Last thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/33097893/

We will now be rolling with this system
100 means critical
80-99 extreme success
60-80 moderate success
40-60 neutral result
20-40 moderate failure
2-20 extreme failure
1 means critfail,
The highest of the first three rolls is chosen, if a critfail is evident then the critfail is chosen. If crit success and critfail is evident then the crit success is chosen.

You snatch the item from its pedestal and take a stop back, dropping into a defensive stance just in case. Nothing happens and after a moment you relax and leave the room. You head back towards the room you retrieved Anima and you can immediately hear the sounds of gunfire coming from beyond the door. It is long distant and the fighting might be done by the time you get there. Quickly glancing around the fallen bodies of your previous foes remain undisturbed as does the deceased Tenno body.

>Rush to the fighting.
>Take your time and examine the bodies of your foes.

Leaping over the corpses you speed through the door and follow the sounds of warfare through a number of hallways and large chambers, the acoustics of the Orokin rooms carry the sounds to you even though they are far away. A thought occurs to you, you haven't heard anything else besides from distant fighting. Just what has happened in your long sleep?

You leap over and slide under numerous obstacles until finally you burst through an open, scorch-marked door and come upon a scene of carnage. The huge room itself has two floors, the bottom floor covers the entirety of the room and has a large number of protruding objects being used for cover by several Tenno as well as more of the same foes you defeated earlier. The second floor consists of a single walkway that surrounds the entire room, on this walkway are a number of the hulking foes, firing down into the melee below. In the center of it all are five Tenno, fighting with blades and guns. Though hopelessly outnumbered, the large mounds of deceased hulking enemies lie as a testament to their power. It is clear that though outnumbered, the Tenno have the upper hand in the fighting.

>Rush to the aid of the Tenno in the centre of the room.
>Climb to the walkway and begin wreaking havoc on the foes above.
>Wait and watch.

I've never played Warframe before but these guise look cool and seemed over powered. I think this might be fun if you stick with it, op. May I suggest you run a little earlier, however? It's about 2:30 in the morning in the greatest country in the world right now.

You see immediately that though the Tenno are winning slightly, they are severely hampered by the constant covering fire from the foes above and the fight would sway much further in their favour if someone distracted the upper level squads.

There is a large storage container in front of you made of perfect marble, gold and steel that would serve as a perfect stepping stone to get you up onto the next level. You run forwards and gather yourself, leaping and running to the top edge of the container. Feeling energy gathering your Frames legs you release it all in a instinctual movement, launching upwards in a graceful backflip. The two squadmen above you are surprised by your sudden appearance and curse in their own tongue, both their weapons track you in trained precision and anyone else would be in dire straights if caught upside down and mid-air.

Yet, you are Tenno.

With lightning fast reflexes you draw your greatsword, and in a single fluid motion slice through the torso of one and smash the weapon from the hands of the other. Moments later you land, as graceful and deadly as a leopard. You roll forwards to the now disarmed squadman and raise you're sword high to cleave him in two when a loud, guttural, commanding voice roars over the din of combat a single word.
"STOP!"
The command came with such force that your blade halts just in time to only slightly cut the neck of your foe. You're faceless gaze bores into the squadman before you and he realizes that he was seconds from death and was saved by the shout of his commander. You both pause in the business of death to look down on the scene below you. You realize that all has stopped as the largest foe you have yet seen strides forth into the centre of the battle. He is tall, imposing, carrying a shotgun in his hands, a cleaver and plasma sword on his hips. It is clear that he commands this force.

It soon becomes apparent that he has also realized what you did the moment you saw the fight. The Tenno were winning. Soon enough he stands before the apparent leader of the Tenno, a small diminutive female figure in a white Excalibur suit with red patterns painted across it. In her hands she holds a white hafted Orthos, chased in red gold with black-metal for the blade.

The commander of the foes speaks in a broken dialect, clearly struggling to speak words the Tenno will understand. His guttural, deep voice make the words sound like growls in his throat.

"Tenno....You are... Blooded, Fang.... You have Honour... You are... here for me!... Leave my....Men... and fight me yourself...... unless, you are scared?" This final provocation was delivered with a rough barking laugh as he threw away his shotgun and drew his sword and cleaver. Wordlessly, the other Tenno, the "Blooded Fangs" sheathed their weapons and sat formally on the floor in a single line to the side of where the duel will take place. It seems their leader had accepted the challenge however that left you in a situation.

