You alight at your castle and open the door, and are almost immediately accosted by an anxious servant.
"Lady Isabella! The healer girl's gone missing and we can't find her anywhere!"
Oh dear. You acquired Rose from the streets of Eyesocket, and she's seen the results of your leaving one of her friends with the dolls for a lesson in humility. If she gets the opportunity to talk to anyone about what she's seen, this is going to be a public relations disaster even before your vampiric nature gets involved.

> What do you do?
>>
>>25081242
You are Isabella Katarina Markova, twelfth of the line of Carmilla, thirteen generations from Dracula, the First. This places you with enough blood and power to make you a minor noble in Shadescast, the city of the vampires, and possess your own castle- which does not necessarily have sensible geometry, and which is not always in the same place. Though your physical appearance is that of a young girl, you are actually three and a half centuries old.

You spend your time responding to requests from other vampires for lore, and holding tea parties and other social events, both with humans and vampires. On occasion, you indulge in adding one or two of them to your collection of porcelain dolls…

Recently, you were attacked by a human vampire hunter who managed to temporarily kill you. Upon rising from death, you captured him and left him in the tender hands of your doll collection... but first he managed to majorly deface your castle and burn a portion of your library, including some hard-to-replace texts. Signs point to him having been hired by a rival vampire... and one who was here, and managed to take one of your dolls.

Currently, you are working to turn the mayor of Mark into your soft, gooey servant. The process will take one or two weeks more. You also intend to invest in the airship trade- a process speeded considerably when the chattel you acquired to raise money were vastly overvalued by a vampiric noble by the name of Blackford. As a result, you own his airship yards in Mark. Having now returned from formally transferring control, you've discovered that one of the slaves you kept has gone missing in your absence…

Oh shit.
>>
well, how good are we at tracking things? I mean we are a vampire and have a wolf form if need be right?
>>

You didn't put any controls on her, left her unguarded, and then asked her to treat the wounds of someone you left with the dolls.

If she was scared before, she was terrified after that.

Yes, but you have poor ferocity and thus don't make a very good animal in general.

Well, the immediate answer is to ASK THE CASTLE where she went. She couldn't have gone far, and assuming Castlevania here respects us enough, it's kept the girl busy while we have the time to track her down.
>>
Fuuuuuuuuuuck
>>

Yeah, in retrospect we kind of did go full retard on that count.

On the bright side, if we manage to salvage it and bring her back, it'll basically stop anybody else from trying to escape again. She'll be made an example of.

Just so you know, OP, the girl in your thread picture is Flandre Scarlet, a 490+ year old vampire from the Touhou series of Japanese "bullet hell" games.

Almost three centuries ago.
Fake cover parents? About two months ago.
>>
What do we have for scrying spells? Do we have anything on-hand that could speed that process?
>>
>>25081350
Yeah, ask the castle if she's still inside, and if not, where she went.

If she is still inside, then this should be easy, but we were away for a few hours so I think she probably would have found an exit, which makes things very difficult. Maybe if we had a hair or a sample of blood we could sniff her out?
>>
The dolls have blood magic.

I like to think this was our reaction to servants running away /again/.
>>
>>25081423
That's a terrible idea. Our servant is our business, not the Mayor's, plus we don't want to expose him to the true nature of Castlevania here.
>>

You quickly concentrate and ask the castle where the healer girl has gone.

The castle doesn't answer in words, but you have a feeling in the soles of your shoes that makes you want to walk in a certain direction...
>>
The question is though "Where" did she go.

I mean the castle is connected to a few different places correct? We can always ask Mr. Castle if he knows and promise him something nice if he gives us a hint.
>>
>>25081423
No no no absolutely not. If the mayor gets a chance to talk to her, even if he thinks she's genuinely hysterical, it'll still colour his impression of us, and maybe he'll decide to go looking around the castle.

Speakin' of Remilia, I'm wondering if we'll ever get a portal door that opens up to a Gensokyo-knockoff.

You walk in the direction that feels right, and before long, you're standing in front of the door that leads into Ulvenwald.

This is simultaneously good and bad.

Good, because it's unlikely Rose is going to find any people we care about in that time.

Bad, because Ulvenwald is a enormous trackless forest that hosts very nasty things that might eat her before we find her. Not to mention that it'll be a devil to find her at all...
>>
>>25081508
And that fucking hammer that we STILL haven't retrieved from the woods.
>>
>>25081518
> That time? That place. Castle is not TARDIS. Yet.
>>
>>25081518

Do we know of anyone, vampire or not, that is willing to help us look through Ulvenwald?
>>
>>25081526
What are we gonna do with a holy warhammer? It's not like we can swing it, never mind it unbecoming for us to swing it in the first place.
>>
What job in the house did we ever assign Maxwell to?
>>
>>25081507
I'm not too worried about her talking. Rose is just a homeless girl. I don't think we'd even gotten around to giving her proper servant attire.

Who would take the ramblings of a crazed hobo seriously?
>>
>>25081539
How about we take it and get it out of the woods directly adjacent to our window.

