Sorry about the super late start, everyone, but dinner went way longer than planned! Anyways, I'll run this as long as I can, though I'll probably run another thread on Tuesday to make up for it.Twitter: https://twitter.com/MercCommandArchive:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Cyberpunk%20Idol%20Management%20QuestPast Quests:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Valkyrian%20Mercs%20Questhttp://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Pararescue%20Witcheshttp://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Magical%20Girl%20Hunter%20QuestROSTER AND STATS: http://pastebin.com/SAMhh7azLOADOUTS: http://pastebin.com/h9eAwLMKFACILITIES: http://pastebin.com/fKbxZ13vINFLUENCE: http://pastebin.com/Ytf7vs7UYou are the PRODUCER, a former soldier hired to manage a group of teenage girls on their rise to stardom, assuming they don't get killed in the process!Currently, you're on the Tonight Show with Rin, who is busy being interviewed by the host. She's now responding to a question regarding the other idols of your company."Well, they all do have their quirks." Rin smiles. "Rochelle is into the weirdest things, like retro games and movies, Julie could have very well been a police officer if she wanted to, and Cole may seem like a nasty, mean girl but she's actually super sweet inside! You should've seen her face when she had ice cream for the first time!"(cont)
>>30865036"Whoa, wait, you mean to tell me she's only had ice cream just recently?" Falon leans forward in surprise."I know, right? I was surprised too!""We're talking about the same Cole here that beat up an entire football team almost singlehandedly?""The same!" Rin giggles. "Well, the more you know!" Falon chuckles. "And oh, look at the time! Next up, we'll see all the girls from Clover Entertainment when they perform!""All right, commercial break!" One of the stagehands yells and a timer starts up. "Three minutes!"Falon's holographic image then winks out as stage hands rush forward to set up the small stage. You see your idols safe and sound take position at the rear while Rin moves up front and center. Meanwhile you can see DeRosa among the audience glowering at you. What a dickbutt."Thirty seconds!">Stay backstage to observe the girls.>Move to the audience stands to confront DeRosa.>Other

>>30865094Wait, derp, it's late and I'm not thinking straight.
We should really get a large bulletin board for central area of the office so we can post pictures from the very beginning leading all the way to the present day. We could have photos of our roster, things that the staff or the girls did on and off-screen (i.e. training, hanging out), magazine clippings, staff parties (hopefully something humorous), etc. If this were the ending to a show, most of the pictures would be static while the some would be animated to show brief, but important events such as: Producer entering Delta City for the first time, meeting the girls, combat missions, performances, meeting new cast members, or dramatic moments; while the camera would pan from the oldest to the most recent photos as a recap of what happened in the Quest, and as slow piano music would play in the background.
>>30865043>Stay Backstage to observe the girlsIf the other girls try to attack in front of the camera, they'll be screwed by our girls and the public. Also, we got our first recurring enemy. Hooray!

>>30865043Well, you suppose you should be flattered that you now have your own rival of sorts. However, you feel that he wouldn't try anything on national television, so you opt to stay backstage to observe your girls. "Okay, we're recording in three... two... one!"Falon's hologram rematerializes and he plasters on a fake smile. "Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Clover Entertainment!"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQl6giOohnIYou can't help but grin at the lyrics "No Brand Girls". >>30865479And, something happens. You can't quite seem to describe it, but Rin really seemed to be in the zone today. Her movements were fluid and natural, her voice hit every note perfectly, and she seemed to have this serene look on her face that seemed to show that what she was doing was perfectly natural to her. Near the end of the song, she does a spin that causes both her hair and her skirt to flutter in the air, captivating you and the audience even further. By the time the performance was over, everybody almost seemed to forget that they were recording a TV show. This job would cross that line.Rochelle killed a person who was just as armed as she was, Julie had her whole thing as being the cop of the Tombs, and Cole basically just scared everyone off.

