08/02/09(Sun)12:09 No.5314826>>5314820 Craft Charro: A Dread Mariachi's outfit is integral to his success. This outfit, known as a charro, is made up of black pants, a black shirt studded with silver, and a sombrero. The charro costs 150 GP to craft, and counts as a masterwork studded leather (+3 AC, +5 max Dex bonus, armor check penalty of -1). The armor and sombrero may be enchanted after creation as normal. A Dread Mariachi can only use abilities granted by his class while wearing the charro.
Three-Piece: A Dread Mariachi cannot work alone. As such, you gain a cohort with a maximum equivalent character level of your equivalent character level -2, and a follower with a maximum ECL of your ECL - 4. (For instance, a Bard 7/Dread Mariachi 1 may have a 6th level Cohort and a 4th level Follower). Followers are equivalent to the Expert class, except they have no weapon proficiencies and the following class skills: Climb (Str), Concentration (Con), Disguise (Cha), Gather Information (Cha), Listen (Wis), Perform (Guitarron/Vihuela/Guitar/Violin/Trumpet) (Cha), Profession (Musician) (Wis), Search (Int), Sense Motive (Wis), Spot (Wis); these cohorts must have maximum ranks in their preferred instrument at all times, though they may spend remaining skill points upon leveling up as they see fit and are not limited to one instrument. Followers have the same alignment as their leader, and have their own charro. Between the Dread Mariachi and his followers, there must be a Trumpet player, Guitarron player, and Vihuela player. Your band follows you by their own will: doing things that would cause your leadership score to go down as with the Leadership skill will also have an adverse effect on your band, at the DM's discretion. If you have the Leadership feat, the followers and cohorts granted by the Dread Mariachi class count towards the Leadership feat's numbers (that is to say, the benefits do not stack). |