Melt it into scrap, fleshcraft it into the armor of a metal hobo guard for anti vampire defenses.

I don't give a fuck. It needs to not be where it is now.
>>
>>25081518
I suppose there's always the option of just lolling heartily at Rose's likely hideous demise in the woods.
>>
>>25081518
Is it night in Ulvenwald? If yes, we can spread our wings and fly at a good pace through the woods to track her down. She's on foot, and I'm assuming we have some method of recognizing/tracking her.

AFTER we change out of our good clothes into something less, err, froofy. We don't want it getting caught on any trees.
>>
>>25081518
It's a pity that Rose ran away as it's so hard to find good servants these days, but we might as well look for her.

Because if we don't we won't be able to punish her.
>>
>>25081533
Well, you did have your Dolls making some experiments in hoboflesh while you were out. Maybe they made something useful.
>>
>>25081539
Well, it's possible the Rose now has it and will use it against us if we chase after her.
>>
>>25081583
Do we have time for that?
>>
>>25081586
I imagine a wily banditgirl is unwieldy at best if she swings that hammer.
>>
>>25081579
Precisely. The main point here is to discourage any further escape attempts.

If it's night, I guess we can go and start searching the forest for her. She can't have got far.
>>
>>25081583
Yes, lets go see what our dolls have cooked up while we were away and then we can go on a pleasant hunting trip!
>>
>>25081596
If we have time to change our clothes into something that won't get ruined in Ulvenwald (and we WILL be changing our clothes), we have time to at least pop our head in and see if our dolls are willing to help before we go belting off into the woods.
>>
>>25081583

Let's go see what our Dolls have made~!
>>
>>25081596
Probably. Ulvenwald is trackless and checking with the dolls probably won't take that long.

>>25081570
It's currently day in Ulvenwald, unfortunately.
>>
>>25081638
Well.
Shit.
Uhm.

>>
Don't forget that we can just latch onto a bird and share its eyes as it flies around.

Actually, would it be possible to use our no-save domination on some birds to have them search for us?
>>
>>25081631
Alright then. Hoboflesh trial one. What has science done?!

>>25081638

Fairly thick. You could take a parasol and be okay with it.

>>25081661
Your range on riding animals' senses is only about a mile or two. Rose has a decent head start and may be out of range by now.
>>
>>25081666
This won't save you unless you're in shadows already. It's basically like a parasol.
>>
>>25081674
Still can't hurt. Let's slave a couple birds and fan out to our max animal empathy range and see if they can't spot Rose. If not, then we'll have to go on foot.
>>
>>25081638
Ugh. I guess we'll go see what the dolls have created, and if it's gone well, take it to assist us. If the forest canopy is thick and it's cloudy, we should be okay in a cloak and parasol, right?

Obviously change into something more suited to tromping around in the woods.

Possibly sigh in exasperation. Crawling through the undergrowth like a stray animal is not something we are supposed to be doing. I do so hope that those experiments pay off, we could use some kind of combat servitor.
>>
>>25081674
But could we dominate an animal and tell it to search for her, possibly telepathically sharing her picture with it? Of course, this is assuming that we can dissolve domination for free.

Sighing, you turn and hurry to the dollhouse, whose cherrily-muraled walls are unusually thickly painted today. As you step inside, you notice a few bodies on the ground, stripped of various parts by the dolls. None of them have any bones left.

The dolls themselves stand in a silent crowd, more of them here at once than you've seen in years. There is a general air of hushed anticipation.

As you move forwards through the silent ranks of dolls, they part for you respectfully. As the final dolls melt away, you can at last see their creations, lined up against the far wall like some kind of grotesque art gallery.

A woman; her face is perfect. Alabaster skin. Hair red like dark blood. No, not like blood; hair that is blood. It cloaks her form, redly swirling across her dress to fall to the floor in pools of gore. Her hands and eyes hide in it, leaving only a too-sharp smile exposed to express her satisfaction with her new form.

A life-sized set of toy soldiers. When you step nearby, they obediently salute you, but their eyes cry out for salvation from within their tin faces. Brass-shod rifles are clutched in their rigid hands, polished to perfection and no doubt fully loaded.

A man, clockwork wings grafted to his back in a parody of an angel. Each long, flexible feather is razor-edged. Coiling thorns of copper spread outward from his wings, biting into his body and skin, bearing a black, thick liquid that mixes with his blood. Despite the pain of the thorns and the grafted wings, his face is completely impassive, and the filigreed pistol he holds dangles loosely from one finger by its trigger-guard.

A four-legged beast covered in alternating plates of black porcelain and grey steel. Its head shows signs of having once been human, but a jagged black mask of porcelain clamps around its neck, hiding its face entirely from view. Leathery hide beneath the layers of metal and ceramic is stained permanently slick with blood, undoubtably a result of wounds hidden beneath the thing's iron shell. It strains against the chains that fetter it to the wall, trying to reach you with porcelain claws- and you realize that this must be what has become of the former hunter, driven to a state of constant rage by carefully applied pain.

Four bodies lie on the ground, apparently stripped for parts by the dolls. None of them have any bones left.

