10/29/09(Thu)00:14 No.6478659>>6477709 A wave of putrid smell pushed back the two. "Christ, this is awful" Complained Richard, bringing his shirt to his nose. "Aye," said Davis, "The collective smell of twelve rotting men."
The nearly decomposed body of the radio operator lie strapped to his chair, his head was bent at a wrong angle, the crash threw his head forward, bringing a swift death. Those who were not strapped in were flung into the front of the craft, their shattered bodies lie in a heap next to the cockpit.
Davis walked to the primitive radio console, and quickly found what he was looking for. A silver compass sat in a wooden block, attached to the table. The compass was in the wood, this was to avoid thefts.
Richard drew his knife a pried the object out of the wood. An easy task as it was cold, the metal poped out easily. He brushed off the ash and examined the nearly 400 year old item. A gold arrow pointed to the south west, with gold letters inscribed on the face.
"Todos se encuentran, se pierden ninguno." "What?" "It reads: All are found, none are lost."
"We finally have the damn thing?"
"yes, we have it"
"Good, lets get out of here befo-"
Davis went silent suddenly
Ritchard was puzzled, he had heard nothing. But then it dawned on him. The light out side had gone off, Charlie had heard something, and knowing him it wasn't an owl or cricket.
Davis reached out and grabbed the orb, and crushed it. A slight cracked sounded as the light died. Richard was swept in darkness. His eyes slowly adjusted to the moon light spilling into the door.
They walked out side, and spotted Charlie crouching behind a husk of metal. Peering in the direction from which they came. |
