>"I fight for freedom, mine and everyone's. I fight for the right to choose our own fate. And if I die, I'll die knowing that I did everything I could to stop you. And I'll die free."

Earth is burning. The flames rise higher and higher as you stare at the skies above, where the incessant firing of the universe's space forces falls silent. You've been fighting for the last forty-eight hours nonstop. It has been one firefight after another, and it's only now, with the last fires in the skies above dying out, that you can rest.

Why? Because Earth has been reclaimed. Though the Crucible was a failure, reports indicating that it had exploded abruptly, the forces of the Alliance and the galaxy at large, unified behind Commander Shepard, have bested the Reapers in a straight fight. The alien monsters on Earth are not all gone, but with space secured, the land war is an inevitable victory.

This does not mean that the galaxy is safe, but the majority of the Reapers have been slain in this major conflict. The Reapers seeming to have lost cohesion in the aftermath of the Crucible's detonation, the victory in space was brutal, difficult, and harsh.

Much like the fight you've waged here.
>>
>>22180200
You're currently in the remains of an old Alliance headquarters building, somewhere in the midst of North America. The building itself is torn to shreds, a Reaper capital ship's falling form having carved a gouge in the middle of it, but it's a strategic asset all the same. You've heard word that there's an abandoned armory facility in the area, perhaps still viable, and the headquarters holds the information of its locale.

Your exact position is one of the conference rooms, having blasted apart several husks, a full squad of Marauders, and eventually having taken a stop here to let your shields recharge and your body recover.

You look into a broken piece of mirrored glass, surrounded by sparking monitors placed on a conference table, a few of them still apparently connected to the extranet. You decide to take stock of the situation.

>Character Generation Time
>Race, Specialization, Perks
>>
>>22180212
>Race:
>Human: They're humans, dipshit. Good at most everything, but other species have specializations that are far superior.

>Turian: Militaristic and disciplined. You've had extensive upbringing in a military culture, standing at over six feet tall. Your metallic carapace lends you some extra durability.

>Krogan: Standing over seven feet tall and weighing almost one ton in full armor, you're an impressive example of natural selection, your body possessing redundant organs and a thick hide virtually impervious to cuts, scrapes or contusions. You are highly resistant to environmental hazards, including toxins, radiation, and extreme heat and cold. However, Krogan culture is fiercely tribal.

>Quarian: Biologically weak but mentally brilliant, the Quarians suffer from severe immunological weakness. You must wear your environmental suit in all but the most pristine of decontaminated areas. Even minor suit breaches are cause for alarm, though you have adapted yourself accordingly. Quarians are remarkable engineers and pilots, as well as having a bit of a negative reputation for being scavengers.
>>
>>22180230
>Salarian: Salarians possess a hyperactive metabolism; they think fast, talk fast, and move fast. A bipedal race of amphibians, with tall, elongated bodies well-suited for their high metabolism, and skeletons composed of more cartilage than those of other races such as humans. Salarians have photographic memories and rarely forget a fact. "Knowledge is power" is a major axiom for the Salarians, as emphasized in their extensive special forces and spy networks.

>Asari: Often considered the most powerful and respected sentient species in the known galaxy. A mono-gender race—distinctly feminine in appearance and having maternal instincts—the asari are known for their elegance, diplomacy and biotic talent. Asari huntresses fight individually or in pairs, depending on the tactics preferred in their town. One-on-one, a huntress is practically unbeatable, possessing profound tactical insight, a hunter's eye, and a dancer's grace and alacrity. However, they are not as durable as other races, and rely on ambush, infiltration, and assassination, demoralizing and defeating their enemies through intense, focused guerrilla strikes.

>Batarian: Batarians are similar to Humans in terms of talents, but possessing four eyes instead of two. However, with a strict social structure and a penchant for slavery, Batarians are often connected to the seedier elements of society.

>Geth: A race of networked artificial intelligences created by the Quarians, that eventually rebelled and broke away from them. The frames that the Geth use are physically similar to that of Quarians, but much more durable. Most Geth are composites of programs distributed across multiple frames, sharing processing power to increase intellect. In your case, you were designed to operate independently from the collective, your mechanical body hosting a dozen times the normal amount of VIs compared to other Geth.

HUMANITY FUCK YEAH.

...Okay. I'd be fine with humans. But the lulz would go for the Hanar.

>>22180240
Human.
>>22180445
Not being OP I can't be sure how much he's gonna rely on us to know the setting.
Just so you know, Hanar are floating jellyfish dudes who speak in EXTREMELY formal tones at all times. The reason they're so beloved is Blasto: The Hanar SPECTRE, basically a parody of old school action movies. Enkindle this.
>>
Seconding Krogan. Because fuck yeah, Krogan.

I haven't even followed this quest at all, but I'm going to say Krogan since I've started replaying the games recently and Wrex is awesome.

Two for Krogan.

>>22180405
>>22180460
>>22180492
Two (Three?) for Hanar. Enkindling via Hanar will be somewhat difficult in a Blasto-esque fashion due to the Hanar's weak physiology. Shielding would be your best bet for survival, and tentacle-strangling enemies. Hanar tendrils have a very high strength, but they're still very physically fragile. Not ideal if you expect to see a lot of violence. Which you just might, unless you're smart.

I wish that's how it was, especially after Shep's speech.

>>
>>22180966
There are dissenters among us for anything we do, not matter how righteous or vicious. Hell, even the race that is literally a bunch of tiny programs inside robotic bodies has dissenters and opposition. They are more mechanical than the fucking machines.

