You whisk about gathering last minute items: a tarp (unfortunately, a little moth eaten), a basic toolkit (while not enough room for as much as you would like, you've got the essentials like a hammer, a few screwdrivers, pliers, allen wrench, some nails, and so on), and a can of extra gas from the T-bird. The last one takes a bit of willpower to go back to, but desperate times call for desperate measures. You're still trying to wash out the taste of gas from your mouth after siphoning it off. Nobody ever mentioned that it needed some skill.
The sleep passes uneventfully, making up for the interrupted night. The only difference is the clouds rolling in. Final preparations are made, and you head out to the truck. |
