A great rumble passes through the sky, almost deafeningly loud, but so low pitched that only the tortoises, elephants, and some young children hear it. Those few children that do look up at the sky and see the first sign of what is to come.

The sky is riddled with cracks, and pieces are falling, leaving only murky blackness behind.

These childrens' cries that "the sky is falling!" are largely ignored, so the children simply go outside and watch as the chunks of blue sky, pieces of white cloud, and even flocks of birds fall, transforming as they approach the ground.

Glowing blue swords, bright white cars, a feathered microwave, a blue toy train. Every bit of sky transforms into just about everything as it falls to the ground.

And then there's you. You come into awareness as you're falling to the earth, a piece of sky transformed into a human being. The first question that pops into your mind as you fall is this:

Who am I?

>A patch of blue sky, transformed into a human.
>A fluffy white cloud, transformed into a human.
>A dark storm cloud, transformed into a human.
>A flock of birds, transformed into a human.

Why not both? For certain definitions of 'human' anyway.

You're a storm cloud, you decide. That would explain the black cloak you have wrapped around yourself, which is your only form of clothing at the moment.

You look down at the ground, and decide that you have another minute or so before you reach the ground.

Looking around, you see a commercial airline off to your left, being pelted by all manner of sky colored objects while descending.

You could probably dive over to the plane and land on it, or you could just wait and hope that you can survive an impact with the ground. Or you could try doing something else entirely.

>Try to land on the plane.

Spreading out your arms and legs, you manage to adjust your fall so that you land on top of the Airplane. You still hit hard enough to wind you, but you're able to recover fairly quickly.

You soon discover why the pilots are making an emergency landing. An entire refrigerator somehow got stuck in one of the turbines, caught between the blades and the casing.

The pilots can probably still land the plane on their own, but it would certainly be dangerous. On the other hand, it would probably be quite dangerous for you to try loosing the fridge. What will you do?

>Head to the wing to try to dislodge the fridge.
>Ignore it. It's none of your business, you just need a ride to the ground.

>>
>>32794783
If an entire refrigerator is stuck in the turbines, those fans are fucked. There's no point removing the fridge.

It would be safer to just help land the plane with regular flying brick powers.
>>
>>32794849
I'm going with this.
>>
>>32794849
not entirely, the intake turbine and its bearings are unsalvageable and fucked beyond measure sure, but the engine interior in the main thrust chambers should be fine except for some titanium fan blades getting thrown around

removing the fridge would help actually, let the air through the engine and clear it out, sure the engine won't be running again, but it won't be getting worse, and the longer its getting worse and worse, the more chances of a fire or catastrophic failure of turbine blades and casings, which is very bad news for the rest of the wing and all the systems that run through it
>>
>>32794883
>chances of a fire
you gotta point there, but is that worth the time spent decelerating the plane ourselves?

Actually, if the guys in the cockpit turn it off, won't the chances of catastrophic failure drastically decrease?
>>
>>32794783
>>Head for the cockpit window.
>>
>>32794905
>Actually, if the guys in the cockpit turn it off, won't the chances of catastrophic failure drastically decrease?
yes, but debris still in the engine does not care whether the engine is turning over or not
>>
>>32794924
so is the time spent removing the fridge worth more than the time spent decelerating the plane?
>>
>>32795008
maybe, maybe not

if the engine is not too badly damaged, just cutting fuel to it and shutting it down should stop it worsening

if the engine is a runaway, then its fucked and the best you can do is close the fuel lines and hope it starves itself before it blows loose

>>32795095

You consider trying to simply support the plane by flying under it, but you aren't sure if you even have flying powers, let alone the strength to hold up an entire airplane.

There's one thing you know though, and that's that your hands feel like they've got 300,000 Volts running through them. You probably shouldn't be touching people for now.

You climb over to the plane's wing, where the fridge is lodged into the jet's intake. You notice people staring out at you from inside the plane. A kid waves at you. You wave a bit awkwardly back.

You can probably reach the fridge, but that would require reaching into the actual jet itself, and you aren't sure if that's entirely safe. Or you could try using your lightning powers, you suppose. What will you do?

>Reach in and try to pull the fridge out. (Roll 1d10)
>Try using your lightning powers on the fridge. (Roll 1d10)

You decide to look for a control panel before trying anything with high-voltage electricity. Better safe than sorry, after all.

You find the control panel with little trouble, and decide to turn off the fuel valve. Then at the very least it'll be a lot harder for the engine to catch fire.