Krogan.

Consensus seems split between Krogan and Geth.

So... I'll list the specializations for both and let you decide, to keep things moving. Remember: Geth make awesome engineers, but don't have biotics. Krogans aren't so great with technology, but are one-person armies.

Krogan:
>Krogan Battlemaster: A mixture of biotic and raw combat ability. Wielding an assault rifle, shotgun, pistol, and an array of brute-force biotic abilities to shield yourself and rip your foes asunder, you are a true master of battle. Your talents are limited only by your reserves of energy and your ammunition supply.

>Krogan Sentinel: Armed with an assault rifle, advanced lift anti-gravity grenades, and an omni-tool with flamethrower capabilities, you're a force of technology to be reckoned with. You're no Quarian, but then again, who needs to be when you can just brute force things?
>>
>>22181006

>Krogan Soldier: Pretty straightforward. Armed with a rifle, shotgun, pistol, and grenade launcher (as well as an abundance of grenades and ammunition), you're not a biotic, but you're ten times tougher than the average man. Foes beware!

Geth:
>Geth Engineer: Geth engineers are elite support specialists. Unique perception systems give geth an unsurpassed understanding of the battlefield. Armed with a submachine gun and advanced VI software enabling you to overload shields, deploy turrets, and more, you're able to take command of most situations with the proper use of hacking.

>Geth Infiltrator: Geth hunters converge quickly on a target while remaining undetected. Unique perception systems give geth an unsurpassed understanding of the battlefield, with chameleon infiltration cloaking systems, proximity mines, and high-powered sniper rifles enabling you to eliminate most targets with stealth and power.

>Geth Trooper: The soldier of the Geth, armed with an assault rifle, advanced kinetic barrier emitters, forearm-implanted flamethrower, and redundant hardware. A combat frame if there ever was one designed.

Interesting! Opinion seems split evenly between Geth Infiltrator and Krogan Battlemaster.

So I'll take the high ground!

Race Selection: Krogan Battlemaster (edged out Geth by one).
>BONUS PERK: Companion (Geth Infiltrator): Having proven your worth by virtue of service, you have been awarded... Well, an unnamed Geth. He is essentially subservient to you, with you as his superior. There's also the fact that he's very newly created and requires experience. His consensus has been to "Integrate into a beneficial relationship, providing services of aid for experiences acquired."

>Perk Selection: Choose 2
>Perks:
>Companion (Third): You acquire a third person of comparable skill to your own. Could be one of the above classes, or an entirely new race of your own choosing.
>Squad: You procure a squad of Krogans under your guidance. They're part of your own tribe, Clan Urdnot, and will follow your orders to the best of their abilities. They're not nearly as talented as you, but they're tough. Tough enough to survive Thresher Maws, at least.
>Credit Line: Your long term of service and experience has given you a large starting credit line. Enough to buy a good number of things, at least.
>>
>Biotic God: Your biotic abilities are without equal, at least among your peers. You have found yourself shielded against direct heavy weapons fire, and doors are merely paper for you to barrel through.
>Deep Magazines: You have plenty of extra thermal clips and grenades on you. Ammunition is almost never a concern, and you usually have an extra grenade (or six) to spare.
>Medi-Gel Man: You've purchased some special cybernetic implants that give you an internal reserve of medi-gel. Your endurance and constitution are almost maddening, and your Krogan physiology heals to the point that your enemies cower in fear.
>Connections (Legal/Illegal): You have a number of connections, be they legal or illegal (you choose). You can have friends in the Alliance that you did jobs for, or friends with the Blue Suns and other outfits. Either way, you can call in favors. Be that with C-SEC erasing records or in getting a shuttle ride somewhere fast.
>Personal Ship: You have a ship of your own. It's a small, almost laughable thing, able to fit yourself, perhaps a dozen others, and equipped with an autopilot VI and an Eezo core for Relay travel. It's still your baby, though, and is livable.
>>

He can be like our own pet Gurkha. A small man, but AMAZINGLY dangerous.

Guys, I already voted but I gotta tell you, I play a ton of ME3 multiplayer and Asari Adept controls the field like no other.

Oh god. Could you imagine a Krogan with that shit?
>>
>>22181372
we so totally need to give him a monomolecular edged kukri
>>
>>22181365
I'm switching by second vote from Medi-gel Man, which you will all regret not getting, to connections so we have people to talk to, favors we can call in, and so on, it's really useful..

Also I think illegal connections would be most useful, there are some things you can't get from legal sources.

We'll just have to find our own Asari and impress her enough with our skills that she comes along.

And it can't go wrong, no one will expect him to turn into a raging warrior and that's why he'll win.
>>
>>22181365
Okay connections, the Asari Adept is just going to kill a Human while on the colony of Tiptree.
>>
>>22181384
not combat all the time, which is why wee need asari waifu
>>
>>22181396
Illegal connections would cost more however, even for things we could get legally, since illegal stuff has a higher markup.
Not the OP, but just a thought.
>>
>>22181396
Given that the galaxy is just coming back from the brink of destruction, I think illegal is really the best bet. Criminal activities are going to soar and all the bueracratic red tape is really going to drag down the crippled governments.

>>22181403
Neither asari nor krogan are very charming, though. If you wanted waifu bullshit you should have gone with somebody else.
>>
>>22181384
Fair enough. Stasis is just my favorite ability ever. Makes Phantoms go from "Holy Shit!" dangerous to an easy kill.
>>
>>22181423
>all the bueracratic red tape is really going to drag down the crippled governments.

Really?