You're blade still hovers inches from the bleeding throat of your enemy, his visored gaze once more returned to your own as he wonders what you will do.

You cock your head to the side as you gaze mercilessly at the figure before, what does the honour of these other Tenno mean to you? They had allowed these intruders to profane the sanctity of the Orokin spire. Your head snaps back into position and your greatsword raises high and the squadman sees his death approaching.

Surprisingly, he acts as true warrior. Unarmed, he steps forward and hurls a solid uppercut into your gut, staggering you backwards. He realizes that if you gain momentum it means his death. He is on you as only a trained warrior can be, you feel disgraced, you had dropped your guard, expecting this foe to let death come to him without a fight as so many once did before you. He charges forward and tackles you to the ground, however, you're training and instincts have once again kicked back in. You roll with the tackle, releasing your weapon in the process and grab the armoured chest of your opponent, flinging him backwards but still maintaining a grip on him. This added momentum causes you to continue your roll and places him underneath you. Though clearly trained in a harsh dojo, this warrior does not match your skills in hand to hand combat. He tries to throw a left hook at your face and rather then leaning back with contemptuous ease as you might have done to another foe, you treat this warrior as you might another Tenno. You slam your right foot into the crook of his arm and pin it to the ground, your heavy Warframe serves as enough anchor to maintain your position on top of the warrior. Your hands move like lightning and you take hold of his head in with an iron grip. With a twist of your shoulders you twist his head around so it faces the ground. Standing up from the fallen warrior, you pause a moment to pay your respect, he had fought well for a disarmed opponent and had fought until the end. You retrieve your sword and move to engage the next foe but surprisingly, there is no one else on the walkway with you.
>>
>>33120975
It appeared that the only two that were on the walkway originally were the two you had killed. Glancing down you see the retreating backs of the foes leaving through a main double-door which slides closed behind them. Unsurprisingly, the duel between the two leaders had begun almost instantly and had, quite possibly, masked the sound of the duel above them between you and the fallen warrior.

You move forward to the edge of the rail to watch the duel, though you may not have felt any true loyalty to these Tenno you would never consider interfering between an honour duel between two warriors. The code of honour that had been ingrained into you so deeply allowed for nothing else.

The officer was fast, but the Tenno was faster. She had him on the defensive as she twirled her Orthos in lightning fast, acrobatic attacks. Vaguely, you recognize the stance she is fighting in, Cat Dances in Moonlight.

Her flips and twists and high reaching leaps all deliver stabbing and cutting attacks from all angles. The officer is hard pressed to defend but he does so admirably; though foes, you are beginning respect the martial capabilities of these creatures. Suddenly, the Officer leaps backwards and drops his cleaver, wielding his plasma sword with two hands he launches into the offensive. The added strength of two hands and the sudden attack catches the Tenno by surprise and she is forced to fall back. The Officer once again surprises the assembled Tenno by dropping his sword as he lands a mighty blow on the metal haft of the Orthos. Stepping forward even faster, he places a grip on the Orthos and sends several lightning jabs into the Tenno's face before letting go and launching himself into a violent rising knee. However since he let go of the haft the Tenno flipped backwards but this was what he was waiting for, with the distance between the two fighters suddenly increased the Officer showed his true hand by hurling a high-grade smoke grenade to the ground.

Smoke exploded into a large, dark cloud and moments before all is engulfed in the permeating cloud you spot a glimpse of the female Tenno charging into the smoke, bladed staff whirling in anger at the deceit. However, no sounds of battle can be heard and soon enough, the smoke clears. The officer was gone and the Tenno was standing impotently where he once was, slowly rocking on her heels in a seething anger. As fluid as water the kneeling Tenno stand, blades gliding into their hands as they look to their leader, waiting for the hunt to resume, this time they know that their would be no honour duel. She waves her hand sharply in a cutting motion as though to punctuate words unsaid and suddenly, the room is heavy with tension. Each Tenno has frozen solid and a pin drop would seem loud in the all encompassing quiet. It seems they know something is wrong, perhaps they feel your gaze upon them, perhaps one of them heard your fight with the warrior but you have a feeling they know you are there.