>>30866675How is that at all preferable? You don't think Zenith is trying to scam their way into killing all of De Rosa's girls? The fuck.
>>30866559>>DealThis isn't a bad idea.We don't have to attack their idols directly - we just have to bust up their base and/or assets to make them reconsider branching out there.and our riot girl + police doggy makes assaulting/breaching+clearing and nonlethal takedowns possibleI think we could pull it off. This is a MAJOR opportunity to make a friend in the Big Leagues.and turning him DOWN may make him an enemy again.
>>30866681Everyone in...uh. Neo-Future-Wherever-We-Are is shades of bad or grey. There's no "good," people in the city.If you think we're any exception: We just had teenagers kill a warehouse full of people because someone with money asked us to in return for cash.Quit prechin', preacher.
>>30866706But that's the thing, they AREN'T in the big leagues.
>>30866698>>30866702Yes, I say we do our research on both idol groups first. I want to try to play both groups against each other and then backstab DeRosa when convenient.
>>30866728they're bigger than us, so that makes them big time.District 2 is pretty big.
>>30866681We don't have to kill them--we just have to--and I'm paraphrasing here--take them out of the game permanently. While straight-up killing is good, unless we had the right tools--like, I don't know, a massive railgun that could launch HE shells from 4 miles away at hitscan speeds--is incredibly finicky and very complicated if you want to do it clean and you want to do it right. We just need to arrange for a few...accidents to occur. Whether that be a broken leg during practicing a routine or a careless forklift driver smashing someone's kneecap or hot grease splashing on someone's body is up in the air. With our background, I'm sure we can get pretty creative in engineering a few...accidents.
>>30866706>>30866691Counternegotiate - show our savvy off."Sounds an awful lot like you want me to do your heavy lifting for you, and scope out MY idols combat skills.""I'd want to see your idols in action. My counter offer is a teamup - "(remind me - did he say something about not being able to act overtly against zenith?)Keep in mind that he has excellent combat idols, and using this favor to secure OUR district from rival companies - whom we have JUST earned the attention of - is gonna be crucial to avoiding getting our shit stomped in.Clover has survived by being under the radar - and having an on-call favor to defend our territory is gonna let us keep up that off-the-road charm.

