The Mountains of the Moon spread through the eastern corner of Westeros, scratching the sky with their high peaks. Infested with savage clans of mountain men, it is a wild place, scarcely under the control of its lord. One region shines brightest, however, and that’s the Vale of Arryn. Wrested from the old Mountain Kings of the First Men, the Vale of Arryn is now the seat of power for one of the purest Andal lines in Westeros and features the lands and holdings of House Arryn and those banners sworn to him. Houses sworn to House Arryn enjoy the benefits of the mountains, but there is little available land for new lords. Furthermore, the mountain clans cause endless trouble for the people living here.

The turtle-lovers aren't the only ones with a natural defense: we get +20 ourselves. Along with +10 influence. Unfortunately, we get -5 lands and population, and -10 law. We'll see how that all turns out when the stat rolls line up.

House Bussard was formed from a now-vanished house's remnants during the Blackfyre rebellion. Its survivors took residence in the Vale, and bolstered their numbers by allying with a band of the savage men living there.

They acquired their current home, a castle of solid stature, when they were invited inside by the Benards, a house sworn to the Vale. Lord Bussard and his men struck before they had tasted bread or salt, and struck off the outstretched hand of aid. The castle and its women now theirs, they managed to stave off a siege by the rest of the Vale by immediately swearing fealty--and their fortified position at a time when the Vale had other problems was of no small consideration. As part of the terms, all lands surrounding the castle were stripped from them. They live on what little they have, and are often paid to keep the savage hillfolk occupied--and away from the Vale's trade routes.

Benefits and drawbacks. As a middle aged lord, you get 3, but one is already taken (Head of House). You can also take drawbacks to get more. Any you don't use you get Destiny Points for (at least one is probably a good idea).

She was raped and such, which emotionaly scarred her (explaining all those negative traits). This girl has not had a kind life. The Iron Beak being a poor place for a young girl, she was sent elsewhere in the Vale for a proper upbringing. Nobody talks about it, but a bastard's flogged and hung body was delivered in a box when she was returned to her family.