Suddenly, they explode into motion, scattering beneath you, climbing up the walls and hurling themselves up to the walkway, they are searching for something and will undoubtedly find you in mere moments.

Abruptly you realize you truly know nothing about these Tenno, their Clan. How will the react to an unknown Tenno in their prescence? Ages long past would have you believe that they would welcome you but time erodes all and the idea of fighting five highly-trained Tenno at once was not an attractive one. You have mere seconds to decide, flee or stand your ground?

Realizing you had dropped into a defensive stance at the sudden explosion of movement amid the tense atmosphere, you stand up tall and proudly, hands clasped behind your back. These are Tenno, they only reacted with that violent explosion of movement because they could feel an unknown presence amongst them. Surely once they saw you were one of them they would realize you were an ally.

Within moments you are surrounded, the Tenno still have their blades drawn and you suddenly feel less certain about their well-meaning intent. Two stand before you and one on either side, perched on the railing. They stare at you, emotionless; with every fiber of their being ready to explode into dangerous action. You begin to feel slightly threatened, in danger, when their leader appears from behind one the protrusions from the wall. She holds her Orthos casually slanted down; once again you recognise the stance: Tiger in the Rushes. A defensive posture, ready to fly into offense at a moments notice. She walks towards you briskly and you immediately recognize the threat you are in. Mentally, you visualize the orb of control her Orthos gives her, the orb represents how far her weapon can extend. It was a trick your Sensei taught you when you were but a youngling, "Know your enemy and they cannot harm you, know their reach and they cannot touch you."

Your hand slowly rises to Anima resting on your back and you can feel her, your blade rising to the challenge, oddly, you recognize the feeling as a subconscious urge to test your skills against this Tenno.

The Tenno sees your movement and her Orthos immediately swings up into yet another stance: Pikeman behind the Wall: A stabbing stance, ideal for mutilating enemies at a distance. You're hand grips your blade and it seems that you are mere moments away from having the fight of your life when, like the lightning strike of a vengeful god, a blue hafted arrow pierces the ground between you and her..

All of you whirl, instinctually tracing the trajectory of the arrow to find where it was launched from. There, high in the plethora of piping and vent systems above, lazes yet another Tenno, bow at his side. His Warframe is more traditional then the Excalibur suits of your own and the other Tenno, ridged shoulder plates surround an imposing torso. His armoured shoulders, helmet and leggings are the deep blue of the ocean and the rest of his suit is a piercing white, akin to lightning.

Legs sprawled beneath him he sat watching the scene below him. Slowly, he slumped forward and simply fell to the ground as though it was boring. He twisted around in mid air and landed lightly, contemptuously. Swaggering his way over to the other group, all eyes were on him, eventually he reached the center, standing between you and the leader of the other Tenno. Nonchalantly he reached down and plucked the arrow from the ground, twirling it in his fingers as he placed it back in his quiver. Standing up tall, he turned his back on you to stare down the female Tenno.

"Lightning Claw!" One of the Tenno perched on the railing growls, gripping his blade tightly.

"What are you doing here, Claw?" Another demands angrily. The "Claw" turns lazily and is clearly amused at the demanding nature of the two young Tenno.

"Be at easy pups," he said slightly mockingly, "I only showed myself to stop you from harming yourselves on our brother here." With that, he tosses a finger in your direction.

The assembled Tenno, aside from yourself and the female leader growl in anger at his mocking tone. You notice to your slight dicomfort that the female was now looking at you curiously because of the assertion by the "Claw" that the squad would have taken damage dispatching you. Suddenly, you see her shake herself and look at the Claw suspiciously.
"Why ARE you here Claw?" She asks quietly. Unlike the others under her command she appears to be in full control of her emotions.
"Looking for technology to thieve?" She continued.

Okay, maybe not FULL control.

The Claw laughs and responds.
"Why, hunting Grineer! Just like you." His bow hangs easily by his side but you notice he has an arrow knocked to the string. Clearly things are not as you had expected them to be regarding the Tenno Clans.

This thought if further compounded when one of the youngling Tenno raises his weapon angrily, growling "Lies!" at the Claw.

