About six years ago, when I was still in high school, I was walking down a set of stairs. One of the rubber edges gave away due to wear, and I fell down the stairs. I tried to land, break the fall on my knee and roll away heroically, maybe utter a snappy one liner.
Let me tell you that was a very bad idea. I landed on my knee, and pretty much liquefied it. I then proceeded to roll around on the floor in pain. Totally not manly or awesome. In an epic show of pride and intelligence, I refused to have it looked at by a doctor. So, when it resolidified, it did so...badly. About two years ago, when I began University, I realized I needed a cane, as Florida weather was working wonders on my knee. So, some days I am fine, other days I need my cane to walk around. |
