Sorry, for cutting it so close, work had me work an extra hour, and traffic was worse than I thought.

You honestly are starting to miss Citadel's presence. Mostly because right now, you're really loathing all forms of civilization and humanity.

The crops are suffering, the area around the Citadel Dome has become a wasteland, and that's the simplest of your problems.

You checked in on First Wood, only to find that Mab had pulled a coup. With no army of over a million strong to serve as a deterrent, the more aggressive members of the Fey Court were willing to run wild. Mab's response was to swiftly take over First Wood, with Julian's help, and allowed all the human and loyalist elves to leave with their lives and the majority of their belongings.

So, you travelled on with 2000 refugees in tow. You arrived in White Tree, and found the gates firmly shut. Paladin NIna Toll informed you that White Tree simply didn't have the food or other amenities to be able to host the refugee crowd, and they had to move on.

Some were willing to go to Stone Hall with you, but some tried to head towards Citadel. Worse, some grabbed what arms they could and started to return to First Wood, in a mad attempt to take back their homes.

You were able to route and convince both groups to return with you and complete the journey to Stone Hall, but it's been a miserable, long, slow, experience.

Currently, you've stopped at River's Crossing. Home. The refugees are behaving themselves, mostly staying in their camp, and at least you're able to get a decent night's sleep in your nest-bed in your own home.

Alexander gets a cup and hot water of his own, and starts his own cup. He's obviously trying to keep calm about this, but you can see the excitement bubbling up in him.

"Dad, did you get along with ANY of Uncle Liam's group?" Tricia asks.

"Liam and I got on splendidly." He says. "But...well...you know us druids. We're not that great with crowds...usually." He gestures to his daughter. "But you've always been different."

"Yeah, I met dear Auntie." She snarls. "I understand a lot now." She holds up a hand at his startled face. "Reanimated corpse, we dealt with her."

He drums his fingers on the table, still looking at Soma. "So, do you have a plan, after you take care of these people? Any idea on where to begin with the Citadel 'Egg' as you call it?"