Immediately, the female Tenno's head snaps toward the offending youngling and quiet menace enters her voice. "The honour of Lightning Claw is above reproach. If he says he is here hunting Grineer then we will believe that.
Ashamed, the youngling drops his weapon and bows to his leader, face downcast he refused to look at anyone else. Everyone dismissed him from thought lest they compound his shame.

The Claw looked towards to the lead Tenno and nodded his gratitude. "As expected from Ashara of the Blooded Claw, you teach discipline well." The Tenno, 'Ashara', nodded in turn. Relaxing slightly she sheathed her weapon.

"You are Yayne are you not?" She asked. "I have heard of you.

Nodding, yet again with an ease that belied arrogance he replied. "I am he."

Ashara turned and gestured towards you.

"Do you know him? He isn't affiliated." She said. You had taken the chance to properly survey these other Tenno as the two had their conversation. Each of them seemed to have glowing badges over their right arm signifying some kind of allegiance. The five Tenno that you had came across first each had a fang dripping with blood and the 'Yayne' had lightning that shaped into a claw. You understood that because you lacked a badge, you were not affiliated.

"I do not know him, yet I have been watching him awhile. He carved through an entire squad of Grineer Lancers only mere minutes ago by himself, not only that, he was assisting you in the battle just now, see here? Can any of you remember killing these two Lancers?" He gestured towards the two dead that you had caused. Slowly he folded his arms before him in a disapproving stance. "And you were about to attack him." He said coldly.

To your surprise, the Tenno all stiffened in horror. As one the four younglings feel to their knees and bowed their heads before you.
Ashara herself had bowed from the waist until she was almost at a right angle.
"Apologies, brother. We had no true right to act the way we did." She almost whispered. The five remained motionless and their regret seemed genuine. They were waiting for your response.

After a moments consideration you decide to remain silent. You're voice still hasn't recovered from your long sleep and it wouldn't do to let them know how little you remembered.

The five remained motionless until the Claw snorted and said "Oh, stand up Ashara and you too younglings. Use your eyes and your head. An unaffiliated Tenno with no Clan Markings at all simply appearing on an OROKIN spire? I expect they woke up only moments ago and are still experiencing the Awakening. Im sure you all remember your own, I remember mine, I was barely able to speak for days and my memories took longer still to return." Abruptly he stopped and looked at you askance. "I wasn't even able to move for a week." Suddenly, all the Tenno look up at you again, this time extreme wariness creeping across their bodies as they realise the import of what Yayne had been saying. He had just watched you carve through an entire squad by yourself when you should still be experiencing the Awakening. You shouldn't be able to move yet there were two corpses nearby and the simple fact of your presence that proved you were indeed capable of lethal movement.

"That...Shouldn't be possible." Ashara breathed. Yayne snorted.
"Regardless, I expect he doesn't remember much of anything. He would have come from deep within the Spire itself, we cleared this place of sleeping Tenno long ago did we not?" This time Ashara took a step back from you, if you didn't know better you would have said she was afraid. Clearly there was more meaning to this then you originally thought. Before you could consider this further Yayne asked you a question that troubled you deeply.

You consider Yayne's question thoughtfully. He was right when he said you remembered almost nothing, you didn't even know your birthname. Yet.... Realization dawns on you. You have a name. The only name you need.
"Tenno?" You manage to croak out, at once an answer and a question. Your voice is ragged and gravelly and it hurts to speak, as though you have a too-dry throat. You know that in time you will be able to orate with the best of them but right now, it would be best to rest your voice lest you damage it irrepairably.

Yayne appears confused, yet Ashara is nodding in understanding. Of the two, you get the feeling that Ashara understands the Way deeper then the most.

The "Way"? You ponder, yet another fragment of memories long past drifting up to your subconscious slipping into your thoughts. The Way of the Warrior? Yes. It was a path you once adhered to zealously, yet times change. Your lack of memories allowed you once more to choose your own path, to create your own Way.

Artisan, Warrior, Philosopher. The words by themselves are aught but dust, yet you know your actions will pull you down the paths, that others will give you titles and names. Yet all you truly need is the way of the Tenno.

"Tenno." You croak once again, firmer this time, nodding determinedly. Yayne scratches his head and shrugs, Ashara nods knowingly.

