Turning on your heel, you run. You run as fast as your legs allow you to, as fast as the suit allows you to, and then some. As fast as you possibly can, to the one person who can help you. To the one person who won't judge you for what you did.

You'll tell her what you did. You'll tell her, and she'll smile, and she'll forgive you. She'll say that you were right to do what you did, and that you shouldn't blame yourself, and...and everything will be alright again.
>>
>>31843876

You'll be able to stand and fight with the rest of your squad, with the rest of the Culexus, with Miss Malal - and whatever happens, you can face your death with a clean conscience, and a clean spirit.

Who knows, you may even come out of this alive, with Cavefish and Miss Malal and the rest, a-and...and this'll be something you'll eventually forget about. It'll be as if nothing happened.

Yes. Of course. That's...that's right. Everything'll be okay, and you can go back to worrying about Walpurgisnacht instead of...this. Instead of what you did.

You just need to get to Haruka, and everything'll be just the way it was.

You've gone to her Silent Room many times before that you could run it full-out with your eyes closed. It takes you five minutes to do so - five minutes taken out of your one-and-a-half hours left in this world, five minutes that you'll have to lie to Malal about as well. But you're past the point of caring, now. She can dress you down all she wants to, later. You just need to do this, and everything will be okay.

Shrieking the verbal passcode as you burst into her cloistered-off Silent Room - the loaded gatling gun sentries tracking you for a couple of seconds, before flipping upwards as your haggard, breath-stolen shout is deciphered and verified - and you hear Haruka gasp as you throw the door of her Silent Room open, a cup of tea in her hands.

"Y-Yuma-san? Aren't you supposed to be deployed already--"

You cross the distance between you in two quick boot-falls - your helmet thudding into the carpeted floor by your feet - and you bury your face into her gown-covered chest as you loudly and pathetically begin to cry.

Crying the same way that Girl A had did earlier, as you tore her mind apart for secrets that weren't even there in the first place.

Crying as you remember how she begged and pleaded for you to stop, for you not to hurt her anymore.

[1/2]
>>
You're laaaaaate
>>
>>31843889

"Yuma-san..." Haruka murmurs, and you feel her slowly return your embrace, one arm curling around your waist, while a hand gently runs its fingers through your unruly hair. "Shh. It's fine. It's fine, Yuma-san. I'm here. Let it out. You'll feel better for it."

And you do so. You have no idea where all of this is coming from - the last time you cried was back when you were still uncontracted, when your father used your scalp as an ashtray.

But it's...good. It feels good to let it out. Especially after...after earlier.

You finally manage to stop sobbing after a couple of minutes, and when you lift your face from Haruka's chest, you realize that you've pretty much ruined her pristine white gown by soaking through its front with your tears. You murmur an apology for this, an apology that Haruka dismisses with a smile and a brief shake of her head. With handkerchief in hand, she dabs at your eyes, drying them, before flipping the scrap of embroidered cloth over and holding it to your nose. You obediently blow as she says so, the act reminiscent of a child being tended to by a parent, or a younger sibling being comforted by an older sister.

"That...that was the first time I've ever seen Yuma-san cry." Haruka says after you've managed to settle down and recover your helmet from where you've thrown it. "Is everything alright, Yuma-san? I realize that you're about to head off to a very difficult mission, but something tells me it's not just that, is it...?"

...

How do you respond?

Walpurgis is a 2 day long holiday technically.

[X]Tell her that you just...needed to see her before you go. Nothing more than that.

Yuma did think that "no one can know". I figure she would be afraid of being rejected by Haruka, and would justify hiding it by thinking that WN will just kill her anyway so no need to tell.

I would expect Haruka would probably not care. I mean she thinks Girl A/Chiaki is going to kill her due to her vision, while Yuma loves her.

Then again, theres a difference between say killing Chiaki, and raping her. And it might make her worry. I mean Yuma has proven she is willing to do it. So probably could not help but wonder if Yuma would be willing to do something similar to her (erase a memory of a fight for example).

>>
>>31844042
She might ask for her short term memory to be scrubbed after the confession so her image of Yuma would not be spoiled by what she did. Even if Haruka doesn't care about Girl A, knowing what Yuma did, who she does care about, might be too much.

Oh that would be horrid for Yuma. "What you did is so horrible I don't even want to remember it. Please erase it from my mind". Hard to think of anything worse that Haruka could say.

I doubt it though. I expect Haruka will act like that anon from previous thread who kept insisting that Yuma "did nothing wrong". I seriously doubt Haruka will react badly.

I mean, how it was described in the last Trhead sounded like a pretty painful process.

