At the other side of the room, one of the maids politely coughs. You have a feeling it's the one called Amber, the one you've spotted making eyes at Sayaka for a while, too.

"Well, what about you then, Chiaki-san?" Mami gestures to you. "What did you think of Wendy, after spending some time with her in private?"

"Yeah, what did you two talk about?" Sayaka asks. "Or...is that like, super confidential or something like that? In which case, forget it."

Right, but that's on nameless mooks that Decu spends a single sentence discribing. When it comes to "bosses" or things that actually matter we don't exactly have much choice when we have 4 golden weapons and 3 of them are melee. That kind of limits our range to close since it's a pistol.

We really need to improve our combat style. Instead of charging headfirst into everything then standing in the middle of it all, stationary, then dodging at the last moment when they charge is not sufficient. We're a Magical girl, learn to strafe and jump while shooting a la Quake and maneuver so we always have stuff between us and melee users.

Sniper rifles are overrated, barrel length is not linearly proportional to muzzle velocity which directly affects accuracy. Rate of fire and mobility is what is important in an assault. What we need is to get a M2 BMG, chop the barrel down to carbine length, make it feed from as large a magazine as possible and/or directly from the shield and learn to kill things before they get close by kiting. Handloaded subsonic rounds with single shots for medium range so you don't blind/deafen yourself every time you fire and follow up shots are easier, and normal rounds for close range where it will double as a flamethrower.
