In the world of Valaer, the Battle of Tirinia changed everything. That was 680 years ago.

Here lies the human Kingdom of Therindel - less a Kingdom than a confederacy of lordships, duchies, principalities, city-states, et cetera - banded together under the constant threat of attack from the mysterious Wood Elves of the eastern land of Xalfacia. For many centuries, these lords and rulers have bickered amongst each other for the right to succeed the King who fell in battle at Tirinia against the Elves.

And now the Kingdom of Therindel is a veritable hotbed of adventure, riches, and loot to be enjoyed by adventurers from all over the world. From the lost cities of the Elves, to the grand old monsters of old, to the buried treasures of those who came before. And the mightiest treasure of them all, the Golden Fountain! Said to one wish in exchange for dropping a coin into its clear waters. It is the treasure all adventurers seek! From the strong, to the cunning, to the daring, those who seek adventure seek the Golden Fountain!

You are not one of those people.

Wandering Spirits are known for the cloak they wear, the black silhouette of their smoky bodies within, their glowing white eyes, and how much they are tied to the mortal world. They wander the earth, in search of business to finish so that they may finally pass on into the afterlife.

You are a Wandering Spirit. With naught but your cloak, a walking stick, and a single gold coin, you are on a journey. You are in search of the Golden Fountain.
>>

Your name is unknown even to you unfortunately, due to the circumstances of your death. Unlike most ghosts who remember who they are, can phase through walls, cross rivers, possess people and the dead, and other ghostly things, you can’t do any of that. Funnily enough, if it weren’t for the fact that you were quite literally just a humanoid mass of smoke, people would probably think you were actually a person.

But that’s besides you now.

You’re not exhausted as you walk along the forest path. Quite the contrary, Wandering Spirits don’t feel quite the same sensation of exhaustion that people do. Your dark brown cloak, mottled with holes, tears, and other imperfections sways in the gentle wind. You have your hood up, in the faint hope that someone may stop and offer you a ride.

Of course, once they see you’re a ghost, they usually break out the weapons and you end up having to beat feet. Right now, you’re hoofing it. Up ahead is a river, you think from the sound of water and birds.

What should you do?

How light are we? Maybe we can convince a bird to give us a ride on its back if we're just the weight of smoke. That could take us to our destination.

Hmph. Best not draw attention to yourself.

Thusly, you keep on walking. A horse-pulled cart passes you by towards the direction you came from. Just an old farmer and his shipment of wheat. Nothing too notable. At least he didn’t notice you. You’re sure that if he did, you probably would have killed him from shock, old people are not known for their fortitude against the magical and the dispossessed souls of the non-living.

But that’s beside the point.

You continue walking along and along until, just like you predicted, there is a river.

You cannot ford the river yourself however, being a Spirit has that disadvantage. Even if you weren’t a Spirit, that river looks very deep and looks even wider. You need to find a raft, or a crossing somewhere. You look to your right, and sure enough there is in fact a small wooden ferry big enough to fit five horses. Under a tree sleeping is a young girl, next to a dirty but neat little fiddle. You assume she’s the ferrymaster.

What should you do?

You poke the girl in the head with your walking stick. “Pardon me,” you say.

She curls up, rolling over. “Agh… go away!” she says, sleepily.

“I need to use your ferry,” you say.

She sighs, then sits up, rubbing her eyes. “Ugh… fine fine.” She looks at you, then blinks in surprise. “Oh. Hi there. Are you some kind of ghost or something?”

“The technical term is Wandering Spirit. I’ve been called Cloak a couple of times too. Whichever is expedient, I do not particularly care honestly speaking. Still though, I wish to use your ferry as I do not have the capability of crossing water on my own.”

She stands up, brushing some leaves and muck out of her blonde hair. “Um, yeah. Sure. I’m Karen, ferrymaster.”

>>=[| KAREN |]=<<
>>=[| Ferrymaster |]=<<

She holds out her hand. “Ten gold.”

… Ah, that’s a bit awkward. You only have one gold which you really REALLY need.