Applaud our porcelain craftsmen for a job well done. Make sure they're ready for a test run as soon as we get changed. We've got an errant servant in Ulvenwald, and we want her back ALIVE.
>>
>>25081811
Let's send the winged fellow out to look for Rose. Well, provided the wings work and he can actually fly.

And make sure at least one of the soldiers monitors that beasty thing. It doesn't sound like the sort of thing we'd want getting loose.
>>
>>25081811
Set the toy soldiers to guard the different entrances of the castle.

Our clock work angel will be our lead scout to find out where our servant is and if he can secure her all the better.

The hunter will have to be chained somewhere, but first he must be dominated. We can't have him try and harm us now can we?
>>
>>25081867
Well, the hunter appears as if it would be good for this task if not for an attitude of almost guaranteed mutiny. Then again, it's clear enough that this guy/thing has been fucked with that I don't think domination will be a problem.

None of the others except maybe the flying guy look like they're suited for this task to me.

On another note, I love our dolls so much right now.
>>

Congratulate our dolls, gush with excitement about their projects, hug them all. Tell them how much we love them, how beautiful they are and how beautiful their creations are in their own way, and how they did so much more than what we expected.

Give the ones who spearheaded the projects and led the others exuberant kisses upon their porcelain foreheads and cheeks.

Ask them if the Hound and Angel can track, I think they both could be useful, we'll have to Dominate the Hound a bit for this, but it'll be worth it if he can follow Rose by scent.

Ask them what Scarlet, my new name for the blood woman, can do.

Anything with Masquerade 0 is impossible to disguise as a normal being.

>>25082162
Unless you're showing her off to vampires or others who are canny to the supernatural, yes. Mundaes will pretty quickly notice the blood everywhere.
>>
>>25082172
Can you blame us for trying to trust our subjects? The only things we've had before them are the dolls and our butler and staff, and they stopped asking questions a long time ago.
>>
>>25082129
>The tin soldiers are more human looking than we are.
Nigga wut
>>
>>25082162
Interestingly, the Tin Soldiers seem pretty okay to show in public.
>>
>>25082129
ok so what can scarlet and angel actualy do, I asume the soilders and hunter are prety self explanatory and dont have any hidden functions other than "follow orders" and "kill everything"
>>
>>25082172
Rose was frightened of us from the start; she simply didn't register as a flight risk to us.

I assumed you do have your servants do regular checks on prisoners because you're not an idiot, that's why you're hearing about this now and not when she comes back with an angry mob/ when she's next needed.
>>
>>25082207
The difference here is in handling. If you make a slip on your Masquerade check, you make a recoverable mistake.

For your servants? Cover blown instantly.
>>
>>25082224
Oh I understood that. But if we'd put some precautions in place I doubt Bradley would have made it out the door even with that roll.
>>
>>25082207
Maybe they look like clockwork things, or like ordinary soldiers in complicated armor?
>>
>>25082129
Alright, looks like the soldiers will make good guard postings. Their high masquerade score should allow them to basically pose as decorative statues until a time when they are needed.

Scarlet can accompany us for the hunt, but otherwise she deserves her own room. Maybe with fountains of blood or some such.

Angel is well suited for scouting, by the looks of it. We should get him a room full of chains.

We'll need to dominate Hunter, and keep it fed., and then he can serve as our personal attack dog. His room would be full of spikes and claws.

How many spare rooms does the castle have? It'd be pretty cool if we could have a single themed room dedicated to each of these unique creations, like a tableau.

>mfw our new pets.

As a side note, as adorable as it is that they've managed to fleshcraft babby's first nightmare legion this speaks to a rather disturbing level of autonomy in the dolls. Given that one is already missing (assumed stolen not proven) we might want to keep an eye on their further development.

tldr: No more surprises.
>>
>>25082182
So the current plan is to lavish praises on our dolls, tell them to get their new projects ready for a hunt, slave some Ulvenwald birds to try and find Rose before we head out ourselves, and change our clothes into something more outdoorsey. If the birds can't find her, send our new "Angel" out to find her. Either way, we wait until we've got eyes on her.
>>
Scarlet's awesome. Mini us with more blood.
>>
>>25082270
>How many spare rooms does the castle have?
However the hell many Castlevania wants to give us.
>>
>>25082269
They look like people with unusually stiff facial expressions.

You'll only really notice if you take the time to converse with one at length or inspect it up close.
>>
>>25082290
That said, our digs are exceptionally big, I'd think.
>>
>>25082290
This. It's noneuclidean and adds and subtracts rooms at its whim.
>>
>>25082290
Then we should totally devote an entire wing to a gallery.
>>
>>25082276
I think Hound would also be damn useful for a hunting mission, we can Dominate it pretty easily and make it follow our orders, and it's both fast as hell and may be able to track by scent, if not we'll improve it later.