And a completly useless process at that. I still dont get why people voted for that. Why would you expect to see anything other than her short-term memory if Yuma already explained us that this is how it works when we first met Haruka

The two are still together in the future despite Yuma keeping everything secret, so in order for canon to work, she cannot care too much.

A decent person would be horrified and sickened, but obviously that won't happen.

Unless Deculture really digs Yuma deep and has Haruka react that way, and Yuma erases the confession from her mind. But I seriously doubt thats how it will play out.

I really don't want to lose our LAST Culexus to this. I'm not saying we should completely forgive her off the bat but Chiaki has come far since her murderous past. Why not have Yuma work for her redemption?

Have Yuma be the Culexus Malal knew she could be and make her train any future Culexus to be the very best they can be. We don't have anyone else who can train the newbies.
>>

>I want her and Haruka out of the Officio so they can be together
You want Haruka to be out of the Officio, the one place that she's safe, because if she ever leaves a Silent Room for too long the nightmares that Pinky sends her will drive her mad, assuming that Pinky won't just kill her.
And while being near a Culexus might keep Pinky away, that was mostly Malal, and Omegon is not on her level.
>>
>>31844619
But it just doesn't make any sense why kick her out just to set up contacts to make her work for us. Along with pulling Haruka out of her silent room which will I'm pretty sure will just send her crazy and shes an asset herself.
>>
>>31844485
Yeah, I remember that. I am curious however, so lets ask the question in another way.

Lets say Yuma does NOT confess or seek forgiveness/redemption herself, but Chiaki learns of the rape anyway. For example, lets say Pinky or Homusquad restores the memories to Chiaki.

A question for those those who thought Chiaki would punch and then forgive, would your opinion change, if Yuma kept hiding the truth and Chiaki learned it another way?

Would Chiaki still punch and forgive, or do you think she would act more harshly?
>>
>>31844619
>>31844660
And before I forget the both of them are currently the only way for our officio to find witches.
>>
>>31844485
sounds like a plan
>>
>>31844664
It depends on how Yuma reacts when Chiaki reveals she knows.
My understanding is Yuma will NEVER tell us herself, so the whole thing depends on Chiaki finding out and confronting her.
Then maybe apology punch puke
>>
>>31844322
Wait, fuck.
Now I recognize that pose.
>>
>>31844664
Whatever Yuma raped, it wasn't Murderface or Chiaki.

And Chiaki's not such an incompetent warmaster to waste assets like that. Probably something on the lines of "if I hear something like that happen again the'll find pieces of your soul gem on the moon" but that's about it.
>>
>>31844664
>>31844682
I'd have to agree it would depend on how Yuma reacts.
>>
Yeah, Haruka is the long term inpediment to this plan.

That and the fact that as far as we know Chiaki doesn't know yet.

Yuma is not to blame for this.
The voters are.

Even if dabbling in Girl As mind might have caused side-effects like Chiakis/Murderfaces memory resetting because of reasons.

She is our last Culexus apart from that Culexus are fucked by default. Add to this that she may probably blame herself for getting Malal and the rest of her squad killed by not checking up on Kharn and lying to Malal.

Its hard for me to not sympathize with her through all she went through all the additional shit she went through due to retarded votes.
Unfortunately we have no means to punish stupid people reading this quest and making stupid votes instead.

Seriously, blaming Yuma in-character for retarded votes out of character seems batshit insane to me.

>>31843926 >>31843930 >>31843943 >>31843949

You tell her. You tell her everything. What you did to Girl A, what you saw, and what you had to do in order for Malal not to find out. It's less of a recounting and more of a hurried, desperate confession - one that Haruka had to ask you to stop, slow down, and tell her again, as you started crying again as soon as you got to Girl A pleading for you to stop.

When you finally finish, having choked the last few words out in a rush - bowing your head, unable to look at Haruka, dreading to see what kind of face she would be looking at you now that you've laid your guilty, pathetic, weak soul to her - you let out another sob as she pulls your helmeted head down to her chest again, hugging you closer this time, tighter this time. Hushing you, her words soothing and calming as you breathe in her unperfumed, soapy scent.

"No more crying, Yuma-san. You shouldn't be crying." She pats your back comfortingly, before running her fingers through the ruggedized plates of your hardsuit. "You did nothing wrong. I'm certain of it."

You blink through your tears, drawing back and looking up at her - the smile on her face saintly, almost motherly. "I...b-but, Girl A--"

"You needed to know, Yuma-san." Haruka gently interrupts you, one dainty-fingered hand reaching up to wipe your eyes dry once more. "You did it out of necessity, not out of malevolence or amusement. And you did try to ask her gently, yes?" You nod here. "That alone absolves you, just as your intent did. From what you told me, she kept the truth you were looking for behind a promise made to Miss Malal, right?"

Y-yeah. She talked about a pinky promise, or something...

