You are Lord William Bordain, Lord of Morderengrad and the Northern Valley, Sworn Lord to Jon Arryn, Hand of the King, and about as subtle as a nuclear bomb. Known throughout the Seven Kingdoms as the slayer of Rhaenys Targeryen during The Sack of King’s Landing, and seen as a dangerous sort because of it. For two years, you brooded in your Castle like Mum-Ra the Everliving, while your populace saw you as a usurper and criminal, and Hill Tribes ravaged your lands. Two and a half months ago, you stood, up, cracked your neck, picked up your Warpick, and started forging a fucking name for yourself.
In that time, you have revealed a plot to stir popular opinion against you, and nailed the spokesman’s tongue to your town inn’s wall. You met the Chief of the Hill Tribes in Single combat, and struck him low, then bargained with his warchiefs to make them your vassals, learning as you did that they too had been paid to harass you. You have taken your fractured populace, and made them into an orderly and disciplined people. In short, you laid down the fucking Law, and The Seven help those who stand in your way.
You have just retained the services of one Jonah Gunn, a traveling bar and mummer, to tell the tales of your most recent successes throughout the Seven Kingdoms. He has also revealed a potential culprit in the plot against you: House Belmore, your neighbors to the South, and apparently one-time owners of your lands.

CURRENT STATS:
DEFENSE: 8 (48)
INFLUENCE: 22
LANDS: 15 (A lot)
LAW: 11
POPULATION: 42
POWER: 26 (72)
WEALTH: 23

You may say “Page, those don’t look like the numbers we ended with.” And you’re right. These numbers represent the territory after a week of sorting out the acquisition of the Painted Dog Lands and their people. Law went down slightly because not all of the tribesman chose to follow their chiefs, and some smallfolk are raising a fuss about including “barbarians”. Everything else has gone up, though.
Also, your power’s in a weird state at the minute: Technically, you could choose to maintain the units of Painted Dog Soldiers as they are, or dissolve them into Defense, Law, or Population.
Currently, they number
1 Trained Archers (Murwin) (6)
1 Trained Guerillas (Luuk) (5)
1 Green Scouts (Vil-ak) (3)
2 green infantry (Gorda, Ut) (10)
1 Veteran Crusaders (Tor) (8)
1 Trained Crusaders (Rogar) (7)

NOTE: If you want, you can “dissolve” these units into a Banner house and an Elite Special for 29, leaving the two green infantry, or dissolving them into the other options.

Lands of the Hill tribes
UT: 2, 1 hill w river, 1 mountain
Rogar: 2, 1 hill, 1 plains with river
Murwin: 2 hills with river, woods
Tor: 1 mountain
Vil-ak: 2 mountains, 1 with woods
Gorda:2 mountain with streams

You've gone from controlling 2 square leagues of land to controlling 12. Good on you!

Alright, lets start off with a meeting of our inner council and Bloodsmiths.

I think the circled area would be a good place for a new holding, IF we build one.
>>

>new holding
You mean like a settlement, or a Banner House?

It would be nice to have a Banner House, imo.
>>
>>23708063
Although I guess a Banner House gets their own roll for lands, don't they? I think it's a 5d6, if I'm not mistaken.
>>
>>23708063
Preferably a banner house.

>>NOTE: If you want, you can “dissolve” these units into a Banner house and an Elite Special for 29, leaving the two green infantry, or dissolving them into the other options.

Banner house and Elite Special please.
>>
I agree with the general
>>
>>23708078

Yep, a banner lord, even if a shitty one such as this, would not be a bad thing to have. And truthfully, we could use the backup.

Also, with 12 leagues of control, I'm kind of tempted to try having those two green infantry turn into population in those areas as a way to set for possible expansion.

We're overpopulated as is, we need to convert some pop to something else.

Technically, do we know what a nuclear weapon is?
>>

Soilent Greens are an option, guys.
>>
>>23707839
Was Gunn ever able to identify that coin?
>>
>>23708188

Yep, and using that two population to go into the extra space we have, and build a settlement/village, which would turn into another holding for us gives us an opportunity to use some that population and expand all our holdings, while it also gives our "Bannerman" a seat of operations and tax base so that they won't be a constant drain on us.
>>
>>23707839
>>about as subtle as a nuclear bomb.

Glad you liked that line yesterday Page.
>>
I don't know, do the Painted Dogs have enough infrastructure for us to name them as a Banner House?
>>
Side note: I misread travel times, so it will not take you a month to get to the Eyrie, but rather 3-4 days. (thought it measured in days, not hours). So you have a whole month and a half to organize things before you go hang with the Tolletts, and then head to the Eyrie

>>23707957
Creating a Hamlet takes 10 lands. If you want to support a port there, you'll want to make it a small town, which takes 20. But at least building the town will be a good first step.

>>23707903
You summon your captains, and a few members of the Bloodsmiths.
They gather in the solar, and you all share a breakfast of smoked Kippers with toast and a lemon wedge, and toast with a poached egg, covered in a thick cheese sauce, called “Vale Rabbit”

"Gentlemen. I called you here to discuss my recent actions. I know it may have been surprising, having spent that time in seclusion, and suddenly leaping to action, and I want to see if I'm pissing anybody off."
The Men chuckle.
Korbis speaks first: "Will, the only thing I've got to say is welcome back, boy. You were a stubborn little shite the first day I met you, and I can't tell you how many days you were moping that I just wanted to smack some damn sense into ya. It's good to see you out there pissin' off everybody else!" A couple captains cheer the sentiment.
Egar speaks next: "Ride into as much danger as you please boy. It's my job to pull your ass out, and by the Seven, I'm not ready to retire yet!"
Merrick raises his hand, and interjects: "I will say, Lord Bordain, that I wish we were consulted on a few of the decisions. This choice of making vassals of the barbarians-"
Finn interrupts: "Far as I'm concerned, anyone north of Lannisport's a barbarian, at least Will made them heel!"
Merrick continues: "Nevertheless, He could have spoken to us about it. Maybe taken more than just the Bloodsmiths." He shrugs. "I may be being a little picky milord, after all, you've reduced my work load immensely with these new guards and magistrates."

>>
>>23708243
We don't have to turn them into the banner house. We could make a Knightly Banner House from our own court.
>>
>>23708256
Can we start with a Hamlet, and later upgrade it to a small town+port?
Because that sounds good for now.
>>
>>23708184
Consider it done.

>>23708213
He'd never seen its like.

