Your biology work seems to be due soon. You have always been interested in people, even if only from a scientific viewpoint. Silents fills the table for a minute before she returns with your food. She sets the lasagna in front of you and the Alfredo in front of Friend-kun.

The rest of your meal passes in relative silence. You each talk about a few little things in your life, but Friend-kun takes the majority of control of the conversation. He talks about his latest social situations, tell a few anecdotes with inside jokes that you dont quite get, tells you that he is now in the reserves, so he probably wont get called back soon, but he should be ready just in case, and then gets in a bit of a debate over different roleplay systems.

" - well, I kind of like the new thing DM-bro is using. It really pulls together the advantages of some systems, while eliminating the majority of the flaws. It truly is the utopia of roleplaying games."

Waitress-chan happens to hear this while walking by.

"Oooh, roleplaying games? I used to be into those a while ago. What are you guys talking about?"

"Well, we were discussing the new system our GM is using. It seems pretty great so far, and I really hope we keep using it. Speaking of which, it is probably about time to be leaving. We have a session this afternoon."

I feel it would be in the spirit of the quest, being a slice of life quest revolving a girl who likes RP game, to have more "skill checks" with dice rolls when she does stuff normal people should be able to do, like cooking or talking to new people. it gives a chance for both character development, and some lol moments when we get ridiculously low rolls.

As for the drawing, I cant draw. If you know the story of the original picture, it was posted in a "Draw your party" thread. I merely used it as a base for this quest. I would have done a webcomic instead if I could draw.

I can see that. I have tried to make her pretty fumbly when talking to people to compensate for that, but I can see where you might want a chance to be a Casanova.

I am, however, not going to ever have any skillchecks when talking to Friend-kun. I feel like that is entire against the "Childhood Friend" image.

But any drawfags out there can feel free to modify anything I do. Similarly, writefags can do a spinoff, continue my plot, or do whatever you want.

I want to keep this a fairly open project. I did not come up with the idea, and even now, players are doing most of the thinking. I dont want this to be a "I write quest, you play it." I want this to a "We write a quest, then admire what we came up with together."

And I decided it would be fun to just have a character use honorifics, as I am using them as names. It isnt a Japanese roleplay. Think of "Shy-chan" as her actual name. I might call you John or I might call you Friend-kun.