"Miss Malal must have made that promise to prevent other people from knowing. If she herself explained the details to you, then what would have been the purpose of that promise, as far as you're concerned? You were meant to know, too, but you simply wanted to verify it."

[1/2]
>>
>>31844805
>You did nothing wrong
Even Haruka thinks Yuma did nothing wrong.
>>
>>31844754
I would have Chiaki ask how is she expexting us to trust her. Was Malal wrong in placing her trust on Yuma? If not then how is Yuma going to prove that Malal's trust was not misplaced?

She did not only goof us over, but Malal too, and that point might hit harder than just what she did to us.
>>
>>31844754
Yeah. If Yuma is the one who confesses and begs forgivenes, then she comes off a lot better. It gives the impression that she truly regrets what happened and is tormented by it. Chiaki would realise Yuma could have kept it secret, but chose not to. Makes it a lot easier to forgive.

However if Yuma keeps hiding it, then she comes off as a criminal who does his best to avoid responsibility for her actions. Any apology after she is caught by other means, would feel forced and cheap, and give the impression that she is apologizing not because she is sorry, but because she got caught and is giving a fake apology to try and reduce the punishment.

Thats a lot worse in my view. I doubt Chiaki would kill her either way (last culexus), but I could certainly see her being a lot more harsh in the latter case.
>>
>>31844805

"Miss Malal must have made that promise to prevent other people from knowing. If she herself explained the details to you, then what would have been the purpose of that promise, as far as you're concerned? You were meant to know, too, but you simply wanted to verify it."

You shake your head, here. But you should've simply just trusted what Malal said--

"Yuma-san." Haruka interrupts you again, her hands now lifting your gloved ones up and holding them to her chest. "Please, listen to me. With all the time we've spent together, you've always talked at length about how Malal is training you to be her replacement. Singling you out among your fellow Culexus, giving you exposure to duties and methods that she alone performs.

Now, if she was indeed training you to be her prodigy, then do you think she would prefer someone who simply takes information given to her at face value, or someone who takes the time to verify it? Knowing that in our line of work, a single misstep with received and transmitted information could potentially cost lives?"

But Girl A, you left her a sobbing, pitiful wreck. You hurt her. You weren't gentle at all...

The former Seer of the Third nods. "Yes, well, that is your only sin, Yuma-san. It hurt. You hurt Girl A. But she's still alive, isn't she? In contrast to the girls that have lost their lives before, and now simply exist in our memories? She still lives, she still breathes, she can heal from this instead of the cold, dark nothingness that our sisters are now buried in."

...

Haruka smiles at your silence. "...Sometimes, I often forget how young you are, Yuma-san. You've told me little about you, but you've always felt so old to me. Like you've had to do some growing up very quickly."

Really? You...well, you just never really told anyone. You didn't think anyone deserved to have that dumped on their shoulders--

[2/3]
>>
>>31844825

"A burden shared is a burden halved, Yuma-san." The seer tuts here, tapping your helmet gently in a chiding way. "Regardless, you must remember, Yuma-san. As Magical Girls...none of us are saints, none of us have hands clean of blood. This is the life we chose, the life we lead - and the only guarantee we can count on is that none of us will ever see heaven."

It's here that Haruka hugs you again. "Purge yourself of your guilt. You did what you had to, your hand was forced, and Girl A will recover." There's a hard edge to her words as she says the name, but before you could point it out, she draws back to place a kiss on your forehead. "But if you can never forgive yourself, then..." ShI will forgive you as many times as necessary."

How do you react?

Yeah, its great. "Its ok, rape is fine, you did nothing wrong. You did not kill her". Her excuses are basically what a real life rapist might say.

Thats why I wish the question about whether or not Yuma should confess to Malal and others would win.

I think Haruka hates Chiaki/Girl A. I think she knows that Malal would be pissed. I want to see how Haruka would convince Yuma into keeping things quiet and never revealing her crime to anyone.

That is how stories work you know?

You realise that in published novels, the actions of the characters are all chosen by the author. They are puppets, except there is only 1 voter (the author).

Havent you ever immersed yourself in a good book with a great villain that you loved to hate? If not, I feel sorry for you. If you have, then its the exact same situation here.

The story is what it is. Deal with it.
>>
>>31845055

>>
>>31845119
The only difference here, is that there are multiple people holding the strings, while in published works, there is only one person holding the strings.

In both cases, the actions of the character are chosen by an external agent or agents. All fictional characters are puppets. Yuma is not actually real. Girl A/Chiaki is not real. No one was raped, since no one exists.

That does not mean however that we cannot immerse ourself in the story and _pretend_ that the characters are real (which is basically what getting immersed in any fiction/game/movie means).