>>23708256
He goes on. "I'm just not looking forward to getting evicted if you go and get yourself killed."

There's a few glares from the Bloodsmiths in the room.

Donnal Clalem interjects before anyone gets too irritated.
"My lord, sorrow is like a sickness. You can rest as long as you like, but sometimes it is best to get the blood running to drive it out. I am pleased at your return to the land of the living. Currently my only desire is, as mentioned, that we build a Sept in the town. The Seven have been kind, and we should honor them."

Finn shrugs: "I say we knight this Tor fella, give him the dosh to get the upper end of the valley sorted for you, and we get to building Ser Perfect here his church. If Tor cocks up the building process, you find someone smarter than him, and make them Lord."

Grell does not speak, but you watched who he nods with.

The general opinion is that your captains could barely be happier with recent events, and are behind you 100%

>>23708283
You can, yes.
>>
>>23708362
>but you watched who he nods with.

And who did he nod with?
>>
>>23708362

Gentlemen, there is one small issue that does have to be raised with you, and it is of no small importance. Given that I've been setting things to right, and that we have discovered the conspiracy against me, we need to discover and heir, or I need to name one of you as regent should something happen to me. Don't call me morbid or morose, but I want to know that you will all be taken care of if I slip and break my neck on the way to the privvy one night.

Also, I want to make certain that no matter what happens to me, that none of you will let whoever did me in earn a single nights peace from it.
>>
>>23708445
Eh, naming Korbis our heir until we actually have some children sounds good to me,
>>
>>23708362
So Murwin wants to be mayor of a town, and what was Gorda's territory has gold in them hills?
What does a gold mine cost again?
>>
>>23708445

I agree with both of these.

I'm glad I got here before it was over as well. Hey Bom get some sleep yet? Also Dagon good to see you.
>>
>>23708443
Egar, Merrick's point about the Hill Tribes, and Clamon's "land of the living" comment.

>>23708445
Korbis speaks, "Well, Will, unless you've been hiding serving girls under your bed when I came in, I suspect we aren't finding an heir any time soon." Egar and Finn laugh at that, Merrick rolls his eyes, and Clamon smiles.
"But rest assured my lord, if some other lord of the Vale offs you..." He did the math in his head.
"We're big enough that if we mobilized all the hill men, and snatched up some peasant levies, and tossed our surplus of weapons in their hands, we could bring trouble to the door of any lord short of Royce or Arryn."

>>23708492
Korbis goes a little pale at the suggestion. "Me, lord, but, I couldn't-"
"You could and you should" Finn interjects.
"I will say, of us all, you're the best option, For," Merrick concurs.
He looks at the other nodding heads.
"Well, if you're fool enough to follow me, I'm fool enough to lead."
There, settled.

>>23708528
A gold mine costs 10 wealth.
>>
>>23708492

I before doing that, I think asking each of the captains if they would follow Korbis, and asking Korbis if he would do this for us would be a wise idea. Kinda why I brought it up.

>>23708528
Murwin wants a town, Gorda has gold on his lands.

I say we build the village in or near Gorda's land, make Murwin mayor of the town, shift populace around, and make Tor their Knight. Give him some time and our help, and we may have that entire area turned into a peaceful prosperous village/town/mine.
>>
>>23708599
Is Gorda going to appreciate having someone else put in charge of his lands though?
>>
>>23708648

That's what swords are for.
>>
>>23708565
Yeah, thank god. I only worked 10 hours today, so I got about 3 hours before work, and 3 hours after. I'm good to go. Gotta get dinner in a few however.

>>23708598
Good Korbis, since you know how this shit works, get whatever we need paperwork wise drawn up for this. Send a Raven to someone or other who should know this. I'd suggest Lord Tywin at the very least.

10 wealth for a gold mine, leaves us 23.
What was it for a village, and then for a tower or small keep? Regardless, using a little of lands, a little power, some population, some law, more wealth, and possibly some defense should allow us to build that small village, and start getting that all consolidated into one location.

The big bonus is, it gives us an emergency fallback that people from outside our lands won't know about, and if done properly, will also be civilized, and will allow us to integrate our regular small folk with the hill tribes, which will possibly lower our law for a bit, but build up the morale, and eventually build both together stronger, and thereby make our law better. And that was a long run on sentence. My apologies.
>>
>>23708648
Speaking of lands, what's the deal with the tribe that the late Ut led?
Were we able to get most of our stuff back from them?
>>
>>23708712
Good question, what did happen to Ut's people after we smote his goddamn face off?
>>
>>23708648

Honestly? Gorda took the knee to us. If we explain that each of their lands will integrate together to form a stronger whole, and will bind our land together better. All Gorda wanted was food, a good house, nice furs, and no war as he is tired of it. Sounds to me that he may want to retire. Perhaps he would like to take the job as sherrif in the area, the one who is the most respected warrior would be a good one to keep the peace. And should mollify him if he can keep what he takes from law breakers.

Also, hell, give him a nice house in our town. That way we doubled what we promised him, and haven't dishonored him.
>>
>>23708694

>>23708712

>>
So would now be a good time to escort Rogar to the mines, so he can hear the Song of Iron?
Because unless we have something better to do, I'm kind of inclined to join him.
You know how some lords have falconry or hunting as a hobby?
I'm thinking blacksmithing could be ours, once things get stable.
Seems to suit the reputation we've made for ourselves.
>>
>>23708764
I actually really like this idea
>>
>>23708764

I vote for this idea.
>>
>>23708733
Yeah that works.
You have a point in that Gorda did seem like he wanted retirement in a culture that doesn't seem like it allows it.
>>
>>23708764
Hell yes, we must be the master of iron in all ways.
>>
Given the new size of our territory, should we maybe invest some in Defense?
Like I think we might do well to have at least one tower maybe?
>>
>>23708694

>Lord Tywin

I'm pretty sure we answer to Jon Arryn at this point.
>>
>>23708764
I like this idea. I like it a lot.
>>
>>23708712
Ut's second in command happened to be standing about 8 feet from Ut when you put your pick through him at 6 paces, so he has become very much a fan of peaceful integration.
You did get quite a few weapons back. you'll get a bonus on your next wealth roll.
Apparently Ut's tribe had been selling the other tribe your weapons after arming themselves.

