You wake up just in time to avoid the tiny kick aimed for your face, using the movement to roll out of bed into a ready position. You have just enough time to congratulate yourself on how smooth you're getting at avoiding Tear's awakening methods before you lose your footing by stepping on Louie's sleeping face on the floor beside the bed. You tumble to the floor amid Louie's pained cries.

On the up-side, both of you are now wide awake, and the day is yours, to do with as you please.

The glorious sunshine beaming through the front windows of the store makes you feel like this is far too beautiful a day to be spent indoors. The three of you finish up a hearty cooked breakfast before you tell Louie to get ready for adventuring while you clean up. Tear flutters about doing... something in the front of the store.

You finish the dishes in time to meet Louie coming down the stairs with his gear, and together you leave the store. A little way down the road, Louie catches your attention.
"Hey, Recette? Did you think any more about going legitimate with the dungeon stuff yet?" He looks hopeful.

"Only if you're willing to do two dungeon crawls a week; One 'legitimate' and one off of the books.
We need to make money, and we aren't going to make it by having our best stuff flitched be the Guild and the Church."
>>
>>31664552
Actually, that may be a good idea. Might get us some new contacts and such, you know.
>>
>>31664511
You haven't spoken to the guild yet, so you don't know the exact numbers.

What Tear has told you is that there will be a sign-up fee, as well as a charge for using the Guild's facilities to enter the dungeons. There is also a toll on all items you bring into the city.
Magical items are generally considered heretical, and will more than likely be seized as contraband by the Church if you attempt to bring them in.
>>
>>31664417

>Go talk to the Adventurer's Guild?

Pretty much what this guy said:
>>31664552

We're not going to go completely legit, there's just so much money in illegal dungeon-diving. But we do need to attain a fair amount of goods legally so that the Guild Master won't have to call the authorities on us if someone leans on him.

We should also get around to buying that bed for Louie.

>>31664552

You know, the two crawls a week thing can be good. Louie naturally kind of looks and sounds like a wimp (no offense yo) so we can make him look like a really shitty dungeon diver with a hopelessly naive little girl sponsor who happens to be his friend.

We're actually abusing guild protection to murder everything in the dungeon risk free, pay a small fee, and then sneak in later when everything's dead to pick up the loot free of charge.

And then we profit. Oh, do we ever profit.
>>
>>31664587
It's not heresy if you don't follow the Church, hehehe,
What was the benefits of the guild again? Immortality shields for adventurers?
>>
>>31664627
Dungeons reset when we leave by the AI the spawns them and our "way" into the dungeons is risky and costly.
>>
>>31664606
That's an even better idea there.
>>
>>31664627
Nigga Louie is a strong as hell fighter. His first special move is GOAT. Only two fighters better than him are the two fighters you get at the very end of the game.
>>
>>31664664

Okay, revised plan. We do exactly that and then have a second adventurer come in and snatch all the loot, leaving through the illegal path again. We build a reputation, we safely illegal dungeon-dive, pay a fraction of the cost of what you normally would for it, but still keep the incredible profit margins of illicit dungeon diving.
>>
>>31664717
Anon please. If you're talking about the vidya everybody knows Charme is the uncontested champion of everything.
>>
>>31664717

I said looks and sounds, not actually is. He lends well to an act we could put on. Too weak to get the treasure, strong enough to make it out alive.
>>
>>31664717

Well, naturally Louie can become a powerful patron deity of mild-mannered and honest murderhobos if he trains hard enough in the dungeon. But he still looks kinda lanky, scruffy, and in need of a sandwich.
>>
So, uh. We want to get Louie signed up with the Adventurer's Guild?
Bearing in mind Charme is already a licensed adventurer. (Though you'd still need to convince her to join whatever plan you're plotting)
>>
>>31664881
Only if they're not going to put some kind of tracker on him that makes him useless for illegal runs. Gotta have those magic items, even if it means horrible pain and death for some adventurer. After all, if something happens we can always just get a new one and put the old one on hiatus.
>>
>>31664881
If Louie gets signed up, does that mean we can't convince him to do it the shady way anymore?
>>
>>31664417
>>Go the back way as usual?
>>
>>31664881
I vote not. Louie's officially our bouncer/bodyguard. If we need legit stock we'll dive with Charme.
>>
>>31664881

I guess we should at least get some information about the Adventurer's Guild regulations/rules and go over them with a fine-toothed comb. Maybe we can even ask Charme about what the Adventurer's Guild does off-the-books; if Charme had to resort to petty thievery despite being a legit adventurer, then there might be some absurd membership fees or stuff involved.

