You look at the fight- such as it is- rolling around on the ground. Rand's trained in MCMAP, but it really doesn't look like it's doing her a whole hell of a lot of good against the slightly bigger Alyssa. At least, not in the ground fight they've gotten into, you'd put even odds on a striking match though.

Still, this is mostly not your problem. The twins should probably learn to not do that around new people- you figured they'd know that already by now- and no small part of you wants them to suffer just a little for looking at your little sister like that.

“Yeah, sure. See if they want to come along, Jess.” You say, turning to wait. Your sister runs over, and before you know it, the three witches- plus Rudel, who no one seems to object to, are walking through the snow.

The base is mostly blacked out- while that doesn't really do anything in this day and age, it helps people feel better, you guess, though you can't see how. A few lights peek around blackout curtains, and the runway lights are still on, even now, with the base acting as an emergency field for transports that can't make their destination. So far, nothing has landed here, but still. You really don't envy the uhaul pilots as another gust of wind staggers you.

Inside the house, the TV is on, and it sounds like Katsumi is explaining what's going on to the rest of the girls- none of whom speak Japanese. It's a minor annoyance, but so far it hasn't really impacted you too badly.

You remove your boots and take off your coat before heading into the kitchen, noting that there's still plenty of food- potatoes go a long way, even with a bunch of females with hyperactive metabolisms.

You pile a few plates high and grab some forks, handing them out as witches head into the kitchen themselves, saving the last plate for yourself.

There's some room on the couch, a spot on the floor, or you could sit at the table like a civilized human being. Or you could fuck off to your office, such as it is, and eat in there while trying to get some of your backlog knocked out.
