Uni-Peace's new... "representitive" has this to say:

"Look man, I can't do anything about this - if you've still got Freyja, get Frejya to do this shit for you, man. We can't do shit. We haven't been doing shit since you took her."
    >> Subcontractor Ayebohr 09/16/09(Wed)21:37 No.5889925
"This will be entirely ineffective. What we require from you is information and access to what is known as the "Iron Seal", and whatever it contains. We are willing to lend your leader - Freyja - to this cause."

Where is that woman? Can we get her on the line already?!

This is correct. You kidnapped Freyja when you crashed her stolen jet. Except her real name - and the name you call her - is Joanna.

Hey, just thought I'd point this out from the previous thread:
    >>Skull and crossbones patch is space pirates, or so your satellite says, with four light starships.
    >>starships

I move we send our two carriers over and capture them. Then we don't even need to build our own, and we preempt any attack by them.

Also, tell MSM that we want their jet tech instead of combat-transports. And search the area where Freya's jet is estimated to have gone down--even in the ocean, we have submersible drones.

And build another colossus hauler + harvester pair.

Well, that explains why we haven't suffered any retribution attacks anyway. I was wondering why you guys hadn't tried to fill our asses full of explosive bolts.

We're trying to get Freyja on the phone now.

...so, uh, how are you guys doing over there? Got lots of food and good place to sleep? The, uh, monkeys treating you guys well? We've been running around trying to minimize the damage from this damn virus thing.

How long will it take for our Improved cloaking to be completed, and how long would it take to build PA suits with it integrated in its design?

Also, we really have to choose whether or not we're going to tell the Martian navy where MSM is; now is our only real chance they could be here by tomorrow. and MSM is right at our border so they are not going to be happy.

Let's hold off. In a short while, we'll have much better stealth technology, and might very well be able to take them with a surgical insertion/hijack, which has much lower odds of their escape or the destruction of the desired equipment during resistance.

Break out the gamma weaponry. Modify all existing EMP drones to use it. We MUST hold the line around the mothership for as long as possible; it is the single most valuable resource node that we possess.

Begin relocating all resources stored in base 2 to base 5, immediately. Construct several storage facilities, hab facilities, construction facilities, heavy construction facilities, and a starport at base 5.

Call Uni-Peace. Inform them that if they are unable to stand against the virus they will be permitted to retreat to our territory, or through our territory if they prefer. Proceed to actually allow this.

Fuck, so much for launching EMP missiles. Bring out the gamma, hit every bit of it on our territory hard and thoroughly and stay as far out of reach as we can with the VTOL drones. As soon as it's eradicated, send those drones to assist along AR's line. Build another 20 VTOL gamma/gamma heavy drones to patrol our shores.

    It begins.

Within two hours, your VTOL aircraft lands a few miles from the base. Joanna looks as nature-freaky as ever as you're approach the gates of the city - Joanna is let in, and so are you, without being seen. 25 laser drones and 25 gamma drones hover overhead using their VTOL, stealth technology rendering them pretty quiet. Even further above, 20 heat ray 'copters are stealthed. Even further, a carrier.

The City of Gurruk is filled with thousands of chimps and apes. No, tens of thousands. It's the mother-lode. Everywhere it crammed with the little shits, hundreds of them popping out of everywhere, hundreds of them starving due to lack of food in the city during this mass exodus. The paths are cleared for Joanna as she goes further and further into the city, delving deeper and deeper, going into the heart.

And there it is a - a gigantic ziggurat of sandstone, yet something strange - where some of the rocks have fallen away, metal plating is exposed. It's blatantly obvious the ziggurat is concealed an object of non-monkey construction.

As you approach, the ground slopes down, a yawning cave guarded by more gorillas than you have ever sitting there. Joanna begins to talk hurriedly with her gorilla escort, using the native language. They appear to be arguing about whether she should be let in or not.

Looks like they're about to let here in after several minutes of conversation. The gorilla finally gives up and allows her inside - the interior is also filled with gorillas, examining the area for any hidden clues or secrets.

The interior of the cave is not a ziggurat. It's a fucking space ship. Not only that, but you see the logo in my image splattered everywhere, even if it's slightly dusty and the paint is worn.

It's too small for the VTOL to come in, however - well, if they did come in, their presence would be ever so obvious.

You're led through series of rooms, winding mazes. It's clearly some sort of research vessel - you come across a large chamber filled with thousands of cloning chambers, glass sarcophagi where clones are created. Through this room, you're led into another.

There are nine cyro-cylinders in this room. Four on the left, four on the right, one in the middle and a large blastdoor at the end, with a keypad next to it. The ones on the right contain women, the ones on the left men and the one in the middle contains an aged old man, with a long beard and shaggy hair - quite like a neanderthal in appearance. All of them are in labcoats.

There are eleven gorillas in the room. Two guards at the front, two guards at the "Iron Seal" at the back of the room, seven looking for clues and the original guide.

Joanna simply sighs. "I guess this means they will have to die now." In your own language, of course. The gorillas seem confused. In your earpieces, you hear:
"Take your targets and fire at will."

Gamma guns are by far superior to lasers.

After less than a second, the gorillas begin to fall down. There's no sound. There's nothing to see either. The gorillas just gargle, pain without measure visible in their eyes before you collapse.