>>

>and where are WE getting the equipment?
We, uh, run an item shop. We BOUGHT them.
>>
>>31669343
It will be a hard sell if we have equipment with plusses or enchantments. You can only get average unenchanted equipment from regular suppliers, so either we buy them off other shops, or we're somehow getting into dungeons.

If you're still adamant about that, I guess this won't be a problem either unless someone decides to investigate, in which case we can silence them. Still sounds like too much trouble compared to having a front that is legit.

I dunno, though. We gotta toss Louie a bone every now and then, or he may leave us sooner or later. Even if we do want him to be a really cheap lackey/bodyguard for us, we need to make it worth his while. Friendship/sympathy can only go so far in stringing someone along like this.
>>
>>31669493
If we're discovered, it's just going to lead to further issues with Terme. It may slow us down a little, but we must not inbdebt ourselves to him anymore than we already are forced to. I say get the license.
>>
I'll be here waiting for you, my love. Come back to me, I need to read your words so so much.

This is a bump
>>
Okay! So we're asking Charme about the liscence, but taking the back door for now?

Let me grab a drink and I'll get writing.
>>
>>31664417
You look Louie in the eye and tell him honestly, "I don't think we should for now, Louie. I'll ask Charme about it when she comes by next, but it seems like the Guild will just bring more problems than it'll solve."

Louie looks crestfallen, but accepts the decree. "Y-yeah, I guess you're right. I guess I just hoped that-"

"That what," Tear butts in, "that you would no longer have to risk your life in order to repay the favor Recette did you by taking you in and putting a roof over your head and food in your belly? I believe there is a saying, Louie, that beggars cannot be choosers. Which I think fits the situation, seeing as you were literally begging when we found you."

Louie goes silent, staring at his feet for the rest of the walk.

You once again arrive at the back alley door, and Tear knocks her secret pattern on the door. The shutter slides back. "Good morning, Jonathon. How is little Alice? She seemed to be having a lot of fun down by the stream yesterday."

"Threats really aren't necessary every time, Miss Terme."

"Oh, but I feel they are," Tear replies smoothly, "for they remind a man of his position in life."

The terse response ignored the comment. "Where are you going?"

>>31677506
>The wilderness? You've not been there yet.
>>
>Wilderness
Also explain to louie that we simply cannot afford to go legit. He's heard the debt we owe. We're not even playing even with the interest right now. We're not in a much better position than he is and we need to work together and make the most of what little we have if we both want to have any chance of getting anywhere.

We obviously want to see him die as much as he does himself but I'm pretty sure, or at least I hope, that he wouldn't want to see our cute ass stuffed with multiple dicks in order to pay off that debt either. Our life is just as much at risk as he is. I want him to realise that.
>>

>The wilderness? You've not been there yet.
>>31677577

>>31677602
Boooooo.
>>
>>31677506
"The wilderness, please," you say at the shutter. The shutter slams shut, the mechanism turns, and the door swings inwards, becoming the portal to the living dungeons once more. You step through the portal.

This time, you find yourself in a small clearing in the middle of a thick forest. The trees stretch away from you in all directions but one, where a narrow footpath leads off between the trees. The leaves above are so thick that no light seems to penetrate the trees more than a few feet in, though that might just be how it seems from here, since the sun is beating down on you from directly above. In contrast, the footpath is brightly lit by the sunlight shimmering from the leaves gently rustling in a light breeze, almost inviting you forwards.