>>23708694
Unfortunately, you have already taken a house action for this month.
Fortunately, making banner houses does not count as an action. And they follow their own patterns. So you name Tor Knight of the Norther Valley, and give him the land necessary to found a hamlet at the foot of the Great White Throne.
Next month, you can initiate the gold mine, and he could initiate that tower. So he'll be Knight, Murwin will be Mayor, and apparently Gorda wants to try his hand at magistrate.

>>23708764
>>23708781
>>23708791
That business aside, you find yourself unneeded for the next few weeks. You decide to see how Rogar's doing in the mines.

The way I see it, if the Starks can worship their creepy trees, these guys can pray however they want as long as they're quiet about it.

Eh.
>>
>>23709085
>if the Starks can worship their creepy trees, these guys can pray however they want as long as they're quiet about it.

I agree.

(And if anyone argues against us about letting the Painted Dogs pray however they want, we use that same argument)
>>
>>23708880

I have a feeling that Vil-ak will set up a churchish type thing or whatever the fuck they do in that little town. Which is fine and perfect.

The gold mine, yeah, I'm good with doing that next month unless people want to set up the Sept. Personally, I doubt that William is highly religious and will not be as concerned as his people about it. Also given how long it will take to make one gives us more reason to not care as much as others.

I don't see any purpose to letting other land lay fallow however. Do we have any other promising captains in our service who would be willing to go stake a claim to more of the land and raise a tower? Say... Donnal or Merrick? Hint hint.
>>
>>23709145

We realy should set up a Sept, if only because one of our men is asking for it. Combine that with having the Hill People practice their religion, then having a Sept is damned important if only to reduce future problems.
>>
>>23709107
I didn't get the vibe that our character was all that religious, given that we know that if there's any kind of hell, that's probably where we're going.
>>
>>23708880

Your mines are a bustling place of activity. The veins in your mountain are rich with good iron, and they plunge this way and that. You walk in, and are surrounded by hard working men, who bow as you pass, and then continue to work at their veins.

After about two hours of searching and asking, you find Rogar. He is at the end of a mostly tapped vein, and he's mining the last remnants. His actions are smooth and calm. His sword is a little ways up the vein, and on inspection, is definitely Valyrian steel. You watch him work for a few minutes, and then he stops, and signals you to come closer. You do so.
"Listen." is all he says. You stand still for a moment, and listen. (Rolling Awareness...success) You hear the ring of his last blow, echoing in the vein. It's a high tone, echoing, and ringing against the distant rumble of carts, and percussion of picks and voices. For a moment, you hear something...harmonic in the interplay, and then it's gone. You turn back to him.
"That is the song of your iron in the earth." He tosses the loosened chunk of iron into a cart, and wheels it up the vein, back to the main branch

Over the next few days, you work with Rogar as he follows that cart of iron through every step of the process. Every step, there comes a point where he tells you to stop, and listen. At the smelters, you hear the song more clearly, and vivid. You almost lose it at the Blacksmith's, but then it returns, louder and clearer.
You can see why Rogar approaches life the way he does. When you stop and listen, you can hear a constant song from your iron. The sound mail makes as it creaks, the sword of a sword being sharpened. It's like the world had an entire level you were missing until this day.

You gain Specialty: PAINT WITH ALL THE COLORS OF THE WIND.
(Kidding, but you do get stuff.)

Alright, guys, this is where I break your hearts. Real Life friends need me, so I have to peace out for a while. I don't know how long, but here's what I want. (cont)

Ok. House fortunes. Let's figure this out while we wait for Page to return.

Suggestions so far have been the following.
Sept/Shrine.
One or two other Banners. Each banner if they accept or become raised will first be tasked with raising their own tower, and second month a village outside their town.
Gold mine.
Fishwarf.

Any other suggestions of stuff that will strengthen our position?
>>
>>23709245
>>23709228

Actually, due to how the table works, higher isn't always better.

As it stands, you get a Blessing, and a Boon.

So month 1, you get either +1 to two stats, or +1-3 for one.
Month 2, you get either 1-3 to two stats, or 1-6 to one.

Godspeed.
>>
>>23709222
So I think we should convert launch another enlistment drive and convert 10 population to 10 power. I pushed this through last thread but yet again our realm is overcrowded and that's harming our House Fortune. 10 pop would put us in the sweet spot with a bit of a buffer against population loss for other reasons.
>>
Posting from my mobile so it remembers the thread.
>>
>>23709248

Heh, agreed Aksel. I forgot to remove mine and got better.

>>23709296

This may sound stupid, but honestly, I'm thinking about spending some defense and power to raise a scout unit from the hill tribes and towns folks and have them start checking out our neighbors in house Belmore. If we have intel on what they hell they are doing then we may just get a chance to seize the upper hand on those bastards. Veteran scouts would cost 7, but with our blacksmith, smelter, and mine, should only cost us 5, I think. Normally that comes from power, but if we are pulling from our existing stuff, Page may let us pull from defense instead.

The Sept however is still a 12+month deal.
>>
>>23709301
Obviously we want to take two stats both months so we can take greatest advantage of the things that boost it.

I vote 1 in power both months, one in defense and one in wealth.
>>
>>23709296
Expanding our Iron mines.
>>
>>23709385
I'd rather spend the defense on a tower and use power for a scout unit .. we have a lot of power after all (especially if you count our excess pop)
>>
>>23709348

Gottcha.

First month +1 to two stats, or +1-3 for one. Given how the tg dice work, I think that rolling with +1 in two stats would come out better for us. That said, +1 into law as we spread our people out and raise bannermen, and possibly +1 into either Defense or influence, both are arguable as we have increased our stability and have increased our influence in our own lands.

Second month... I'd say again go with 2 stats. Again we could go with law, but for that one I would probably go with Defense and Wealth.

>>23709331
The idea to convert 10 population to 10 power isn't bad, but the question I have right now, but how much population will we lose to make a total of 3 banners, counting Tor, and maybe both Donnal or Merrick?
>>
Here is what I want to do:
1st month Put one +1 into wealth and the other into law, convert some of our power into law, and start building our sept.
2nd month Put one of our 1-3 into wealth and the other into power, convert some of our population into power, and start expanding our iron mine or building our gold mine.
>>
>>23709385
As a note, you do have an ELITE unit of guerillas you could ask to do that.

Oh, and before I forget, your bard gains you 13 influence the first month, and 11 the next.
>>
We should start digging dirt on Lannister and Baratheon before too long, they ARE our sworn enemy.
>>
>>23709434
If our bannermen's first actions are on defense, then they start on their own towers immediately, which builds the towers for us, without our spending any actions, or points on them.