Also, we can ride on top of it, side-saddle of course since we're a proper lady.
>>
>>25082275
We'll find our missing doll soon enough, don't worry about that.
>>
>>25082129
Clearly Scarlet will be our assistant will all things magical and have her do magic related things while we are away.
>>
Any suggestions for names for the Angel and Hound, or are those names sufficient already?
>>
>>25082310
I disgree. I say Hunter is our personal attack dog right now before we know for sure what it can do. Generally, the helldog is the last thing someone wants to see before they get mauled to death.
>>
Do the angel and Soldiers not have to eat at all?
>>
>>25082343
"Angel" and "Hunter" are fine for now until their acts warrant them a more lavish and beautiful name.

In this house, you have to earn your name, assuming Milady doesn't give you one already.
>>
>>25082363
I dunno about 'Angel'.
>>
>>25082356
...That's a good question. Probably not, but I assume the staff will provide accomodations for them where necessary.
>>
>>25082343
Hunter for the hound, as a mockery of it's former life.

Dunno about Angel. A classic angel name seems a little cliche/unfitting.
>>
This really reminds me of the game Evil Genius.

I think the hunger stat refers more to the urge to feast upon the living, rather than just eating food in general.
>>
>>25082356
They have no unnatural Hunger.
They could still have to eat actual food, though the Toy Soldiers might not even need that.

The dog is ravenous, of course. (+5 Hunger/day.) Scarlet has a more modest appetite. (+2 Hunger/day.)

Which makes it all the more important to butter it up with improvements to make it like us better.

A thought just occured to me: our estate doesn't have a name. As referential as it is to keep calling it Castlevania, our home needs a proper title.
>>
>>25082343
I suggested the names so I happen to like them.

Angel we could call Seraph instead of Angel if we wish to be more specific or perhaps give him one of the names of the various Angels such as Samael.

For Hound other possibilities are Hunter, Jager, or Venator if we're feeling like delving into Latin.
>>
>>25082447
I'm kinda liking Seraph for the "angel" thing.
>>
>>25082447
Hound, Cain.
>>
>>25082447
I can dig Seraph. Likewise with any of the Hound names, particularly Jager and Venator.
>>
>>25082447
Seraph or Angelus.
>>
>>25082404
So we should: Send the angel out now.

Have the Soldiers guard the entrances

Make sure Hound is locked away where we wont kill anything or dominate him for the moment.

And have Scarlet help us search through magical means.
>>
>>25082447

Seraph and Hunter.
>>
>>25082447
I like Seraph.

Speaking of, we should probably send him out soon. I know talking is a free action and all, but...
>>
>>25082404
Seraph and Hunter
>>
>>25082488
>>25082484
Well if we go for Angelus we should go for Venator as well to match things properly and keep to a Latin theme in this case.

Though given that I don't like the sound of the Latin words for Red/Scarlet we can keep her as Scarlet that unless someone else has a different suggestion which people like more.
>>
>>25082550
We don't have to be thematic if we don't need to. Scarlet is fine.
>>
>>25082343

Maybe we could ask the Dolls for their input on what to name them?
>>
>>25082584
They don't speak, do they?
>>
>>25082550
I think scarlet is perfect.
>>
>>25082594

They could write things down in left over blood.
>>
>>25082573
I know we don't, I just have a bit of an urge to make everything's name match along general thematic lines while keeping them relevant and applicable to the named subjects.

It's a hobby of mine and gives you a good starting point for having names match well so you don't get a group consisting of Venator, Angelus, Gaius, Nex, and Steve.
>>
>>25082573
Agreed.
>>
What does the four-legged beast look like? A boar? A wolf? A guinea pig, perhaps?
>>
>>25082623
We're playing as a loli eldrich horror, the names are going to be appropriate for our tastes, but I don't think we need any thematic cohesion beyond that. Also, I dig Steve. We should remember that for the future.

>>25082639

>>25082479
By the way guys, it's looking like I might have to cut this thread a little short. Half an hour to an hour and a half until I have to go. I'll archive now just in case.

Let's get the naming done and give the dolls new instructions, and then we can leave the quest at the beginning of the hunt for Rose. Sound good?

I'll give some more information on the various creations to chew over, as told to you by Scarlet. (The dolls don't speak. They never do. You might have noticed this before.)

The Tin Soldiers were the doll's practice. They took hobos, bound iron to their skin, and mindraped them until nothing was left in them but the desire to serve. They screwed up more than a few times during the process, and the bodies are mainly a result of that. They are difficult to damage, but have no minds to speak of; they will obey unquestioningly but have the initiative of a brick.

Scarlet was next. She was created by the dolls specifically to help build the angel and Hound, and is a large part of the reason why they have succeeded as well as they did. Speaking with her, you get the impression that she's not entirely happy with being your toy- though she loves her new body far more than she ever liked her old, hobo one, and therefore feels that she owes you a debt.

The Angel was their next creation. The copper-verdigris thorns that wind around his body carry a sorcerous toxin that numbs his body and blanks his mind. Though he has more initiative than the tin soldiers, he can hardly be considered 'bright'; but he can fly, and he's a decent shot with the pistol he carries.