You hold out a ghostly hand. “Can we barter, perhaps?”

Karen scratches her chin, sizing you up. She hums a bit, thinking. “Can you-“

“No. I cannot have sex with you.”

“Darn.” Karen snaps her finger. “It’s just, you know. It gets boring out here, all by myself. With nobody in sight. Only travelers. And… yeah.”

You tilt your head. “You ever think of investing in prostitutes?”

“Oh King’s blessing no, I’d never waste money on that,” she says. “It just gets really boring out here by myself.” She sighs. “Tell you what, there’s a town upstream by the name of Penderbrook.”

“Is there a bridge?” you ask.

“Was,” says Karen. “A Greater Tuna wrecked it a week back and the Governor hasn’t paid to have it fixed or replaced. Maybe a townsperson there will have something for you.”

You nod. “Sounds like a good idea then.”

“Why would you want to have sex with a Wandering Spirit anyway? It is not like I can actually make you feel anything beyond discomfort.”

“That is not a good excuse.”

“Well, you’re not human either,” she says. “No offense or nothing. You probably don’t get the same urges we do, yeah?”

“You are completely right,” you say.

“I have no recollection of my past life, unfortunately.”

“Oh.” Karen frowns. “That’s… sad. I didn’t know. That must make it really hard on you.”

“My memory fluctuates from time to time,” you say. “But otherwise, my past is something that I quite literally cannot recall in good detail.”

“Ah.” Karen scratches her chin. “That must be hard, having amnesia or whatever it is on you.”

“Well, it is not a great deal to worry about. What I worry about now is finding the Golden Fountain and getting my wish at the drop of my coin.” You hold up your golden coin.

“You know what you’re wishing for?”

“Not yet, it will come to me, though,” you say.

You nod. “Well, thank you, Miss Karen. Sorry to be a bother.”

“Weren’t no trouble,” she says. “If you find yourself back here, you better have the cash, yeah?” She walks over back to the tree and sits down, picking up her fiddle. “Good luck, yeah?”

You wave goodbye as you head upstream, and she starts playing her fiddle.

Snow.

Freezing. Hands black and rotting. Eyes hurt. Can’t feel legs. Stavros is dead. Snow is piling up. Need help. Someone help. Cloak can’t block the cold. Fires won’t stay. Need help. Need to reach city.

So much snow.

You sigh as you continue along to Penderbrook. You stop to look over at a bird, roosting on a tree branch. “I do not suppose you can carry me to the Golden Fountain?” you ask.

It tweets a bit, then flies off.

“Thanks anyway,” you say. It probably wouldn’t have known the Golden Fountain is anyway.

But, good news finally. You have made it to Penderbrook. It is a modest town, only thirty or so buildings. People, mostly humans, but you can also see Dwarves on auction for their services along with a sign advertising an Orc tailor. The town itself appears to be settled on one side of the river, your side. The bridge, a mighty stone bridge, is no longer mighty as it looks like a giant fish took a bite out of it and split it in half.

Where to start looking for money though?

You open up the door. “Salutations, travelers.” You walk inside to the shocked gazes of various adventurers and patrons. “I am in search of a job that will get me at least ten gold pieces so that I may use the ferry and cross the river.” You walk up to the counter. “Hello, I assume you are the proprietor of this establishment.”

The man, probably a retried adventurer himself, says, “Sure am. The heck you want?”

“I am looking for a well-paying job. Something that will get me ten gold pieces. I do not care about length or time spent, I just need the money.”

He glances around, awkwardly. “Um. You’re aware you’re a Cloak right. I’m not sure if anyone’s hiring you.”

“That is why I am looking for the job myself,” you say. “Perhaps you are in need of my services.”

He shrugs. “Not really no.”

Blast. This was your best bet.

A short(er than average) dwarf says, “Oi, perhaps the old farmer up the road needs a scarecrow or something. You oughta ask him.” His compatriots at the table laugh quietly at that.

“Excellent, thank you for the recommendation, vertically challenged dwarven friend,” you say.