>>23709453
>>Sept.

Here's my problem with building a sept, and while I think it could be useful eventually, right now I feel the idea is poor.

Sept
Requirements – Hall or larger defense structure OR or Small Town or larger community
Cost – 15 Wealth
Time – 12+2d6 Months

That's most of our wealth, leaving us less than 10. That's 12 months in build time. We could use the wealth better elsewhere building our defenses for the time being, especially since right now we have the shitbirds from the south stirring problems in our lands, or at least have them probably considering what else they could do.

>>23709400
Expanding the mines is fine except it has a worse problem than the sept.

Extended Mineworks
Requirements – Mine Complex
Cost – 25 Wealth
Time – 24+2d6 Months

That's two plus years, and more wealth than we have on hand.
>>
>>23709479
We do, but what I'd like our guerillas doing the exact same thing, but in OUR lands, putting a kibosh on any enemies trying shit in our place. We use the scouts, who are utterly denyable in the enemy lands. "Hey, they are just ignorant hill tribesmen right?"
>>
>>23709543
Huh.
Is there anything below a sept we can make, like as a placeholder?
>>
>>23709479
Holy fuck, that will be fantastic for intrigues at the fete

>>23709452
>>23709453
No, don't put anything in law. If we put 1 point in power we get +2 from the mine. Power converts to law at 1:1 so it's better to do it that way.

I think add 1 to wealth and power the first month. That gives us +3 power and plus 1d6+2 wealth (enough to afford a sept and gold mine ... or an extended iron mine).

Then the next month I'd probably do the same but I could understand putting 1 in power and defense because that'd give us enough defense to build a tower somewhere.
>>
>>23709573
I'd rather create a special unit with awareness, stealth and fighting. Only slightly more expensive but much more disciplined (vital if they'll be operating far from us), just as good at scouting but they can fight as well.
>>
>>23709606
Nothing rules wise but I reckon we could fluff ourselves out of this by announcing that we will be building a sept. Come on, governments do it all the time, why can't we? Maybe even announce that we will be holding an architectural competition some time after the fete. Makes us appear pious without actually spending wealth.
>>
>>23709479
>>23709348

When you come back, I'd love for you to write up all the rumours and stories about us going around.
>>
>>23709609
Valid points. Only two negatives that I see.

Doing the sept and gold mine taps us out, utterly. Ditto with the extended iron mine.

What we COULD do, is have Tor on month 1 start work on the tower, and his month 2 start work on the gold mine for us rather than do it ourselves, then bump the Sept on ourselves, save the wealth, and do everything else.

Also, spending the population to power, at 10 shouldn't actually be an issue considering what we have to deal with regarding making one or two other banners. I do like the idea however of shoving the guy who wants the sept into his own tower. Let him make his own sept, keep religion out of politics, and out of our hair. Because the first time that a fucking septon denounces us a a baby killer, I swear we will march down there, break every rib in the mans body, pull his lungs out and drape them over his back, and then nail him to the sept as we burn it down as a warning not to play that shit with us.
>>
Rolled 4, 4, 4, 4, 6 = 22

>>23709543

Thats all good, and yes it will be expensive but frankly its needed.

We have recently received a fuck load of Hill Men, whom we will let work their own religion, we have no religious structure to 'our own' religion.

Lets not make it easier on our enemies than it already is.
>>
>>23709747
I completely agree with you
>>
Rolled 20

>>23709222
Let's start building a Sept.
>>
>>23709772

I will have to state that I disagree. First off, we don't have a Septon. The land hasn't had a Septon yet, and honestly do we really need to establish a fucking religion in our lands that we personally control? I'd really rather not. I'd say put it to a vote both on the board and amongst our captains, but one of them already wants the fucking thing. I can tell I'm not going to win this disagreement, but seriously guys, are we sure we really want to deal with getting religion mixed up with this shit right now? We have the hill tribes and their ancestor worship, we have the guys who don't care, we have people like Rogar who believe whatever the fuck they believes (which we may believe eventaully), and we have the cult of the Warpick. Think about how much trouble religion has caused in OUR world, let alone in this one. Do we really want to bring this shit up?

It's going to get confusing, it will cause strife, and it's going to be expensive. I vote no.
>>
>>23709747
So what's the deal with banner houses?

We have to spend a lot of power to bannerise someone don't we? Does the bannerhouse then roll it's own stats or do we have to donate from our land, pop and everything to supply it? 'cause the latter doesn't seem a worthy investment.
>>
>>23709869

Hmm. Good points. I'll agree with you on that for now.
>>
Rolled 5, 2, 1, 6, 3 = 17

>>23709869

We have to deal with it, i would rather not have anything do to with it as well but frankly its not an option.

If we don't we leave a pretty big hole in our 'defences' especially once we allow our Hill Men to continue to worship as they want.

And how much trouble has religion caused to the unprepared? To those that appeared to hold another religion in greater regard than all those around him? Bad stuff as well.
>>
>>23709869
I am actually on your side I think its stupid let our wannabe Paladin make the sept
>>
>>23709915

Go read >>23708880 about bannering people. It's not an action, and allows them to make an action of their own. We donate a bit, they get a bit, and everything kind of starts building from there. Mostly, we give them start up shit and they take what they already have and bam, there we go, and they start building without investment further from us.

And we can draw power, wealth, influence, defense, and more from them through taxes, calling the banners, using them as we need, and more.
>>
>>23709869

The issue you seem to be missing is that religion is overall as important as the nobility in a way. There is a very specific reason there where "The Three Orders". Nobility, Clergy and the People.
>>
>>23709955

See, that's why I suggested that we make Donnal a banner. He's the one of our guys who is pushing for the Sept. Fine, let's allow him his time to do it. He can select where he wants to set down his own banner, he can build his tower, and then he can build the biggest bestest fucking Sept in the world.

But it won't come from our pocket, and it will keep the hill tribes on our side, as THEY see that we don't favor either religion. That's the balancing act we have to go with. We already have them as a banner, if WE were to set up the sept on our dime and time, we possibly alienate our own guys. But if Donal does it... well fuck, that's his deal. And we can go back to worshiping with our warpick.
>>
>>23709609
>>23709673 here

>>23709869
I agree with not building our sept yet. I like the idea of making mr wannabe paladin make it but is he really the best bannermen out of our captains?