In a desperate move, the turians released its specifications over the extranet so that nearly anyone with a fabricator could manufacture this weapon to help the war effort.

...What if legal connections got us new Turian Prototypes?

Damn it, I'll stick with illegal connections because maybe Aria later, but red tape isn't the worst part of legal connections.

No, but it might be the worst part of doing without them. Still, I feel confident enough in saying that illegal connections will be paying off more.

Indeed it isn't. Having to deal with Councilor Greentext Valern.

>implying Sovereign wasn't just a really big Geth ship

Not gonna lie, he was far and away my favorite councilor.

Hey guys? What would the Turian equivalent of flipping someone the bird be?
>>22181558
Oh mine too. He was entertaining specifically because he was such a dick. And he had more personality than the other two combined.

>Biotic God selected

You set your M-8 Avenger on the wood of the conference table, your Krogan physiology already working to heal what minor injuries you've sustained.

You also throw your shotgun next to it, the M-22 Katana not exactly your favorite weapon, but one that's the easiest for you to get your hands on. Not like you need much firepower anyways: You've got a small sun burning in your belly from the biotic power coursing in your veins. Your biotic amps are turned to full strength, but even they feel like leashes reining in your true potential.

Your Geth companion, currently unnamed, stands behind you, sniper rifle in hand and leveled at the doorway.

"This one remains awaiting orders, sir." It informs you. It sounds strangely like an ancient Earth actor, someone by the name of Christopher Lee. It must have picked the voice software up from the extranet somewhere.

You look over your armaments and your situation: You've got a half-dozen thermal clips for the Avenger, giving you about two hundred and forty shots total with what's a rather average-strength gun. Your Eviscerator has three clips left, the high-strength weapon having three shots to a clip. Not much, but it tore those Marauders to unshielded shreds. You also have three doses of medi-gel on you, and a quartet of fragmentation grenades.

You're currently halfway through the headquarter's remains: Your target is the central VI core housed in the basement of the building. The only way down there is the elevator down the hall and in the main foyer.

Right past a nice, big contingent of Reaper remnant forces, or so you think. At least they aren't trying to attack you.
>>
>>22181609
I vote we name the Geth Michael.
>>
However, maybe you don't need to fight your way through? There's a console in the corner of the room, a civilian terminal that seemingly has connectivity. There's also what looks like a communication platform built into the middle of the desk, but it looks like the internal power source died out a while back. Still intact, though.

Peering out the window in the corner of the room, amidst the distant flames, you see what looks like the remnants of an old shuttle craft about a half-kilometer out.

It seems to have crashed and skidded across the ground, several soldiers dead around it. Might make a good looting opportunity, especially if the shuttle still works.

Actually, EDI named Legion, due to their being 1,183 distinct programs within him, she figured the reference to the horde of demons which referred to themselves as "Legion" (for we are many) which Jesus drove out of a dude and into a group of pigs was appropriate. Legion agreed.

"Michael. I am calling you Michael."

"This unit understands."

>>22181639
>>22181653
You thump over to the terminal, your omni-tool coming to life as you check the console. You don't exactly have bleeding-edge technology, but the console gives a quiet whirr as you prompt it to life. To say that the extranet is a mess right now is an understatement. The Reapers didn't just go after the colonies, but the comm buoys, communication lines, and everything in-between.

After getting greeted with a bunch of gibberish on the extranet connection (the Reaper's passage likely decimated whatever connections this place had to the remnants of the planetary 'net), your omni-tool trawls its way through the local network.
>>
>>22181737
Seems the terminal was some ambassador's personal computer. Most of it is pass-locked, but you find two things stored on it:
1) The 'Floor Map' intended for alien guests to the building. An outline of all the floors, with a big red gash put in the middle by the building VI to indicate "Hazardous Area - Maintenance Required". There seems to be at least two hallways leading from this one that bring you to the second floor of the lobby. One of those two swings you by the security checkpoint on the second floor, while the other brings you by the infirmary.
2) A series of deleted emails detailing a new primary elevator security code. A code you quickly store in your omni-tool.
3) Aaaand a bunch of pictures from another ambassador. Nude pictures. "How do you like THIS AmbASSador U., Kelly???"

You decide to just delete those permanently instead of giving yourself an Eviscerator sandwich.

>>22181681
>>22181676
>>22181653
You decide to step back and let Michael take a crack at it. Especially after those awful, awful images seared into your mind.

The Geth steps forward, its lone eye dilating as it focused on the console. "As you wish. This unit will attempt to mine the local area network. Do you have a preference in attempted data retrieval?"
>>

While the Reapers above are likely all dead and gone, you have no doubt that the remnants of their efforts in space still exist, though in dwindling numbers. Even now, you can hear the distant rattle of gunfire picking up, as well as the occasional thud of orbit-to-ground weaponry.

"Understood. Searching for: Security footage. Reaper militants. Weaponry. Information tangential to facility VI. Searching. Searching."

A dozen holographic screens open and close each second, and you're assaulted by a dazzling array of colors as the Geth does what it does best. You see a few screens pop up prompting passwords.

... That promptly vanish in flashes of red. Seems your compatriot has some secret abilities with computers

A screen opens revealing three screens. One is of the main lobby: A dozen husks, their blue frames glowing with the cybernetics implanted in their former human hosts, were crawling across the ground floor. There was a bridge spanning the length of the lobby from the second floor, upon which a lone Banshee was roaming, its nude form wreathed in biotic energy and seeming to shift in and out of reality.

