09/13/09(Sun)19:47 No.5848831>>5848793 I had funner ones.
I was playing as the King of Castille, and I was mostly focusing in diplomacy why conquering minor muslin provinces. I tried everything to get Léon to ally with me(we were of similar power and together we could retake the Iberian Peninsula, just like in real History). But the little fag would decline all my offers.
Suddenly Léon decides to start a private crusade. I thought, "well, nice, if he won't ally to me, I will wait until he overstretch his dominion and then invade him, usurping the title of King of Léon.
Well, apparently my christian friend took awful strategic decisions and attacked one of the strongest sheikdoms around... Needless to say ,he was getting his ass kicked and some lesser sheikdoms jumped in the conflict, tried to conquer all they cloud, like hyenas.
Unexpectedly, Aragon, who had just conquered Navarra, started attacking Léon as well. I was like "what the fuck" and decided that I had to make some moves to establish a new equilibrium in the region.
But I didn't want to risk my armies just yet... So I financially backed Aragon and prayed that they would take Léon's lost territories back to christian rule. Oh god, what mess it became... Léon decided to fight to the last man. I swear they took, lost and retook Asturias like six times.
To makes things worse, my Briton allies decided to conquer Compostella, that was in the hands of what would become Portugal, further weakening the christian kingdoms(me being the only exception). I had to do something so I sent assassins and successfully killed the Sheik of Granada, stirring up a civil war within the muslin states. |