If you cannot do that and see her as just an unreal puppet of the voters, then I guess thats fine. I cannot help but feel that this would really reduce enjoyment of the quest though. Enough said.

>The only difference here, is that there are multiple people holding the strings, while in published works, there is only one person holding the strings.

But this is a huge difference, anon.
In one you follow just a story, in the other you get to decide and are part of a story.

Thus immersing on a vote you didnt decide on is and should be pretty difficult. Since, you know, it actually breaks the aforementioned immersion of the story you claim you immersed yourself in.

Yet you pretend that one and the other are completly the same.

If thats how you feel.

I voted for the non-rapist option, but I think it actually turned out much more interesting and immersing this way (probably, obviously I don't know what would have happened with Kharn).

Yuma suddenly gained a lot more personality, and Harukas reaction here made her more real aswell.

Yuma is a lot more interesting character now that she is a rapist, even if thats not what I voted for. Dunno if I am the only one who feels this way.
>>
>>31845234
So, what you're saying is that you should never quest unless you get your personal choices reacted on every time?

Haruka's just protecting her friend/investment. "Oh, my pal who also is my guardian is about to go into a giant battle to the death, but is emotionally unstable because she feels guilty."

"Do I A: make her feel terrible and shit and probably get her killed in the battle, or B: tell her some bullshit to calm her down and make sure she survives?"

Wouldn't the correct term be mind reading or hacking?

For some reason constantly throwing around the word rape make it seem Yuma physically molested girl a. Did she?

Also saying rape make a character more interesting. The wording seems a bit bad...
>>
>>31845458
Sure, but this time the choice chosen was one of the options given by the writer. The rape option was NOT a write-in.
>>
>>31845448
....sorry, you lost me at "ruined a character".

There is no such thing as "ruined characters" only charater changes that occur in the sotry, whether at the behest of the Blind and Idiot God that is /tg/ or the Omnipotent and Omniscient God that is Yog-Sa - I mean, Deculture.
>>
>>31845475
Well, mindrape is the simplest and easier term. You could argue its worse than normal rape, since you violate the mind itself rather than the body. And so on.

But its all semantics, I figure when people say "rape", everyone in this thread understands what is meant by it.
>>
>>31845496
I guess, I remember that term and I understood that though I guess the wording of some anons that rape makes Yuma interesting as a character (I understand that was not their intent) sounds a little weird
>>
>>31845526
Replace "rape" with "mistake" you get the accurate version.,
>>
>>31845477
So? The possibility was there, and not chosen. It's not going to make or break the game, and it adds unusual and perhaps darker background to a character, but all in all I see nothing bad coming of it as yet.

When she gets found out - and she will - it will be interesting to see what happens. Complaining and arguing is irrelevant after the fact. Deculture doesn't rewind scenes over petty nonsense such as this
>>
>>31845448
I voted against the rape option. And now I want to kill Yuma or at least make her suffer.

However, I don't think that the rape was stupid or shit or out of character or ruined a character or whatever butthurt crap you call it. Stop whining and move on.
>>
>>31845543
Disagree there. It WAS rape. Just rape of the mind, rather than the body.

It was certainly a mistake, but saying thats all it was diminishes what happened.
>>
>>31845569
To an extent perhaps, but I'm not worried about the 'diminishing' of it, it made quite the impact on the followers and no one will forget it.
>>
>>31845444

We should make it subtle and help her improve and heal. Lots of healing.

So we'll commission a special Culexus helmet with cat-ears and make it a part of her uniform.
>>
>>31845526
It's not that it makes her interesting as a character, but that it sheds some interesting light on later interactions with her that happened earlier.

It was a horrible action done in a high pressure situation for reasons which might well have been, and might yet still be important.

>>31845569
95% of what a Culexus does is rape by that definition.

Rape is a horribly overused word, though, to the point that the word has practically lost all meaning to me.
>>
>>31845559
Umm, what I meant was that the writers options are options that he thinks the character could take.

So if we choose an option given by the writer, we are not acting OOC (atleast as far as Deculture is concerned).

Since the rape option was not a write-in, Deculture did think that mindrape was plausible for Yuma to do. You can ofcourse argue that Deculture was wrong.

I admit that its a bit odd that the option was there after Yuma called Malal on Girl A being mindwiped, and then did something even worse. But its not like hypocrisy is unknown.
>>
>>31845589

It's a situation that mmgives Yuma characterization, and in this particular game Deculture has demonstrated that he is very good about working what we do or do not do into the characters well.

No - if the character does it then it's in character regardless of how the rest of /tg/ feels about it, in my opinion. I do understand where the misleading comment was on my part, sorry.