You opt to follow the footpath: those trees just look far too dark and ominous for anything good to be lurking inside them. As always, Louie takes point, with you sticking close to Tear. You don't think you'll ever get used to the tingling sensation you get as the invulnerability field shifts you out of interactable space.

The footpath continues in a straight line for some way, before suddenly veering off to the left. As you approach the corner, Louie shushes you and creeps up to the edge. You and Tear go still and silent, listening. There's a clicking, tapping sound of bone-on-bone from just around the corner. Louie carefully pokes his head up over the underbrush concealing you, before suddenly reeling backwards as a large machete cleaves through the brush.

You let out a terrified squeak as a shambling skeleton bursts through the gap, flailing the machete madly in your direction. Louie brings his sword up in time to deflect the blow away, turning the skeleton with the motion. As he pulls his sword up, ready to strike the skeleton down on its return, he pauses for a moment. The skeleton, instead of turning back to face you, continues swinging the machete wildly in the new direction it is facing.

"Uh... I don't think it's attacking us," Louie states, unsure.

Tear nods her agreement, "it does not seem to be sentient, or aware of our presence. We could simply wait and pass it by."

"But if we passed it by, we wouldn't get any loot!"

Tear raises an eyebrow, "this is true. Though whether or not the gains exceed the risk as this point is questionable. Regardless, Louie, you have your orders. Take it down."

Louie nods his affirmation, face tightening into a battle-ready grimace. He steps up behind the skeleton and smashes it hard over the back of its skull. The rear half of the skull shatters, and the skeleton stumbles forwards but does not fall. The blow also managed to rotate the thing a little, and as it returns to its stance, it's now almost facing back at Louie. It swings twice more, almost cleaving Louie in two before he pulls his shield up to block the heavy blow. He reels from the impact, and you can make out a hefty dent in the front of his shield. Before the next swing can connect though, Louie thrusts his sword quickly between the ribs of the thing and yanking to one side hard, splitting its spine in twain.

Louie breaths a sigh as it crumples to the floor, and you step forward to congratulate him- but Tear catches you the moment before you leave the invulnerability field. "Louie, en guard!"

He heaves his shield back to the ready, confused by ready for action. At this moment, the skeleton's arm swings down, cracking once more against his shield. The skeleton quickly pulls itself back to its feet, spine crunching as it reattaches itself.

Louie ducks down under another swing, bringing himself to a safe location behind the skeleton again. It continues to swing wildly into the underbrush as you call advice to him: "Go for the arms, Louie! Steal the machete!"

"Got it," he calls enthusiastically back to you. He jumps after the foe, neatly severing its forearm with an upwards cut. The machete falls useless to the ground, the skeleton continues flailing at the air, apparently not noticing the absence of its weapon.

After a half-second pause, you notice the arm seems to be wiggling on the floor, as if preparing to jump back to the skeleton once more.

Before it can wiggle any further, Louie brings his foot down on its fingers, crushing them into the dirt. It writhes on the floor for a few more moments, Louie smashing the bones with his sword. Eventually, it gives up on unlife and falls limp, machete falling from its fingers. Louie bends down, picks the thing up and tosses it handle-first to you. You grab it and bag it, then watch as the skeleton continues its random advance into the forest.

You have half a thought to follow it and finish it off in the hope of more loot, but the thought is cut short by the sudden appearance of two more skeletons exploding from the line of trees behind you, both swinging wildly.
You barely have time to shriek before the first blade cuts through you, bisecting you clean from shoulder to wais-

Or not. You blink in surprise as the blade passes harmlessly through you, both skeletons walking straight past in their inexorable march towards Louie.

Tear sighs beside you. "You see? Risk versus reward. These foes have little loot worth our time, thus we should try to avoid and ignore them."

"Yeah," you agree. "Louie, get out of there! We're moving on!" You scuttle past the skeletons while Louie pirouettes around another blow, deflecting a swing aimed at his neck and dodging clear of the fiends. They continue past him, hacking their way into the treeline.

He pauses, breathing deep and trying to catch his breath. After a few minutes, he rights himself, giving you the nod that he's ready to continue.