Finally, they turned all their new talent to the task of providing a suitably ironic punishment to the Hunter. The Dog was the result. It is eternally starving, eternally raging, and incredibly difficult to damage or outrun, but it has a brain the size of a walnut and will be distracted easily by food.

Can we do a subtle, long term mental augmentation on Scarlet to make her love being our servant? Not do the full treatment on her, just correct that one mental flaw?
>>
Okay, so, the plan.

First, we heap endless amounts of praise on the dolls. Then, we dominate Venator to stop him trying to murder us. Then I guess we feed him some of those corpse remnants. After that, we'll have the tin soldiers assume posts at key areas, disguised as decorative statues. Then we can change, and take Venator, Scarlet and Seraph to go hunt down Rose and bring her back. Dominating birds to help with that.

Once that's done, we administer a suitable punishment, and begin preparing a gallery of rooms, each unique and styled to match the creation that it houses.

Seems about it, for the moment. Sound good?
>>
>>25082712
She's not a toy!

She's a collectible.
>>
>>25082712
>Our pets.
>Having opinions.

That's fucking hilarious. Seriously though, when do we start mind raping them?
>>
>>25082712
>The Tin Soldiers were the doll's practice. They took hobos, bound iron to their skin, and mindraped them until nothing was left in them but the desire to serve. They screwed up more than a few times during the process, and the bodies are mainly a result of that. They are difficult to damage, but have no minds to speak of; they will obey unquestioningly but have the initiative of a brick.
So we have to outline a strong set of protocols early. "Guard the castle with your life" among them, obviously.

>Scarlet was next. [...] Speaking with her, you get the impression that she's not entirely happy with being your toy- though she loves her new body far more than she ever liked her old, hobo one, and therefore feels that she owes you a debt.
I think Scarlet is going to become a favorite of Isabella's, so we'll have to warm her up to Izzy over time.

>The Dog [...] is eternally starving, eternally raging, and incredibly difficult to damage or outrun, but it has a brain the size of a walnut and will be distracted easily by food.
This just reinforces that our new puppy is our new attack dog, a new method of execution in the castle. People we don't like get thrown to Jager.

I really dislike Venator. Not really sure why, it's a visceral thing. Just letting you know I'm going to keep referring to him as Hunter.
>>
>>25082712
Can the adorable puppy of destruction track via scent? Because if he can he's a shoe in for the rescue mission, even if he's not he'll serve as beyond adequate protection in the forest and he moves faster than we can by a decent bit, the Angel can scout for us along with the birds we commandeer.

We'll Dominate Hunter/Jager/Venator/Fluffy before we go out and in that case we'll be just fine. He doesn't have enough Willpower to resist us at the best of times. And I like the idea of riding atop of him.

How big is he anyways?

So, basic plan of action, dominate the puppy, feed him some spare flesh, and prepare to head out with him and the Angel, tell Scarlet that we will speak with her more once we return over a cup of tea, and find the slattern who has spat at the kind hospitality we provided her. We took her from the streets and gave her shelter, clothing, warm food, and a place to learn more of her craft, and she insulted us. Ungrateful child, ungrateful.
>>
>>25082821
Scarlet is the only remotely "free-thinking" creation in this castle that isn't already human. She's already unique.
>>
>>25082849
As large as two men- big enough for you to ride. You have a feeling the dolls spliced quite a bit of other people's tissue to the Hunter.
>>
>>25082447
Can I suggest, instead of Seraph: Apollyon?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollyon
>>
>>25082849
Seconding Fluffy. I think the name matches his new form very well.
>>
>>25082849
>Dog
>he's a shoe in for the rescue mission
Not really. We've reason to understand he distracts easily and is better suited to mauling things than finding things, unless we have an EXCEPTIONALLY tight leash to keep him on.
>>
>>25082815
They're all collectible.

Hence they get their own themed rooms. They should want to stay here by choice, if they have free will. They're all precious works of art.
>>
>>25082821
Scarlet might be more independent than the others, but she is also very useful and going straight for the "lol mindrape" will reduce her usefulness. We want her to retain her initiative and drive so we'll have to be slower and more careful about it, slowly make her love her mistress and be overjoyed to serve as our lady in waiting, and possibly confidant, adviser, and assistant.

>>25082890
Fluffy was a bit of a joke name.

>>25082873
I've got no personal objections to it.

>>25082892
The tight leash is looking him in the eyes and Dominating him. And if he can track by scent he has a far better chance of finding her than just having some birds fly around.
>>
>>25082892
Indeed. Fluffy would probably devour our servant if he caught her.

If anyone is killing her, it's going to be us.
>>
What really is Scarlet anyway? Blood elemental?
>>
>>25082897
That falls back to >>25082439.
>>
>>25082922
She doesn't know. Only the dolls do, and they're not telling.
>>
>>25082856
Scarlet feels she owes us a debt; we can play on that, and take the slow route. See to her proper education -- literacy and numeracy, for starters -- and while she's learning that, instill actual loyalty.

>>25082890
Thirded. "Fluffy" is perfect -- it's a joke, yes, but it works in-universe as well as out.
>>
>>25082919
That's why we feed him before we go out and give him direct orders to merely find her and not to touch a single hair on her head.
>>
>>25082942
They can read. Hand one of them a pen.
>>
>>25082946
Do you really expect the dog to remember not to break her?

