The ruins of a long since forgotten world, one the soul king took, surround you as you eventually get sick of being behind and sonido ahead of the dark figure. You step out and barely manage to parry a sword blow, the strike heavy and reverberating through your arms as the figure steps back and you see...

The fifth division Lieutenant, the one you caught before near the site of the vault explosion. You get a better look at him now and find yourself a little uneasy. He has black eyes, filled like inky pools of absolute blackness, and white hair tied back in a loose pony tail. He has a western styled sword with a silvery sheen to it, though it is inter-spaced with burn marks. He levels his sword and you glance at the Haori you stole and put in your inventory and note it is also the fifth division. Seems he was following his captain and saw you kick the crap out of her. Well, this is certainly awkward.

You charge him, your speed giving you an edge before slamming down with your sword. He seems slightly surprised, but his sword quickly shoots up and intercepts your blade. You will not have any of that, and deliver a strong kick to his abdomen. He falls back several feel and you charge again, a wild smile on your face. He seems to feel none of it, however, and with a single slash sends a wave of fire cascading over the area. You throw up your mirror and reflect it and resume your charge.

You use your sword for faints mostly, preferring to rely on your hand to hand skill in order to keep this Katsura on his toes. You are surprised when he shows more skill at violence that his captain, but pay it no mind. He is an enemy after all. You manage to sneak a strike under his guard and hear the satisfying sound of his ribs cracking and are about to let out a yell for joy w2hen his arm wraps around your leg and he holds you to him. He sends a flurry of left straights into your face and even though you kick him in the chest to escape, he still gets a few good hits in.

deciding enough is enough, you fire a stream of balas at him, sadly he seems able to take it as he uses his sword to deflect and avoid the blasts and continues charging in. His black eyes seem hungry for something you can not explain and he lunges forward, delivering a tackle which sends you sprawling into the ground. You slam the hilt of your sword into his skull but he ignored it and just picks you up off the ground before performing a suplex on you, making you cough in pain as the wind gets knocked out of your lungs. You are about to complain, but there is no time as the point of his sword nearly stabs into your throat. You roll to avoid it and send a kick at his knee, however he manages to straighten his legs in time and you just kick him in the shin.

You decide to press the attack. You think about who he could be as you crank your gravity up to maximum in an attempt to turn him into a black smudge, however he gives off a white energy similar to go juice and cancels it out, but not before you get a solid kick in. You try to use an illusion of an attack, however you think you see small glowing circles form on his eyes for a moment, then he turns and slams down with his sword. You throw up your arms in a cross block, however his blade is abnormally heavy as it weighs down on you. Your Hiero lets out a loud grinding sound as his blade presses your arms down, and then forces it's way into your collar. You use dream walked to avoid the blade crushing you and send out another stream of balas, however a strong wave of fire seems to nullify them.

"I have seen that already." He states walking forward, pressing on like a juggernaut of some sort.

Fucking hell. You try to sonido away, however he keeps up with you and slashes down with his sword again, this time giving you a good sized cut on your forearms where you tried to block it. You kick at him, and he steps to the side before grabbing your leg and flipping you on your back. You again have to roll out of the way as he slams down with his blade and tried to impale you.

Well, buggery. You think he might be an angel of some sort, but your ingrained paranoia makes it difficult to just come out and say something. Also, he seems to be holding something back as he attacks.

If Soul Society, after "succesfully" repelling all intruders, suddenly has a spate of deaths attributed to the "Captain Killer". I'm more worried about the twincies and the shinigami scrubs we are trying to bring under our wing. The twincies may not be powerful, but they're not stupid either. If we go full released and get heavily damaged, I'd put even money on them realizing that we're a hollow, that we're not really on the up and up, and probably try to take us out when we're relatively weak. I want to avoid that possibility.

You run along the roof tops and perform totally needed flips in the air as you run to the outer ring of the inner district. You see evidence of a battle having taken place as you get closer, likely the twincies trying to keep the battle at a running pace, and even have to spend a few moments trying to catch up to them. You eventually find the pair of them bleeding on the street, Friedhelm having his spirit bow out and Kouta with his sword next to him. Across from him is a man with medium length dark blue hair, and eyes with no pupils which is, you know, creepy. He stands behind the gentle looking woman from before.

"Looks like I have to-" You start but monologue stops you.

Something is fishy here. Super fishy. You grab a Swedish fish and sit to watch the fight for a few moments, Friedhelm's arrows flying freely almost like a machine gun while Kouta uses the opening to charge the woman who blocks the attack. "What do you mean is fishy?" You ask content to humor your monologue.

Pretty sure she was the same person who fought Ran and Ryouichi and they won. Like yesterday, how can she be healed up already? Also, look at the way she is fighting them. It's like she doesn't even want to win, just make them better. It's a what you call it. Training thingy.

You observe and sure enough she remains on the defensive, attacking at a pace Kouta can keep up at and not slicing through the clear openings he makes when he strikes. The captain doesn't seem to notice it but you do.

"Huh. Odd." You comment. What's even more odd is I keep rolling a d13 and... never mind.

You see Kouta take a nasty kick to the stomach and falls back before the woman raises her sword and a strange mist stops the arrows. "Damn it, so unfair!" Kouta complains and you see the woman... uh Natsuki? 'Be my wife natsuki.' Yeah, I think that was it seems a bit troubled.
