!b0vpMZLBb6 02/05/12(Sun)16:56 No.17819699>Tell me, have you ever thought of trying other colours?
"Red is the uniform. It, uh... It's easier to clean up the testing chambers. When we use the convicts, you see." she says, nervously. "Argyle always did that himself, though. Something about preferring to clean up after himself." she says, letting out a quiet laugh tinged with nervousness. "Anyway. It's red or nothing." she says with a nod.
>I see. I've been wondering - what is my status in the kingdom?
"Intelligent items are first-class citizens. I would put them on the same level as nobles - the Queen was adamant they be treated with kindness and respect, and we uphold that tenet." she says. "After all, it's not like they can move around or anything without help, with some exceptions. So we take care of them. After all, they helped defeat Sanguinus, the Orcs, and now the Fae. You might even say that they are the backbone of the kingdom."
>Hrm. Is there any store that knows how to accessorize a weapon like me?
"I... no, not really. You're not exactly a common weapon. You're probably one of a hundred or so miniture cannons available. And you're the only magical one."
>I see. May I see this place from above?
"Oh, sure. I know a place."
She ducks through the crowd, smiling to herself, until she reaches a tall watch-tower, clambering up a ladder inside with surprising ease despite her robe. At the top, you can see out, over the crowds. The size of the city is a little daunting, and a castle looms over it at its centre. High walls surround it, and the land outside it has been terraformed with trenches and other wartime constructions on one side. Still, it is a marvelous city. "U-uhm, the view is nice, but it's a mite windy. Can we go down, now?" she asks, holding down her robe to keep the wind from flipping it up. |