>>30866756They're the top one in district 2 IIRC
>>30866756He is big but not hugeBig enough to cause us lots of troubles anyway
>>30866740We don't have to be that drastic. Idol groups work on their reputation. We just have to engineer a few disastrous performances, spread a few rumors, have a couple proxy attacks by rabid fanbases.
>>30866559Other - ask Boss.>>30866743SKY PIRATES ASSEMBLE!!!!!!
>>30866740We don't actually have to kill them, tho. He just wants zenith's operations suspended in district 2 - when attacking a company, its about damaging assets and timetables and monetary budgets. We wouldn't have to kill anyone - and that may make us a giant target for retribution anyway - but doing something simple like pulling the firealarm in their building, then leveling it with the railgun may do the trick.we're in D2 anyway, so this is kind of a threat to US also.>>30866767Point to bring up - but we could verify that with an internet search, since he's an established idoleer.
>>30866767Would someone really do that? Just go out in the entertainment business world and tell lies? Inconceivable, impossible, downright absurd.
>>30866559"Sorry, but I'm afraid I can't accept. At least right now." You shrug. "It's something that I'd have to pass by my boss.""My my, I never took you to be so spineless, Producer." DeRosa chuckles. "Men like us are hired for the sole reason of making judgement calls. Otherwise, what's the point? Bah, I'm not even interested anymore. Perhaps we'll see each other again, or maybe not."DeRosa then gives a mirthful smile and wave before disappearing down the stairwell. You were half expecting to get ambushed, but nothing happened. You guess there was a least some honor between producers."So what happened?" Jenner asks once you return to the van."Nothing really." You sigh. "Just another idol company trying to put their feelers into us.""Ah, I see." Jenner nods. "Rose Entertainment?""How do you know?""DeRosa is one of the more memorable figures in the business." Jenner shrugs. "I'll tell you about it if we have the time."With that, the drive back to the office is a rather uneventful one. You make a few calls ahead to a few late night restaurants that are willing to deliver. You suspect the girls were going to go through a LOT of food tonight."So, you think we can hire some extra staff?""Possibly. Maybe even another idol." Jenner nods. "I'll get the details sorted out once we get back to the office."No sooner than she says that when the van pulls into the parking garage. The girls immediately pile out and rush upstairs, kidnapping a surprised Falynn along the way. Jenner makes her way to your office, presumably to take care of the work. >>30866815You decide to go check on what Lillith is doing. Walking over, you see her tapping away at her computer. You give a light knock on her door to let you know you're there."Oh, Producer, I didn't notice you were there." Lillith says."Am I intruding?" You ask."Not at all, please come in." >>30867028I actually agree hereA doc will be important not just for when our girls are hurt but for keeping them in top shape for performances as well, it should be our next priority
>>30866973>>Ask her what she's doing.>>Ask her about Rochelle. Both seem important.I'm worried about Rochelle
>>30867028I see no issue with that as that's on the top of the list.
>>30867028Actually with a major company bearing down on us, a hacker will be more important quickly. We need to fortify our base.
>>30867082Fortifying pur base is no use of our girls are hurt / deadHacker is definitely second but doc is first
>>30867082Actually, if I remember correctly, Falynn earlier offered to add an electronic warfare module to K-Zwolf. I wonder how much would that cost?
>>30867101Hurt dead only comes in if we get a combat mission.A normal idolling mission should be safe. A doc is a reactive cure, a hacker is preventive. Say someone hacks into our base, finds out our mission itenary and decides to crash it.
>>30867153Yeah, I agree with this.
>>30866973"What exactly have you been doing all this time?" You ask."Oh, just catching up with some old friends of mine." Lillith shrugs. "A few other ex-Idols that I used to work with. We like to keep in touch every now and then. Keeps us sane.""Ah." You nod. You remember Lillith didn't particularly enjoy her time as an idol. "Anyways, how's Rochelle been doing? She's been pretty shaken up after her first mission and I recommended she talk to you.""And I'm glad you did." Lillith nods. "It's typical PTSD. Killing another human being is not something Rochelle has been accustomed to. However, she's dealing with it rather well, I suspect due to her semi-military background.""I see." You nod. "Anything serious?""She just needs positive reinforcement that what she's doing is right, or for a good cause. Otherwise she'll begin to question herself and her purpose.""I see...""But, considering you're her Producer, I don't foresee any serious problems." Lillith grins. I wish I had a producer as nice as you back when I was an idol. Maybe things would have turned out differently.""Maybe." You nod. "Anyways, I should be going." >>30867990ew, no.
>>30867944>>Other"Maybe. That girl with the cybernetic arm from the Tombs interests me but if you have a few other candidates on file, I'd like to see them as well."
>>30867997We can televise it and plaster Hyperion and Marcus logos everywhere
>>30867997Rather send our very own street kids to go looking for potentials, in the slums and tombs. They been around and should know local talent and rumor.>>30867990
>>30868007And by "death tournament" we mean "bikini mud wrestling".
>>30867997What if we simply create an obstacle course? Or hell, we've still got buddies from our time in the service, right? What if we ask if we could borrow some of their training facilities for a day?
>>30868014Yeah no.
>>30868013Actually, this is a pretty good idea. Get more scary tomb girls on our security.
>>30868007Why not have Marcus as a color commentator alongside some Hyperion spokeshole and having both shill out their services and products?
>>30868030I really like this idea but I would say wait until our company is well established.
>>30868025C'mon, it'll get us ALL the publicity. And monetary problems too, probably.
>>30868015Yeah, and televise it. American Idol meets live-fire combat drill. Have the audience vote, then rig the vote so whoever we want to pick wins. All of it sponsored by Hyperion.
>>30868006Tomb Cybernetics girl really, really, really interests me. Like how she got them and how she ended up there.
>>30868027Thats not secure. Thats an invitation to loot and scavenge. We should see if any of our idols have any friends that are idol materialThere's also our contacts in the football team/school/cole's fanboy gangs.
>>30868044If she could sing as well as kick ass, well you know the public would eat up any sob story she has in that regard.
>>30867944"No, not really." You shake your head. "You have any ideas?""A few, actually." Jenner says.>SNIPER>TECHNICIAN>DEMOGIRL>CYBORG
>>30868069>>DEMOGIRLExplosions? Fuck yeah.
>>30868069>CYBORG
>>30868069>DEMOGIRLTINY TINA IS GO
>>30868063I can see it now; "The Girl with an arm of Steel and a heart of Gold."
>>30868069>DEMOGIRLWHAT CAN WE BLOW UP?
>>30868069>SNIPERA dedicated sniper would be nice to have for over watch.
>>30868069>Technician
>>30868069>Cyborg (hoping it is tombs, cybernetics girl)
>>30868069>TECHNICIAN>CYBORGEither of these are fine.
>>30868069"Lets hear em. Give us the basics."I don't care about your tomb cyberneticsgirl when there are SO MANY OTHER options.Like The Major. Or Raiden. You just KNOW we want booby raiden now. And Herr Doctor as our, well, doktor.>>30868075Fuck this loli invasion gearbox fanwank.>>30868069I wanna hear the ideas/personell files first. However: Cyborg or Technician. We're going fairly techheavy now, what with our gear, robodog, and falyn - its an edge we can develop.
>>30868069Can we get some sample profiles from each category?Failing that, cyborg.
>>30868099>>30868102 Mah niggas!>>30868069Tech or cyber
>>30868069>>CYBORG>DEMOGIRLbut I would like a profile for each one
>>30868102>Fuck this loli invasion gearbox fanwank.Oh come on. What did you expect?
>>30868069>>SNIPERWe have 2 fronts, a center. And backliner would round out our team.
>>30868127That is..... kind of frighteningly good logicRin is noncombat tho. What we need is a Lead from the Front inspiring/warrior type, though - some of our 'combat' idols aren't of the combat MENTALITY - we need someone who can kick ass, and keep our girls in the game.Sargeant mao, our old army buddy...
>>30868102Also the Producer is augumented, so we can use that shared experience to foster loyalty.>>30868127I could go for a cyborg sniper with eye augs that can compensate for wind and enable accurate fire with an antitank rifle from a moving helicopter, like Saito from Section 9.
>>30868156I've got one phrase i'm just gonna leave here. Spoilers, because its too damn beautiful. Fuchikoma Idol.
>>30868151Two of the girls are a bit over-eager in combat in their own way. Rochelle is actually sane compared to them.
>>30868156But when are we going to use something like that? If recall Idol vs Idol missions tend toward no lethal take down.
>>30868151Of course rin is non-combat.I meant rochelle is our combat center.
>>30868156>I could go for a cyborg sniper with eye augs that can compensate for wind and enable accurate fire with an antitank rifle from a moving helicopter, like Saito from Section 9.You know, this has always been Cyberpunk Idol quest, but we haven't had a lot of Cyber to put in our punks.I really wanna see some more deetails on Jenner's Suggestions before deciding, but......Cyborg's got my vote>>30868171>over-eager in combatSounds like another good reason for a leader type! sometimes, you need restraint.
>>30868167>Fuchikoma Idol.Fucking Lol
>>30868183I was suggesting Rochelle is the best candidate for a field leader. Still, an officer or NCO type idol is going to be hard to come by.
>>30868069"You know, I think a combat cyborg could really help round out our team." You say."Well, the problem is that there really aren't that many teenaged cyborgs, and even fewer interested in the idol business." Jenner points out."Well, what about that girl with the augmetic arm and leg we saw last time in the Tombs? Maybe we can try recruiting her?""Well, that would involve having to go BACK to the Tombs." Jenner frowns. "After the first time, I'm not looking forward to going back.">It'll be worth it.>On second thought, yeah, it's probably too dangerous.>Other
>>30868199>On second thought, yeah, it's probably too dangerous.
>>30868199>It'll be worth it.We have idols with experience in the tombs, we'll be fine.
>>30868199>>It'll be worth it.
>>30868199>>OtherWe can ask cole and julie how she is first.
>>30868199"Do you have any other potentials on file? Let's have a look at them first."
>>30868199"While its dangerous, I think we could make an excursion out of us. Our girls need more combat experience - and a trip with nonlethal solutions to get Rochelle's head back in the game - may do us some good
>>30868199>It'll be worth it.>OtherWe'll bring the combat idols with us. Say hi to old friends, or enemies.
>>30868199>>It'll be worth it.Let's pile up into the van, everyone!By the way, we really should upgrade this thing. Can't we just grab a milsurp Humvee from Marc's catalog?
>>30868199>It'll be worth it.If it ain't broke don't fix it.
>>30868199>It'll be worth it.

