You decide to just relax in the tub in your clothes.

"Who cares? We're already soaked." You lean back into the tub. Robin steps out, causing her wet clothes to ling tightly. She grabs the wine, then crawls back in. Her wet clothes billow out in the water,

"Whaaaat~? I'm*hic* baaad now, remem*hic*remember?" She smiles devilishly. You're not sure if you're impressed, excited, or terrified. Robin takes out her Eevee and starts playing with him in the water. Eevee doesn't mind the tub and excitedly plays back.

Robin is just apparently full of fun ideas. She slides over to Vance's lap and wrap her arms around his neck.

Vance turns red and protests, but doesn't physically stop her. "Woah, Robin. Maybe you-" To both his and your relief, she takes off his cape then goes back to her spot and puts it on.

Robin giggles. "Look at me! I'm Vance!" She starts doing karate chops into the tub. You and Vance laugh.

She takes off the cape and hands it back to Vance. It's your turn now as she sits on your lap. She puts your arm up and takes off your shirt, leaving you in your bra. Somewhere in the back of your mind you think you should at least pretend to put up a fight, but you quickly silence that thought when you see Robin take off her shirt and put on yours.

"Aren't you going to do an impression of me?" you ask.

She smiles widely. "I juuust took off your shirt for no reason~. I *hic* already did."

Vance laughs even harder. He and Robin high five and make loud 'OOOH' noises. Robin slides back into the tub and leans back, very proud of herself. Jeez, get a couple of drinks into them and they really loosen up. Whether she meant that you strip her a lot or just don't mind taking off clothes, you have to admit she got you pretty good.

You lean over to Vance, grab the bottle from his hand and take a couple of chugs. You slip in the tub and lean against him before getting your balance back. "Lose the pants." You say before taking another swig. He complies and you help him pull the last leg out under the water. Awww, Robin looks nervous.

You take off your own pants, probably a little slower and with more flare than is needed. You put your entire lower body into one of Vance's pant legs. He must get these custom tailored somewhere. "Look at me! I'm Vance's right leg!" You fall over. It's obvious how much everyone's been drinking, because that's probably the only reason Vance and Robin laugh as hard as they do. You get back up and put both legs on correctly, and hold them up by the waist. You start stroking your non-existent beard and nodding, getting you more laughs. Vance tries to put on a face that says he’s not impressed, but then you mimic that face too and he and Robin crack up again.

“OK, you got me.” Vance admits. He throws his hand up in defeat.

You’re not done yet. You fake wrestle Robin as if she were an Ursaring. She flails into the tub laughing. “NooooOOoo!”

"Darn right I did!" You start crawling out of the tub. "Come on big guy. You're turn. Do us!"

Vance and Robin are crawling out of the tub too, grabbing towels. "Alright, umm..." He takes another quick drink, working up some courage. "I need something of yours I guess."

Without hesitating, you take off your bra and hand it to him. You stifle a laugh as he takes it. Robin's eyes are as wide as saucers.

Vance tries to put it on, but it won't fit around him. He just puts it on has a hat instead. He stammers. "I-uh..." he coughs, then closes his eyes in search of his inner actor. "I'm Kat! Do this! Do that!"

"Boo!" Robin is unimpressed with his weak performance.

Vance gets a sly smile. "Alright, fine!" He walks over to Robin and starts undoing her (technically your) shirt. "Come on," his voice is a high falsetto, "lets shower, then shower some more. Robin, I need you in the shower right now!" You and Robin laugh. She really gets over being shy after a few drinks.

You're getting it pretty bad tonight, but you take it in good humor.

You get an idea. "Vance! Do your sister now."

"Ewwww," Vance says "that's not cool Kat." His voice trails off as he clearly tries to avoid continually staring at your chest.

"Impersonate her!" You yell.

More laughs follow. Vance sits down and goes into a meditative pose. "I'm the most boring person on the planet. I know everything except how to not be a robot. Everyone thinks I'm amazing anyway!" He tries to make a gesture that mimic's brainwaves coming from his head to yours and Robins. "She's psychic," he explains, "she barely deems anyone worthy of actually talking to, she makes her assistant do that."

