Kind of - there are things that are strictly personal property (like most of your weapons and maybe a ship or two) but there's also a lot of clan property.

If you dont have a ship of your own (we dont - we borrowed ours from the mistress of ships, though we probably could claim our fathers as ours) you end up having to request to join the hunts of elder hunters (who own their ships and basically joyride around hunting things all the time).

We are still very young and relatively in-experienced, our mentor might suggest we take some of our fellow students on a hunt (once they're blooded)... but other young-bloods are notoriously foul tempered and hot headed (to the point of the real meatheads of the lot provoking fights with elite hunters - who may or may not immediately turn around and kill them for being stupid).

Our particular type of hunter (the intellectual variety) doesn't mesh well with meatheads who just think we're smaller than them and that they can muscle us around. Aaaand at the moment we don't really have matriarch permission to do whatever we want.