I'd prefer to spend our wealth opening a gold mine. It's one of the faster things we can build and +2 wealth is always useful.
>>
>>23710045

Seriously? Fuck the Clergy. Fuck them right in their hairy pious asses. All they do is get in the way, try to constrain our temper and actions, and take money out of our pocket. Does Tywin Lannister go around setting up Septs? No. Does Robert? No. Does Robert Arryn? No. The Starks? No. The only nobility who really focuses on the religion is the Starks and the fucking guys from Pyke. And the only one who actually allows massive influence to the religion is the Ironborn, and Cersei later when she gets a crusader as High Septon.

So seriously. In closing, fuck the religions. Let Donnal do it, but let's not muck it up ourselves.
>>
>>23710084

Yep. And that is the direction I feel we should go with month 1. Gold mine.

Is Donnal the best option for a banner? Honestly, if I could, I would turn each of our captains into Banners, including Grell. And have them turn their units over to their second in commands, that way we have our own forces, we have them and their forces, and we can build a fucking army to be feared by both Lannister, Baratheon, and anyone else who pisses us off. Especially those fucks to the south.
>>
>>23709993
We donate a bit, they roll up their stats and then they start taking actions?

So what stats and how much do we donate?.
>>
>>23710112
Actually I'd think Tywin and Robert do set up Septs, even if they're not personally devout.
Like do you have any proof that they don't?
>>
>>23710112

Ah, yes. Let me guess hardcore Atheist? Only sees religion as a bad thing? Clearly no right thinking man would believe in such bollocks?

Because the only thing i am seing here is your personal preferences. Sure a lot of what William is, is due to what the players believe, but he will at the very least know how important religion is, if only to use it.

And frankly i cant see the point in discussing it any more its not going to change anything.
>>
>>23710142
>>23710149
Just had a look at the rule book. First banner housee costs 20 power, second 10 and all the rest 5. We can afford to bannerise Tor and Donnal if we take 10 pop from power but that leaves us with only 6 power (plus the last two months house fortune, say 1d3+5 if we put two months into it)

...holy fuck we've our power rises quickly. Princely may have had to deal with the magic money machine but we've got the magic power machine. Even if we bannerise 3 new houses this month, we can still afford veteran scounts (probably veteran special)
>>
>>23710205

Sorry if it seems like an attack, but you are being obnoxious about your opinion.

And seemingly in my opinion completely ignoring something fucking important, even if William could give less than 0 fucks about religion.
>>
>>23710205

I'm not going to get into personal attacks. But in answer to your question, no. I'm not an Atheist, nor an agnostic, nor a wiccan.

I'm a practicing Catholic, and I stand by my statement. I'm also a realist, look at history, how much trouble has religion and strife from it caused? How many people have died in the name of religion?

I rest my case.
>>
>>23710274
Oh and each house rolls 5d6 for it's stats. Say 15 power for each house. We don't have direct control over it but if we called our banners we would royally fuck shit up.

Donnel could start with veteran cavalry and trained garrison, Tor with veteran raiders, green raiders, green guerrillas for example.
>>
We need a sept to avoid easy slurs against us of disfavor from the gods by allying with hillfok and killing children.
>>
>>23710383

And how many people died due to greed? Or searching for Power? Fuckloads more than religion. Hitler and Stalin sure as hell weren't religious.

Should William cease doing anything? Since those are his main goals?

I rest my case. Because frankly i can also make that generalization as well. Man is man, religion doesn't change squat except make it easier to do evil or god depending on how that person is.
>>
>>23710274
Exactly why I say we make banners. Look at our power creation, as you said it's crazy.

>>23710280
And yet again, I said we don't want to set up a state religion. We have Tor and his guys with their beliefes, let them set up whatever they want. Donnal and his belief can set up as he likes. That way WE stay out of it, and aren't seen favoring one or the other, that way we can honestly point at our two banners and their faiths and say that we favor not one or the other. We will have freedom of religion, and at the same time, freedom FROM religion. The faithful will have two places to go depending on their belief, and those who aren't concerned can do as they like.
>>
>>23710383
There's really no harm in the Sept, maybe not right now but we're going to need to one sooner or later I mean shit we invoked the Seven when we dealt with Oskar Stone.
>>
>>23710383

Dude, this is not the place or the time for this conversation. The sept buys us a lot of good will and benefits. It serves our proposes to have one and we will.

>>23710442
Building a proper place to allow for worship of the Seven is hardly enforcing religion on everyone in our lands, that's all we're doing and it'll get us good will and benefits. Shit, if the hill tribes have a building they need to worship in their way we'll build that shit too.
>>
>>23710534
See >>23710442 for why I feel letting Donnal set it up is a better option for us. But if it's needed, I'll restate.

Let the money and expenditure for it come from Donnal, which lets us spend as we like. Ditto for Tor and his guys faith. Let them spend on it, we can focus on everything else. It's part of why we have banners.

>>23710470
Fuck you in the heart. This thread had no attacks until then, it was just disagreement. Attacks weren't and aren't needed.

>>23710504
Glad we can settle that.
>>
>>23710534

Yeah if at any moment someone tries to stir shit out on either side we hammer it down. Worship of Old gods or new is protected under the law. Period.
>>
I'm not against making bannerizing Donnal and Tor to delegate some shit to them. The question is if we can trust Tor enough to make him that important to our lands.
>>
>>23710652
Tor respects us after the beating we gave him. he knows what we can
>>
>>23710652

Why don't we make his son our squire and eventually Knight and Lord.
>>
>>23710682
Luuk will definitely be fairly loyal to us, we're giving what he wants, a chance to see the world and such. If he can behave himself we out to take him to the fete with us. We need to bring some badass retainers to accompany us.
>>
>>23710652
We already bannered him. He's the defacto leader of the hill tribes, who we have already won to our side. Each of them in their own way pledged to us. Yes, we can trust him, because he understands that if he didn't do it, we would crush and kill everything that he and his people holds dear. Also, we promised them protection, and official sanction as part of our guys. He seems like a decent guy, and he's the one who turned us onto the purple enemy.

>>23710604
Like I said, delegate that shit to them, we focus on our personal goals.

And by the way, we may need to add a wife to those personal goals. This time with lord whatisname who we are visiting before the fete may not be a bad time to try cementing other lordly allies, especially through wedded bliss.
>>
>>23710716

Hm, i think the general overview of whats going to happen is done then.
>>
>>23710742

Kinda, except we have a problem.

What do we do on month 2?
>>
>>23710716

>Like I said, delegate that shit to them, we focus on our personal goals.

