Upon plundering the treasure vaults of High Lord Spruesworth, nephew of the Emperor, you were marked for death and pursued across the universe by all manner of beings under his employ! Futuron law may grant you hold of any riches you are able to sack, but the Imperial court cares not!

Together with the fearless Endman of Futuron, the beautiful Officer Clarke of the Space Police, and your faithful robot Bennie you sought a campaign to wrest his iron grip from the worlds of the Imperial fringe.

When he died by your hand the sector rejoiced, and for a time you were free to live as a free man of Futuron!

This idle pleasure was not to be, however!

Soon after gambling away the last of Spruesworth's riches your trail was again found by bounty hunters, this time paid from the purse of the Emperor himself, seeking your head for the crime of regicide!

The hunters were soon bested, and before more could arrive you fled along with Endman to Clarke's ancestral home of Paradisa. There you devised a scheme to bait a pair of bounty hunters and take their places, to infiltrate their guild and destroy it. Without the guild to do his bidding the Emperor must wage his war against you openly!

While the others readied themselves for the trip, you were enticed by Officer Clarke... or so it seemed! The encounter was merely a ruse meant to catch you off-guard, for Clarke's own sister hoped to reap the Emperor's bounty for your capture!

Only a Futuron's strange luck saved you, and with Clarke's sister safely bound you fled Paradisa moments ahead of the Empire, bearing with you Clarke's sister, their mother, and the bounty hunter Orrin.

Now, on this strange and remote planet Endman led you to, the four of you lay plans to ambush the universe's most cunning opponents.

"I will give her mother the key to her shackles, for even unbound there is no mischief she may make on this world once we depart. Naught exists here save for what is worked from the ground," Endman speaks. "The women will be content enough until we return, though I do not favor leaving the hunter Orrin alongside them."

"Spaceman!" Clarke exclaims, turning away from her sister at last and holding out her transcoder. "The rumors I've sowed through the loyal officers of the Space Police now bear fruit! A pair of hunters have been spotted on the planet Tarvus, drawn there by the prospect of your head. If we leave now, we may yet catch them unaware!"

Behind him another figure follows, dressed in a patchwork of battle armor just as the first. This one is female, and Clarke recognizes her as well!

"That's Wilkes and Tarin, a pair of vicious killers. They're the ones we were told of."