But saying something done by a character is 'out of character' isn't effective, because if they do it, then it really is in character, whether or not people like it. And people do things out of the own character on occasion (c.f. the botched interrogation). Chiaki learned from the experience, her mistake, and coped - and did much better, later.

At this point I don't see how Murderface could fuck things up. Heck, even if she does something stupid like tries to go to her Angel (Malal) for help and that screws up everything, it would still be because of what Yuma did, making her ultimately responsible.

Though in truth I am more worried about Kharn at this juncture. Kharn is close to witching out and Yuma was supposed to check to make sure she had not gotten worse. However because the mindrape took several hours, there was no time.

And when Malal asked, we lied and said Kharn had not gotten worse, even though she might have for all we know.

I don't agree with that.
If a Player A has played Character A, and then for some reason Player B takes control of Character A and forces them to go back on all characterization that Character A has had to that point, is that not out of character?
>>
>>31845803

>>
>>31845768

IT's possible that she already did and Chiaki forgot, like NECO pointed out.

It's also possible that she's too wracked by guilt so she lashes out instead of trying to make amends.

Yuma was first played by Deculture.

She'll always have a place in the Betrayer Club, alongside Kharn and Homura.
>>
>>31845922
Why would she apologize to those two? If anything, it was a deeply personal issue she'd probably only apologize to Murderface in private for. And she can't be expected to predict whenever she's going to go and forget everything again.
>>
>>31845908
Note that I was talkign about Muderface fuckign things up,l not Malal.

Which brings up a very relevant question. Why didn't Girl A witch out after being mindraped Yuna?
>>
>>31845941
Witching out is, to my understanding, reaching a point when you no longer have hope and give in to despair. It is not the same thing as being really upset about something.
>>
>>31845941
Well Walpurgisnacht hasn't arrived yet. So the influencing force hasn't effected Kharn yet.
>>
>>31845922
She's been knocking herself out trying to fulfil Malal's role for the Officio.

She's not trying to atone for what she did to Murderface (who, lets fact facts, is the same before AND after the little incident in the Silent Room with seemingly no harm done)

What she IS trying to atone for is the death of her family. Twice over, if you include her Culexus family and her parents.
>>
>>31845943
Decdulture has proven he takes out activities with said character into account later.
>>
>>31845943
But as others above have said, the choice we made when controlling her came from Deculture. So its not a case where we just decided something Deculture would never have even thought of.
>>
Why are people arguing about this?

Yuma did nothing wrong.
>>
>>31845983
Fucking THIS. Read this post people, it's like people don't even pay attention.
>>
>>31845964

>>
>>31845941
The clock hasn't reached zero for Walpurgisnacht. I pressume that will trigger the process.
>>
I wonder if he's watching all this shit slinging and chuckling about it.
>>
>>31845953
What if Yuma did apologize, and she was forgiven, and then Murderface forgot, and she apologized again, and again, and again.
We haven't asked QB how many times that Chiaki had her bouts of amnesia. By Sayaka's own words, it hurt each time that it happened, so we know it was more than once.

Maybe Yuma has apologized multiple times, and it's started getting repetitive.
>>
>>31845998

Hahaha!
>>
>>31845913
>It's also possible that she's too wracked by guilt so she lashes out instead of trying to make amends.
This sounds incredibly likely to me.

>Yuma is now a pretty complex character
>happy that she's not a flat character anymore.
So much this.
>>
>>31845998
I'm pretty sure that actually part of the reason he runs the quest.

You let out a long, shuddering sigh, closing your eyes as Haruka's calming, soothing words sink in. It's...you still know what you did, of course. You doubt you'll ever forget the sight of Girl A looking up at you, pleading for you to stop.

But at the same time, hearing Haruka say what you needed to hear - it feels like a heavy burden has been lifted off you, the cold fingers strangling your heart inside your chest loosening. Allowing you to breathe once more.

"Feel better?" Haruka smiles at you as you draw back, and you nod. Yes. You feel much, much better. Better enough that you can actually return the smile she's giving you with one of your own.

"There. No more crying, alright?" She reaches forward with a hand and brushes a few strands of hair from your eyes. "Remember that there will always be times when what we need to do that may not seem right at first, but I believe the intention behind them matters more. The spirit behind the deed. And sometimes, that is enough to justify even the worst sin you can commit." Haruka pauses her, as if to catch herself from saying something else - before nodding again. "This is one of those times, I feel."

Y-yeah. You...you can see where's she's coming from, definitely. You murmur your thanks again, the second time since you barged into her Silent Room. And for the second time, she dismisses your gratitude with a shake of her head.

"We're friends, Yuma-san. I know that I've been a burden to this Officio more than I've been a boon. I'm not blind or deaf to my detractors here in the Ninth, how even your Warmaster - may the Blessed Lady take her in her healing embrace - is debating about executing me for my own betrayal. But you alone have extended the forgiving hand of friendship to me, and kept me company when I desperately needed it."

