It's not overly tacky, but they do look like extras from The Matrix, save the old school guy.

"Kali. Do you have anything to do with this?" One of the women growls.

"No. I was just in Shibuya when they found them. I thought I'd just ask or thrall it back." She says.

"Always thinking of yourself first." One of the men mutters.

You see Sachiko try to be unnoticed on the train. Also that might have been movement behind one of the stairwells of the station.

"Like you would have done any different." Kali says. "Anyway, I don't recommend fighting. This is a Ghostbuster."

There's sounds of laughter and scoffing. "What? Those con artists? THAT'S who found our belongings?"

"Mortal, give us what is Ours and we can avoid any hostility tonight." One of the men says. It's funny, you see his eyes flare at you and your head feels funny, but it's not anywhere near as strong as Kali's thrall was. Maybe she's just better at it...or you're getting better. Either way. You shake it off and look at them.

"That was totally awesome!" Star says as she and Sachiko join you.

"I...I...I think I need liquor." Sachiko says. "And to never, ever, let my bow out of my sight."

Akira takes a step towards the counting vampires.

"Akira." You say. "They're not trying to attack us. Also, Kali's okay."

He hoists his wand, pointing at Wei Mao. "The other ones were Miss Apex's flunkies. Even if they surrender and we let them go, who's to say they won't suck some other human dry? They feed on humans, no getting around that, and no looking past that."

"We feed on animals." Star says. "Plus we don't harm quiet ones. You know the rules."

"They aren't quiet." Akira says.

"There's been no rash of people sucked dry." Sato says.

An hour later, and you're handing Kali back her stocking, along with the others. None of you have taken off your packs, but the vamps don't lunge for your necks instantly...so there's hope at least.

Sachiko took a bottle from your kitchen and went back to her home to watch soaps with Yumi and get wasted.

Akira is not happy about any of this. Or with you. He mutters a few things under his breath and goes to his room in the factory and slams the door.

"He'll get over it." Star says. "Maybe you and he will need to have a fight. You know, punch each other in the face and then you can bond properly and create a perfect woman while wearing bras on your head."

"The sad thing is that's actually a possibility in our work." Sato says. "The bra thing at least, not the woman part."

The vampires are glad to be free, and happy to leave Japan. Wei Mao wants to go back to China, and the two other vampires are willing to follow him. They're sick of Japan, they're sick of being bound here, and they don't want to screw with ordinary humans who can dust three vamps with ease.

"So," Kali says. "Here's what I got on the Gentlemen's Club." She drops her phone on the table. "They move around, but when they called us in to take orders, I took photos with that. Also recordings, I got names when they did roll call, or minutes, or whatever nonsense it was."

"That's it?" You ask. "Some photos and names?"

Wei Mao starts to say a few things in old Chinese.

Kali's eyebrows go up, and she responds. "Huh. You may actually have a bit more than that. You have an I-Ching board?"

The vampires follow Sato and Star. You're about to follow them, but you pause. Curiosity has gotten the better of you. You pick up Kali's phone and start scanning through the pictures.

It's a regular cult revival, apparently. Pictures of people in robes, wearing masks, chanting around idols and altars. Then social hour with punch and cookies. That's when the masks come off.

You frown, there's no one you openly recognize. Well...that one guy could be a member of the Diet, but you aren't sure. There's at least two women in the group though. That's interesting. Though there's no clue if any of these people have any interest in Italian Opera.