Most normal dogs have to be trained to do that kind of fetching.
>>
>>25082946
Won't work; he doesn't have the sense or willpower to obey complex orders like that.

Fluffy is a sledgehammer. We need a screwdriver.
>>
>>25082917
I know Fluffy was intended as a joke, but I honestly like it. It just fits well and is just demeaning enough for someone who dared to kill us in our own home.
>>
>>25082976
Yeah, I think he should be a method of execution more than anything. If you piss the mistress off enough that she doesn't even care to have you put in the dollhouse, then you get put in a maze with Fluffy.
>>
>>25083051
But Castle already IS a maze.

But a special maze.
>>
>>25082966
The doll you try to get to write merely shakes its head mutely.

(The dolls simply don't communicate beyond gestures and posture. They never have. If they start doing so, then that is probably a massive reason to worry.

This is partially in-character and partly because to get inside the head of one of Isabella's dolls will take many more mental contortions than I can do in an hour.)
>>
>>25083083
Yeah yeah, point still stands.
>>
>>25083083
We don't want him rampaging through the halls. The castle won't like that.
>>
>>25083051
We're gonna nafta make sure Fluffy doesn't eat the servants, aren't we?...
>>
>>25083106
It's a moot point what Scarlet is, anyway. She's bootiful, and that's enough right now.
>>
>>25083051
Also, we might want to start doing things in Ulvenwald, get the tribes there to start worshiping us and providing tribute, Fluffy would provide an excellent show of force should they disobey us.

Also Ulvenwald has monsters in it, can you say great material for fleshwarping?
>>
>>25083142
The forest of Ulvenwald is already a no-man's-land full of who-knows-what. Isabella and the castle serve to only add to the mystique.
>>
>>25083208
Yup, we can pretty much run wild there, we'll just be another creepy thing in the night, we just might be a creepy thing in the night that's personally interested in them and desires their most worthy, beautiful, clever, and strong sent to her. Give it a generation or two and we won't even need to put effort into maintaining it. They miss a shipment we sic Fluffy on them.
>>
>>25083106
Dolls learning to write is dangerous and wrong. Dolls learning to perform sanity rending blood magic is A-OK!

We really do need to re-evaluate our security protocols after we finish... rescuing.... Rose.
>>
>>25083271
>Rescuing

The term is retrieving. If a tool falls off a shelf, you put it back.
>>
>>25083319
Can we hamstring her when we get home? This whole running away thing is getting ridiculous.
>>
>>25083319
But we.... miss her so much. We will.... tenderly embrace her... and..... lavish her with our attentions.
>>
>>25083319
She's one of our beloved servants who got lost in the dark, scary woods all alone.

But seriously, we should really get going.
>>
>>25083409
Exactly! You "rescue" your dinner from the thieving hands that have taken it from you.
>>
>>25083271
We're going to have to scold Rose.

While using our mind-fuckery voice scold her, tell her how ungrateful she was for running after all we did for her, all the opportunities we gave her, how we rescued her from the cold streets and gave her a warm place to sleep and fed her, yet she still ran, ungrateful. We gave her a place to learn more more of the human body, of healing and surgery.

Sure, she might be chained naked to a very cold wall or stone table, and we're alternating between whipping her and licking up her delicious blood, but the real sting should come from us scolding her for her ungrateful, improper, unkind actions where she spat on one of the few acts of kindness she ever received. Forcing her mistress to come out to the woods to rescue her due to her own foolish actions.

After that, and once she apologizes and begs our forgiveness, we can forgive her and have her carried to a soft bed and given delicious foods from countries she has never heard of.

Stockholm syndrome! Carrot and stick, we punish disobedience and reward obedience.
>>
>>25083514
Our method seems more to use progressively larger sticks until they believe the first stick is a carrot.
>>
>>25083541
What do you mean "believe"? The first stick is the carrot.
>>
>>25083541
We're nice to the obedient, look at the dolls, they serve us well and make us pretty gifts and we shower them in affection and love.

And we were kind to Rose. I mean didn't she want to learn more about first aid? How better to learn than to witness pain being caused and healed first hand. She simply was ignorant and didn't understand the kindnesses we offered her and how much better it was than her time on the street.

Simply ungrateful for what we have done for her.
>>
>>25083514
Screw it, let's just beat her until she's too scared to run away again. Your method involves far too much playing with the food.
>>
>>25083620
I don't think we're anywhere near powerful enough to start believing our own propaganda.
>>
>>25083637
Remember that scene from Under the Red Hood where the Joker beats Robin half to death with a crowbar? Something like that.
>>
>>25083637
Where's the fun in that? Anyone can beat a girl until she doesn't walk, even mortal chattel can do it. But to make a girl thank you for hurting her, that's fun, that takes finesse and gives you more amusing end results.