[1/2]
>>
>>31846027

She reaches up to brush a lock of hair back, tucking it behind her ear. "If I can at the very least do the same for a friend, to offer that same balm for the wounds that hurt us the most - then who am I to deny it to you?" Another smile. "I can do this much at least, Yuma-san, even at this useless state. And if it's you, then all the better."

You can't help but blush at that, and you resist slamming your visor down to hide your embarrassment. Instead, you simply nod, thanking your stars that you have someone like Haruka supporting you in this, at least.

It's also here that you realize that she...she kissed you. The first time she'd done that. It was to your forehead, sure, but...it was still a kiss. Your very first.

You find yourself swallowing, your cheeks burning redder. Haruka notices this immediately and blinks - before giggling again, her own cheeks burning crimson.

"I...um, I apologize if I took such a liberty to do so. I-I...I fear I've forgotten that Culexus are quite sensitive to such things." She shakes her head, completely contrite. "I...I may have gotten carried away. I just couldn't bear to see you under such duress..."

You shake your own head here. N-no, it's fine. There's no need for her to apologize. ...You liked it, after all. A-and it's kind of like a good luck charm, for later!

"A-ah, yes! A good luck charm!" Haruka's distressed expression gives way to a relieved smile. "Yes, of course I meant to grant you that, too. Because Yuma-san needs to return and enjoy the new batch of tea leaves I've managed to procure."

Oh? New tea leaves...?

"Yes! Miss Tomoe Mami was kind enough to heed my request, despite...well, despite our rather uneasy first meeting." Haruka's smile turns brittle, but only for a moment. "When you get back, Yuma-san, I will do my best to brew a fine pot of it for us to enjoy."

You'll look forward to it, then.

>>
>>31845976
If you drug someone and rape her when she is unconscious, and are carefull to use a condom etc so she does not get std/pregnant, is it still rape?

I mean the woman won't remember it (unconscious), and "seemingly no harm was done".

I think she is indeed trying to atone for Malal, but I do think she also should atone for Chiaki. And I figure Chiaki/Murderface would have mentioned it to atleast Kyoko (who is her best friend).
>>
>>31845984
Wrong is relative - especially in a world like this.
>>
>>31845960
I suspect.

I'd be very curious to know whether Omegon actually spent those two hours in the Silent Room with Girl A.
>>
>>31846044

Suddenly, a beeping alerts you to the time limit you've chosen to wilfully ignore for the moment. approximately 15 minutes has passed since you got here - giving you an hour and change left before Walpurgisnacht comes in and wrecks everything.

"You need to go, yes?" Haruka nods at your gesture. "Don't worry about me, Yuma-san. Leave when you need to. I'll stay here and wait for your return."

You thank her again and make to leave - but before that, you ask the seer one last question. As much as you'd like to ignore it too, you couldn't help but notice the fact that she couldn't say Girl A's moniker without that hard edge in her voice.

Is she still angry about what Girl A did? To her and her Officio...?

Haruka's smile doesn't change at your question, but she takes a moment to reply.

"All sins are eventually forgiven, Yuma-san. But the sinner must be worthy of forgiveness first." She shrugs. "I may forgive her myself, but...not for a while. Not yet."

So...that's a yes, then. She's still angry.

The seer's careful facade breaks down into a giggle. "Yes, yes, if you need to know. Oh, you're impossible sometimes, Yuma-san." She nods at you. "Go with the Blessed Lady's grace. Keep her in your thoughts, and you will be safe. I'll pray for you and Miss Malal in the meantime."

It's here that you finally leave Haruka's Silent Room, breaking into a run again. Not caring if you're making a complete racket as you stomp your way through corridors and floors - not like there's anyone else left to bother, really.

Ten minutes of running full-out, and you find yourself stumbling through the General Assembly Hall doors, breathing hard, panting into your vox.

"Omegon!" Malal's shout is a rough, waspish bark from the far side of the hall, evidently pissed. "Where the hell have you been? You're thirty minutes late!"

[3/4]
>>
>>31846047
Well, the thing you have to remember is... Murderface is a bitch. And one who, even when not under the effect of amnesia, spent a lot of time out of her right mind.

The fact that she apparently walked out of Walpurgisnacht unharmed, like some kind of Karma Houdini, just like Kharn, when all of her friends died might very well be why she's so vindictive.
>>
>>31846047
>If you drug someone and rape her when she is unconscious, and are carefull to use a condom etc so she does not get std/pregnant, is it still rape?
This is not even close to what happened.

