And so you tell her everything. You sit there, cross-legged and committed to feeling nothing. If you allow yourself to feel, all you will see is red. You know there is a dangerous air around you, you can feel the cracks in the dam.

You could potentially snap at any time. Who knows what would happen, then?

Ryuuko listens intently. She listens with open ears and an open mind, despite her apparent hatred of Satsuki.

There are some things that can unite even the most vicious of foes. And this topic in particular has even Ryuuko clenching her fists.

"That is vile," she hisses through grit teeth. "I can't believe it."

"Believe it," you mumble. "She's been dealing with it since her childhood."

"Well," Ryuuko grumbles with her arms crossed, "I'm not going to pretend that she's my friend or anything like that! But if it's true that this 'Ragyo' treats her like that, why doesn't she do something about it?"

You don't hesitate anymore. She deserves to know, consequences be damned.

"Because she is," comes your cryptic reply. "She has been preparing for years."

"What?"

You take a deep "breath" and sigh. "Satsuki is planning an uprising. A rebellion against REVOCS, against her mother...against the Life Fibers themselves."

Ryuuko's eyes widen.

"The Battlefield Trip is the final step," you say. "Once those final schools are assimilated, we will await the Sports and Culture Festival that will inevitably follow. That is when it will happen, and that is why her sights are set on you."

"I...I don't get it. Why am I important? She's been trying to kill me at every turn!"

"Fair's fair," you bite back. "And not kill, train. She's been...no, WE'VE been giving you opportunities to grow stronger at every turn. She recognizes your strength, and especially your spirit."

She takes your hand and squeezes it a little, smiling. "Yeah. Yeah, I guess I am."

The light of the sun begins to fade, and the moon rises off in the distance. Pretty soon, you'll have stars lighting up the sky and the Academy-wide curfew put into effect. And there's no way you're going to be the one who gets Ryuuko into trouble. Hell no.

"Well," you say, "To keep it simple, Satsuki's entire system here was put into place for the sole purpose of building an army, one strong enough to stand against REVOCS. And you, along with Senketsu, are easily the greatest asset she could possibly have. You're the ace in the hole that isn't quite prepared, so she's been accelerating your training as much as possible. We've been hard at work, ensuring that you're battle-ready when the monsters come bearing down on us."

"Man," Ryuuko sighs, leaning back. "This is crazy."

"But it's the truth. I would never lie to you." You promise.

"Ryuuko," the Kamui speaks. "We should leave this place, quickly. Potential ally or not, we shouldn't test Satsuki's patience."

"That's right," you say. Ryuuko deadpans.

"You can hear Senketsu?!" She cries.

So, the two of you proceed back up to the Academy as stealthily as possible. With the entire army finalizing preparations for the next day, everyone is on high alert. And to be perfectly honest, you're not in the mood for dealing with anyone who's got the balls to stop you for being out of curfew.

The two of you manage to make it all the way up to the lounge entrance, stopping at the curtains.

"I'll go in first," you say. "And when I give you the signal, you follow."

"Alright," Ryuuko says, crouched low and ready to roll. "What's the signal?"

You shake your head, and Ryuuko remains silent. Satsuki nods once, briefly, and rises to her feet.

"Alright." You stand up and so does Ryuuko, ready to follow you both before Satsuki turns.

And places her hand on Ryuuko's shoulder. True to her nature, Ryuuko is astonished and a little miffed at the physical contact given by her most recent enemy.

"I will tell you the rest, in time," she promises. "Anaru trusts you, would give his life for you. In fact, he already has."

Standing in the background, you just kinda shrug a little. Not much else to say or do.

"You are, for all intents and purposes, a sister to him," Satsuki continues. "If he would have you know the truth now, then I will not stand in the way of that. But for now, remain here and await our return. Urgent business demands our attention."

And like that she spins around and walks off, expecting you to follow. Unbelievable.

Did the great Kiryuuin Satsuki actually humble herself, leveling with someone she'd been viciously attacking and berating for the past few months? Even more surprising is Ryuuko, who quietly complies and moves over to sit on the couch next to Uzu.