You continue a little further up the pathway, finally coming to a fork in the path. To your left, you can see a large treasure chest in the open, next to the Go-Home door sitting completely out of place in this natural environment. On the right, the path continues back into the darkness of the forest.

>Go left? This takes you home now. You'll get back early and have more time for the rest of the day, but minimal loot.
>Go right? Explore the rest of the dungeon first. Takes more time, but you might find more things.
>>
>>31680110
What? why would we choose left? Can't we loot the left chest, head to the right, then nope back to the door if things get too hot?
>>
>>31680110
Uh, can't we loot the chest without leaving?
>>
>>31680129
Yes. That will take more time, but maximize your looting chances.
This is also a choice as to whether or not you wish to step into the courtyard now or later.
>>
>>31680187
Let's do it, but seriously, we're draggin Charme and maybe Caillou in after this.
>>
>>31680129
Can we scout ahead with Tear while Louie "guards" the exit door?
We might be in way over our heads here.
>>
>>31680129
lets do this
>>
>>31680223
we always have been, anon. I'm pretty sure you can't run away from boss rooms.

Don't tell Louie

You step forward into the clearing, making a bee-line for the chest. Louie is a few paces behind you. The moment he clears the end of the forest path, you're suddenly cast into a deep shadow. Looking up, a sense of dread fills you as you see the sun is blotted out by a gigantic ball of blue slime descending straight towards you. You fling yourself out the way as it impacts with a huge rumble, shaking the earth with its impact. Louie manages to keep his feet, but barely. You look up to behold the gigantic slimy beast, a small voice in the back of your head commenting how the golden crown atop it's 'head' would probably sell for quite a sum.

A familiar tingly sensation overcomes your body as ghost writing appears before you. A heavy electro track begins playing from the forest all around you.
[THE CROWNED SLIME]
[~LORD OF THE SLIMES~]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cg1iV7cPllI

A rustling around you calls your attention to the forest around you, and between the trees you're sure you can make out the shapes of more tiny slimes bounding their way towards the clearing.
Louie hasn't noticed this however, as he's too busy charging headlong at the King.

>Think up a strategy to help him!
>>
>>31680330
If video games have taught me anything, the weak point is the shiny thing.

So aim for the crown.
>>
>>31680330
Keep your distance. Don't bother blocking that huge thing, just use the shield when fighting the smaller slimes THAT ARE TRYING TO AMBUSH YOU.

Clear them out as they appear, and the big guy should be easy to dodge. totally not fishing for loot

Then, well...hit and run tactics.
>>
>>31680359
yep
>>
>>31680359
This, but just inflict the Crowned slime scratch damages, over and over again, using the human superior mobility to stay out of reach at maximum
>>
Louie rushes forward, swinging hard and carving a huge chunk from the giant slime's body. The chunk falls to the ground where it is instantly absorbed into the earth. The slime doesn't even react, however, with the wound instantly closing itself, pulling slime from another part of its mass. Louie cuts in again, dealing another blow before leaping back out of the way as it tumbles forwards to try to crush him.

He uses the movement to quickly slice behind him bisecting one of the two slimes that leap from the wood behind him, but the second rushes past him to bounce into the body of its king, integrating seamlessly into the slimey mass.
"The little ones," you shout at Louie, "get the little ones first!"
>>
Work net just went down. Posted that from my phone. I can either continue this torture or wait and hope the net comes back.
>>
>>31680703
Skip the writing and give prompts for more planning, then just write everything as one chunk
>>
>>31680703
wait for the net to come back for a while, and end the thread if it doesn't.
>>
>>31680686
Louie focuses on the small slimes, cutting through them all. They seem endless, and he's starting to get worn out. Some seem to be going straight for him while others linger in the trees. The king is content to hang back and watch him exhaust himself.

> continue on the little ones?
> focus on only one group of little ones?
> switch focus to the king?
> split attention?
>>
>>31680839
If they really are endless then it's time to ignore them because we'll get nowhere.