Keeping the peace is our job in general, we will tread it no different than any other problem with people breaking the law that much to come to our attention.
>>
>>23710774
What else is there for us to really do before the fete? Tor will be taking care of the gold mine and the town with Murwin right? Donnel will be taking care of our sept. We could train some of the hill tribesmen into a more cohesive military unit?
>>
>>23710813
Donnel goes tower, then Sept or Town, either one.

Month 2... I'm partial to >>23709609 and extending the Iron Mine depending.
>>
>>23710860

We still don't have a Maester and we should have one by now.
>>
>>23710716
So we've already bannered Tor? That means we can banner Donnel with the 10 power from population ... and still have at least 32 power left over!

That could buy us 3 centuries of Unsullied!
>>
>>23710891

Bahwahahahaha! Huzzah for the unsullied.

Except we have to get them shipped here in packages, which will also be slavery, which is illegal, so... no.

Also, yeah, we Bannered Tor earlier. Donnel costs 10, which leaves us... 16 base, plus bonuses, plus expenditures... uh... yeah. Damned math, and if we convert population to power... uh... wow... we are right back where we started, or better with power.

So... Hmm... wanna get those troops?
>>
>>23710890
We've already got our half-maester, that'll hold us for until after the fete I think.

>>23710860
Personally I want to extend the iron mine. Logically gold would be better (and I've been saying this since the 1st thread) but the narrative appeal of being the number 1 weapons-dealer in the Seven Kingdoms is just too much for me to ignore. Seriously, extending our mine turns it into one of the biggest industrial structures in Westeros and we'd be able to buy trained infantry for the same cost most people buy green peasant levies!
>>
>>23710942
I am still for forming the Iron Hounds. Seems no one remembers that but it was popular yesterday...
>>
>>23710998

Very valid point about the troops raising cost.

If we instill a blacksmith guild into our town, it gets even better... hmm... Mine, then have our Castellan or ourselves do the guild setup during fete month?
>>
>>23711006
We did that. Remember, we converted the Hilltribes to one elite unit and two greens, that went into population?
>>
>>23711033
No I don't actually remember that...Man I need a current stat and troop list shit changes so fast lol
>>
>>23710891
I nominate that our army be relatively small compared to any Great House (like half the size), but it is all vetern or Elite, and equipped with the best stuff. Then when war comes, we smash everyones shit.
>>
>>23710942
Damn straight I would.

So first month we put 1 in power and 1 in wealth and begin construction on the gold mine. Second month.1d3 in the same and shift 10 population into power. Gives us
>>1d3+5+10 power
>>2d6+4 wealth

I also noticed that we got elite special when we bannered Tor, I'm assuming those are our Iron Hounds.

Personally, even though they're allied, I'm concerned by the number of clansmen around us. I'd like to purchase a veteran garrison (for 5 power) for the small town (assuming our current garrison is in our castle. I also feel like some veteran archers and infantry would come in handy.
>>
>>23711096

Page mentioned last time that our army is already strong enough to crush anyone in the vale other than Robert Arryn, and considering we just added another elite unit, we could possibly give him a run for his money.

And that's not just in hoard numbers either, that's in elite and veteran troops.
>>
>>23711147
Are you saying OUR town, or the town that Tor is setting up? Because if it's Tor's town, he needs to raise that. If it's ours, then it's basically buying a second garrison as we already have a veteran garrison.
>>
>>23711147

My bad. Disregard the comment about the garrison. I forgot that we stuck those in our castle.
>>
>>23711243
I thought our Garrison was in charge of guarding our town and castle with the help of our infantry?
>>
>>23711096
I agree. Logically we should go for lots of units of cheap troops so that we get to use the benefit from our iron mine more often but (judging from the crazymaths a couple of threads ago, elite troops are significantly more effective than their numbers would imply).

I also feel that if the MAD, HATE-DRIVEN, VILLAINOUS Lord Bordain of Murderkeep, Commander of the Bloodsmiths, Terror of the Wildmen, Butcher of Babies and Pickaxer of Princesses suddenly raises an army several thousand strong ... people may begin to get a little jumpy. An elite and veteran army may be even stronger but it shouldn't so terrify the lords around us (until they see it in action at least)
>>
>>23711205

>strong enough to crush anyone in the vale other than Robert Arryn

Ha! That's one on one man. And Royce is still bigger than us.
>>
>>23711262
They are, but we've got a LOT of wildmen around us, we've got rival lords stirring up shit and frankly an extra defensive unit would make me much more comfortable. I chose garrisson because they're both cheaper and more disciplined when fighting a defensive combat.
>>
>>23711284

Yeah. Until we break out of our shell and start talking to the idiot lords around us, they will view anything we do with suspicion. Especially raising an army. Especially raising an army after arming the hillfolk and making them part of our kingdom.

Yeah, what a surprise an entire elite/veteran army with castle forged steel will prove to be for the first son of a bitch that comes at us.
>>
>>23711329

Endorsed. I still like the idea of unleashing our guerillas with Grell into the wild to purge outside influence from our lands, and the idea of sending scouts south from our lands into the asshole neighbor, but arming up a garrison certainly isn't going to hurt. However, for a total of 2 power in difference, we could raise them to infantry, and have more use out of them outside of town defense. They could still double as the garrison, but they would be even more effective.

Also, we may want to consider this.

It's been three+ months now. We've come out of our shell. We may start seeing some of the sell swords coming our way to get gear, along with other landless men, and landless knights. We may want to keep our eyes open for someone who either is too good to be true for what we have right now, or some actual decent knights, possibly displaced ones who lost everything in the war. It's a win win for us.
>>
>>23711335
Meh. An entire army of unupgraded elite/vets still suck. Wealth directly converts to armour and damage for our existing units, so we really should focus on wealth, even if we want to go for a military victory.
>>
>>23711415
I second the idea of sending out Grell to take care of dissidents I also prefer the infantry over the garrison.

For reference, these are the stats of units before and after upgrades (2 wealth per category per unit). Much more efficient than castle forged gear for +1 accuracy.
>>
>>23711335
What we don't have is much ranged combat and I think that's a pretty big oversight considering the terrain of our area really favours archers. I'd like to get some Elite Infantryx2 and Elite Archers for a total of 26. Throw in the veteran garrison on top and we've nicely reached our power level.

