Within the Lavender Spire, it is like a whole other world.

Incense spills across the floor of the room, creeping across like ghastly little fingers.
The lighting is dim, cast from candles of eerie blue flame that surround the circular room, a light above each urn that marks the memorial of a ranger that had died.

Within this place, everyone is quiet, silent as not to disturb others. Upon this floor, there is one miko that seems to attend to all the markers, dusting them off and shining the urns. Upon seeing you and Bruise enter, her face curls up into a creepy smile suddenly, brightening almost from your presence.
"First ones to enter here after the finish of the ranger test's conclusion. You have that obvious look about you. Which was the one that was your friend?
The Celadon, the Cerulean, or perhaps the Pewter?" Her robes whisk across the haze upon the floor, giving her the appearance of nearly floating with her dance-like movement. You see Bruise tense from the corner of your eye as the miko gets exceedingly close.

"You two, you are clean. Yes? Yessss." She draws out into a subtle hiss of air.

as a danger level beyond S, so that implies that the Elite Four are a group intended to deal with Legendaries. People speculated that Red is some kind of fucked up Ranger monstrosity, but it could honestly be anything at this point. Wait and see is all I can say.

Bruise seems to think about it for a moment, closing his eyes in thought.
"I am no longer one of them. Though I respect them. I would like to say goodbye to Caiss on my own."
Opening his eyes, Bruise seems to resolve that.
The miko looks to you, her eyes dreamy, almost far away now," Would you like... to watch?" Her eyes shift to Bruise," Would you.. Mind her watching?"

Yet you follow the two up the spiral-round stairs, again and again. Floor after floor. Upon each one you pass, you see someone tending to the plates, lighting incense to maintain that ephemeral fog like lilac, lavender, and violets.
None of the other women look upon you as you pass, though the entire time you feel watched. The empty rooms seem to drink up sound as every step that would echo, is instead a hollow thud.

Even the whispers of the other sparse mourners here, civilians mostly seem to have their words fall into the deafening fog that pervades this place. Yet among the eerie silent effect, you can almost hear whispers, many and profound ringing in the back of your school, unsettling you further.
Bruise seems to be in the same boat, his back visibly shaking, yet the miko seems to not be alarmed as you three make the walk.

After what seems an endless amount of stares, you arrive upon a floor with what appear to be curtains draped all around, partitioning off many small sections of the floor before the round to the next set of stairs.

So just to make getting the implants later a little less of a clusterfuck i am going to organize my/the thoughts a bit.

Assuming we don't roll 90+ and get whatever it is that Prof wants for us, then i think most have consented to Remoraids. mainly for the SUPER accuracy in not being able to miss within 300ft. So:

2 New Remoraid Guns (1 on each Wrist)
1 Remoraid Gun (Replace our mouth gun)
Cells on our knees for future Anchoring abilities
Gills on our neck
Dorsal fin on our back (Allows for added maneuverability in water and allows for suction)
Anything else?

Then again we may change our mind in the spur of the moment like /tg/ is so fond of doing.

As the two of you sit before her, she stretches her hand out of her kimono,and swings it across the both of you, the curtain closing itself and the three of you alone in this dimly lit room.

"Now, we may begin." Her eyes glint with a surreal pulse, shortly before she locks them closed.

"Speak the name of the deceased. So long as their last moments or body is near, they call come forth."
Bruise seems uncertain now at the strange and eerie power before him, yet despite himself he steels his heart against such influences and speaks,"Caiss of Pewter."

The flames grow with a ravenous fire, splitting apart and tracing around the miko in a ring of fire as a shadow from behind her seems to grow despite the illumination.

As it rises up, you see a mask that appears to be a human face, a young boy, slip around before her face and drive home as she's forced back by the recoil.
Seemingly in pain, she clutches at her face as you hear a rampant cackle erupting from the woman that soon changes to the sobs of a young boy.

In moments, you no longer see the priestess before you, but a young boy with a harsh brow and stony arms and shoulders. His face is kind, and plain, though he seems surprised by what had just occurred.

You frown at Bruise's face, that utterance alone seems to have gotten under his skin.

Caiss doesn't seem all that sad, as he scratches his cheek," Yeah, I guess they did. I'm a pewter after all, you know? We're the lowest even as rangers."
The boy smiles, "I'm glad I at least got to see you again Bruise. We were friends right?"

Bruise brings a hand to his face as he tucks his eyes away into his palm, tears streaming down despite that.

He shakes his head,"No, you shouldn't be here. You should still be with us."

Caiss frowns,"But I can't be, this woman is telling me that. I need to go after the others say goodbye."

Caiss holds out one of his stony fists to Bruise,"It was really good that you came to see me, catch you later. Or well, I guess I hope not for a while."

Bruise looks up at his lost friend, tears staining his gray skin as he looks at the literal ghost of his dead friend. With a slow nod, he returns the gesture with a fistbump.

"I'll miss you Caiss."
"I'll miss you two Bruise, keeping training hard without me."
"Goodbye."

At that last word, the form recedes back into the mask that turns back into a still face. The shadow bearing it recedes, and upon the air you hear the echo of "Goodbye" from the child."