> switch focus to the king?
>>
>>31680839
Steal the king's crown, the slimes won't obey him without it. Also it's shiny.
>>
>>31680896
that's stupid as-

.....fuck it, let's do it.
>>
>>31680839
Try to anger the King so he'll send his minions to Recette. Then have Louie butcher the King.
>>
>>31680839
Louie switches attention to the king. With a little effort he manages to mount it, riding it like a pony for a few seconds before managing to pull the crown from its head.
The king freezes as Louie falls to the ground, then explodes into a bunch of smaller slimes. There's silence in the clearing for a moment before every slime in the area suddenly rushes Louie as one.

>?
>>
>>31680896
This seems reasonable.

>>
Inb4 Louie becomes gelatinous by putting on the crown.
>>
>>31681004
Or dies. That's really what I'd expect to happen, but I'm not going to oppose it because naive lolis are best lolis.
>>
>>31681019
Nah, dies would be drastic for a happy-go-lucky game as Reccetear, also slimeboy is a nice lead for some comedy situations.
>>
>>31680956
Louie puts on the crown. He is instantly bowled over by 5 slimes. It looks really painful.
The Crown falls to the floor at your feet, tge slimes start rushing you instead.

>?
>>
>>31681045
um.. can someone throw a fireball?
>>
>>31681045
kite the bastards and wait for Louie to get back up and kill them.
>>
>>31681045
Well, we're in the intangiwhatsit field, so we should be safe.
[x] Wear the crown, become Queen of the Slimes.
>>
>>31681045
Put on crown, re-enter safety bubble as quick as possible. While the slimes are distracted by you wearing the crown, have louie attack them.
>>
Changing from this >>31681090
to this >>31681086
Have the slimes tire out trying to get you in your field, and realize your superiority, acquire slime army.
>>
>>31681045
Join the fight, try to get the Slimes out of Louie
>>
>>31681045
Jump on the crown, destroy it.
>>
>>31681045
This is what we get when we don't spin to win.
Louie just needs to swing his sword in a 360 degree arc when the slimes are in mid attack. It will tire him out a bit, but it's incredibly powerful.
(Don't any of you play the game?)
>>
>>31681129
Do you hate money?
>>31681131
I did, but why do that when we can do things that we can't do in the game?
>>
>>31681045
You step out of the field to grab the crown. You get back in as the swarm descends. You're now safe inside with a shiny new crown as they leap hopelessly through you. They are ignoring louie.

> go for the treasure+door home?
> continue exploring with your new army?
>>
>>31681210
Continue exploring, ghostwalk through all enemy, get them trampled by a horde of slimes. If we left now, we'd probably accidentally release a horde of slime on the city.
>>
>>31681210
KILL THEM ALL, LOUIE
>>
>>31681210
>go home
>slimes follow
>the moment the invulnerability field goes down they descend on the crown and remerge into slime king
>except now in the middle of town

I guess if they're ignoring Louie he can casually cut them down, but if they don't stop coming that's still no good.
>>
>>31681210
>continue exploring with your new army
See if they'll follow orders.
>>
>>31681210
Keep exploring. All hail Recette, loli queen of dungeon monsters!
>>
>>31681252
>loli queen of dungeon monsters!

>>
>>31681274
Inb4 a group of monster social justice warriors knock on our door, or the in-universe PETA club.

>>31681274
We could. Or we could privatize this operation and keep it for our express profit and not the good of whoever the hell gets enslaved like a smart killer loli millions in debt.
>>
>>31681210
> continue exploring with your new army?
aventure!
>>
>>31681274
Even if they can't they're clearly strong enough push things. Have them puch a mill's gear, and we could make more than a pretty penny

Let's see if Louie is OK
>>
>>31681210
>>31681325
>>31681377

* Send him home with the treasure if he's too injured to go on
* Take our slime army looting