“Oi, all dwarves are short!” he says as you walk out the door.

With that, you head up the road past the curious glances and double takes of various townspeople. You arrive at the farm, a very small and modest carrot farm. You knock on the door to the house.

The farmer, an old man, opens up. “How can I help ya?”

“Good afternoon, good sir. I am a Wandering Spirit in need of ten gold pieces to cross the river using the ferry,” you say. “I hear you are in need of a scarecrow.”

The farmer scowls at you, crossing his arms. “Ach, I dinnae need no scarecrow. But tell you what, it’s a sair fecht with these damnables pixies and fairies digging up my damned carrots. Go into the fields, scare them away will ye when they come? I pay you well.”

“Good,” says the farmer. He offers his hand. “I’m Farmer Fergus Farmerie.”

>>=[| Carrot Farmer |]=<<

You stand in the fields, waiting for the pixies and fairies to come knocking on the Farmer’s door.

Suddenly, you hear it. Sparkles, shimmers, all around.

They burst from the bushes, giggling. They’re clad in naught more but leaves and little loincloths. The little buggers. They start trying to uproot the farmer’s carrots from the farm.

You run over, your cloak flapping the breeze. “Hey! Cease that business now!” you yell. The pixies scream as they see you, and start flying around, trying to grab up carrots. “Get away! Stop that!” You wave your walking stick at that. “I tell you something, you do not want to get on the wrong end of a Wandering Spirit who needs to cross a river! Get out of here!”

One pixie tries desperately at pulling a carrot out. Not on your watch. You wind up your walking stick and swing, sending her flying back into the forest. Her screams fades as she disappears into the horizon.

The rest of the pixies scream, running off.

You sigh. That was easy. And it only took you a couple of hours. The farmer walks out of his house, tipping up his straw hat. “Wow, lookie there. You saved quite a few carrots, Stranger.”

You say, “It was nothing. All in the name of business, good sir.”

“Hm, blunt,” he says. “Well, ten gold pieces it is then, and…”

“Hey! Papa!” You both look over at an approaching younger man.

Farmer says, “My son, Fermet.”

Fermet says, “Papa! You gotta see this! Old Man Darry’s bull’s died in the river!”

He groans in frustration. “Ah, shite.” He pulls out ten gold coins and hands them off to you. “There ye are.”

“Perhaps you need my help?” you ask.

“Oh?” Farmer smiles at you. “Helpful, ain’t ya? Fine, come on.”

You, Farmer, and Fermet head down off the beaten path through trees, wood, and brush. Fermet leads you all on, chattering madly. “So basically, Old Man Darry notices his bull gone missing, ye? And he goes around looking, searching the entire day, he goes down to the tavern, he goes to Corduroy Cody’s dressmaking, he goes to the bridge, he turns the entire town upside down. And finally he been going down this here river and he finds his poor bull lying dead right there! Can you believe that?”

Farmer says, “Oi, I’ll believe it, boy. Just lead us on.”

“And then he-“

“That’s enough, boy. Go on.”

Fermet leads you down to the riverbank, where sure enough, Darry is trying to pull the bull out with a rope tied around the neck.

“Gosh dang King’s shite for brains!” he yells.

>>=[| DARRY DOVER |]=<<
>>=[| Cattle Farmer |]=<<

“Bloody shite!” he yells as he gives up. He tosses the rope down. The poor bull couldn’t have died more than a few hours ago judging by how fresh it seemed. “I tell you, I really celebrated his weight, he could certainly birth a number of good cows but King’s shite he’s heavy.”

“Ah, shut it. If your brains were bombs, you wouldn’t have enough to blow your nose you shite, now shut up,” says Farmer. “I am thinking.”

“Oh, that’s a first,” says Darry as he sits down on the ground.

Farmer sighs, smiling. “Ah, but the old bull, I tell you. Tell you what, Stranger.” He turns to you. “You help us pull this thing out, I can cook you a neat dinner, how about it?”

You nod. “Well, that is if we pull him out.”

