Kant is a deontological ethicist. It's not the outcome of the decision which is important, it's the principle. Fighting is the right thing to do- even if death is a certainty.

Unless the poster is lying about something or omitting relevant information(highly likely), the party did try to steal from him and threaten to kill him, which is undeniably ruining someone's fun.

Maybe he was being a fuckwit long before that, or the stipulations of the sale were different than he made them out to be. But as-is, the act itself was justified and appropriate, but not the original intention.

In my opinion, Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame will always be the quintessential archetype of Lawful Evil. The idea of "either it fits within my narrow and necessary set of rules or it burns" is the very essence of L/E in my opinion.