>>
>>31681410
All of this
>>
Heh. And now my phone is about to run out of battery. Good news is I'll be home in 3 hours to write this up properly.
>>
>>31681410
This. Perhaps check on obedience of slimes, if they follow commands, return to town with ~ 2 slimes left.
>>
>>31681440
Welp. Thanks, see ya in three hours.
>>
>>31681451
>~ 2 slimes left.
Slimes aren't exactly a limited commodity, I'm pretty sure just dangling the crown near a sewage system would get you a miniature army of them.
>>
>>31681461
But what do we now about the domain of the slimeking? Perhaps there are various slime kings and the other slimes follow other slimekings.
We must have slimes that know that we usurped their king and are their current monarch and that we're not some doofus wearing a random crown.
>>
>>31681210
You get Louie to open the chest and take the loot home. Meanwhile you continue on with your slime army still making a futile effort to regain their crown.
A ways along the track, you spot Alouette with a large group of adventurers searching for loot.
Upon spotting you, half her men flee in terror. The other half form a protective line around her.
> try to talk?
> leave them alone?
> attack them with your grand army?
>>
>>31681534
> try to talk?
Play it off as if this is only a small portion of the full army.
>>
>>31681534
>> try to talk?
We have a monster army now. I don't care how many adventurers she has, our crown is better.
>>
>>31681534
SELL HER THE CROWN
>>
>>31681553
This. Tell her to fear the rise of the Recettear Imperium.
>>
>>31681534
Hello, Rivallouette! Wonderful day for a dungeon crawl isn't it?
>>
>>31681534
>>31681563
> try to talk?
Better be armed and polite than simply armed

Just say hello.
>>
>>31681534
"Hi Allouette!" You wave.

"AAAAAHHH!" she replies.

You try to attract her attention again. Your slimes squish one of her guards. The others start fighting your slime army. Another one gets squished.

You apologize, and try to call to Alouette again. "AAAAAAAAAHH!" Two more men get squished. Her forces are quickly dwindling. Your numbers keep getting infinitely replaced by the forests around you.

>?
>>
>>31681642
I have a slime army now, isn't it awesome!?

segue into baiting her and then selling the crown off for millions
>>
>>31681672
>selling the crown
No.

The crown is an amazing opportunity.
>>
>>31681672
We're not selling the crown, it is worth way more then we'd be able to sell it for, because we can practically loot infinite slimes, if we're not able to use them as free workforces or something.
>>
>>31681642
Command the slimes to sit, if words don't work do your best impression of a slime woggling to communicate to sit still.
>>
Guys, I'm not so sure that we should bring the crown outside of the dungeon without nullifying the enchantment or something. We don't want a slime tsunami running amok in Pensee when people gave clearly seen us with it. We presumably also don't want to attract a lot of attention to ourselves during our illicit dungeon diving,
>>
>>31681735
Hopefully we can dismiss and recall slimes at will or something like that.
>>
>>31681751
You can't. They're going to keep swarming you until they get their crown back.
>>
>>31681732

I don't think the slimes recognize the crown bearer as their leader. They just see it as a tool to reform into the Slime King so that they can be huge again, or that the Slime King inhabits the crown and is repeatedly attempting to reform. Right now, they're just going berserk because they can't merge.
>>
>>31681769
Just one thing: Why did you call the slimes "our army" IF WE CAN'T CONTROL THEM?
>>
>>31681751
We have no control over the slimes. They are literally just bouncing towards the crown. If we weren't invulnerable right now we would be squashed under their wieght. We are not the slime king. The crown is the slime king.
>>
>>31681642
>Break the crown, sell the gold latter

I vote for this thread to be retconned
>>
>>31681791
The do damage everything that gets close to us. While not harming us in the least.
>>
>>31681642
Ah geez. This is going so badly. Throw the Crown to Louie and tell him to run for the Door.
>>
>>31681642
>>31681769

Run away from Alouette back to the exit, examine crown and see if we can't strategically break it such that the enchantment is broken while minimizing damage to the crown.
>>
We don't have any blue paint with us, by chance? Otherwise we could paint ourselves blue and pretend to be the slimeking.
>>31681817
Do you want the village to be drowned in slimes?
>>
>>31681828
>>31681819
Now do you see why I wanted to sell the crown?
>>
Damn, we'l have to either disenchant or break the crown eventually.

