    125 KB PRIMARCH QUEST PART 4 Anonymous 03/29/10(Mon)22:24 No.8866464
    Last Thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/8846702/

You are Rachnus Rageous, Primarch of the II Legion, the Desert Fangs. You are a Null, as are a good portion of your marines, and at the moment, you and your brother Alpharius are plummeting to the rebel planet below in the bowels of your personal Thunderhawk, accompanied by your childhood friend Fal and five hundred of your Silencers in trailing Thunderhawks. The denizens of the planet are suspected of sorcery, and you and your Silencers are, in coordination with Alpha Legion, attempting to land near the capital, tunnel beneath it to its power source, and disable it, leaving the defenders helpless.

Pic related, what one of your average tactical squad marines looks like.

    >>8866667

Yes, as I recall that was going to be ALpha Legion's job.

As the Thunderhawk enters the planet's atmosphere, the ship begins to shake - Nothing unusual, but unnerving all the same, knowing that if something were to go wrong, there's no way you'd be able to influence your fate. Alpharius grins at you, as Fal pulls on his helmet.
    >> Anonymous 03/29/10(Mon)22:38 No.8866750
    >>8866699
Righto. Sounds good. Do we have Silencers placed with every squad in order to ensure encrypted communications?
    >> That Motherfucking Goblin !XGZ8nDwSYI 03/29/10(Mon)22:43 No.8866831
    >>8866750

You've got 500+ Silencers preparing to deploy on the planet's surface, I think it's a safe bet you'll have enough for just about anything.

You can feel the turbulence declining, as the Thunderhawk prepares to land. Within half a minute, the ship has settled down in the deployment zone, and you can hear the other gunships landing nearby. Unstrapping himself, Alpharius stands up and punches in the code to open the rear bay doors. As the ramp descends, Alpharius motions to you and Fal to follow him.

You follow Alpharius down the ramp, where an Alpha Legionnaire with black armor is awaiting you. Your brother turns to you at the base of the ramp. "So, Rachnus, where do you need my men and I to begin our assault?"

What's the disposition of the enemy forces? We need to hit somewhere that we would actually normally attack. Like a weak point or vital power plant. Make talk as if our own Legion is getting ready to reinforce the assault, then burrow and attack the place they pull forces from in response.

Alpha Legion changes their colors as necessary. Omegon's team, the Effrit Stealth Squad wears all black, for example. So the Legionnaire we see now is either Omegon or one of the men in his team.

    >>8867077

The marine in black hands Alpharius a map of the city, which he displays to you. "There appears to be a rail-line leading out of the city - It's a weak point in their walls. We'll attack there, which should hopefully distract them enough for your ruse to succeed."

Alpharius nods, and directs the black-suited marine to gather the nearest 20 Silencers, as he strides off through the trees surrounding the landing zone - Towards his own Legion's base, presumably. As he disappears, the black-clad marine and 20 of your Silencers following him, Fal joins you at your side.

Alright. Split every tunneler into pairs. Then evenly divide our entire force between each pair. A third of the division advances directly behind the Sandlegs while the rest linger back a ways in case the tunnels collapse while we burrow. Just before we break free, the other guys move up and then we bum rush them en mass.

Within minutes, 15 10-man squads, each with its own burrowing Sandleg, are assembled at the edge of the treeline closest to the capital, with a sixteenth squad accompanying you and another Sandleg. As one, the spiders begin to burrow, and within minutes, the sixteen squads have vanished, the beasts of burden digging rapidly towards the city's underbelly.

They're unaffected by your Null field, as far as you can tell. The leader speaks, his voice distorted by his vox. "Alpharius is doing the best that he can do distract them above - Myself and my squad used the opportunity to sneak into the city. They're using something we've never seen before - We're not sure whether they're some sort of bizarre Xenos life-forms or mutated warp-sorcerors, but there's a lot of them and they're tough."

"Their human troops seem to be no better trained than the Imperial Guard, just better armed... But we've seen a number of Xenos creatures, from the foul things that lie before you -" He points to the multifaced corpses on the floor, "To a tremendous humanoid avian, clad in robes and wielding some sort of staff, that appeared out of nowhere when Alpharius began to push into the city."

No, once we have the info from them, send them off to raise hell separately. It should create another distraction to help our strike force make it in, and we don't really need the extra manpower

He nods, and the Alpha Legion squad heads down another corridor, as you and the 160 Nulls you have down here with you continue on towards the city center. As you draw closer to the target, the light in the corridors seems to be pulsing more and more noticeably, almost like a heartbeat.

Finally, you round a corner, and before you lies a massive cavern, at least two miles in diameter. At the center, you can see what looks like a vast, pulsating heart, blue fire arcing across its surface. However... Standing between you and it is a vast swarm of gibbering creatures of every shape and color, constantly changing forms and hues.

As your men call out their warcry, the creatures shriek something as well, in a language not meant for the ears of men, as they charge forward towards you. However, once they come within ten meters of you and your SIlencers, they stop in their tracks, hissing and shrieking furiously, as those closest to you begin to melt.

I mean, if we have to choose between the Emprah and Chaos, that's not a hard choice - We couldn't go over to Chaos if we wanted to.

I think we might have some problems with 'Necron heresy' in the lower ranks. Given the fact that the null gene was introduced by the Necrons, they might set designs on us as their advanced force. Of course they won't succeed.