That way we'd have what most would consider a large if reasonable army (1 personal guard, 2 inf, 1 archers, 2 scounts (guerrillas and Iron Hounds both have stealth)) ... ours just happens to be entirely elite. Plus whatever veteran troops that I can't remember. Hmm, if we could upgrade our cavalry to elite as well that'd be fantastic.
>>
>>23711548
I would fully endorse that, however we need to keep a strategic reserve, I'd say at least 5 for emergencies in case something comes up. That would be my only issue. If we increased the population->power dump to 15, that would still leave us with 5 left after the troops purchases, which I would be very ok with.

And in story, it would come that those troops are landless and lordless men who have come here because they heard there is a lord who just doesn't give a fuck, has nice steel, and while may be mad as fuck, at least isn't a fucking jackass to his people.
>>
>>23711509
>>23711548
Also, are you taking into effect the huge discouts we get on expenditures because of the iron mine, the blacksmith, the smelter, and etc?
>>
>>23711461
>>23711415
But that two points of difference makes them 3 points less disciplined. The rules say they're more effecting when fighting on their lands I (rather optimistically) read that as when fighting anywhere in our realm, you know, defending their homeland. That makes them good realm-wide defense troops. If it only means defending the particular town they're from then I agree with making them infantry
>>
>>23711635
I believe so.

Current power = 26
+10 from population
+1d3+5 from 2 months of fortune
42+
-10 from bannerrising Donnel
-18 Two Elite Inf (Normally 22)
-8 Elite Archers (Normally 10)
-2 Training Cavalry from Veteran to Elite
=4+ left in reserve or used to buy 1 trained garrisson and 1 trained support (I feel our army is big enough that a unit of healers, stablehands and armourers is warranted)
>>
(I think someone should archive this thread just in case Page doesn't come back before it autosages or 404's)

>>
>>23711509
I think we should definately upgrade our cavalry (+4 arm +2 dmg) and personal guard (+4 armour +1 dmg).

I'm not sure about the rest but I think we should since we're Lord Motherfucking Bordain, Armourer of All Westeros and Follower of the Great Spirit Animal WARPICK. Our armies better be the best damn equipped armies in the Seven Kingdoms. Hopefully our smelter, blacksmith and blacksmith's guild will reduce the cost of upgrading our soldiers
>>
>>23712125
Our armies are already armed with castle forged steel I t really doesn't get better than that.
>>
>>23712125
Alright so I'm assuming the 10 armour for upgraded personal guard shows that they've been equipped with fullplate. If it costs 2 wealth to upgrade 20 personal guard to wear fullplate, can we pay 10 wealth to equip an entire unit of 100 inf in fullplate?

Resources augmented by your rolls?
>>
>>23712530
Sorry, that was vague: what are you gonna boost?
>>
Rolled 5

>>23712277
>>Begin construction of the gold mine
>>Appoint Donnel our bannerman(he is the religious leader of our cavalry, right?)
>>Put one point in wealth and one in power (rolling for wealth)
>>Order our Elite Guerrillas spread out through our realm to fuck any disobedient wildmen, bandits or foreign agents.
>>
>>23712530

Yep. Based on the roll results we gave, all that we need are the rolls listed in this >>23711147 Which results in the stuff in >>23711811
>>
>>23712498
Does Tor have a tower?
>>
>>23712569
Tor's first thing was to get a tower built. Followed by a town. Tower and bannering was last month. So for this batch of 2 months, he does a town.
>>
Rolled 4, 3 = 7

>>23712601
Excellent, then in the second month we...

>>Add 1d3 to power and wealth (rolls in that order)
>>Convert 10 pop to power
>>23711811 Buy this.
>>
>>23712569
He's actually building the town first, as that was my understanding but the point is irrelevant, since both take longer than a month to construct.

>>23712498
>>23712550

Donnal is named Knight of (Make something up here), and appointed as your banner. Power now 16, 19 after fortunes.

Construction of gold mine: wealth is now 13, +7 from >>23712550, 20.
Gold mine will take 9 months to completion.

Grell smiles at the order: "Done."

Stats at the end of the First month:
DEFENSE: 8
INFLUENCE: 36
LANDS: 10. (You had to give some of your land resources to found the two houses.)
LAW:15 (as a result of Grell's tender mercies.)
POPULATION: 42
POWER: 19
WEALTH: 20
>>
>>23712718
Awesome.

Month 2? The military expansion and upgrade fever?
>>
Rolled 5, 2 = 7

>>23712701
>>23712718
Can we have the Iron Hounds assist Grell?
>>
>>23712701

MONTH 2
You gain 4 power:Power 23
You gain 9 wealth (I converted one of the two into 1d6+2) Wealth 29

You convert 10 population to power.
Population:32
Power: 33
You Begin training and arming 2 units of elite infantry. Power 15 You begin training and armign a unit of Elite archers. POwer 7. You improve your Cavalry from Veteran to Elite. Power 5.

You lack sufficient power to acquire both a trained Garrison and Support. Which do you prefer?
>>
Huh, so by making an attempt to see the world the way Rogar does, does that mean he no longer wants to duel us?
I could have sworn that he wanted to fight us after he heard the song of iron.
>>
>>23712801
This reminds me.
You gain 4 Law, but lose 6 population over month 2, from Grell's actions.

New Law 19
New Population 26

>>23712821
We're actually ready to return to that if you like. I just couldn't run it at the time.
>>
>>23712802
I figure the elite inf can stand in for the garrisson

Support it is.
>>
>>23712839
Support. Our army is going to need it.
>>
>>23712828
Damnit Grell. Stop murdering our citizens.
>>mfw the population loss outweighs any law benefit
>>
>>23712828
Alright, Grell can just go back to... whatever it is he normally does.
In retrospect, that was probably a mistake on our part.
>>
>>23712881
Also, I'm up for skipping back to Rogar, but I'm not sure if you'd be better off opening up with it in the next thread, considering it looks like a bunch of people left.
>>
>>23712889
I am here just lurking
>>
>>23712861
>>23712881

In his defense, he rolled poorly.

And Population is a matter of density, not just numbers. People are spreading out more for fear of provoking Grell's interest.

>>23712839
>>23712847
-3 for Trained Support.
Current power: 2.

>>23712889
Then I'll put it to a vote: Duel Rogar tonight, or save it?
>>
>>23712911
>Duel Rogar tonight, or save it?

When do we meet with Tollett?
>>
>>23712964

I *could* do it tonight if we don't duel Rogar, or if the duel goes fast enough.