>>31681835
Yes, I was ignorant to the fact we couldn't control them.
>>
>>31681828

I meant to run to the exit, but not actually use the exit.

We need to break the crown, but we want to cut down on people seeing us wielding the crown if at all possible.
>>
Can we cover ourselves in slimeguts, and pretend to be the slimeking?
>>31681835
But we could hang it above a grinder, and have slimelivers to sell for the rest of our days. Ofcourse we must sell them in small batches, otherwise we'll flood the market and the price will crash.
>>
>>31681828
>Do you want the village to be drowned in slimes?

Yes
>>
>>31681868
we COULD do that, but slime livers aren't exactly expensive to begin with.
>>
OP, If you can't post, don't. I would rather have good, long posts that the non-sensical fragments we get there.
>>
I'd like to remind everyone that the crown probably counts as a magical item, and as such, we are law-bound to turn it over to the church.
We should anonymously donate it, of course. Through a window.
>>
>>31681910
While this is hilarious, we already have a witness, so we won't get away with it, sadly.
>>
>>31681910
Bitch, that crown is probably worth enough to make a sizable dent in our debt. The fact that it's normally impossible to get (Because slime rape) means it's worth even more.
We take that shit and we sell it.
>>
>>31681642
>Look, Alouette! I'm a princess!
If she still keeps screaming, just move on.
Get all the loot we can carry, then break (if possible) or toss the crown before at the door.
>>
>>31682144
Shit, wrong thread. Meant for /qtg/. Deleting.
>>
>>31681959

Maybe if we had the buyer lined up and ready to take the thing off our hands that'd be a viable idea, but as of now that army of infinite slimes is going to either merge into some sorta slime Kaiju when the crown leaves the field, or it'll flatten anything in between it and the crown if we leave. We got to destroy or deactivate the crown now.
>>
>>31682186
> buyer lined up and ready to take the thing off our hands
we've got one such chump right in front of us.
>>
>>31682210
In full hysteria.
>>
>>31682217
I'm hoping she's stupid enough to carry tons of cash on hand, and just throws it to us to make the slimes stop.
>>
>>31682210
I agree. Try to establish coherent communication and sell her the crown. What could possibly go wrong.
>>
>>31682217
Hysteria is just envy taking root. When she see's this power she'll want it for herself. We sell it to her and watch the resulting spectecle.
>>
>>31682235
>We are gathered here to day to mourn the loss of our dear Allouette who out of nowhere got trampled to death by a horde of slime.
>>
>>31682240

Uh, it seems to me that it's more of the panicky hysteria variety and not the megalomaniacal type.
>>
I'm beginning to wish we'd never looted that damn crown.
>>
>>31682351
Well, you could always toss it away as far as possible, or drop it down some hole or well. But that would be waste of a precious artifact
>>
>as a humorous twist, Kaleun decides to drop his name but hold on to his trip

I'm still going to make fun of you every time you drop it, if you were thinking you could get rid of the jokes. You can't.
>>
>>31681642
We are invisible? Better skidaddle before we are seen murdering the men of our biggest customer.
>>
>>31681642
You try to open coherent conversation with Alouette again. All but one of her men are squished by the slimes. You decide this isn't a place you should be and quickly scarper back to the Go-Home door.

>Break the crown?
>Take the crown with you?
>Throw the crown away?
>>
>>31683605
>Take the crown with you?
we just have to find a way to store it...
>>
More things came up, so I can't realistically finish the thread nor get a real write-up done tonight. I'll fit the real write-up of everything that just happened into the start of the next thread, then go from whatever decision we take from here.

This is roughly where I wanted to end the thread anyway, so let's just go with that.
>>
>>31683605
Break it! The pull might dissipate if it's broken. We can then sell the pieces to different buyers, claiming that the crown has extremely powerful magical properties if restored.
>>
>>31683605
>Take the crown with you?
Invade the town with it.

Alright, see you next time!
>>
>>31683605
>Take the crown with you?