"Well Tenno," Yayne begins, "I suppose you can choose a real name later if you wish." You look at him, slightly irritated. 'Tenno' was all anyone should need. "Regardless of that, I imagine you have gaping holes in your memories? Or no memories at all?" He barely waited for your curt nod before continuing.
"Well, someone is going to need to shelter you, bring you up to speed so to speak. The Lotus will wish to speak to you as well as she always wishes to do with new finds, where better then at the Observatory with m-" He was about to ask when Ashara cut in.

"Us. With Us." She said, again in that half whisper. That quiet tone that demanded silence and attention. "The Citadel is always welcome to new brothers. A place to find your feet amongst those who follow tradition. To begin training anew, if needed. The Blooded Fang welcome all." It seemed that speaking was a huge effort for her, not that it was painful, simply that she rarely did so. Yayne was shaking his head at you emphatically.
"The Citadel!?" He all but laughed. "That hulking behemoth? By the Lotus, you would have him sitting in water gardens, meditation chambers, listening to that ridiculous flute music waiting for days before someone who actually knows things to come and show him whats what? Best he come with me to the Observatory, we have the best information readily available for almost all Tenno who wish to see it. Why go to a broken down relic of the past like The Citadel? Best you come with me." He finished, once again nodding in a satisfied manner, content and feeling that he had the upper hand in the conversation. Ashara shook her head sadly.
"Poor. Poor Claw. The Citadel follows the old ways, of tradition. It is a true shame that you do not appreciate it. Yet you would have Tenno believe...that we aren't capable of supplying him? With information or whatever else he may yet require?" She said, her voice like soft velvet. "It is true that we use space for Water Gardens and places for quiet contemplation, it is traditional after all. What better way to cleanse oneself of the rigors of combat then the soothing sound of quiet, running water. You speak as though... The Citadel is a toothless construct? We are the Blooded Fang, Claw. Our very blood sings for combat, you think our home would lack the essentials for training? We have all that we need." She finished. Nodding, much the same as Yayne, in satisfaction.

"The Citadel is NOT the place for him." Yayne cut in.

"You would brainwash every new Tenno, fresh Awakened, into following the Old Ways. The galaxy has changed since we last walked the stars, we must embrace new discoveries, not hide behind tradition!" He said angrily. Ashara's reply was curt and irritated.

"You think we HIDE behind tradition?" She whispered, voice filled with quiet menace. "That tradition has guided us for generations, centuries even. You think we, what? Dismiss discoveries out of hand? Nonsense. We simply hold them up to the standards of old, if they do not follow the Tenno way, we discard them." She continued.

"We should make use of everything we can! What is the point of tradition if it costs us all? You would have the Claw abandon our research simply because you don't agree with it? Nonsense!" Yayne said, loudly. It seemed like a discussion that had been repeated often, perhaps not always between the two of them specifically but often nonetheless. Yayne opened his mouth to continue but Ashara cut in.

"Enough, Claw. We are discussing the pros and cons of tradition versus your "progression." With this said, she turned to you. "Tenno, you must choose, will you come with me and mine to The Citadel? I apologize again for our shameful display, we acted in haste." She said, bowing again.

"Or you can come with me!" Yayne cut in, stepping forward, in front of Ashara. "The Observatory is home of the Lightning Claw, forget about these Fangs and their dusty old Citadel. Come with me!" He said encouragingly.

Ashara stepped up besides him, silent but for a murmured "Or with me." They both stand quietly, waiting for your decision.

Shaking your head at both of them you take a step back, edging closer to the railing. Subconsciously you are looking for a way to make a dramatic exit, you have vague memories of immense satisfaction at falling off impossibly high areas and disappearing as a way off finishing a conversation.

Still shaking your head, you reach around behind you to your Warframes item pouch and you pull out the the item you took from the treasure room earlier. It was some kind of oval shaped metal egg with a distended end. it was clearly electronic in nature and you could feel a faint power humming throughout it. Looking at it you realise there is still much to learn here in this "Orokin Spire". Shaking your head once again you look up at the two before you and manage to croak out a single word. "No...."