Otherwise, it'll be the opener tomorrow, and honestly that's what I'd prefer.
>>
>>23712991
Eh, let's do the duel then.
>>
>>23712991

We'll duel Rogar now, then we can meet with Tollett tomorrow.
>>
>>23712991
eh, lets do the duels tonight, why not
>>
>>23712911
Let's duel him tonight.

I'd also like to send one of the elite infantry units to the mine and have them set up fortifications up there. Obviously we'd need some seriously terrible leadership before an attack could sneak past the castle in the same domain but I still think it's useful to have them set up camp there. Could help prempt any discontent or lawlessness amongst the miners as well.
>>
>>23712991
Yeah let's get this done with.
>>
>>23713058
>>23713054
>>23713034
>>23713014

After you finish in the mines, the smelter, the Blacksmith's forge, you and Rogar stand in the training center of your castle. He holds a newly-made Castle-forge steel Greatsword, long and sharp. You hold a freshly made warpick.

"You are ready?" He asks calmly. "Ready to listen?"

You nod solemnly. And the battle is joined.
INITIATIVE!
Which is 4d6.
>>
Rolled 2, 2, 2, 6 = 12

>>23713119
Feel the Iron
>>
Rolled 5, 5, 4, 2 = 16

>>23713119
Our iron sings a song of victory
>>
Rolled 1, 6, 6, 6 = 19

>>23713119
Oh good, he isn't using his Valyrian steel blade.
Too bad we pride ourselves on producing quality weapons.
>>
>>23713142
Huh. That's an improbable combination.
>>
>>23713142
You go first.
Take your action.
>>
>>23713142
huh
>>
>>23713162
I think trying to close the distance might be good, since I'm pretty sure he has the advantage with reach.
And then um... Crap I can't think of any moves that aren't cheap.
>>
>>23713246
You can just say "I attack."
You can say "I fight defensively", which gives you a -1D to attack, but raises your defense by 3.
You can fight recklessly, taking a -5 to defense for a +1D to attack.

There are many options.
>>
Rolled 2, 1, 5, 4 = 12

>>23713278
Just attack I think.
>>
>>23713278
One of your favored tactics in previous fights was to attack your opponent's armor and weapons.

He doesn't have armor, but he does have a weapon.
>>
>>23713278
In that case, a normal attack sounds good to start with.
>>
>>23713310
Yeah, that sounds good, let's try and snap his sword in half
>>
>>23713310
What's the composition of our war-pick?
Like is it all steel, or is there a wooden shaft?
>>
>>23713338
I think all steel suits us better
>>
>>23713309

You close the distance to him, and swing out in a simple attack. He easily evades it, dodging to the side, and then he swings his blade out at you. He lands the blow easily, and you shudder behind your shield from the sheer strength of it. He's a strong man. There is a clang when the blade. (You soak all damage with your armor)
>>
>>23713373
Your turn again.

Also, your attacks are roll 6d6 keep 4. I rolled your last 2d6.
>>
Rolled 5, 5, 4, 6 = 20

>>23713381
Lets not attack his weapon. New idea. Disarm him.
>>
Rolled 6, 4, 2, 1, 1, 6 = 20

Just attack
>>
Rolled 4, 1, 5, 2, 5, 5 = 22

>>23713403
lets go with this
>>
>>23713403
>>23713415 Stealing his first two rolls.

You lash your warpick out, and tear the sword from his hand, the sound ringing out across the yard, and reverberating as the sword bounces, once, twice, three times.

Rogar sighs and closes his eyes.

"Listen"

Roll 3d6
>>
Rolled 6, 5, 3 = 14

>>23713476
>>
Rolled 6, 5, 4 = 15

>>23713476
>>
>>23713476

Rolling & Bumpin'
>>
>>23713533
By the skin of your teeth.

You hear it again. In the last echoes of his sword's descent, bouncing off the castle walls, ringing within and against each successive chime. You have heard it in the mine, in the smelter, you heard it in the hammering of your smith's, and now in the fall of an opponent's sword.

You feel...connected to your Iron now.
Rogar, watching you, smiles.
"It is easier, when you sing less strong at the start." He reaches out, and pats your shoulder.
"Now you know one song. That is more than most. Now you are truly a Chief of Iron."

You gain: ARMOR MASTERY, WEAPON MASTERY, AND WEAPON SAVANT, when wielding weapons or armor forged in your lands.

And that's it for the night, folks!
See you tomorrow!
>>
Rolled 1, 4, 6 = 11

>>23713686

I'm a moran.
>>
>>23713689

Man, I made that fight HARD, too.

He has a fucking 17 Combat defense!
You had to roll higher than a 20 out of 24 to pull that disarm stunt!

Lucky son of a bitch.
>>
>>23713689
....Did we just upgrade from BADASS to DON'T FUCK WITH THIS GUY HE WILL DESTROY YOU?
>>
Rolled 4, 3, 5, 4 = 16

>>23713731

Happy to oblige Page!

>>23713737

Pretty sure we did, yeah.

Chief of Iron and Iron accessories.
>>
>>23713775
Ok, just to make it clear, What does this mean mechanically?
>>
Rolled 6, 2, 2 = 10

>>23713689
And those are some fucking fantastic benefits. I kinda want to learn more from him at some point. Maybe when we have some spare time we can take him, Grell (and maybe Luuk and Egar) on a hunt, learn some songs of the forest and (less excitingly) learn some of the customs of the wildmen who now make up a very significant portion of my realm.
>>
>>23713821
All your armor is +1 AR, 1 less armor penalty. All your weapons are +1 damage. You may wield any weapon made from your iron without taking a penalty for lack of training.
>>
Rolled 3, 3, 3, 1 = 10

>>23713821

Honestly, I am not sure in any way because I don't have my pdf on this computer. Headed to bed ya'll. Night!
>>
Rolled 5, 4, 2 = 11

>>23713821
>>+1 damage reduction from armour and reduce the movement penalty by 1
>>Warpick dmg +1
>>Proficient with all weapons regardless of training
>>
>>23713852
...So my comment from before is basically true? Nice.
>>
>>23713823
For the last part, I think we should talk to Vil-ak.
Learn about any particular festivals or holidays they celebrate.
Hopefully it won't be anything that'll make our original citizens bitchy.
>>
Rolled 3, 5, 4 = 12

>>23713893
Yeeeah but culture's less appealing than the Song of the Forest / the Hunt / the Night / whatever other cool thing we (and our elite commanders) can learn.