>If a person you don't trust is influenced by someone you are supposed to trust who has done something unforgivable, can you do something unforgivable to see if things are truly as they should be?

At least be honest. Yuma said "Yes." And she'll pay for it, whether she wants to or not, one way or another.
>>
>>31846010

I'm glad that it happened I'm just pissed off we didn't get anything out of it. I wanted to see some alternate timelines or some fucking Malal dickery at work. we din't even get the identity of her attackers!

Violence breeds violence, indeed.
>>

As much as you'd like to reply, you're still trying to catch your breath, your gloved hands on your knees. When you finally do, you straighten up and see that your clearly-irate Rank Leader is with some unfamiliar characters - two other Magical Girls, one of them with short black hair and a vaguely familiar face, the other a shorter one with a spiky black crown on top of her long, unruly blonde hair.

Both of them are wearing suits of black armor, with tabards of white cloth draped over them, emblazoned with a black cross.

"We've been standing here like idiots waiting for you. Come on, I know this isn't quite Christmas, but I was expecting you of all people to be at least punctual, Omegon." Malal growls from her vox-speaker as you come closer.

Both the newcomers beside her having the decency to at least stay out of this, keeping themselves quiet. The blonde one doesn't seem to be able to stop smiling, though, like grinning at some private joke.

How do you respond?

The rest of the members of the 3rd Officio that did not surrender to the 9th after Ahriman's attempt at ascension. So pretty much all of her friends.
>What was the motivation for that?
Because they were a loose end, and with the Incubator of the 3rd's dissolution of the 3rd Officio, they were considered rogue Magical Girls.

Point Murderface at someone and tell her to shoot and she gladly will. Maybe they told her it was a no smoking/drink/pill zone.
>How the fuck did Girl A summon Pinky to haunt Haruka?
Her existence I imagine. Girl A didn't personally ask Pinky to fuck with her. I doubt she even knows about Pinky at all.
>>
>>31846236
I don't think she did.

It's probably more accurate to say that Haruka drew Pinky's attention to her by trying to off Homu.

>>
>>31846439
Wait, what are you even talking about? Did something disappoint you here?
>>
It feels a bit self-serving, but this is all publicly viewable information so I'll come clear with it...

To answer your questions and summarize: Haruka was part of a group of Thirds that were absorbed into the Officio but turned traitor and tried to kill Murderface. Haruka was talked into helping because she felt that her friends might have a greater chance of success if she was there with them. Murderface killed them all, however, and Haruka was captured.

The rest was explained in quest, that Haruka's mind was broken and Malal pieced her back together after recognizing her as the little sister of the First Warmaster. She was not outright executed because Malal recruited her into hunting down the rest of the 3rd traitors, which Murderface and Kharn killed.

And now she's alive and confined in a Silent room. Better than being dead, I suppose.
>>
>>31846458
Maybe they weren't considered much of a threat? Kharn wouldn't bother if the job wasn't exciting. But who knows, we're speculating here. I know Girl A did some jobs herself though.

Unless Haruka is delusional and the others would not surrender (in which case its harder to blame Murderface).

Haruka is a pretty conflicted young woman, but she means well. That aside her sister was... not pleased by her decision making skills and they had a few choice words. More than that, I cannot say

Do governments in the know develop anti-sparkly technology "just in case"?

Is there the same NT-D irony that it requires a magical operator anyway?
>>
>>31846771
I thought Chiaki still had her headband. Most people still draw.

Does Haruka know that Kharn is in critical condition?
>>
>>31846857
"Aim for the gem." is pretty much all a muggle needs to know when dealing with a sparklie.
>>
>>31846867
That's exactly why we should just bite the bullet and give her it back.

Unless she got it back when she changed to the ponytail. I dont remember. But the Wiki claims
>Despite popular artist depiction, Chiaki does not have Homura's characteristic black hair band according to Deculture.
on Chiaki's page
>>
>>31846832
Will we get to see mundanes wielding anti-MG weapons soon?
Will we get to see sparklies get rekted by PMC's wielding anti-magic assault rifles and personal anti-magic fields?
Will we get to watch OTHER Officio's get their shit kicked in, or is it us that will experience this wrecking?
>>
>>31846915
I'm going to say "no".

On account of the fact that Malal's been keeping it a secret.
>>
>>31846915
I think she meant that more as "May she die very soon."
>>
>>31846925

Huh. That's new. I certainly didn't write that in there.

Decu, does she not have the headband? Because I just assumed she kept it and always drew her with it. I mean, just about every piece of artwork has her with the headband...
>>
>>31846857

They do! And some Magical Girls have turned traitor and are working for governments instead, too. (They're usually hunted down a lot).

