Kharn returns smoothly, although even you could see that she's pointedly trying not to look at Malal. It's then that the Betrayer looks at you with something approaching condescension and disgust. "Now, Midori, please step away. Give the Warmasters a proper space to fight in."

We are in a very bad situation. While our attempt to calm down IBRS Homura is successful, all our fighters except for her have been incapacitated. While IBRS Homura can take on Kharn, she will be afraid to use her full strength because she could go FOFA again.

First thing we should summon tiny pete. However on a one on one I’m guessing that Kharn can run circles around him and hack him apart. So we need to IBRS Homura to fight in a support position.
Second we will have to deal a lot of damage to Kharn. She is not going to listen to anyone screaming at her to stop, not us, not Malal, not even Souji. The point is that we shouldn’t be afraid of smacking Kharn around, she can just take all we can dish out anyway.
Third, the question on subduing Kharn, this is going to be the big problem and something we will need to but thought into. I am not sure the Hypogun is going to work, Kharn might just go “NO! I WILL NOT FALL ASLEEP” and power up, which will nullify the sedatives… somehow. Or pinky just granted her unusual biology. There is one guaranteed way we can incapacitate Kharn bloodlessly, and that is taking her Soul Gem over 100 m away from her. But then again, that asks the question of where is her Soul Gem? How can we take off her Soul Gem without being bisected or decapitated for our effort? How can we cover the 100 m distance before being hunted down and carved up?

To be honest think that Kharn is too far gone, she is determined to die a traitor’s death. We might have to kill her

"That's...that's good, then. Great." A moment's hesitation. "Did...did Kharn...? Is she--"

No, you cut him off. You tell him that his girlfriend's still alive, too, and in considerably better shape than your little party. Well, you slapped her around for a bit and called her names, but she's still intact. He should try and track her again, if that's possible. And you'll need the location of the last fragment, too, if that's not too much.

"No. No, it isn't." A sigh of relief. "...Thanks, Midori. I owe you."

You shake your head, and tell him that no one's keeping score. You also remind him to call you as soon as he got the coordinates.

"Alright--"

You kill the connection before sinking to the ground, your legs unable to hold you up any longer. Your costume flickering once, before completely erasing itself from existence, leaving you back in your drenched clothes.

The anger, the frustration, the sheer mad audacity that had made you physically assault one of the most feared Magical Girls in the world and scream verbal abuse in her face leaving cold, hollowed out.

You look up to see your best friend's face above you, a finger held to her lips. Beyond her is the familiar ceiling of your father's restaurant.

"Hush. You'll wake them up." Mirai whispers. "I know time is of the essence, but they need rest." She gestures to the side - and you see both Homura and Chiaki, curled up against each other, lying on a blanket spread on the floor. The tables and chairs seem to have been cleared away to make room. At the counter, Malal seems to be making repairs to her suit - as well as she could with what looks like tape and a soldering iron, anyway. Kyuubey is talking to her while she does so.

You make to ask why, but Mirai shushes you again. "You passed out after the confrontation with Kharn. Malal wanted us to press on, but Homura was too injured to continue. We've been healing enough, but you can't heal fatigue. So we've decided to stay in for now, at least until the rain subsides."

Well. Yes. Alright. That's...good to know that it wasn't just you, then.

Another idea.
Jyuubey can clean up soul gems, however it is found out later that he can only clean up the surfaces of the souls gems leaving the despair inside to build.

Perhaps here the saints found out, before they turned witch and linked their soul Gems to Jyuubey... somehow so he could clean the insides as well.

That could explain how he could take over them.

So is Kazumi Magicka worth reading? I keep seeing spoilers here, and thinking I should read it just to get it over with and know it, but damned if everything I hear about it sounds like it's going to be depressing in ways Madoka didn't even go so far in, in addition to not even being a good story.