With that precaution dealt with, you head back over to the mouth of the turbine. Your hands still feel charged with electricity, so you point your hands towards the fridge, and concentrate on guiding the lightning to the fridge.

You connect with almost shocking ease, and all of the electricity discharges at once, reducing the fridge to so much superheated mush. A muted cheer erupts from behind you, and you turn to see what must be every passenger on the plane staring at you out the window.

A quick turn of the fuel valve later, and the turbine is up and running again. A bit worse for wear, but certainly a lot better than before.

You head to the emergency door, which is opened by the crowd of passengers inside. Inside, the cheering erupts once again, several passengers giving you handshakes and patting you on the back. Well, at least you've figured out that you won't accidentally vaporize people by shaking their hands.

A woman wearing an ID card that identifies her as "Joana Langley, Reporter" pushes through the crowd, a small voice recorder in her hand. "Joana Langley, and can I just say how thankful we all are for your helping us out there? Because thank you…" She pauses for a moment. "Uh… what should I call you?"

"You can call me Brenna McCloud," you say.

"Well, thank you, Brenna," responds Joana, grinning at you. "Now, we all saw the way you used a lightning bolt to melt that refrigerator. And can I just say, it was just about the coolest thing I've ever seen. Does that have something to do with the recent falling of the sky?"

"I guess it does, seeing as I'm actually one of those pieces of sky."

"Oh wow, that's…" Joana seems quite shocked by this. "That's just… I cannot describe how amazing that is!"

Well, she seems quite impressed by you. Now that you've fixed the airplane, you can anticipate a lot more interviews and congratulations all the way until the plane lands. You consider how best to spend the time.

"Sorry to cut you short, but I can't help but notice that I'm a bit…" you lift your arms, sort of gesturing to the black cloak that's barely keeping you decent, "…underdressed."

Joana looks down in confusion, then lets out a little squeak as she realizes just how close to naked you are. Although she doesn't exactly look away... "Oh, um, sorry, I'll just," she sort of gestures to the side, obviously flustered.

You chuckle. "Why don't you help me get some clothes? I'm not all that clear on the whole 'clothes' thing yet myself."

"Oh, we're about the same size, why don't I give you some of mine?" she says, jumping at the chance to be helpful.

"That would be just wonderful," you say.

The two of you head towards the front of the plane, Joana stiffly trying not to stare at you, while you look appreciatively over her. She's obviously quite fit, but that doesn't detract from her chest or butt all that much.

Soon enough you arrive, and Joana pulls an outfit out of her luggage, primarily black with blue highlights, then after looking back at you and blushing, a bra and panties.

"Um, here you go," she says, handing the clothes to you. But you have other ideas.

"Thanks for all your help," you say. "I don't suppose there's any way I could repay the favor? Maybe with a 'private interview'?" you say, putting extra stress on the last two words.

She looks at you first in disbelief, then when she sees the expression on your face, enthusiasm. "That would be amazing," she says, "in fact, why don't I help you out with those clothes?"

"That would be wonderful."
>>
"Whoa."

"Yeah."

"I mean, that thing you did where your hands went all tingly? That was amazing."

"Yeah."

"So," Joana says, looking inquisitively at you. "You're made of storm clouds huh? What's that like?"

You shrug. "Not that bad, I guess. I mean, for some reason I know stuff, like english and motor skills, but I don't have any actual memories before when I was presumably created."

"Huh, weird," she says. "You know, if you don't have any place to stay, you could stay with me."

You glance over, smiling at the hopeful look on her face. "You sure you're not just saying that so that you have better access to all this?"

"Well yeah obviously that's a part of it, but I mean… I know I've said it a whole bunch of times already, but you're amazing!" She grins broadly. "I mean, you can shoot lightning bolts out of your hands! You saved this entire plane from crashing! I'd willingly have your babies, if that's what you wanted!"

You raise an eyebrow. "Is that a promise?"

She blinks. "Oh wait what? I mean, is that a thing that… Well, I mean, sure, but could it not now? Would that be fine?"

You chuckle a bit. "No, I don't want babies right now. But I will take you up on that offer of a place to stay."

Joana lets out a breath. "Oh thank god. I thought you wanted to use me for breeding some cloud alien army! I mean, not that I'd be against that, but…"

The two of you look at each other and burst out laughing. The two of you quickly get dressed, and get off the plane as it lands.

As you depart, you see a big sign with that you know will be the first four words of the rest of your life.

"Welcome to New York."

End of Session One.
