Like a comet's tail, my sword leaves a trail of light as I swing it down at the assassin in front of me. Unimpressed by my light show, he tries to block my attack with a knife just like the last guy did, but my glowing blade goes right through his knife......and right through his entire body as well. With a massive shower of blood that would even make Gregory proud, the newly bisected assassin's remains fall to the ground. Seemingly trying to use the blood spray as cover, another assassin charges at me from the side and slashes at my face... but I see him coming, sidestepping away just in time to avoid his blade and countering with a sword slash of my own.Running clean through his midsection, I soon find that I've cut a second of these bastards in half. And as relieved as I am to have dispatched another threat, I find myself concerned that Elena really doesn't need to be seeing stuff like this.As the four remaining assassins back away in fear of being the next one to get split in two, I glance down at my sword. And as I expected, about two-thirds of my sword's coating is now floating in the air.
