The system:
http://pastebin.com/e3q4q0MP

Basic rules still apply: Roll d20: Highest dice roll out of the first three rolls is used for the Dice Check (DC), while all three rolls are averaged to determine other internal factors, if applicable. Natural 20’s and Critical Failures (1) supersede all other rolls made.

Roll d100: d100’s are used for different factors, the most applicable of which will be listed at the call for the roll. High is always better.

Rolling for Time: When asked to roll for time, the first roll response will be used, with additional rolls used as necessary. This is the only time low rolls are desired.

NewType powers, since they are plot breaking, will be based on a point system.
For every natural 20 you roll, you'll get .5 NTP. If you roll an 11 on a d20, it will be worth .25 of a NTP. Double rolls on a D100 will also garner .25 NTP.

You can exchange 1 NTP for an automatic critical success / plot breaking idea. You can also exchange 1 NTP to reduce an opposing main character's plot armor by 1/4 or 1/2 on any actions you take against them - the amount reduced will be situational, and depend on what you're planning on doing.

-----------------------------

Current NTP Tally:

Bright Noah (Casval Rem Daikun) Now has 10.5 NTP!
Char Aznable has 13.5 NTP!
Amuro Ray has 3.5 NTP!

Gihren Zabi has 1.5 NTP!
Garma Zabi has 2 NTP!
Kycillia Zabi has 1.5 NTP!
Dozle Zabi has 1.5 NTP!
Sleggar Law has 2 NTP!
Sayla Mass has 2 NTP!

South Burning has 2.5 NTP!
Cima Garhou has 2 NTP!

> [X] Search for the 'Oni-chan' girl. (Roll 1d20, and provide location)

Bright flipped up the display for the console built into the armrest of the Captain's chair, and quickly typed 'Sayla Mass' into the 'Nero II's connection to the Side Seven registry. The computer chugged along for a few minutes before displaying two results: an address for Blade 3, and a number for a landline. Oddly, there was no email address or cell phone number listed. Checking the medical personnel database yielded nothing; accredited doctors were listed individually, but the nursing and EMT staff lists were not open for scrutiny from outside sources. He did find the address of Side Seven General Hospital, on Blade 1, and sent it to his tablet.

Frowning, Bright appointed the communications operator Officer On Watch, with orders to contact him once the S7 work crews arrived. With that done, Bright headed down to engineering, keeping an eye out for any short-haired blondes. And while Bright didn't find the woman he was looking for, he did find Lannie and Coralie goading the some of the Slammer's into fixing the stricken engine.

"No, no ya daft bastard - that's after going on the left. Have you no common sense, lad?" Coralie chided one of Lannie's boys as the Lieutenant nodded in agreement. They made room for Bright to join them in supervising the work. "Come to see how the other half lives, have ye, Lieutenant?" Coralie asked with her usual cheer.

"Not so much - nice work earlier, by the way, " Bright said.

"Ach, think nothing of it. That clip I was carryin'? Miss Janet handed it to me, said ta 'be convincin'," Coralie said softly. "Glad I did a fair job, though. How can we help ya?"

"Either of you know where that girl who nailed Lannie with her kit bag got off to?"

"Now, there's after an interestin' bint, there is," Lannie said with a scowl. "Hit and run, soon as I took my eyes off 'er. Haven't seen 'er since the wounded were bein' tended too, sir. Still have half a mind to smack her right good."

"I see," Bright said. "I take it the emergency medical technicians have all left?"

"Haven't seen any down here for a good ten minutes or so, ser," Coralie replied. "Best bet would be to check with the boarding watch. They'd know for sure."

Bright nodded. "I'll head down there and ask."

"Someone caught your fancy, eh? And here I thought you were after being sweet on Miss Janet," Lannie said.

"I am a billionaire playboy, even if I was drafted into the military," Bright said with a wry smile, "As such, it is my civic... No, my patriotic duty, to play the field. Help replace the losses, and all that."

"You're a what, now?" Coralie asked, arching a single eyebrow at Bright.

Lannie held up a hand. "This is after a conversation that canea end well for anyone," he said sagely. "You best be goin', sir, before she asks after a stipend to raise yer brats."

"Lannie!" she said after delivering another good wallop on the Lieutenant's arm. "I wasnea! Just a few million, is all!"

