We are holding back Zeon forces in Jaburo and forcing them to fall back, making them shit their flight suits by using an MS team of dressed up Gundams, minimizing losses in what we've already calculated to be a futile attempt to decapitate the Federation.

It's possible that he rigged the self-destructs to NOT automatically quench the reactor, as what happens when a Mobile Suit is fatally hit by a beam shot.
However, that's still a couple of nukes going off, probably less than 10 kilotons, when the tunnels of Jaburo are all of Brazil.
And the blocks would have already high-tailed it away from the fighting, and unlikely to be caught by the suits going critical.
Sure, there will be damage, but due to the sheer size and modular design of Jaburo, I predict that the Federation will have the manufacturing blocks back up within a day at least, and within a week at most.

Also, Char's angry because the Zabi family killed his parents right? Sorry, rather new to Gundam, all I know is from this quest and Zeon Quest.

The Turn 8 documents are supposed to contain the complete schematics for the Turn 8 Gundam. Pretty much an endgame Mobile Suit.

As for Char, he's angry that the Zabi family (or at least Degwin or Gihren) assassinated his father and hijacked the Spacenoid movement from getting all humans into space for the next step in evolution, to perpetuating the same geo-political games as those nations still on Earth.
