That night, you lie in your room, leaning up against Grayson, closing your eyes and trying to control the arcane serpent coiled around your arm. It's much easier than you thought it would be- The soulfire does feel a part of you, for some reason. . .

For a moment, you wonder why it's serpentine; it would be a lot more thematically appropriate if it was some other creature, like a bear or something. Maybe when your soulfire awoke, there was something related to it- Something about the swamp brew you'd drank, perhaps. . .

Someone raps on the door, almost in a panic, and Raziel opens it without waiting for a response. She grabs your shoulders, and looks directly into your eyes; obviously very slightly drunk on swamp brew. She looms close to you, and in a tiny voice, speaks.

"Help me." She warbled. "Ezekiel is into *human* women. What do I doooo?"