Lannnie gestured with his palms out in a manner that said 'and there you have it' before turning one hand and motioning towards the door.

Bright took the cue and left, stopping by the boarding bay on his way back to the bridge. The commandos stationed there reported the majority of the EMT's had disembarked, with two remaining in the Med Bay to assist with the injuries deemed too minor to require hospitalization.

As Bright left towards the Medical Bay, his eTab rang, and he took the call. "Mass, go ahead."

"Bridge, sir - we received a call from the Side Seven salvage team. Apparently they've been delayed for thirty minutes, something about their project lead not wanting to be bothered, and then deciding they couldn't leave without him."

"Understood. Any other updates?"

"Just a message from the captain, sir - forwarding it to your tablet now."

His tablet made another chime indicating a file was received, and he ended the call.

The message read: 'Ed, you made the right call: the drinks are terrible, the barmaster is a gossip, and I think I'm being hit on by a Nun. Currently drinking something blue with sparkles in, and playing cards with a local who's tossing money around like it's free. Send someone over here, would you? Might need a fast evac. -Sharp'

[X] Ask Jane
[X] Ask Lannie to send some Slammer's

Bright fiddled with his eTab until he managed to convince it to place a for way call. Coralie and Lannie picked up using her eTab, and bright kept them waiting until Jane joined the call.

"The Captain's requested some backup for a possible fast evac from the bar Anderson sent him to, some card shark's tossing money around like it's free."

"I'm all over that scene, Lieutenant!" Lannie chirped happily.

"No, you're not. Lannie, send some of your men down to pick up Jane, and she'll evaluate the situation from there."

"Ach, C'mon boss! You're not trusting this face of mine?"

"Your face is one thing," Bright said sternly, "Your ability to not start a bar fight once you've got some liquor in you is another."

"He has you comin' and goin'," Coralie said, an audible smirk in her tone. Lannie's answer was more of that unintelligible Irish baroque.

"So, what's the situation?" Jane asked over it.

"Brutus is drinking in a bar, in uniform, and both a woman of the cloth and a man of means are fawning over him like the choicest cut of beef in the butcher's. That's ringing some alarm bells," Bright said.

"Right. I'm on it," Jane said before signing off.

Bright closed the connection with Coralie and slipped the eTab back into his pocket before bracing himself for the worst and toggling the door control to the Med Bay.

A few of his crew were lounging in or on beds, wrists, ankles, and fingers tapes for relief against various sprains and aches. All of them grinning like idiots at the two young ladies in white and red.

The nearer of which was the blonde from earlier. She looked up from her task of wrapping another fellow's elbow and froze, her grip tightening on the roll of tape. Her eyes darted to Bright's collar and his nameplate before she relaxed a bit, smiled shyly, and said "I'll be with you in a moment, Lieutenant."

Bright took the opportunity to look her nameplate over as well, the thin strip of plastic declaring her be S. Mass. "No real hurry," Bright said as calmly as he could manage. "I'd just like to have you sign off on an incident report, concerning the accident with your bag in the boarding hall, earlier."

She stopped again, looking concerned. "I'm not in any trouble, am I?"

"Nothing serious, I assure you."

Sayla returned to her task as the other EMT approached, and asked if Bright needed any medical assistance. He waived her away, stating he was fit for duty.

Sayla finished the man's elbow wrap, gave him some brief instructions, and then walked over to where Bright was waiting. "I'm all yours, sir," she said with another small smile.

Bright fought the urge to smile back, and motioned her to follow.

I'd save the CIC for when we don't have someone who is EFF aligned with us... mostly to be more productive about our 'information gathering', not having to worry about the company seeing what we are doing.....

living on an still under-construction Colony is like, How she is getting on with being a nurse... How often she has to deal with those kinds of injuries... Her views on the war....

"Do you see these types of injuries often, here on the colony?" Bright asked as he made his way towards the officer's lounge.

"More or less. The most common affliction tends to be malnutrition," she said grimly. "Our supplement supply is fairly vast, but without regular shipments there would be problems."

"That due to the incomplete nature of the colony?" Bright asked her as he caught the lift.

"Are you from Earth?" Sayla asked in reply.

"Originally... yes. I've spent my time in the service going where they send me, though," Bright said. "Are you from Earth?"

She glanced at him sharply, asking "Do I have to answer that?"

"Just curious, is all," Bright said.