It was a strange thing, and made your more pleasant, tender memories of Asari women much less so.
>>
>>22181866
The other two screens were straightforward. One showed the security room, in which a pair of Husks and a lone Marauder were currently milling about, pawing over the locked door to the armory. The husks seemed to be banging against the door to little effect.

"Atmospheric sensors indicate oxygen-breathing lifeform present in armory. Armory door has had bolts manually engaged."

The third was a display on the VI itself: "VI core is extremely basic. VI appears to be military-grade intelligence, designed for cyberwarfare and managing on-site functionality. This unit has determined that the VI is still in control of minor functionality, including basement-level security systems. Systems unknown, but have a high probability of including drones. VI core itself is easily extracted once reached. Central data storage is designed to be modular
>>
>>22181872
Any route to the armory without going through the lobby? Trying to stock up on firepower should probably take priority.
>>
>>22181906
This is a great plan, which I am excited to be a part of.
>>
>>22181872
Let's do this, we know there's someone down there and they've got some Reapers knocking at their door. So let's look for a route there. I don't mind going past the husks or Banshee, the Husks we know they're there so we can breach it, throw grenades and Biotic and shoot the rest. And we can probably take the Banshee in a Biotic duel, we're a Biotic God for a reason.
>>
>>22181921
>we're a Biotic God for a reason
Oh yes we are. Michael is not, unfortunately, so keeping up with high explosives is not a bad idea, as I already suggested.
>>
>>22181906
The main hallway that the conference room attaches to leads off in three directions: Left, right, and dead ahead. The hallway to the right goes to the infirmary, which ends shortly after that room by a section of collapsed ceiling (which, with your enhanced biotic powers, you could probably just power through).

The hallway going left leads to the armory and, in turn, the second floor (which leads you to what you can only think of as "Banshee Bridge").
>>
>>22181952
Let's head to the armory then. See if we can't get some extra tools to help with the smashing.

You grab your weapons as you look to Michael, who seems to be studying the security feeds with interest.

Popping in a fresh thermal clip into your Eviscerator, you speak up,

"Michael-- plug out. We're going to the armory, see what tools we can pick up along the way."
"Understood. Shall we endeavor to rescue the person within the armory?"
"Maybe. Not sure-- now cover me."

The Geth would simply raise its sniper rifle, tactical cloak activating as it silently ghosted behind you, covering your flank as you advance towards the armory.

The whole building has been shot to hell. There's no dead bodies laying around, but you know there don't have to be. The Reapers converted them into the husks you'll soon be facing. Fucked-up thought, really.

But you're a Krogan Battlemaster, and fear is just a weapon. One you're familiar with utilizing. Biotic energy builds around you as you turn left at the intersection, climbing the ramping stairway upwards at a good pace.

As you follow the signs leading to the shot-out remnants of the armory, you see several dead husks piled up at your end of the hallway. Seems the humans put up a strong fight here, for nothing.

You stop short of the security checkpoint itself. Seems like there's a disabled kinetic barrier emitter in this hallway, connected to the security station. You or Michael could probably reactivate it once you've secured the room.

Which reminds you: Peering around the corner, hugging against the wall, you see inside the room. There's two Husks, their bodies charged with shields, and a lone fully-powered Marauder with an Avenger assault rifle in its cyborg hands. Ugly things, all of them, that need to die. The bulkhead to the armory is sealed shut, but that doesn't deter the Husks, which continue to pound against it. There's already a couple gouges in the metal.

How do you approach the situation?
>Biotic charge the Marauder

Biotic energy boils inside of you. Even the last 48 hours, fighting for survival, is nothing compared to your seemingly endless reserves of strength. Your biotic amps burn hot inside of your body as you grab a grenade, roughly priming it before flinging it inside with all your might. Your throw is so powerful that it actually causes the grenade to skip off the floor before detonating. Fragments scythe in all directions as you hear the familiar sound of shields dropping and the screeching of the Reaper footsoldiers.

The Marauder is quickest to recover, the two Husks having been flung off their feet and pressed against the wall. Though all of them were fairly unharmed, they were unshielded.

Which meant that they were dead, as far as you were concerned. Shrouding yourself in biotic energy, you charge forward, a full ton of metal and rage crashing into the Marauder as it tries to whip its assault rifle around. The gun snaps under the force of your impact, the monster sailing into the right-hand wall.
>>
>>22182205
Which is followed by your Eviscerator roaring once, its head imploding in on itself as the barrel glows red hot. The blood-stained wall is joined by a low growl, the Husks scrabbling at you across the floor.

Your biotic whip, wielded in your glowing lefth and, catches them both in the torso, the raw kinetic energy shattering both their spines. The return stroke severs them clean in two, oil and other fluids leaking out as they lay slain.

Your biotic energy cools down as you hear someone yell from the other side.

"Hello? Is somebody out there?" A woman's voice calls.

Michael speaks up, "The grenade has likely alerted the enemy further down. This unit shall cover the hallway, unless it is required in other tasks." It speaks, its tactical cloak dropping for a few moments.

There's a console inside of the room, its projector slightly cracked from the grenade. It looks like the checkpoint's console, the same one that controls the hallway's kinetic barrier projectors.

There's also a broken gun rack with a pair of spare thermal clips for your shotgun.
>>
>>22182217
Look into the source of the voice.
>>
>>22182217
Try to get the door down and find out who is over there.
>>
>>22182217
Say back to her

"Yes, I'm a Krogan, I need access to the armory", tap on the terminal and use it.

The Elevator code we found earlier won't work here will it?
>>
>>22182217
Yeah, open the door we're leaving.
>>
>>22182217
"Understood, alert me if you see anything.