>>30868227The milsup vehicle is a trap. With our idol numbers, we're better off getting the armoured suv. Seats 8, armoured and looks normal.
>>30868236>M-ATV>Vehicle Armor>Vehicle EngineIf we do want to choose upgrades, I wanna pimp my ride.
>>30868266>I wanna pimp my ride.>>30868245has a point about getting a better ride first.Make a battle limo happen. Its got room for a full team inside by default!
>>30868266So you wanna be a player?
>>30868245We can just paint our hummer in cheerful idol colors to look "normal".

>>30868285Who is literally one-of-a-kind.
>>30868297Get shep a sniper and that can be fixed.
>>30868293>Show off the whole pastebin instead:>http://pastebin.com/Jqs7RtTPI didn't know where it was, since its not linked in OP
>>30868323Could have clt-f "pastebin"
>>30868293>>30868323Shouldn't this list be expanded now that Marcus got his shipment back?
>>30868328Truth, and anothe reason not to blow our money
>>30868328Probably but I dont think his shipment comes with more vehicles though, which is what we're discussing.
>>30868199"Come on, it'll be worth it!" You grin. "Besides, we got Julie and Cole to help us out, now. They know the area, and at the very least, can intimidate everybody else into not bothering use.""True..." Jenner sighs. "But let's put that off till the morning. Now our performance Idol...">PRINCESS: Well mannered and regal. >>30868348Hmm, selecting our performance idol. Rin is good, but we need to go for a theme here. So far, Cole is the most popular of our group, appealing to the delinquent masses. We need a performance that can play off her, so I say:>BAD GIRL

>>30868478You forgot gang warfare.
>>30868478Which is why all three choices are not very good and we should go for Punk like the others suggested.
