Make her a little bit more open/comfortable with dealing with others, and integrate her into the social scene at school. She can be our ear to the mundane social scene, and might even be able to instigate some events to work in our favor. (She suggests "The docks are a real happening place for illicit parties!" to folks enough, it becomes THAT much harder for secretive wizards to do evil shit when a bunch of people are dicking around on the docks."

The docks idea is a shitty example, but having a power-behind-the-throne sort manipulating the muggle social scene can be pretty powerful.