Yes, I'm friendly, I'm clearing this place and retrieving something. I won't hurt you, could you open the door so I can access the munitions?"
>>
>>22182238
>>22182240
It seems that the voice is coming from behind the sealed doorway leading to the armory itself.

"Yes. I'm a Krogan, and I need access to the armory." You call back, activating the terminal. You decide to mess around a bit-- there's the kinetic barrier projectors, which you can easily activate on a whim, but you explore a bit. You also uncover that you can remotely unlock the primary elevator from here.

Doing so might alert the Reaper forces of a potential avenue to the V.I. On the other hand, it'd save you the effort once you're actually at the console.

"A-- A Krogan?! What happened to Huntress Iliara?"

Well, judging by the Banshee guarding the bridge, you can probably guess.

"I need access into the armory-- I'm getting out of here." You tell her.

"I-- Just a second. I have the door bolted from the inside."

There's a loud click, followed by the hiss of hydraulics as the door is forced open horizontally. The two halves of the door swing into their recessed awnings as a lone Asari woman stands before you. Carrying an M-6 Carnifex, the heavy pistol is in her hands.

Right from the get-go, the blue-skinned woman is clearly young and inexperienced. A rookie by any other name would be just as incompetent. She's alone in the armory, her right arm coated in medi-gel that has yet to settle.
>>
>>22182422
Her body armor seems standard for Asari warriors, but she hardly looks like a commando. Her eyes look to yours, "I-- I take it you've not seen Huntress Iliara, then?" She asks, looking a bit despondent.

The armory behind her looks extremely well-stocked, or at least, it had been. Most of the rifle racks are empty, though you find there's an unopened med kit with a full three doses of medi-gel inside. There's also a box of about six fragmentation grenades, and... Huh! There are some guns for you to use.

In terms of heavy weaponry, there's an M-96 Revenant machine gun. An ammo hog, certainly, but it's big and it can kill a lot of stuff quickly. There's also an M-560 missile launcher. No reloads for it, but at least you have something a bit stronger than guns and biotics. There's also a couple left over Carnifex pistols in storage mode on the gun rack. Not too bad for a regular armory.
>>
>>22182429
We should tell her we saw a Banshee, that it might be the Huntress.

Take the Revenant and ask Michael the Geth if he could perhaps carry the M-560 without losing capability.

Well, all Asari kids are Asari, none of the Asari are charming creatures, and I generally dislike the Asari. Three pretty heavy strikes against them.

>>
>>22182563
Plus if memory serves their kids are usually INSANELY powerful Biotics even by Asari standards.

"Trigger discipline." You mention to her, frowning abruptly. She looks down at her heavy pistol before adjusting her grip.

You decide to tell her a half-truth, "I haven't seen her yet, but there's a Banshee up ahead we need to take care of. I'm here for the VI core, and was looking for stuff to use."

You call out to Michael as you eyeball the inventory, passing by her as she attempts to contemplate the situation. You've filled your medi-gel container to the brim with five doses. Anything more than that you'll have to carry outside of your armor.

You also reload your grenades, taking three of them, filling up to six total. You also grab a pair of Carnifexes for yourself and the Revenant. You're as loaded as you can get without inhibiting your movement.

"If you want to live, come with me." You tell her.

"I-- I'm injured." She states, looking at her arm, "One of the Marauders managed to chew through my kinetic barriers."

You see that the medi-gel is holding, and will likely manage to ensure a full recovery after this.

"You'll be fine. Now, can you fight?"
"I-- I was training to become a Huntress like Illiara. With Thessia gone, it was the only option. My biotic abilities are okay-- I can project barriers fairly well. I haven't trained much with guns, however."

You look to Michael as well, "Can you use the missile launcher?" You ask, knowing the Geth's general direction. He was unmovable when on sentry duty.

"Affirmative. This unit can utilize a wide range of weaponry to an excellent degree of accuracy. This unit would recommend haste: Motion sensors indicate a number of contacts approaching from down the hallway. The Reaper forces appear to be massing before they attack our position."

There's going to be a Banshee on the bridge, when we get there you and Micheal can just hang back and make sure nothing comes from behind, I'll deal with the Biotic, I've been itching for a good fight."
>>
>>22182642
This.
>>
>>22182618
Well, generally speaking, Carnifexes are guns that deal out a good amount of damage in a single shot. Considering that you've got a Banshee up ahead, it's a fair thought that you could use all the firepower you can get.

The Asari stares at you as you explain your plan, before slowly nodding.

"Y-- Yes. Yes, sir." She states, before looking temporarily surprised at her deference to you. Which is a natural thing, as a Biotic God of a Battlemaster. You feel your kinetic barriers strengthen as she projects a barrier over you, doubling down your defenses.

Which is good, because you're staring at an outright clusterfuck ahead.

The dozen husks you saw earlier through the camera were now rounding around the corner, pouring in like some sort of cyborg flashmob of horror. The Banshee is nowhere in sight, but then again, the husks are a solid wave of cyborg flesh as it is.

Laugh, "TODAY IS A GOOD DAY"

Rookie can take the shots she can with her pistol.

Micheal should throw a grenade in if he has one on him, we'll open fire with the Revenant.

Make sure the Asari is either behind solid cover, or us, which amount to pretty much the same thing. If the enemies get too close charge them and knock them the fuck back, they aren't getting close to our squishies.
>>
Okay, I gotta go to sleep. But I have one last thing I have to say. Remember the number one rule of fighting Banshees: Do not get within arms length of the Banshee for more than a second at a time. Preferably not ever.