>>31846915

Yes, Yuma told Haruka about that, too. Not that she can do anything about it, though.
>>
>>31846972
In all the original artwork, including the OP images, she doesn't have it.
>>
>>31846936

Yes, Hahaha! and Very yes. If Chiaki plays some key decisions accordingly, the Ninth will be the one doing the shit-kicking, too!
>>
>>31846983
Has any Magical Girl from the First ever gone rogue or turned traitor?

Who is the highest-ranking MG to ever go rogue?
Besides Strauss, who was more kicked out than going rogue of her own volition.
>>
>>31846771
I was actually contemplating on repainting/masking over the headband so it'd be more accurate to current Chiaki.
Then I realized that nobody would give a rat's ass, haha
>>
>>31847038
Speculation time! What does this mean?
>>
>>31847038
>If Chiaki plays some key decisions accordingly
That's what I'm afraid of.
>>
>>31847043
>Has any Magical Girl from the First ever gone rogue or turned traitor?
Imma say "no".

Simply because their numbers are so low that the loss of single person of that level of power would be a potentially world-altering event. That and they spend most of their time in statis.
>>
Are we getting a competent male character soon?
Souji is Souji, and Kilgore is kill.
>>
>>31846996

I always assumed that was just how Decu drew her in his style because of how black and white and solid everything was.

Oh well, I think the headband's neat so I'll probably still keep drawing it.
>>
>>31847083
Piss off the wrong people, and the First will give tacit approval for some government or governments to neutralize the Ninth, and tell the other Officios to not interfere.
>>
>>31847043

Never. The First keeps a clean house.

Highest-ranking MG to ever go rogue...well, there was Risa, I think. You can count Kharn there, too, but she got away with exile there.
>>
>>31847097
You still draw her with short hair anyways!
>>
>>31847119

That bobcut is gorgeous
>>
>>31847089
Kamijou wasn't too bad, even if his stint in Militaire sans Frontieres probably ended on Big Shell with his death.
>>
>>31847116
Umm, Deculture said that Ninth would be the one DOING the shit-kicking, not that they would be kicked.

I took that to mean an alliance with 9th and some goverment against some other officio, if Chiaki plays her cards right. Did I misunderstand?
>>
>>31847038
Will Chiaki be able to handle all of her golden weapons at once at some point or is that too much for even endgame?
>>
>>31847117
>well, there was Risa,
Wasn't that due to Golden Weapon craziness?
I meant more towards those that went rogue without Pinky messing with their brain.
>>
>>31847097
I like the headband too. I think you should keep it.
>>
>>31847148
yes.

He's suggesting that if you leave it to us, we'll fuck it up.
>>
>>31847117

please tell me she's the warmaster of the first. nobody would ever go rogue under her
>>
>>31847171
I think imma just assume she got it back when she went to the ponytail.
>>
>>31847148
The question was if the Ninth would be the one doing the shit-kicking, or if they're the ones to get their shit kicked.
So if Chiaki makes the right choices, she'll be kicking ass alongside agents with anti-MG weapons.
Make the wrong choices, and she'll be getting her ass kicked, by agents with anti-MG weapons.

Some people are going to intentionally go for the latter.
>>
>>31847089

>>
>>31847089

>>
>>31847213
I'm trying to figure out what a specifically anti-MG weapon would BE without Incubator tech. Unless the Incubators are playing both sides.

Or one of them is screwing everyone.
>>
>>31847137

Kamijou survived that encounter! Chiaki will probably encounter him soon enough, the guy may be a social reject but he can pretend to be a charmer if his life depended on it!

>>31847148

This is correct! The Ninth is actually one of the more powerful Officios around, even with just one Culexus. Malal has made sure that it has at least one contact in every Officio. (Mami, of course, has TONS of contacts in every Officio, including the Warmaster of the First.)

>>31847156

Hahaha, well...we'll see! But using each golden weapon and getting acquainted with the spirits inside lessens the corruption they can output.

>>31847158

Hmm, well, there are definitely some Warmasters who simply cracked under the pressure and went to the other side, if that's what you mean! Rank Leaders too. But the Officios are usually good enough to clean house on their own.
>>
>>31847241
Leaving yuri magazines on the ground to distract them, and then having snipers shoot them in the soul gem.
>>
>>31847241
>Or one of them is screwing everyone.
The 3rd Incubator is still around, and he's washed his paws of the whole Magical Girl business.
Maybe he went into a different market; weapons development and sales, perhaps. And he has intimate knowledge of Incubator technology, giving him a very solid position in offering weapons to governments that no other supplier can offer.

>This is correct!
Yes, that's IF Chiaki makes the right decisions. What if she makes the wrong ones?

We're saying that if she makes mistakes, those potential allies with the anti-MG guns could become enemies that will come gunning for the 9th.
Is that true?