The effect was immediate and twofold. Both Ashara and Yayne's gazes had been riveted by the treasure you held aloft and they both asked the same question.
"Where did you get that?" Ashara breathed almost reverently, staring at the item.
"That thing! We need it!" Yayne said excitedly. Then, as one, their heads snapped up as they heard your refusal. They took deep breaths and said as one.
"Go with Ashara then! At least leave this place!" Yayne said in worried tones.
"Go with the Claw then, at least leave, please." Ashara said. The two paused, looking askance at the other then Yayne stepped forward and explained.
This place, this Spire, everything you see is in The Void. It takes immense effort to be able to come here and the only way to leave is to have a key to enter, like the two of us do." As he said this he produced a golden key and waved it around. "Without this key you'll be stuck here forever." He said as he deposited it back in his pouch. You hesitate before readying yourself to reply, you could always find a key inside the Spire and leave that way after. Besides, worst comes to worst you'll simply leave with other Tenno that come.
>>
>>33123003
Time to hunt for key
>>
>>33123032
Agreed
>>
>>33123003
Yayne sees your hesitation and jumps back in.
"And dont you dare think you can find your own way out, or wait for another group of Tenno. The Void is so vast and uncharted that none of us know how many Spires there are. You could be here for centuries before another Tenno finds their way to you. Do you have provisions for that? Food? Drink? In all our experiences on these towers not one of us in our current living history have ever found a way out besides the way in we used. Those ways in have always been these keys." Once more he proferred the key.
"Frankly, and I am sure Ashara would agree," he said and Ashara nodded emphatically. "We don't care who you go with so long as you leave this place. Tenno found in Cryosleep are rare and precious and the chance for you to join the Clans and the rest of the Tenno must not be passed up. If you're worried about being pressganged into an alliance or Clan know this, not one of us would pressure you beyond asking. Lightning Claw might be seeking a new way but we respect old traditions enough to never force Tenno to join clans.

Please Tenno, come with one of us. Please choose." Yayne finished.

"Yes. Please.. Choose." Ashara added.

Yayne was right, you don't have provisions, nor do you know where you are. If everything else he said is true it seemed these two were your only way out of this place. All things considered it was an incredible chance of fate that not one, but two groups of Tenno were here to even offer you a choice in where you want to go. It could have been a horde of those 'Grineer' after all, come to kidnap you.

You know you must choose.

Im not trying to railroad here guys. I think canonically that what Yayne is saying is truth. I've never received a key inside a spire in game and reading through the lore I haven't seen any of it. Besides that, you are woefully unprepared for a massive solo expedition into an Orokin Spire. Join or build a clan first, get some connections to the Tenno, Red Veil, Grineer, Corpus, manipulate the Infested. Build up a powerbase first before aiming for Orokin Spire territory, this is end-game tier stuff.

Replacing the item in your pack, you step forward and bow to Yayne deeply.
"Thank...You." You manage to croak respectfully before turning on your heel and walking up to Ashara. You can't tell for sure but you are certain she is beaming as waves of satisfaction roll off her. Surprisingly, Yayne seems happy at this outcome. It seems that he was genuine when he said he was happy as long as you left. He bowed to you respectfully and said "Until we meet again, Tenno." Turning, he disappeared into a cloud of smoke. The four Fang younglings remain kneeling waiting for their leaders command. Ashara stands there looking at you, one hand on her hip, the other tapping her jaw thoughtfully. Soon enough she stands up straight and nods at you.
"You won't regret it." She says warmly. "Come," she gestures to you. "It is time to go." She produces her own key. The four younglings rise gracefully and move toward her then pause as she tenses.
"Where is Emaria?" She asks, looking around. "I expected her to arrive at any time now." The four younglings look troubled and you immediately remember feeling a sense of recognition when you saw their Clan Badge. It was the exact same badge you saw on the fallen Tenno in the room that Anima was held in.

You will lead them to the body in but a moment yet you must decide, will you show them the hall you came from with the carved story? Will you show them the treasure room? Undoubtedly there will be no coming back to this place when you leave.

>Tenno honour, ingrained deeply within you, demands you show them the body of their fallen.

Backing away from the group, you Ashara cock her head at you curiously. You couldn't possible have changed you mind, surely?