Ah. Well, that's good to know, but not really all that funny. You dry off and wave goodnight to everyone as you head to your room. The others do the same. You're strongly tempted to go to the Pokemon center first, but you're also really eager to get the gym battle underway. You head towards the Aquapolis gym with Robin leading the way.

The gym is a fairly plain looking building compared to the luxurious hotels, spa's, and shops around the downtown area. As you enter, you see that the inside is filled with various pools and swimmers, there's a distinct separate area for battling that looks like what Robin described. Rotating machines circle the central platform, spewing a layer of water that gets between the trainer and platform about half the time. It might also make good cover.

Vance puts his hand on yours and Robin's shoulders. "You two have got this. Don't worry." Those are nice words to hear, but you're still nervous. Maybe your first badge was just a fluke?

Robin turns to you. She looks as confident as you feel. "Do you want to go first, or should I?"

You see who can only be Brook, the leader, in the far side of the gym. He's walking this way.

You answer her question by stepping in front to greet him first. "Brook? My name is Kat. I'm from Novum and I'm here to challenge you to a gym battle."

He knocks his sunglasses down a little to look you over. "That's what the fan-girls always use as an excuse." You're about to say something but he puts his fingers on your lips. "Shh, shh. It's alright, I'll indulge you." He looks back to a referee across the battle area. The referee nods, but his face is exasperated. "He's jealous." Brook turns around to head to his side.

You decide to choke down your insults for now. Robin looks like she was going to say something, but he turned around before she could get anything out and the moment passed. Vance has the look of a man that was about to dive for cover.

"Good luck," Vance and Robin head to the observation area. There are a few other people here watching too. You sigh and mentally prepare yourself.

The referee prepares a flag and starts announcing from his side of the room. "This will be a three on three single battle. Only the challenger may switch Pokemon." That's nice and simple, just like the grass gym. The waterfall machine passes by your vision.

Brook tosses his Pokeball up into the air, catches it, then tosses it out. It's the Wooper that Robin mentioned. "You challengers are always predictable. You brought an electric or grass type, didn't you?"

That's right. Woopers are part part ground. Electric attacks won't work. You're glad you studied. Still, the little blue Pokemon looks pretty harmless. Cute even.

You mentally go over your options. Who will you toss out?

Brook shouts out his attack. "Wooper! Ice Beam! Let's go!"

At the same time, you shout yours. "Raistlin! Energy Ball, now!"

Raistlin is faster. Green energy gathers into a ball in front of him, then fires off at the poor Wooper. You and Raistlin were the only ones expecting that. It's not the most powerful one you've seen him do, butn it gets the job done. The Ice Beam Wooper was preparing sputters out as Wooper is cleanly knocked out in the first attack.

The small group of people cheer. You can hear Vance and Robin as the loudest voices.

The scorboard shows a red X by Brooks name as the referee waves a flag. "Wooper is unable to battle."

"Wooper! Return." Brook smiles. "Unpredictable. I like that. Your raw power won't beat my speed though. Buizel! Show them what this gym is all about!"

A small ferret, looking Pokemon emerges as he tosses his Pokeball. Instead of landing on the platform, it dives into the water.

"Trust me, your Abra doesn't stand a chance in this matchup," Brook yells to you.

You have a split second where you can switch out before the water blocks you from Raistlin. You won't be able switch for a few precious seconds after this with the water in front of you.

As your Pokeball beam just barely connects with Raistlin, the Buizel chases after him at amazing speed. Just as the light flashes round Raistlin's body, it connects in a small dark hit. You see Raistlin begin to faint as he's returned.

"Just as I predicted." Brook gloats. Buizel sticks it's tongue out at you as it lands.

"I'm sorry Raistlin" You apologize to your Pokeball, containing the knocked out Pokemon. "You did well." You remind yourself that this sort of thing happens in Pokemon battles, and Raistlin did really well.

