And then you almost get choked when he grabs your tabard and gives it a hard tug, pulling you back to the ground.

"...What?!" You finally manage to mouth, struggling free of the piece of cloth and leaving it in his hands.

You're cut short as he grabs you by the shoulders and drags you down to the floor. "Oh, no, you're not getting away this easily."

That's about when the door slams open.

You both turn to face it. Half-naked, twisted in a tangle of your own armor and clothes.

A tall, powerfully-built woman is standing there, muscular and broad-shouldered, with blonde hair pulled behind her head in an effort to keep it clear of her eyes and not much more. She's wearing a simple light kimono and padded gloves around her closed fists, that look more like battering rams than anything else.

Behind her, slightly hidden by the shadows but still visible to you, you see Five Tails, She seems equal parts horrified and amused.

"...A- Aeka?" Yuumei mumbles.

She sighs. "...Alright. Who is raping who, exactly?" She asks.

"I told you to hold tight." She warns you, as she jumps around city from roof to roof with amazing ease. You finally land on the castle's roof and are dragged, by her, to the infirmary.

Completely true.

The last time the Sun had a major formal religion surrounding it, it was basically invented wholecloth by the Solar Exalted. It was primarily based around trying to earn the Sun's blessings, and consecrating works and locations in His name.

The form for Sun worship that existed prior to that was heavy Aztec-influenced, back during the days of the Dragon Kings - honor duels, sacrifices of living hearts, and other worship. It was primarily based around making sure the sun was given the right power (worship, sacrifice) to make sure he had all the resources he needed to keep reality working right.

Maka, if anything, likely comes from a tradition of worshiping the volcano deities around Gem as a form of bribery to keep the goods flowing and keep the volcanoes from exploding.

Right, but we are in no way obligated to follow that tradition. We probably won't because we know that the UCS doesn't want us to do that. They are generally marginalized, and someone telling them that they are awesome as long as they are being awesome would probably help. I think we should also make a point of getting in good with other non-human races. Dragon Kings, Jadeborn, and whatever others exist in the blank spots on the map in EF's version of Creation.