>>22182744
Uuuuh.

I propose:
>Fling grenades in the middle of the group
>Boiling revenant time
>Biotic charge right in the middle of the enemy formation while the asari and Michael snipe them.

In this order.
The grenades and the revenant should weak their shields enough for our charge to be completely devastating.
>>

"TODAY IS A GOOD DAY!" You roar, your voice managing the impressive feat of being heard over the thunder of the Revenant. The gun bucks and kicks in your hand as you advance, sending a constant stream of supersonic grains at the oncoming horde of husks. Scything back and forth, you watch with no small amount of glee as the leading three go down instantly, bodies pinwheeling in the air as your allies open up.

Michael's tactical cloak flickers out as his sniper rifle fires, felling a fourth husk behind the first three, its head having a neat hole drilled into it. Your new, nameless Asari companion screams in terror as she fires the Carnifex wildly. Thankfully she's not right behind you, because her aim is absolute shit, carving gouges into the ceiling and floor before blowing off the arm of one of the husks. Which continues on anyways because, well, fuck you, that's why.

After scything down the One-Armed Monster, your Revenant gives a distinct click as it goes try, and you automatically eject the white-hot thermal clip. You have about sixty feet of clearance, with seven husks sprinting at you. In less than ten seconds they'll be on top of you.

>>
>>22182849
DOUBLE CARNIFEX, GO!
Also, to the Asari. "For the love of whatever god you worship, Blueberry, aim!"
>>
>>22182862
It'll take about two seconds-- one to grab the clip, the other to slot it home. Thankfully, as a Battlemaster, you have a lot of experience using heavy weapons in chaotic environments.
>>
>>22182849
Biotics, but not a charge. Can't we just force push them away?
>>
>>22182862

You slot home a second thermal clip, the husks charging on fearlessly.

"For the love of whatever god you worship, Blueberry, aim!" You shout, opening fire again. The husks are forty feet away now, and you end up somewhat impressed. Even with Michael's mechanical slaughter of the Reaper forces, and Blueberry's (You decide this is a good name for the skittish rookie) lackluster suppressing fire with the heavy pistol, they don't seem deterred in the slightest.

No wonder these things gave the Turians such a hard time. Still, you fire all the way until the second clip runs out, repeating your ejection motion as the two clips sizzle together on the floor. Three more husks are felled by your hand, and to some mild surprise, Blueberry manages to actually kill one on her own. Its entire chest explodes out of its spine from a direct hit, the creature bouncing one of its compatriots straight back as Michael picks off one more with a headshot.

Unfortunately, not all good things last. Two husks remain at the end of your onslaught. Not a huge threat by any means, but they're only ten feet away from you. You could try to reload, but they'll smash right into you. Granted, with your double biotic shielding and kinetic barrier, that'd probably be like trying to bodyslam a warship. That's why they're not charging at you: One is going for each Michael and Blueberry, attempting to sprint right past you.

Oh hell no, they aren't going to get close to our Blueberry or Michael.

Biotic time, lash one into the other than charge them and grind them into dust.
>>
>>22182933
You could do just that. You could easily create a static biotic barrier and shove it at them. You could also create another biotic whip and lash them away with sheer force of will. You could also forge a singularity effect, but that'd be a bit mentally intensive even for your considerable biotic prowess.

You let out a roar as the husks attempt to go for your allies. Dropping the Revenant with a clatter of steel on steel, your hands dart to your hip, drawing up your Eviscerator. The shotgun unfolds in your right hand as your left brims with biotic energy. Swinging your left fist in a wide hook through empty air, the biotic lash that forms crashes into the husk, sending it sailing from mid-leap at Blueberry into the one approaching Michael. The two cyborgs collide with an unholy screech, cracking into the wall in a bone-shattering impact.

You round your Eviscerator, ready to fire, when there's a single gunshot. Both husks shudder and go still as the high-velocity round causes their torsos to erupt in ichor, leaving a long trail of gore as they sink to the floor. Michael, his rifle's barrel still glowing red, simply ejects the thermal clip. The Asari woman is shaking in place, clutching the gun in both hands and still pointing it straight down the hallway.

Damn. You really killed a lot of them. Still, the distant shrieking of the Banshee indicates that more fighting is ahead. The screeches joining indicate that she's going to be getting reinforcements soon, too. You've used a decent amount of biotic power so far, but you're not a biotic god for nothing. You can keep trooping on, even keeping fatigue in mind.

What now? Do you sally forth to try and charge the Banshee, reach the elevator, and break through? Or do you attempt to hold your ground, clearing out the final wave of husks and their banshee leader?
>>

does our badass krogan have a name yet? if not it should totally be Viktor Resnov, and every charge (biotic or not) should be heralded by the cry of URAAAAAAAAAAA (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0rneH6UUVY around 7 secs in )

Combined warp and overload on the Banshee's barriers from your guys, then shoot her with the missile launcher when she's down to her armor.

First things first, we need to get Blueberry to stop being useless.

Put our, comparatively massive, hand on her shoulder. "Blueberry, kiddo, calm down. I've been fighting for longer than you've been alive, you're with me so you'll be just fine. It's okay to be scared, you just have to use the fear for something productive, like killing all of those Husk fuckers, let the fear make you sharp, not shaky.

Now you stick with Micheal and watch my back, remember to breath in, aim, and gently squeeze the trigger. I'm going to go kill that Banshee, be back in a bit."

