04/27/09(Mon)08:16 No.4411644So, backstory time comes around. The DM wants to know how our characters died as well as some backstory. I used the plot from Gurren Lagaan, fantasy-ing it up with the beastmen, but not leaving out the great “War Machines” the humans and beastmen used. How did he die? Well, this is the fantasy version of Kamina, I say to myself, I’ll just tell the DM he died in battle. Greatest sin? Well shit. Besides maybe Ghandi I can’t think of anyone more sin-free than Kamina. Hmm, and I have six episodes to go off of. “Oh,” I said suddenly, breaking the minute long silence between myself and the DM off in another room. “He selfishly kissed a girl before going off to die, he no doubt feels guilty about that.”
So, I was a sixth level Bravura Warlord. Kind of hastily put together, but Bloodclaw Fullblade +2 for Kamina’s Nodaichi, leather armor so he wouldn’t get slowed down, with unarmored parts showing his manly tattoos, and some stuff to increase his already fantastic damage. Blue hair, pink sunglasses that look completely ridiculous, OK. We’re ready to go.
Our characters find themselves in a dark place. No one can see anyone else, not even the drow players. Then, a dim light slowly reveals itself, and a Shadar-kai in gray robes steps out from the shadows. He tells us that we are people who were not meant to die (My ears perk up) and that we’re to participate in a game the Raven Queen allows once a year. One of us will be allowed to return to life. He tells us that we are each to pick a partner, and that we may not communicate except to ask the person if they will be our partner, or accept. Doing so will give us back the abilities we had in life. He then disappears and several shadow-like creatures start to move towards us. |
