You run towards an intersection before the light changes from green to red. You'd normally jaywalk but theres too much traffic at this time in the morning to do it. Right when you're about to turn you hear someone yell out in surprise somewhere to your right. Your eyes dart in that direction and you meet eye to eye with someone with very familiar pink eyes and pink hair. Horror dawns when on you in the split second before you both ram into each other at full speed.

Next thing you know know you're on your back on the sidewalk glaring at the clouds go past and trying to suppress the urge to choke Momoko with her own backpack. You look to the side and the the light has indeed turned red and Momoko is starting to stand up. You glare at her, "Look where you're going you idiot." You blurt out

"You should look before going past an intersection." She says with a some irritation in her voice but still offers you her hand to help you stand up. You take it and dust yourself off before looking at the red light.

You don't even have to ask her, you know she was trying to do the same thing you were doing right now and this stoplight is infamous for taking unnaturally long. "We're going to be late." You state as a matter of factly.

"Thats alright, today is the big day anyways." She sighs in relief and looks at the ridiculously large castle your school houses itself in.

"Yeah." You say, "Knowing our luck my dad's minions are going to launch an all out attack sometime today.

"Lets hope not."

She clenches her fist and you see the fire in her eyes, she seems confident she can win. "And you're going to help us! Right?"

She was always nice to us, but back when we were under Dad's influence we were catty as hell and actively trying to ruin her day even when we were nominally working together. That's a stressful situation, and she needed a safe zone.

We've been significantly less catty since we became a seal guardian, and our energy gauge no longer fills us with a desire to murder her. I'd imagine that before she was always just a little worried that we wouldn't respond to her feelings, and now she's able to fully accept us.

The light turns green and both of you hurry to school. You don't need too much practice because as long as you hold a sword in your hands you know you'll be able to use it like you should. However you're still going to have a hard time when some people don't play with the same rules you do, like Marcus and Matilda.

You get to your room just in time as you hear the teacher say "Masako Ishikuno" during roll call and with a loud and tired "PRESENT!" you sit down in your seat and loosen your shirt's collar, that was a close one.

"We'll bring her to school when she's better." Aomi intercepts the question, maybe she's feeling left out. Its gonna be hard explaining to people how she got a uniform but you probably can say that you lent her one of yours so she wouldn't stand out too much. Force to act like a shy girl and all that.

You begin taking a sip from your peach juice.

The two of them smile and then glance at each before nodding and looking serious. "Just one more thing." The first one says, "We were the only ones that seemed to be able to hear her speak, and it sounded all weird...like in our heads."

Damn she's nervous, she probably didn't expect normal people to be able to hear her and if they are able to hear her they might have heard something more important.

Damnit you need to think of something to ah thats right time to act a bit like Momoko, "Well maybe you were reading her mind! You know psychic powers and all that stuff! You should try finding out what other people are thinking! You know, with the holding up cards and all that!" Haha you got them! They seem to have some doubt in her eyes, or are they worried because you two are sounding a little bit crazy. No way!