"Zappy Dan! It's your turn!" The reflective Magnemite casually takes in his surroundings and situation.

He's had a lot of training. Dan has never let you down.

The waterfall passes in front of you, obscuring your vision. You can still make out both Pokemon on the platform though.

"Buizel! Aqua jet then dive for cover!" Buizel surrounds itself in water and fires into Zappy Dan. It's a direct hit, but Dan doesn't seem like it hurt him too much.

You can always depend on Dan's ability to take a hit. He can dish it out too. "Thunderbolt! Give it your all!" Zappy Dan tries to keep a lock on the Buizel that flies passed. As Buizel dives passed the cover of the waterfall, the Thunderbolt connects. Buizel is hit, but a lot of the blow was mitigated by Buizels ability to use the falling water as cover.

"You can probably see my strategy now. We can't compete in a head on fight, but Buizel and I will wear you down."

You're not so sure about that. Dan's strengthened his defense. Buizel seemed to take the worst of it. Still, if you repeat that a few times it will take a lot out of each Pokemon.

Brook stares at you, but commands his Pokemon. "Buizel! Keep it up with Aqua Jet! Wear them down!" He's watching to see what you'll do.

It's a tough choice. You have a lot of different ideas. As Buizel comes prepares for another pass, you settle on a plan. "Zappy Dan! Thunderbolt on the water!"

Buizel bounces off Zappy Dan again, and instead of trying to follow the Buizel, Dan fires directly into water when Buizel will land. It's not a direct hit, but it hurt.

"Choosing attrition, are we? I should have known you wouldn't have any more surprise strategies." Is he trying to taunt you into an action like he did with Raistlin?

Zappy Dan and Buizel are starting to show exhaustion, but Dan is doing better.

The water passes by, blocking Dan from your line of sight.

The Buizel bounces off Dan. Zappy Dan is winning this exchange, but it's still taking a toll.

Buizel is diving in and out of the water, and not able to hear Brooks commands until after he surfaces, buying you a second of extra time. Before Brook can come up with a new strategy, Dan dives into the water and you can just barely make out a disruptive wave billowing out from him. He pops back up, hovering his way back to the platform.

Buizel flops onto the platform too. It's facing the wrong direction, preparing it's next attack. Brook hesitates for a second, deciding to how to handle this.

"Buizel! Whirl Pool, then dive back into the water!" You don't know that move, but it doesn't matter. Buizel starts spinning around trying to gather water in a circle around Zappy Dan. Before Buizel can finish, he spins out and hits the platform right in front of Zappy Dan. Zappy Dan's expression barely changes from total apathy to just mostly apathy. One thing is certain, it is not the face of mercy.

The thunderbolt fires at point blank sending Buizel flying backwards. He skips across the water and slams into the wall passed Brook.

The referee wastes no time. "Buizel is unable to battle!" Another red X appears next to Brooks image on the board.

"Good job buddy. Take a rest." Brook returns his Pokemon. "I may have underestimated you. How many badges have you earned so far?"

"One," you reply. You can't find any reason to lie about it.

Brook considers that for a moment. "Don't think you'll get your second one soon, Slowking! I choose you!" He throws a Pokeball and a purple, silly looking Pokemon with a shell for a crown appears. "I see I've been going too easy on you. Slowking and I won't lose without a fight!"

"Dan! Use Thunderwave!"

Both moves connect at the same time. Zappy Dan was probably faster by a hair, but it doesn't make a difference under the circumstances.

Small bands of electricity wrap around Slowking's body, and Zappy Dan's eye spins a little as he tries to keep focus.

"Smart move, not trying to confuse Slowking here. He's immune to that sort of trick thanks to his ability." It doesn't sound like a compliment, even if it probably is. He's probably being a little too proud of his Pokemon and showing off.

You're proud of your Pokemon too, but not dumb enough to announce it's ability. To be fair, you're not entirely sure what it is. It doesn't matter now though. Dan is tired and confused, and the waterfall prevents you from switching right now.