Fermet says, “Papa. Cutter’s got big saws, we can do this in chapters, haul off the meat and process it turn, have it fresh and ready for dinner.”

“That’s crazy enough to work,” says Darry. “I’m with that.”

Farmer says, “But Cutter’s out to the High City of Imperial City. He won’t be back for a month, he’s got his equipment locked up.” He groans in frustration. “Damnation. If we had strength potions, this would go trivially.”

“DID SOMEONE SAY STRENGTH POTIONS!?”

All of you look up at a tree to where that amazingly girly voice came from. “Because I!” she drops down to the ground, her green cloak flowing and her satchel of potions clinking and clanking, “Have the answer to your problems!”

All of you glance at each other, then back at her as she stands triumphantly. She walks over to the bull, her equipment clattering as she says, “Now! Mind you, the potion is a delicate tool, but I am a master of brewing and kitting potions and I know just what you need for this situation! A strength potion!”

Darry asks, “Who in the flying pigs of the Vogelreich are you?

She uncaps it.

“Oi, Miss Merriweather,” says Fermet. “Maybe one of us should drink that?”

“Nothing doing!” says Marigold. She waterfalls all the contents into her mouth and tosses the vial into her satchel. She twitches a bit, as she walks over to the bull, then heaves it all up over her head with a mighty roar. “AAAAAHHHH!”

“Impressive,” says Farmer.

“IT’S STILL HEAVY!” says Marigold. “SHOW ME WHERE TO DROP THIS OFF! I CAN ONLY HOLD THIS FOR SO LONG!”

With that, Darry leads you all back to his farm, where Marigold drops the dead bull down. He and his six young daughters all get to work on skinning and cutting the bull up. Marigold smiles, proud of herself.

Darry says, “I tell you all something. How about I cook you all dinner. It’s the least I could do.”

Farmer’s two cousins from the Town Guard have come down to have dinner, and currently playing music in the adjacent room to the delight of Darry’s daughters. Fermet, Farmer, Darry, Marigold, and yourself have dinner as they play.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0oMwkU1GK4

Fermet looks at your plate of beef, carrot slices, and broccoli. “Gonna eat any of that?”

Darry’s woman, a very large and plump woman, says, “Now, Fermet. Dinnae be rude to guests, ken? He’ll inhale the cooking at his leisure, yeah?”

You say, “I actually do not eat, I have no need to considering I am a Wandering Spirit.”

“Good enough for me,” says Fermet as he slides your plate over.

Darry chuckles a bit. “Ah, waste not, want not. You learn not to waste things on farms, Stranger.”

You shake your head. “It is no trouble.”

Marigold looks at you, in awe. “So, what business do you have in the mortal world, Mister Cloak?” She smiles, obviously a bit enthralled by your status as a Wandering Spirit.

> “I’m trying to find the Golden Fountain

“The Golden Fountain. I am searching for it. That is why I have a single gold coin saved up. Perhaps I will find myself as well.” You shrug a bit. “Whichever comes first.”

“Whoo… I always thought the Golden Fountain was some Elven myth,” says Darry. “I tell you something, there’s no way such a thing could exist. The magic of this world has limits you know?”

You say, “Well, if it brought me back with the coin and only the vaguest knowledge of it, then perhaps that is my purpose. To find it.”

Marigold places her hands over heart. “That’s so daring! It must be quite an adventure!”

“It is actually quite boring, not a lot of creatures dare cross me,” you say. “Which is ironic, considering I do not really have a way of defending myself.”

Marigold says, “Well, the Golden Fountain is the find of a lifetime! They say the King took it from the Elves in bloody battle over a thousand years ago! And that dropping a coin into its water grants you a wish that your heart desires!” She sighs, dreamily. “How I’d love to find it myself!”

Farmer laughs a bit. “You all sound crazy, I tell you. It’s just a myth. There’s no way it exists. You shouldn’t waste your time, Stranger.”

You say, “All I have is time.”

