[Heavy Blade]: Heavily armored, and weilding suitably heavy two-handed greatswords, the Heavy Blade is a class suited for those who enjoy an offensive role. Much better at blocking an attack than dodging, the Heavy Blade also has little in the way of magic resistance. However, few can rival the sheer damage that a Heavy Blade can do with a well-placed attack. Heavy Blades also have the ability to weild Katanas if they choose, letting them be slightly more agile with the lighter blades. However, katanas can be said to be somewhat rare, and some players covet them as collectors.

[Heavy Axeman]: The hardest hitting, with the greatest defense. Few can do more than scratch a Heavy Axeman in melee. However, this comes at a steep price: Heavy Axemen are the slowest of The World's warriors, and the least accurate with their mighty swings. In addition, while their physical defense is a daunting wall for enemies to overcome, their magical resistance is practically nonexistant.

Right after a loading screen. You'd think in today's highly advanced world, they'd have eliminated these things by now.

The reason why it needed time to load becomes evident the moment the loading screen fades to the game itself. It's absolutely beautiful. The way the buildings are rendered, the clouds in the sky- it all looks so lifelike. The streets of Mac Anu look quite busy, with characters of all types and appearances going here and there, some in a rush, others leisurely taking their time.

Snapping out of your wonderment for two seconds, you begin experimenting with the buttons on your controller, bringing up menus, moving around a little. It all seems simple enough, and the range of what you can do is pretty impressive given the standard controller layout.

In front of you sprawls the virtual city of Mac Anu. And behind you, the steady slow drone of the chaos gate, turning in place. Well, to start off with...

You come to a large bridge that seems to act as a major crossroads, located roughly around the middle of town. Even the water effects are really well done without lagging your connection, with a reflection and everything. You catch a glimpse of the tail end of a gondola drifting under the bridge... looks like they really thought of everything.

Nearby, as opposed to most of the players that seem to be coming and going, are two players having a conversation. One of them, the more heavily armored of the two, seems fairly fired up about whatever he's talking about.

As the timer for logging out ticks down, you realize the armored girl has walked up to you, with the biggest shit-eating grin on her face. It's obvious she's trying very hard not to flat out laugh right in your face, and nearly failing at that. As you frantically search for the right button to cancel the log-out, she begins to say something- but, it's cut off by a familiar loading screen.

You find yourself back at the Log In screen for The World. For a moment you consider logging back in... but, she'd probably still be there, ready to laugh her ass off at you.

You take off your HMD, and resolve to start fresh tomorrow. As for tonight... maybe you'll read the game manual before you hit the sack.