Maybe, just maybe...things would be alright between the three of you.

You give Ryuuko a brief wave, which she returns, and turn around to follow your lover into the elevator.

"So, what are we going to do?" You ask. She remains silent, just long enough for the doors to close.

Then she's all over you in an instant, arms around you and lips brushing against your face.

Stepping into the laboratory with Satsuki walking beside you, you sense something different in the air. It's much different from when you first arrived as a human, back when it all began. Back when you were still rising through the ranks.

When you tried on a Five-Star Uniform for the very first time. Now THAT was an experience. And back then, the air was different. Not unlike the air outside.

But now...now the air is heavy. An ominous tune resonates within you. You don't just hear it, you can feel it.

It's just like earlier today, when Nui touched you. The way your Life Fibers communicated, the way they sang out their fears.

Now, they sing out their desires. Like a man possessed, and you very well are, you gravitate towards the great metal dome at the very end of the Sewing Club's hangar.

Pulses. You feel pulses emanating from it, calling out to you. Beckoning.

You want to touch the device, and this desire carries you forward. Even as Satsuki calls out your name, you walk forward. You place a lone metal hand on the dome, and your mind is instantly assaulted.

Flashes of light. Scenes you were not present for, yet somehow remember clearly. You stand there, frozen in place as Iori approaches.

"Is it communicating with him?" Satsuki asks. Iori nods, tapping a few keys on a nearby computer. A large holographic display pops up, showing a graph of some sorts with two labeled wavelengths.

You shake your head and step away from the dome. A loud screech is heard, and the room quakes.

You've always been weak. You're wearing the damn suit of the strongest man in the world, the man who was stronger than death, and yet that couldn't help you. He said it himself, you can't rely on your uniform. But you hoped, anyway, that it would give you the strength to hold it all together.

"Fate!" A hand lands on your forehead. You realize you've been stitching nothing, just moving your hands in a fast, shaky motion.

"Calm down," Nui says, in a soothing voice.

"Okay," breathe in, breathe out. "Okay, I'm calm."

"Is it him?"

"... It's all of this," you whisper, weakly.

"The... bastard!"

You head instantly turns to Nui. "He cut off my arm, he threatened you! If it wasn't for him, everything would be okay!"

You're worried, especially, about this.

You love Nui, but you respect Anaru, as well.

"Fate," Nui says, slowly looking into your eyes, "did you gather any information while a Three-Star?"

You don't have a response for that one. He does have a point, but you still feel uneasy.

I'd like to add further to this; I think the main goal with Fate is to prevent Nui from altering his state of mind as much as possible.

If we at all lie to Nui and she finds out, she's 100% going to alter our mind. However, we don't want to tell her the full truth because that jeopardizes Anaru and co., and we absolutely don't want that.

So, the most sensible decision to make, imo, is for Fate to tell Nui just enough to where she's satisfied. He loves her, but also respects Anaru as was pointed out.

He'll manage with Nui the best he can and hopefully work something out to where she eases off just enough for him to get through to her, or something.

I strongly desire to see a good guy Fate and Nui here, or at least as good as possible.

You nod, and in a flash the sealed hatch is open. You hurry inside and pull it shut, tentatively stepping away as it is re-sealed. Turning around, you come face to face with it.

The Primordial Life Fiber. One of the last beings to have spoken with your mother before her death.

You've hardly taken one step forward before the strands lash out and wrap around you, lifting your metal form all the way into the air. Panicking, you struggle against the powerful strands.

To me, what Fate's doing here is making it clear to Nui that he does love and trust her, but that he wants her to do the same with him.

If he doesn't lie to her, and is agreeable with her, she'll not feel the need to alter his state of mind. Therefore, his sense of justice will be allowed the room it needs to grow.

Hopefully as Nui's lover he'll end up rubbing off his ideals on Nui, whom I think is easily influenced by her emotions.

TL;DR Fate will hopefully be able to use love as brainwashing of his own against Nui and change her cruel personality.
