She's dead and thuds to the ground. The vampires begin to scatter at her death however, and you walk up for good measure and give her a strength and revenge infused face punch. Her head bursts like a melon.

The sky seems to be clearing up, it seems she had some control over the weather letting the vampires stay outside. Five of the hunters are left with you. You can hear fighting still deep inside the cave behind you.

Torch light and the occasional bursts of fire, lightning and green flames fill a massive hollowed out cave after a short jog down the mouth of the cave. The true battle was raging in here, swarms of small whelps with no acid glands are all over, fighting with the Dwarfs.

Larger horse sized drakes wrestle with warriors all over them. At the heart of the battle a bloody, but living king struggles to fight the beast. It seems he is holding his own fine as long as he only has the queen to worry about. Despair's End is raging with its enchants swirling about lashing at the dragon even as blows miss her, or deflecting her Green flames even as if the weapon was sentient.

I vote we free up the other soldiers. Focus on the horse sized ones first, each one we kill frees up a few more dwarves along with removing a threat.

Stay away, but if any of our dudes look like they're going to bite it, we interfere with a bolt to the head.

The king is yelling in his own language, but he has managed to get atop a massive out cropping, and seems ready to leap from it.

The soldiers you freed up from that Drake move on to the next one as you gather up your chains and stakes to go after another.

At first you try to struggle with them, grabbing one with your metal hand and strangle it. It is like a cloud of flying biting and clawing cats. Flesh rips on your neck and claws try to dig through your armor, you can hear teeth scraping against your steel arm.

You swing your shield knocking a load of them away, and with that moment of clarity you think, you pull out a bomb with your other hand, as you wildly swing your shield. The two hunters get near you and the three of you huddle together, once more one of them lights your bomb by instinct, but he looks really nervous.

You pull the shield back over the three of you as you toss the bomb above your head, the explosion sends a cloud of dragon bits and green guts, black blood all around covering you in the spray.

Not all the shrapnel is taken in the shield however, but the wounds the three of you take are superficial.

As you stand you can see the two you got to guard the king have a very large drake pinned down, just barely, as their chains are being melted. It looks like it was heading to assist the queen.

As you look up to glance at the king he is fighting at head level with the queen, not yet jumped off, but it looks like he will make a hell bent attack against her shortly, as long as nothing interrupts him.

He is holding off an attack of green flames with the powers of the axe. And the queen looks like she is running out of steam. You realize he could win, the drake is breaking free and keeps looking up at the king, as if he just wants to tear free and reach him while he is distracted. You realize his fate hangs on your aid.

Of course you could not give it. Your arm begins to hurt to vibrate. With him gone you could sway the princess enough in her tears and weakness. You could Rule the empire through her even if she never wed you. Power could be yours. Glory. The axe could be yours once more...

All you have to do is let the king die and save me from his wrath.

This still seems too easy. We've defeated most of the vampires, and the drakes are slowly coming down. I don't buy it.

You rush forward, intent on crushing the threat right in front of you, loading a cross bow bolt and holding your shield in front of you to take the spray of acid, you get close enough to pin its head to the ground and shoot a bolt into its eye.

You can hear a deathcry behind you however as you see the leader speared through the chest by that nasty looking vampires blade. The two other blood suckers move to bite into him.

Struggling his hand holds up the explosive you gave him before, somehow he had managed to light it before. Your eyes burn as you stare into the explosion watching the dwarf and three vampires go out in flame.

It takes a few weeks, but they go by fast. It has been almost a year since the tower incident first set you out from your town. The Wing is nearly complete, and it is strange how much the gold dragon told you without speaking.

You use the Blackdragon's wing as a base, but you use gold and Black-Steel to set places that look like they would give way to rot eventually. Only light amounts so the wing can still fly. Runes you do not understand, that you do not grasp are carved by your hands as if you could not control them. Whenever you are not hard at work, you spend time with the Princess, she controls herself, but it is painfully obvious she wants more then friendship, it just seems with her status it will be complicated, and up to you to charge that path.

Eventually you and a team have a wing that mimics the Gold Dragon's missing one. The eye has been preserved, and the King himself has told you he will escort you to the Caves with his Great eagle, it is all ready to set about whenever you wish.