You sidle into the living room, to see the daughters all enthralled by Farmer’s cousins and their music. Specifically, the cousin playing the banjo. They laugh and giggle, clapping along to his banjo tune.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gq79UcHYk9I

You say, “You play music a lot?”

The fiddle player, who’s taking a rest as the banjo plays, says, “Yes sir, we do.” You sit down next to him on the couch. “You play any instruments?”

“I do not remember if I can,” you say.

“Ah, that’s a shame,” he says. “Tell you what, pick up an instrument someday like a resonator, a dulcimer, a fiddle or a guitar. Maybe it’ll come to you, yeah?”

“Perhaps,” you say.

One of the daughters, a very young girl in a blue dress walks up to you. “Mister Cloak? Are you a ghost?”

You say to her, “Not technically speaking. I’m more of an aberration. A spirit that can still interact with the world, unlike ghosts.”

Another one of the daughters asks, “Can you tell us a story? Of when you used to be alive?”

“Did you die, Mister Cloak?” asks the first daughter.

You clap your ghostly hands together. “Ah, let me see… well, it was a hundred years ago or so, during the Great War between Baron Barker and Duke DuFresne. Terrible conflict it was. I was fighting for Duke DuFresne as part of his personal bodyguard.”

All the daughters come to listen to your story, looking at you with all their attention their minds can muster. Even the cousins look particularly interested at your story.

“Now, it all culminated at the bloody Battle of Hedgerow Peak. It is a tall hill covered in hedges, bushes, and shrubbery of all kinds. The fighting was very fierce. And we clawed our way through the enemy formations just as much as we did the thorny bushes and the tough grass. Duke DuFresne, brave man he was, he fell to a great weapon Baron Barker had employed.”

One of the daughters asked, “What was it?”

“Trolls,” you says. “Trained trolls all the way from the Western lands of the Orcs. They had clubs the size of this room, teeth the size of your head, and they roared like monsters from the depths of the oceans. They were a sight to behold.”

Another daughter asks, “What happened to you?”

You say, “Well, I stayed behind to give the bodyguard time to retreat.”

“And that’s how you died?” asks one of the daughters.

“No, no,” you say. “I could have escaped. But, there was a crucial flaw to my thinking you see.” You lean in closer to them, almost up in all their faces. “I did not eat my vegetables. I ran out of energy and tired out, and the trolls ate me for dessert.”

All the daughters gasp, in shock.

Darry’s wife comes out of the dining room. “Yearra, yearra, he’s right you little snotlings! Go eat your leafy greens else the trolls come knocking and they have you for dinner, ken?” All the daughters hurriedly rush into the dining room to eat their vegetables. All the adults who know better laugh a bit.

“Oh, you crack me up!” says the Fiddler. “You’re alright for a Cloak, Stranger.”

You shrug. “I suppose.”

You and Marigold sit on the couch, listening to the music idly. You say, “So, Marigold. Are you from around here?”

Marigold shakes her head. “I’m a city dweller myself. I’ve only been out here adventuring for about a year really. I’m from the High City of Imperial City! I used to help out my father at his shop there along with a spellcat named Clay and a nice boy named Norman. I decided to just get out though, and see the world!”

“Really,” you say. “That is quite ambitious of you.”

“Isn’t it?” she says eagerly. “Oh, it’s been only a year and time flies so fast! Why, it feels like only yesterday I slew my first monster!”

“What was that?” you ask.

“Oh, it was the Giant Chicken of Brable,” she says. She quickly says, “But it was a very big chicken!” She holds out her hand at her waist height. “And it was this big! And it had teeth! And you should have seen the bones!”

“I believe you,” you say.

“Of course,” says Marigold. “But, you know Mister Cloak. I am positively enthralled by your story of the Golden Fountain. Is that really all you’re searching for?”

You nod. “I woke up with naught but a gold coin, the cloak, the walking stick, and knowledge of it, so I figure it might be.”

“Then let me come with you!” she says. “It’ll be an adventure of a lifetime! A thrill! A real derring-do!” She clasps her hands together, pleading. “Please?”

