"Kyoto. Kobe. Osaka."

"Correct, Anaru," Satsuki replies, sipping again. "Held in these regions are the only remaining bastions of resistance. Hiding beneath one of these aforementioned sanctuaries is the group funding them all, and the mastermind behind their rebellion: the ridiculous Nudist Beach."

"So, what? We just bulldoze our way through and make 'em take a knee?"

"Essentially."

"What about the transfer student?" Uzu asks, throwing his legs up on the table between you two. On the opposite end of your couch, Nonon snuggles deeper into one of her stuffed bears.

"Surveillance has reported that ever since entering the "Berserker" state, Matoi Ryuuko has refused to wear Kamui Senketsu and remains hidden within the Mankanshoku household. For the past few days, she has consistently been the only member of the home who has not left."

"We need her in top condition for the coming battle," Satsuki says, setting her empty cup down. "She will not last a single second at her current level of power, let alone fighting without a Kamui."

"The sooner she wears it," Gamagoori pitches in, "the sooner Matoi will be able to continue building her strength."

You cross your arms and lean forward, metal plates clinking quietly as you do so. You're deep in thought and Satsuki notices this, her eyes centered on you.

"Gamagoori!" Satsuki's eyes widen. Gamagoori chuckles a little at her surprise and takes one of her hands in his giant ones.

"I believe in you, Satsuki-sama," he continues, "and you believe in Ondori. I have also seen his resolve for myself, after all we of the Elite Five have been through together. That is enough for me to make my decision."

As you step out of the Academy and into the atrium outside, you catch sight of something that blows you back to the past. Something that strips away all of your experiences over the past few months, bringing you back to the very genesis of your time as the legendary Ondori Anaru.

"Aniki, are you...?" Ryuuko trails off, reaching out for you.

You brush her hand away with one of your own and wrap her in a hug, sighing. Truthfully, you'd missed her. It feels good to be at her side again.

Her arms, slowly but surely, find their way around your back as she lightly reciprocates. She's still in shock.

"It's me," you whisper, rubbing your cheek against hers a little bit. "It's Anaru."

Tears well up in her eyes, and her hold tightens.

"I'm alive. I'm here. It's okay."

Suddenly, she nearly squeezes the life out of you and buries her face in your shoulder, sobbing.

Truthfully, you weren't ready for this kind of reaction. You did all you could to prepare yourself, but ultimately there was no way to be ready for Ryuuko. She's one of a kind, after all.

Nui just attempted to kill one subordinate, sort of succeeded in killing another, and damn near killed Satsuki by making her go berserk. And now she's back for more.

Ragyou warned her that she was pissing off Satsuki at her own peril when she'd done far less, so at this point we could murder the shit out of her with little to no risk of exposing the plan.
