“I’d watch out. That thing can cause hallucinations.” you shake your head from side to side, righting yourself up. Mami looks to the monster then nods.

“Then we’ll finish it fast.” she smiles as she raises a hand.

Your legs move so fast your mind has a hard time catching up. The end of the fight was already near. No opportunity to show off surfaced. The monster could cause hallucinogenic reactions just from the contact of its skin. What could you, a dual wielding swordsman, do against something that threatening?

One black sword appears in your right hand. A white in the other. The Soul Gem at your neck blasts with a yellow light. Small threads tie themselves around the hilts of both swords. “You’re up!” the swords rip through the air from the strength of the throw. Instead of spinning like they used to - they advance toward the enemy straight on.

The two swords separate from one another and start to dance around the colossal meat monster. They make quite a few round trips until the beast is unable to move. It screeches in protest but it cannot get free.

“Tiro-” a large cannon materializes in front of Mami. Large metal legs dig into the ground to support the weight of the massive weapon. “Finale!” a yellow pillar of light escapes the barrel of the magical gun. The blast pierces through the bound monster. Mami’s attack completely overtakes the enemy.

The familiar clink of the Grief Seed on the ground is proof enough of your new victory.

“Yes, we can.” Mami finishes purifying her Soul Gem before tossing it toward you.
The Grief Seed hovers over the white Soul Gem before pulling the taint from it. “Kyubey.” you holler for the white rat.

“Faust, Mami. Good job defeating the witch.” his compliment means absolutely nothing to you. Well - Mami’s usual comments have weight to them since they’re from someone you actually like. The furball? Not so much. The Grief Seed falls from your hand down to the ground where the Incubator catches it. He tosses it into the compartment on his back to ‘devour’ it, so to speak.

“Faust-san?” Mami looks to you as she stands there at the other end of the alley, ready to go home. “Are you okay?” it seems like she’s going to be asking that a lot.

Morning comes the instant you fall asleep. Getting dressed and cleaned up in the bathroom is easy enough. Breakfast is already out when you exit the bathroom. “Pancakes, Mami?” you sit down on one of the many colorful cushions that decorate the living room.

“I would have made eggs, but I was just in the mood.”

In the infinite possibilities that she could endure - she would eventually turn into a witch. After all, every human being, every magical girl has their limit.

Near the end of the first iteration of Magia, Mami and Kyouko are dead and the fight against Walpurgisnacht is in full swing. Suddenly TIME PARADOX, and we pick up a Kyouko, Mami, meguca Madoka and Moemura from Timeline 3, that is, right after they fight Sayaka's witch, but before Mami snaps and kills Kyouko before being killed by Madoka.
Faust manages to talk them out of despairing, and they join the group.
