The president and Nixon both sit down in the green room, along with yourself and Ice.

The president opens the conversation. “Dick here tells me you're making quite a name for yourselves up there in Alaska. I'm not ashamed to admit I haven't flown since the war. Georgette nods to the president. “I just came to fetch Commander Bishop. Can you part with him for a second?”

The president looks at you. “I think so.” He says. “Thank you, commander Bishop.”

“Yes sir.” You respond, as Georgette leads you out into the hallway- not the east room.

“Commander, there's a problem I'd like to discuss with you.” She says, as you walk back towards the ball.

“What kind of problem?” You ask.

“It's about your Samantha.” She says.

“What... what about Merlin” You ask, your heart sinking into your gut.

As she leads you back into the east room, you can see Merlin, sitting at the table with your parents, frantically looking around- looking for you, you realize. When she spots you, she runs over and latches onto you with a surprisingly powerful hug- earning a few looks from the dignitaries in the room. Admiral mackintosh walks over, calmly, to join you, and helps you and Georgette escort Merlin out before she starts crying.

Georgette doesn't really have to say anything, at that point.