>>25083646
Believing your own propaganda is the first step towards making others believe it, though you have to not believe it at the same time and keep an objective view, double-think is a useful skill.
>>
>>25083704
Yes, but I just don't think Rose is worth spending so much time and effort on.
>>
>>25083637
Here's my suggestion:

She'll be terrified, waiting for the other shoe to drop.
>>

>>25083775
The simplicity is what makes it brilliant. Do it.
>>
>>25083730
It amuses me to spend time on her, we get some blood out of her, and having a girl who knows of surgery and is able to assist in research and patching up wounds gathered by any of our servants or creations could be useful.

You never know when having a surgeon is useful, especially one we can bring in public with us unlike Scarlet and the Dolls.
>>
>>25083782
We could either beat her half to death, or put her in the dollhouse for a spell. Neither of these will involve wasting several hours of time which could be spent tracking down that missing doll, finding our enemies, enacting our plans, etc.

When we have our enemy in our grasp, THEN we can break out the fun stuff. But there's no humour to be found in tormenting cattle when we've probably already done that enough to last several centuries.
>>
>>25083903
That should be our next act after recovering Rose and sending her to her room without dinner: starting to make inroads as to who the vampire who tried to have us killed is. I can't wait to get into vampiric politics.
>>
>>25083830
That's a valid point. If she's obedient due to being broken as opposed to obedient out of fear, it'll be easier to move her around in public without drawing attention.
>>
>>25083830
Or we could use her to make Scarlet more presentable in public.
>>
>>25083955
Scarlet is presentable only in Shadescast and nowhere else.
>>
>>25083955
I'm not entirely sure Scarlet will be amenable to that idea.

OP apparently left, so this is a good time to plan out long term stuff, as time is not an issue.
>>
>>25083986
Unless we raise her masquerade attribute, which would require the use of blood magic and some base material...
>>
>>25083955
How are you planning on doing that? Because it's kind of hard to conceal the fact that the woman covered in a swaying curtain of blood that touches the floor and conceals most of her features is not exactly normal. I can't really think of a way that using Rose would make her more presentable. And don't suggest wearing her flesh, I don't think that'll help the problem, and even if it did there's better options than someone we might have uses for.

>>25083986
Well we could probably take her to Ulvenwald if we wanted to terrify the locals.
>>
>>25083994
Our only immediate important goal is reprisal against the vampire that killed us (i.e. sicced that vampire hunter on us) and stole one of our dolls, assuming it's the same vampire.
>>
>>25084010
She likes her new form, why would we change it?

She can just handle occult matters in the castle.
>>
>>25084010
We could use our magic to create an illusion to artificially boost her masquerade.

Maybe use the magic on a piece of clothing so when she wears it the illusion is that she is normal.
>>
>>25084077
That could work.

I'd rather not risk a random inquisitor seeing through it in a busy evening street, though.
>>
>>25084133
This is assuming we're actually going through the effort of presenting Scarlet out in the open, which I still think is too big of a risk anywhere that doesn't already accept the supernatural. If Scarlet's masquerade fails, we're screwed.
>>
>>25084034
If we gave her some chameleon like abilities, for example allowing her to make her blood-hair indistinguishable from normal red hair, or just boosting her ability to glamor herself, do you think she would be upset?
>>
>>25084278
Too soon to say.
>>
>>25084278
I just don't think it's worth the risk.
>>
We should start thinking of other stuff we want our dolls to make.

Supposedly, we have a lot of people who know some epic rules lawyering and stuff. Surely we can think of some feasible abomination that can do something brokenly awesome.

Trackers/Capturers, focusing on speed, pack tactics, and being able to track down runners as well as harass the runner, slow them down, and either kill or capture them non-lethally, aiming for restricting mobility of the enemies. Probably use a quadruped form as a base, teeth for grabbing onto things and never letting go, and something about hamstringing the enemy.

Assassins, lithe, flexible, quiet, dexterous, hidden weapons, preferably able to pass as human in the right clothing. They might end up fragile, but that's the cost we'll have to pay.

Guards, we're already on the right track with the toy soldiers, loyal, fearless, tough, a greater focus on toughness and weapon usage than raw strength and speed, easy to produce, meant for home defense and possibly massed assaults if needed. Either able to pass as human or be disguised as decoration if they're home defense.

Brutes, fire and forget weapons, big, angry, very angry, fast, and strong, clever planning skills and subtlety not required, Fluffy is a perfect example of this, we point him in a direction and let him rip and tear until it's done.

Scouts, small, both flyers and ground based, fast, quiet, possessing some way to easily give us valuable intel.

Spies, human looking, able to change appearance, voice, mannerisms, meant to blend in and possibly take people's places or at least look unremarkable and go unquestioned wherever they are. Difficult as it requires initiative, fast thinking, difficult to replicate mannerisms, and still maintain utter loyalty. Also modifications might be noticeable by magically savvy folks, long-term project to look into it.

More coming.

>Assassins
>Spies

We should see about enchanting them with an aura or 'nothing to see here' and 'I'm not important'.

>Scouts
We should get some birds/bats and thrall them. See if we can extend the range we can communicate with them.