Then it's time to charge that Banshee and fuck it up.
>>
>>22183230
I think we were from Clan Urdnot, so our name could be Urdnot Resnov. Or, you know, something Krogan instead of human, since we likely are alive since before the human race even made contact with the turians.

"Blueberry, kiddo, calm down. I've been fighting for longer than you've been alive. You're with me, so you'll be just fine." You comfort her, resting a massive hand on her shoulder, your Krogan genes making you look like a veritable tank in comparison to her.

"L-L-Liselle." She says to you, "M-m-my name is Liselle." She tells you, gently lowering her weapon. She's mindful of the trigger discipline this time, though. She's shaking, but you suspect this was her first real firefight. Also, a Krogan is being nice to her, so odds are that's cause enough for alarm.

"Being scared is natural. You have to use that fear-- wield it. Use it to kill all these husk fuckers, make 'em scared. Let the fear make you sharp, not shaky." You mention, "Now, stick with Michael," You jerk a thumb to the Geth, "and watch my back. I'm going to go kill that Banshee, and remember to breathe in, aim, and gently squeeze the trigger." You tell Liselle.

Michael simply looks between Liselle and you, "This unit shall protect the Asari named Liselle. This unit shall also protect you as you kill the Reaper biotic. Shall this unit engage in stealth warfare, or engage in active combat exercises?" It asks. Seems it was your call as to whether Michael goes loud or tries to stay stealthy.

Don't we have a rocket launcher?

Use that on the Banshee
>>
>>22183359
"Stealth warfare. I can take the hits better than the rest of you, I don't want her focusing on you two.

I'll get her attention and beat her around, if you see an opportunity to blow her head off, take it. But mainly watch my back and make sure I don't get swarmed. I might end up using the rocket launcher on her.

Same goes for you Blueberry. stay quiet, stay behind cover, take careful shots. First fight and you get to see a Krogan Battle Master in action, lucky girl."

Crack our neck and charge towards the Banshee, take down her shield by bashing her into whatever surface is available with Lash and hitting her with warp. Once the shield is down we can shotgun or rocket her.

You reload the Revenant, clutching it in your hands as Michael readies the Hydra rocket launcher. The Geth Infiltrator looks to you for instructions.

"I want you to go stealthy. Get a good position on the second floor and give precision fire. Make sure none of those husks can get too close to Blueberry or myself." You rumble, "I can take a beating. You two, not so much. If you can get a good shot in on the Banshee, do so, but otherwise watch my back and make sure I don't get swarmed. If you get the chance? Use the rocket launcher on the Banshee. Blow her to shreds."

You turn to Blueberry (Liselle). "You take cover, stay quiet, and take careful shots." You grin, "First real fight and you get to see a Krogan Battlemaster in action. Lucky you." you mention with a chuckle, before cracking your neck.

"Now then..." You begin, biotic energy flowing through you. You charge down the hallway in a blur, your steps propelled by the element zero flowing in and around you. Clutching the Revenant, you burst out the hallway, into the lobby.

It's a massive area, and, thankfully, you're on the second floor. Several decimated shops are present on the ground floor below, and holy shit, there's quite a number of husks present. You'd estimate at least twenty, maybe twenty five. They're crawling out of the decimated store fronts and over the benches, aiming to try and scale up the walls.

On the bridge itself, situated directly between you and the steel reinforced doors to the elevator, is the Banshee. She does not look happy at all.

In fact, she looks rather murderous, her wailing ceasing as you emerge from the hallway and into the lobby.

You charge forward, channeling the hatred and fire in your belly into your left hand, Revenant clutched in your right. You fling the concentrated sphere of biotic energy like a grenade, watching it sail forward as the Banshee fires back. Her own shot is barely a hit, your charging form proving more difficult than entirely feasible to properly aim at.

The fact that you're safe and secure behind two walls of biotic barriers, plus kinetic shielding, entirely neutralizes her hopes of staggering you. Instead, the blue glow engulfing your body seems to absorb her bolt, as your own bolt smashes against her barrier. It flashes bright red before cooling off, the former Asari shrieking.

Which is right about when you hear Michael's rifle come to life, followed by surprisingly measured Carnifex shots from Blueberry.

You're about sixty feet away from one another now, and she's screaming her head off, teleporting closer and closer to you in little hops. Freaky stuff, but you know you can take her.

The Banshee wails once more, her voice offending your ears as you draw your hands together, quickly flinging the Revenant to lock against your back.

Biotic power flows into your hands as you shout your warcry, slamming your hands together at the teleporting she-demon.

"HURAAAAA!"

The world goes red as you channel your fury into the gravitational field you produce, warping it around the Banshee, which shrieks in return. You can feel it attempting to garner biotic energy around itself even as the singularity rips its own barriers to shreds, your attack of such potency that a trio of husks below are lifted off their feet.

Singularity still active, you can feel that a decent amount of your biotic energy has been expended. You're not out of the fight by a long shot, but you won't be able to keep flinging powers around like this forever, Biotic God or not.

As it is, though, you get no small satisfaction at watching the Banshee writhing and shifting in place, her incessant cries distorted by your powers.

Four husks, seemingly intent on climbing up one of the bridge's supports in order to ambush you, abruptly go sailing into the air, drifting about one another as you radio Michael.

The Geth Infiltrator doesn't respond immediately, your blood rage briefly abating at you glance in his direction, machine gun still spraying shots at the Banshee's form.

Liselle and Michael are currently atop a steel balcony hugging the left corner of the lobby. Michael's tactical cloak occasionally dropping as the Geth repositioned himself, but it seemed like Liselle was in a somewhat difficult place. She was not only maintaining your biotic barrier, but also picking off husks as they attempted to climb the walls of the first floor.