And we’ll camp out under the stars! And we’ll find great treasures! And we’ll find that Golden Fountain! Just you wait and see!”

“Of course, Miss Merriweather,” you say.

“Oh, please, call me Marigold!” she says. “Oh, I’ll go pack my things!” She runs into the dining room, nearly knocking over Darry and Farmer as they walk into the room.

One of the daughters starts playing on her guitar, she’s certainly well-practiced.

You bow to Darry, Farmer, and their families. “We thank you for our your time and the dinner. It was lovely.”

Marigold says, “We’d love to come back again soon!”

Darry’s wife hugs Marigold in a tight grip. “Oh, aye me little flower! Come back again soon, you’re always welcome you hear?”

Farmer says, “Yeah, and you take care of yourself, okay? Don’t go chasing rumors, now.”

“Would not dream of it,” you say.

With that, you leave the lit up house and walk into the darkness of night towards the ferry. Marigold skips next to you merrily, her satchel swaying as the vials of potions clink and clank inside. She hums merrily a tune unknown to you but is quite catchy.

“It is a big Golden Fountain, probably in some mountain somewhere. How hard could it be to find it?”

Marigold says, “Well, it’s eluded the grasp of many an adventurer! Who knows where it could be, or if it even exists!”

“It has to exist,” you say. “Otherwise, I would not be here.”

“I see,” says Marigold. She perks up her ears, looking around. “Do you hear that?”

You do. Fiddle music.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dCSdfZFTHE

You walk up to the Ferry, not lit up by a toch. Karen’s set up a little tent for herself by the waterside as she plays the fiddle like some mean instrument, tapping her foot down for rhythm. Marigold claps along as she approaches, getting her attention. Karen smiles, flourishing to a finish in one smooth motion. “Ah! Greetings, who’s your friend?”

“New companion,” you say. You hold out a pouch of the gold coins. “Ten coins.”

“Excellent,” says Karen as she packs it up. “Right, get aboard, I’ll take you across.”

Marigold says, “Thank you so much!”

“Ah, it’s my job, ferrying souls across this here river, no need to thank me,” says Karen. “Just get to your destination safe and sound, you hear?”

You nod. “We will.”

Marigold strips off her cloak and dresses down into simple nightclothes. “Are you sure?” she asks. “It seems rude of me to ask you to stay up all night.”

“It’s fine. I usually spend the nights walking anyway to make time towards finding the Golden Fountain,” you say.

“Ah, okay,” says Marigold. “Well, goodnight, Mister Cloak! Be ready, we have some travel ahead of us! Who knows what we’ll meet and what dangers we’ll face!” She giggles a bit as she retreats into her tent.

You sigh. You’d normally spend these nights walking, now you’re stuck with someone who actually has to sleep.

Oh well, it’s pleasant company that you need. You stare up at the stars and wait for her to wake up.

>>32558449
The Kingdom of Therindel is less of a Kingdom and more of a huge confederacy of various fiefdoms, lordships, duchys, principalities, etc. All of whom are in bitter dispute over the succession of the King (Lords are generally ranked by where they are in the line of sucession.) Despite this, they're more or less in a steady agreement to not completely screw each other over due to the constant threat of the Elves to the Woodlands to the East.

Elves in the setting of Valaer are very feared by humans. Over a thousand years ago, Elves attempted to crush a fledgling humanity with a permanent winter, but the King (Whose name is so long that it takes several days to recite) united the warring human tribes to fight the Elves. This culminated at the Battle of Tirinia where the King fell, but ultimately the winter was forced back farther north and the Elves exiled to the Eastern Woodlands of Xalfacia.

Nowadays, nobody's ever actually seen an Elf. Not the Vogelvolk of the Vogelreich, not the Orcs to the West, not the nomadic Dwarves, or the humans, or even the closely related Mermaids.

>>
>>32558588
I was thinking on continuations or just write ups for the two. I'm still of the opinion that Vamp x Wolf would work better as write ups but if enough people want it back, I may consider it.