Juggernauts/Shocktroopers, similar to brutes, but able to be deployed in groups, heavily armored, slower than Brutes, able to coordinate and perform complex strategies, form a spear head for our forces and break through defensive lines. Possibly using heavy weapons such as cannons, rapid fire machine guns, or sticking with things like axes and flails.

Cavalry, very similar to Juggernauts/Brutes, bind men to steeds, centauresque but more variety in animals used as base, possibly bears or some strange murderbeasts from Ulvenwald. Armored, mobile, lances could be cool, gallant on the outside, twisted flesh on the inside. Also possible to have lighter ones with ranged weapons, used as a force for harrying the enemy or pulling mongol tactics and circle strafing them and keeping their distance while attacking from range and different angles, heavy mobility, primarily used in places with space.

Flyers, more flyers, bombers could be interesting, dropping explosives onto people, or used to attack rival airships, send some flyers, have them plant explosives on the gas bags or just cut them open, depends on how well protected they are and how much redundancy and internal separation of gas bags there is.

Regenerators, kinda self-explanatory, able to take a lot of damage and get back up, repair it, could be applied to a number of other categories, especially Brute, generic good enhancement to have, best for front liners.

Others, logistical personnel, things to help collect more biomass from places, may overlap with trackers/capturers, the dolls will do a lot of the work, as will Scarlet and us for this. We'll need things that make armor and weapons for them. We might need field medics for our forces. Leaders of these groups that coordinate them so we don't spread ourself too thin, preferably have the leaders keep in magical communication with each other to ensure fast response time and coordination.

Not much more.

Obviously SPECIAL units like Scarlet, advisers, assistants, the intelligent ones with unique and possibly magical skillsets will be made on a case by case basis instead of a generic "hero unit" template. Personalized, lots more work to make, but pound for pound very effective, scalpels instead of hammers. Have most personality and character. Most lovable.

Since we're going into Airships we could make drop pod capable troops, might end up being hilarious.

May need Tank Destroyer analogues, fast, not the toughest, meant to get into position and take out any very durable enemies. Either extremely out of whack anatomy with a huge arm with a massive spike/sword/pick or built around a heavy weapon.

Could abuse biology to have things that expel concentrated acids, venoms, poison and poison gas, biological warfare. Always a good thing.

Snipers, likely using more modern weapons, focus on killing key targets from distance, could be human base more of less with ocular enhancements and possible muscle enhancements to handle larger rifle.

Humans++, look like normal humans, enhancements minimal, reaction time, toughness, speed, strength, better muscle and bone, but keep appearance. Needed for some operations. Main differentiation between them will be equipment, training, and intelligence. We'll want a lot of these as we can't exactly bring a lot of our creations outside without raising alarm.

Probably missed obvious things, tired, going to bed, if have anything to add, modify, critique feel free. Nighty night.

Possibly, magic is very useful, more expensive per unit, but useful. Not sure of viability due to lack of knowledge of magic in setting. Could work.

Not sure about second, we're not that good with animals, may be used but would prefer to focus on flesh-crafting over improving our creepy Snow White talking to birds skills. Personal preference.

Note to self, get blood samples from all the new servants when have spare time, makes life easier.

For Rose's punishment, she gets sent to her room.

Of course, there's something wrong with her running away, so we need to fix her. So, we start very slowly turning her into part doll. Perhaps remoulding one of her fingers to be porcerlain~? We're only wanting to make her better and help her, aren't we?

-Well, no, we're not, we're just toying with her, but that's the line we're going with until she catches on.

One last thing I forgot to add. Personal guard must look human so we can take anywhere. Concealed weapons inside them so they are armed even if frisked or openly carrying is impolite. Extensive internal mods, minimal external, difficult but worth it.

>>25087799
Advise against that, would prefer to keep looking human, may have uses for surgeon outside of castle. Cerebral enhancements, if possible, enhanced dexterity for her work.

Punishment should involve Voice to get her under our thumb, make her feel guilty for running, for not appreciating opportunities we've given her. Paint her as the bad one and us as kind and caring. Add safeguards against running until control reinforced sufficiently.

Oh my, I love this thread I love this quest I love all you crazy bastards and I especially love the Dolls! Bonefeast for everyone!

Inquiry: Long term goal?
Taking over vampire world?
>>
>>25088115
At the moment, the long term seems simply to be making ourselves more comfortable. More servants, more 'collectibles', more holdings, etc.
As part of that, there might be some world conquest involved, yes. We'll probably decide for sure when we find the fucker who stole our lost Doll.

One thing I want for our spies/assassins; something we /must/ give them.

Self destruct.

Some sort of fire spell designed to go of if they're dead and immolate the body.
Acid bladder that will release on death and dissolve them.
Something else?

All of our covert-ops creations need a built-in way of covering our tracks if they get caught/killed.
>>
Random note, for tracking down Rose it'll probably be worth it go find any hair, blood, or belongings she left behind and to track her using magic using those as a sympathetic connection, or something like that, as randomly searching in the forests seems like it just plain won't work.

Or we put fluffy on a magical leash and let it sniff the trail?