Of the twenty-odd that had swarmed out, perhaps ten were now dead by their hand. That still left about ten more currently clawing up the walls in their corner.
>>
MIchael fires his sniper rifle once more before flinging a proximity mine at one of the walls being scaled. The ensuing explosion slays another husk, but Liselle lets out a shriek as one of the husks successfully scales the wall, clawing at her kinetic barriers.

Unfortunately, you don't get much of a chance to respond, because the Banshee shrieks at this point. Bleeding from all over her torso, the wailing cry, charged with biotic energy, blasts you full-power. You feel yourself take a staggering hit, your entire body being thrown back five feet before landing back on your feet.

You also notice most of your biotic barrier is gone, though the Banshee is much worse off. Michael is currently working to grab the rocket launcher, but this still leaves you with one more move.

"Blueberry, focus on your own barrier, I got this under control."

Micheal is about to get the rocket launcher out so let's buy him some breathing room and blow some of the climbing Husks off the wall and let him blow her up.

You grab one of your grenades, Revenant empty, before charging the Banshee. Michael, rocket launcher in hand, prepares to fire as Liselle removes her biotic barrier from you, instead focusing on herself.

She actually makes you a bit proud as she jams her Carnifex into the husk's mouth, blowing its cranium wide open. She reloads after the shot, drawing back as Michael lines up his own. Unfortunately, the Banshee seems to be aware of your plan, her shriek cut short as you charge forward. Grabbing the former Asari by the throat, you slam your fragmentation grenade home as she opens her mouth to wail once more, plugging it and slightly dislocating her jaw.

Unfortunately, that does little to stop the hand abruptly obscuring your vision. The grenade's flickering red light indicates its primed as the Banshee grabs onto your forehead plate, her fingers splayed as she attempts to get a good hold of you, her cybernetic fingers partially blocking your vision as you're forced to look at some of the grossest, saggiest Asari tits to ever disgrace the universe.

The fact that she's winding her other hand back to skewer you doesn't improve your disposition any.

The grenade is in, all we have to do is not get skewered. So break the arm grabbing onto us and Lash her skyward.

I think our rolls are good enought to rip and tear some Banshee arms.

You're not sure quite what triggered it, but some latent part of you kicks in. A survival instinct that has existed from since the times of Krogans being prey. As the Banshee begins to slowly lift you into the air, hovering but an inch off the ground, your world seems to tint blacker and blacker. Not by virtue of the monster lifting you by your armored head, but instead by the boiling supernova of anger building within you.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" You roar, tossing the Revenant behind you as your hands remove themselves from her throat and mouth. The grenade flashes warningly as your left hand punches upward into her arm, cybernetics proving lackluster in the face of Krogan fury. Metal snaps as her arm is abruptly broken, the grip on your forehead severed abruptly. Your right hand clenches into a familiar fist, the power of a biotic lash coalescing therein. Your armored forehead slams forward as you take a step closer to her, her entire head jerking back as you headbutt her.

"I AM URDNOT URAH! I! AM! -KROGAN-!" You announce to the galaxy, so that it might know just what sphere of hatred and fury now warmed it.

The biotic lash whips upwards as you catch the Banshee in the groin, slowly severing her lower torso as she's flung upwards, only to be caught by the gravity well of the singularity. The resulting effect, when combined with the fragmentation grenade, is truly spectacular. Her entire torso seems to be ripped in twain, then quartered, before at last being vaporized by a mixture of a biotic explosion, the singularity ending, and your own fragmentation grenade.

Fuck overkill. She deserved it. Your shields take a nasty hit, however, from the close proximity of all of those. They still hold, but the same can't be said of the five husks embroiled (formerly) in the now-finished singularity.

Your blood rage seems to be slowing down as you turn your sights upon Liselle and Michael, the Asari rookie and Geth Infiltrator fighting hard in their corner. Only four husks now remained, but the duo had gone back-to-back at this point, Michael and Liselle blasting away with their sidearms, Liselle apparently projecting a small dome of biotic protection around the two of them that the husks are attempting to bodyslam. Girl has talent, you have to give her that.
You could assist them in finishing off, or you could let them handle their own firefight at this point, considering they seem to have it well in hand. Or, at least, Michael does, the Geth Infiltrator surprisingly adept at even close quarters combat. Probably something to do with his programming.

There's also the matter of the shops downstairs in the lobby, as well as the elevator leading down to the VI core. You could do pretty much whatever you please at this point, really.

>No more rolls needed. For reference, shields at currently at 60%.
>Well done, /tg/.
>Opinions so far?

I'm enjoying this, this is why people should be very afraid of a Krogan Battle Master. Everyone should be afraid of an angry Krogan Battle Master.

Let's help them out, we'll want them with us for the rest of this anyway. Pull out the Avenger and start drilling bursts into the remaining husks.

Once everything is taken care of we can brofist Micheal and then tell Liselle that she did a damn good job and we think she has potential and then gently clap her on the shoulder in a reassuring gesture and ask if she enjoyed the show we put on.

And I have to get some sleep, I look forward to more of this.

Glad you're enjoying-- I'm considering making a new thread due to autosage. Rest well! I'll see if I can get a post or two more before opening a new thread with my reply.

Draw double Carnifex and shoot down a couple of husks. After Michael and Blueberry are (relatively) safe, go see what we can salvage from the stores.
Might be something handy in them.

I like this thread a lot.
