"Wow, so he actually..." she says, her expression gradually shifting into a warm smile. "...I'm so happy for you, Reinhold! I know that sword meant a lot to you!"

"Actually," you begin, "would you mind it if I left it in your room?"
"...wha?" she stares at you with a look of utter confusion. "Why in the world should I allow you to do that?"

Yeah, it would make sense for her to be annoyed by that request. It is kind of a strange thing to ask out of the blue, after all.

"When I went to my room earlier, it was kind of trashed," you say with an exasperated sigh. "A bunch of my art stuff got ripped up because whoever brought my luggage up seems to have decided to place my suitcase on top of my desk, and my other bad was just kind of chucked onto my bed so everything in it could fall out."
"Nothing's missing, is it?" Marianne asks.
"No, I don't think so," you reply, shaking your head. "But I'm still kind of weirded out and I REALLY don't want to risk my sword getting stolen after I finally got it fixed, so..."
"I understand," Mairanne says as she turns around to open her door. "And I suppose I'm going to speak with Arnaud about this incident..."

She the extends her hand out towards you.

"Hand it over," she says. "But consider this a one-time thing, I don't want you thinking that my room is some kind of storage facility."
"Of course not," you reply as you re-wrap your sword in the cloth and place it in her hand.

It's kind of hard not to laugh as she stumbles a bit when you pull your hand away since her frail princessly arms aren't used to the weight of a sword. IT also takes a lot of self-control to keep from bringing up the halberd incident.

"As long as this thing doesn't come to life while I'm away and eat my things..." Marianne says as she hurries into her room with your weapon in tow.
"I'm pretty sure that won't happen," you reply with a nervous laugh.

You certainly hope that it doesn't.

Before long, Marianne emerges from her room and firmly closes her bedroom door behind her. Next stop: the dining hall!