Of course, you were wise enough to take care of the guards at the front first. They look like they were about to turn around and scream, but they do not. Instead, they fall down dead, thanks to you.

Also, due to your targetting of the guards by the Seal, one of them falls down for a shot is loosed at Joanna. She barely managed to dive to the side for cover, scrambling away from the scene of the fight.

After a matter of seconds, every gorilla has slumped to the floor. The only sound that is heard was a dull bang as the explosive bolt made a hole in the floor.

You hear gorilla feet approaching - but Samson 70 is already working his magic. Almost immediately, he was hacking into the keypad and after two, maybe three seconds, the seal slides open.

The stunned Joanna is snatched by Dirk and Thatcher, the ladies' men, and pulled inside to safety as the rest of you rush inside. The seal closes and shortly after, fists can be heard smashing into it. Joanna brushes herself off and frowns. "You do know, I can take care of myself, ri--"

She falls silent. It's a crazy sight. You're inside a missle silo with a proud, tall projectile standing erect in the middle of it. There are nine figures, all of them rotten skeletons. Five men, four women. One of the men is old and hairy and his corpse is positioned in a chair, with wires attached to his head, inside of his brain. These wires lead to the chair and also to what looks like a small TV with a camera in the top right of it - he's holding this device on his lap.

Suddenly, something whirrs. It's the camera. It looks around, back and forth - before focusing on you.

"Well, then, it sounds like we don't have much time to waste. I best explain the function of this missle before I start telling you stories. Upon detonation, it releasea blastwave of a certain frequency - a frequency that causes the fragile machinery of the nanovirus to disintegrate. This frequency is stable for an area with a radius of approximately a hundred miles. However - while this is probably key to wiping out the virus at this stage, it's not as simple as that. If the virus detected this missle, it will try to prevent its arrival. You'll need to distract it - not only that, but the central brain is stored in a sealed bunker, deep beneath the ground. This bunker is not contaminated by the virus - but TradeStar turrets and defense drones are probably still active."

    The silo gate opens.
You prep the missle for launch and then you finally launch it, firing it out of the silo, a glistening silver spear about deliver death to the deadliest enemy.
In unison, the vast majority of your missle stocks are also fired, straight for the same island, to arrive approximately at the same time - some before, some after.

Shortly after this event, several lengths of cord descend from your cloaked VTOL, that's hovering just above the silo, waiting for you to climb up the ropes and on to it. In five hours, you should be at the island - which should be clean of the virus. Doctor Sharev speaks.

You know let's copy and record all relevant data regarding the virus, then we can ask the Martian Navy (or one of the other corps) to keep it just in case we suddenly go missing or just get them to spread it. The head of Hajjar affairs did threaten to basically kill us all or at least strand us on this planet.

I'm going to have to bail for little while at least; if I'm not able to rejoin I'll be looking forward to reading this on the archives.

Some stuff I'd like to say before I go:
If we can recover the downed fighter Joanna had (we have combat logs to reference for its location, and we know where the pod landed), we should be able to nab jet tech for some proper air to air combat drones on our carriers. Even if it crashed into the ocean, we have plenty of submersible scavengers for that.

We probably can scrap the idea of having strictly combat colossus drones. Carriers seem to be where it's at--much more total weaponry per colossus, great fuel efficiency with being able to refuel at least a thousand smaller drones. Maybe transport-combat at the most.

Let's get our scientists to get some advancements to lasers. Or just buy them, we have a lot of income from this month's expensive investments paying us back and then some.

And once our fleet gets done with the pirates (assuming the fleet survives and is successful), our slaver bots should go nab the motherload of natives.

"Harry Garrish. That would probably be the guy who controls this entire operation. He demanded me to work for TradeStar or else my wife and kids would be killed. There were several others in the same position as me. We had a job - we were meant to design the ultimate form of drone. Not those clunky, giant things you use at the moment but an endless swarm, a black tide of nanites that could cover the land, doing things that none of your current drones could do.

"However, there was a problem. It couldn't decipher such basic, simple orders that man gives - so, we had to design a being intelligent enough to decipher TradeStar's commands, intelligent enough to command these nanites where we could not. Somewhere along the line, it became self-aware and used its control over the nanites to overrun the research site. We sealed the bunker before the virus could reach it and we boarded the ship before the virus reached it and we flew away - to this location.

"We launched a missle dedicated to wiping out any trace of the virus on the island - but clearly, that wasn't enough and we knew it might not be enough, so we developed another, just in case. We gathered a selection of the native primates and I managed to uplift them, also implanting this religion that they are so fanatical about in their minds, myths that would eventually come true, myths that would lead people like you here. Of course, they were confused and hostile - we were forced to hide inside this chamber before we were killed and we've been here ever since - dead. All dead. I knew the nanovirus would survive and I knew that the natives would have to lead you here in order for the nanovirus I helped create to be wiped out forever.

"If TradeStar wants the central brain of the nanovirus back, they cannot have it. Ever. This is too dangerous to go into the hands of anyone or anything."

Doctor - Father - whichever you prefer, I have two questions for you:

Do you have any objections to destroying or enslaving the remaining apes, chimps, and gorillas? Second, Tradestar has given us a do or die scenario regarding the nanovirus core. Is there any reasonable way of dealing with them that doesn't involve our death, destruction, or being in constant hiding that you know of?