She nodded. "A colony's soil takes a generation or two to stabilize. Powdered asteroids and chemical cocktails to improve growth and yield only do so much. It takes years of compost, ash, and refined waste and sewage products introduced into the soil before it can provide nutritionally complete food. Until then, the colonies need to receive shipments from Earth to survive."

"Can't say that's anything I've given much thought to, miss."

"Not many have. But's proper nutrition is a key element in space medicine, so I've been studying up."

The lift doors opened, and Bright led the way down the corridor to the left. "Sounds like you're tying to become a doctor."

"I am," she replied as she entered the officer's lounge after Bright.

He looked around and finding no one inside, replied:

> [X] You've always had lofty goals, Sayla.

She seemed to twitch at the mention of her first name, but little else. "So, I'm supposed to sign something?" she asked as she turned back to Bright.

"It's just a formality, really," Bright said, as he pulled out his eTab and brought the relevant forms up. He filled out one section using the stylus, and handed it to her. She frowned as she read the information over, and he asked, "So, why a Doctor?"

"To find someone I love," she said quietly. "Historically speaking, the only people allowed to cross military lines have been medical professionals. Doctors also have access to the records of the deceased, in most cases."

"You think the person you're looking for is in Zeon held territory?" Bright asked.

"I've been to every country on Earth, and every colony in the Earth Sphere held by the EFF," She said, holding the tablet out to Bright. A tear welled in the corner of her left eye and she moved to wipe it away before continuing. "That means the person I'm looking for is either in Zeon, Riah, Mars, or Jupiter. I have traveled through one hundred and ninety six Countries, five Sides, and the four Lunar cities in the past six years, Lieutenant. I've been asking myself, 'what's four more'?"

"Might be four too many," Bright said quietly as he took the tablet back from her.

"'Might be four too many', he says," she quoted him in a bitter tone, pulling her arms around herself. "Of course, all this time I've spent looking, I never gave any thought as to what to say when I found him, or how to make sure he knew it was me."

"Maybe he will, without you needing to say any more than you have," Bright said, obliquely pointing up to the camera above his head. "Maybe the person you're looking for has their own set of circumstances, and won't be free to divulge anything either. Maybe they're on a time limit, and need to settle their own accounts before they can find you again."

She nodded, once, seeming to get the hint he was trying to make. "Side Seven General, I work sixteen hundred to twenty four hundred, so I can take classes in the morning. I'm free on Saturday," She said, approaching him. She pulled him down by his lapels and kissed him briefly, before whispering "If you don't call me, I swear I'll do something we'll both regret."

"If I don't call you, it's because I'm dead. Keep your head down," Bright whispered back, as he pulled sharply on her nameplate. It came away from her lapel easily, and she frowned.

"Knows?" she asked softly.

"Suspects. I'm dealing with it," he replied. "But I think that will be all, Miss. I'll assign you an escort off ship."

"I'd appreciate that, Lieutenant."

Bright exited the Officer's Lounge first, and gestured back to the elevator. Once inside, Sayla made to ask another question, but Bright held up a hand, forestalling her. She shifted uncomfortably, but held her piece.

Once the doors opened, he assigned one of the commandos milling about to show Sayla out, and headed toward the CIC. Once inside, Bright quickly accessed the video footage of the Officer's Lounge and attempted to make his presence there, if not unknown, at least benign.

Working through the security logs, Bright immediately noticed the system was in the process of making of making a backup of the footage he was trying to edit. So he did the next best thing - he removed the audio from the file.

Now it was simply footage showing two people discussing something before coming close and departing. The kiss had been brief enough that the cameras 7 frames per second had missed the majority of it. It would have to do. He closed the file as his eTablet went off. He quietly freaked out for a minute before the device came free of his pocket, revealing the call was from the Bridge.

"Mass, go ahead."

"Sir, I think you need to see this," the communications officer stated in flat tone.

Bright closed the call and ran for a lift rail, depressing the emergency button and zipping towards the bridge. Had something happened to Mohai? Had the Zudah come free and crashed into something?

Was Jean on fire? Again?

The lift rail slowed to a stop and Bright let go, kicking off the wall twice to come sailing in through the open doorway. "What? What's going on?"

The comm man pointed out the window, at a loss for words, as the lights from the hangar seemed to dim. Bright followed the man's outstretched arm and looked out the observation window.

