Persona 3 adaptation:
Characters choose a martial class, any martial class. They make the characters as normal, except they only get to choose at will powers.
Personas: Every character starts with a level 1 persona. This initial persona has their initial encounter and daily powers. Each persona is tied to a mental ability (cha, wis, int) of the player, and they use this ability, and not the one listed in the power description, that is used in place of all others. The first persona is tied to the highest mental ability
Ex: a player, let's call him FAGGY, makes a character named WEABOO McFAG-SAN. His class is fighter. He makes the character as normal, and chooses cleave and sure strike as his at wills. His persona, let's call him Heracles, is tied to his highest attribute, in this case, wisdom. Heracles comes with passing attack as an encounter power, and Brute strike as a daily. These powers work as normal, but they use wisdom in place of the powers primary and secondary abilities.
Whenever the character gains a new power, he gains a new persona, and his old personas gain 1 level. The new persona chooses its mental ability randomly, and it's class is also chosen at random. Any class is allowed. Once you randomly determine ability and class, the player then chooses the power he wants.
Ex: Weaboo MacFag-SAN is now level 2. The DM randomly rolls, resulting in the new persona, let's call him Orpheus, being a wizard, and tied to charisma. So, now, the player, FAGGY, gets to choose a wizard level 2 utility power. Also, Heracles is now level 2.
A persona level is added to the pc's ability that the persona is tied to, as long as that persona is equipped.
Ex: meaning that Weaboo MacFag-SAN now has +2 to wisdom, as long as he is using Heracles. When equipping Orpheus, he gains instead +1 to charisma. |