As for when it takes place, I don't really have a specific year in mind. Think of it like Brave, a fantasy-land Ireland of sorts where Werewolves and Vampires and other beasts and mythical things run amok. It's definitely medieval, just not at a specific point.
>>
>>32558575
Thanks for everything German, I loved this universe, will we get any mention from Norman and Galena in this story?

Also kind of LGA related I have a plan on making some money, but maybe we can help build initiative by having crews raising money to add parts or conversions for their tanks.

>>
>>32558892
I originally was thinking on a female or male MC set straight for the Quest. Either way, the MC would've been bisexual to allow for some interesting options for.

Cloak's gender is indeed ambiguous on purpose because I realized that that probably would've been a stupid idea.
>>
>>32558942
Considering past experience I would agree with you.

How long do you think this will be?

Will His gender be ambigious though this whole quest?
>>
>>32558999
Not sure. Could be five threads like Magic Shop, could be upwards of twenty threads. Really depends on how I pace it and if I can keep ideas flowing for it.

His gender may be ambiguous through the whole Quest. Depends on how one interprets the flashbacks.
>>
>>32558999
I hope it stays ambiguous and he stays incapable of satisfying.

I love waifus but I'm having a lot of fun with the tone going on here.
>>
>>32558942
>>32558999
I think it would be best if Cloak has no gender now. He seems like a man when he was alive. But now He's dead and gender does not matter any more to him. I see it that it keeps the waifu wars down and /u/-boats away.
>>
>>32559075

Also on the LGA front what model is our 76mm gun?

here you go.
>>
>>32559202
Well from what I can gather the Early M4A1 76mm used the turret from the T23 series which would have been the tank to replace the Sherman.

The 76mm also did not have a muzzle break which caused a cloud of dust while firing.

The M4A3 had a engine with better horsepower which made it faster. (I learned this from the Way)

The later models of the 76mm used turrets that was more comfy for the crew and easier for the gun.

The Sherman's armor was angled at 47 degrees which helped with the protection. The M4A1 did not have that feature.

Their might be a few other feature but I need to keep researching/

German's Quest brought out a hidden tank nerd within me and wanted to research more about these tanks.
>>
>>32559352

Interesting.

However the upgrading of the M4A1 is a low priority. 10k+ for a marginal upgrade when we can use the cash for better upgrades.
>>
Anyway, I suppose that's enough for questions. I will be heading to sleep now.

Good night, hope to see you all this weekend.
>>
>>32559282
http://the.shadock.free.fr/sherman_minutia/turret_types/76mm_turrets.html

Found the turret models.

Of course but it will help in terms of revealing positions, and the M1 series were seen as a bit unwieldy for the Sherman thus they replaced it with the M1C and installed a Muzzle break to break away the smoke it dischrages once fired (I hope im using the term correctly)

>>32559393
Perhaps. I'm hoping that with the last upgrades with the add ons we did to the Sherman discounts the Sherman quite a bit for the upgrade though as well as making some money during shoare leave.

I propose to the teams to try to make some money as well which will only be used for their tanks only.

Sell the cookie recipe Dad has to the girl scouts.

Maybe promote the sewing clubs fashion since we might be a town name.

Yea, no. Lets not sell out our family secrets for dosh.

Why not. if we patent it, we can get more funding

We need to money to max out our tanks as much as possible

For one, a cookie recipe isn't patentable. Regardless of how good it is, it isn't a novel recipe enough.

Secondly, its not ours to give. It's dads.

Thirdly, its a family recipe, a family secret. That sort of thing should not be sold.

How is it not Patentable?

We can ask dad.

Was it a family secret, all we know is that dad made it and it was awesome.

Well I'm open to any ideas to raising money.

you could try googling that topic and see where that leads

*Reads a couple of articles*

I see you may have a point there but the recipe itself might a avenue worth exploring. If not as a patent but to help the girl scouts make better cookies thus selling more.

Again, if you think this is not a good idea sorry, but I have been thinking a bit on this since we're on shore leave and could make come money if not sponsors.