It was a Zeppelin. Bright's mind took a moment to consider that as the great aircraft gracefully settled next to the stricken Salamis. "Okay, it is now official," Bright said as he sat down in the Captain's seat and pulled his hat down over his eyes, "Today can not get any weirder."

The comm tech nodded as he went back to his control board and hailed the craft. "Nero to unknown, err... Dirigible? State your identification and business, over."

"This is Tem Ray, with the 'Spirit of Innovation'," a sharp voice called out, buffeted by the wind, "And I'm here to collect your damaged Zudah, sir. Yes, I am indeed."

----------------------------------------
MEANWHILE, ON SOLOMON
----------------------------------------

Dozle Zabi stood, arms crossed over his chest and tapping his foot to a tune playing in his head as the boarding ramp from the recently docked 'Marauder' connected to the platform he was on. The 'Marauder' was usually stationed at Granada, but had been tasked to ferry the ZIRCON interrogation specialist Dozle had requested to interview the captured EFSF Captain, Brutus Sharp. The thought of the EFSF Captain brought a scowl to his face, as the man had handily escaped Solomon not three hours before.

A ferromagnetic shape-memory alloy combat knife masquerading as a 'medical bracelet' - that was a new one. Security footage had shown the man pulling the end off one side, using the blade to pry a neodymium magnet out of his boot, and then applying it to a depression in the haft to straighten the blade.

It was a twisted sort of genius, Dozle supposed. As a precaution, he had ordered all other medical bracelets removed from the EFF prisoners until they had been proven benign. It was Yet Another Security Operations Procedure.

A Boson's whistle sounded, bringing Dozle back to the present, and the officer on watch announced, "The Lady Zabi and Lieutenant Mallory of ZIRCON, disembarking sir."

Dozle pursed his lips, and began to voice the question of why his sister, Kycilia, had bothered to come herself when a very welcome voice snapped "I'll have none of that Lord and Lady nonsense, thank you. 'Naliss Zabi' is perfectly fine," she said, stopping before the poor fellow and pointing at him.

"Yes Ma'am," the officer said nervously, staring down at the woman's hand as if it were a loaded pistol.

Naliss shook her head as she descended the ramp, and stopped before her step-son with a hands on hips pose as she eyed him critically. Dozle returned the favor, raising a rugged eyebrow at the slender woman. "Fraternizing with the men, Mother? Why, whatever will Father think?"

"That I'm here to see my grand daughter, you big lug. Zena is keeping you well fed, I see," Naliss replied coolly.

"Chemically constituted corn bread and beef-flavored meat substitute, just like the Jupiter Mining Corporation used to make," Dozle returned. "It doesn't touch what your cooking, but a man makes do with what he has."

Another man descended the boarding ramp, dressed in a blue intelligence issue uniform with a lieutenant's cape, followed by a small retinue of staff sergeants and warrant officers. They came to a halt before Dozle and offered a crisp salute.

"Excuse me, mother," Dozle said with a wan smile. "Duty calls. At ease, Lieutenant."

"Lieutenant Leon Mallory, and supporting staff, arriving as you requested sir," the short blonde man said, a tinge of something coloring his tone. "If you would have someone show me to this VIP, I'll get started right away."

Dozle held up a hand to stop the man. "I'm afraid the VIP has flown the coup. We still have his executive officer, though, and the command staff. I'd like you to spend your efforts on them."

The smaller man stared up at Dozle for a long moment before finally sighing, removing his round framed glasses, and grinding the heel of his palm into his forehead in frustration. "Do I even want to know, sir?"

"He had a FSMA combat knife. Used a magnet in his shoe to straighten it and killed his guard to make an escape," Dozle said.

The ZIRCON man blinked, whistled, and put his glasses back on. "I'll want to review your footage. Dog tags?"

"Medical bracelet," Dozle replied.

"Well. That's a new one," Mallory said. "May I?"

Dozle gestured with his head, prompting the door guard to step forward, salute both men, and show Mallory to the detention block. Dozle turned back to his step mother with a grim expression. "Now that that's out of the way, let's see you to the girls, shall we?"

Naliss accepted Dozle's arm as they walked the halls of Solomon together.

>Need to call it here, folks. I wanted to get more done, but that's life.
>Thanks for joining me in my silly game of Giant Robots! Until next time!
