You suggest that a series of hit and run attack, similar to the ones that the Federation utilised against the Mastodon Battalion during Operation Elephant. He considers it.
"Unfortunately David, such a strategy requires a near undending supply of forces, which we don't have, or the ability for our forces to attack and escape unscathed. Unfortunately, due to minovsky particles, we cannot target the enemy any further away than within range of it's guns. Whose heavy flak you've felt first hand. Our current air forces have taken heavy hits in the Jaburo assault and the defence of the southern US, and we don't have much more available fighters than what I've been able to scroung here. Also, the White Base's heavy beam cannons would make an easy meal of any Gaw that got too close, so that possibility is out of the way."
He then states.
"So realistically, what are our options?"
"Wait for it to make a tactical blunder which we can take advantage of. At the moment it's in difficult terrain and flying low, making air attacks even more hazardo..."
"Sir! The enemy ship has launched a small fighter!"
"Is it on an orbital escape trajectory?" asks an agitated Char.
"Confirmed sir! The ship is on escape velocity!"
"I knew it! Garma, I'm taking the Kommusai, with it's escape boosters it might just..." Char runs out of the room, Garma begins barking orders to the staff to make sure the Kommusai is clear to launch.
