!PkW5/IX/aA 08/31/09(Mon)04:01 No.5663384>>5663288 You bring the tank rumbling forward, lurching out of your hiding spot and roaming down the street, following the path of the Panther. It had been 20 minutes since you last communicated with him, and you still didn't know how to operate the radio. Standing cautiously out of the hatch you scan the area, seeing lots of bodies paving the sides of the streets, mostly Germans. You also see several downed tanks from both sides, one is smashed through the wall of a home, another flipped on it's side with a punched hole out the bottom. The air is thick with smoke and light is scarce, only flames light the path in front of you and the occasional flash in the thick clouds above the rooftops, their booming thump muffled in the fog. As you drive further you come to a bridge that has been taken out, the grade of the river bank is too steep for your tank to traverse, and the water seems unsafe to cross anyway. You scan around for a detour and spot a German tank smoldering, it is clearly a Panther, and you can see the body of the Commander you had spoke with laying beside it, or at least the upper half of him.
Guess he won't be buying that round.
I'm afraid that's all for tonight. I'll keep this spot held and if you guys wish to continue I'll be posting tomorrow night around 9-10ish PST. Thanks fellas, it's been a blast. |