Smiling inwardly, you feel your hip back into the railing. You wave a hand and croak out, "Come". The request made, you fall backwards over the railing dramatically and land gracefully on the marble flooring below. You hear a startled oath from above and you truly do smile this time. Was that Ashara? You feel strength gathering in your legs and the desire to run fills you deeply. You spent so long asleep, it was time to stretch your legs and test the speeds of your companions. You take a step and accelerate into a dead run, leaping, weaving and sliding under obstacles. You don't need to see, only hear the slight thuds of feet hitting marble to know that the others are hard on your heels. You are enjoying yourself so much you begin to increase the difficulty for yourself, you occasionally imagine harder obstacles and soon enough you are flipping you're way over death traps, wall-running over pitfalls and generally having a good time, the way only a Tenno can.

Ashara led the way, following the mysterious Tenno as he showed remarkable acrobatics skill, the younglings had taken to this game with great gusto and were attempting to mimic his movements as perfectly as possible, soon enough it was a line of Tenno rolling, flipping, whirling and sliding through golden, marble halls and rooms.Yet it was not enough, Tenno, as he called himself, was very fast. Too fast for a fresh Awakened and soon enough only Ashara was following his movements perfectly and even then, she was falling behind. The younglings had happened their attempts at perfect precision in favour of faster movement to keep up with Ashara. Up ahead, Tenno disappeared around a corner and Ashara felt a spike of alarm, what if she lost him?
>>
>>33123290
Keep in mind, if you become a traitor-esque Tenno you will essentially be turning your back on all Tenno. Tenno honour is Tenno life.

Do you really, REALLY want a race of demi-gods made of steel and bullets not liking you?
>>
>>33123347
He's a rogue element. We're more realistic than most tenno I think.
>>
>>33123347
It's more a "Tenno honor means little, but we are still Tenno"
We are not bound by it, but we adhere to it due to it being the right thing to do
>>
>>33123335
Abandoning decorum she simply did as the younglings did and moved as fast as possible; she slid around the corner gracelessly and was surprised to see mid-way down the corridor Tenno, sitting formally. Feet under him, hands on legs, seemingly in meditation. Beside him was an open door and hanging out of the door was the limp form of a Grineer Lancer. Slowing down she moved up and past Tenno, into the room.

You sit, heart beating calmly, your muscles warm and quivering with the joy of use after such a long sleep. The younglings did well, something tells you, they managed to keep up a fair distance. For some reason you feel that is strange, a thought rises unbidden, you must have gotten weak in your cryosleep. Surprised at yourself you begin to realize that you have high expectations on your own abilities. These expectations seem to stem from past memories of your own feats. Once again you wonder about your own past. Your introspection prevents you from seeing Ashara's graceless slide around the corner but you look up when she walks past you into the room. You remain seated as the younglings file past you, only rising when a shouted cry of despair echoes from within.

One of the younglings is kneeling next to the fallen Tenno, one hand on her forehead, the other clasped firmly in his lap. His shoulders shake in silent grief. The other Tenno stand a ways back. Ashara walks up to you and places a hand on your shoulder. She glances at the grieving Tenno and whispers to you "Sister."

You nod in understanding, it was rare for Tenno to have siblings but they were bonded even deeper then most Tenno are to each other. It was custom and tradition that Tenno with deep attachment to each other were given a moment of solitude to say farewell and harden themselves after baring their pain to the world.

You realize that the other Fang younglings have no idea what to do now and Ashara will simply have you all wait outside for the appropriate time to pass.
>>
>>33123413
You know that true solititude means absolute quiet, with no one around to hear your screams of anguish and pain. How you know, you do not want to dwell on it. You feel a spike of fear at the thought of deep familiarity with the Ceremony of Farewell, as though you had lived it yourself. Perhaps gaining all your lost memories might not be the best idea. Regardless you know you should lead the others far away and return later to retrieve the grieving Tenno and his blood sister.

You look up and are shocked to find that the wall from which you originally walked out to claim Anima is seamless. There is no indication of a door on the wall. Taking the Tenno to the Engraved walls is now a non-possibility. The urgency of the need for solitude still present in your mind you dismiss the matter as irrelevant. Whirling around you stalk from the room motioning to Ashara and softly whispering "Come" once more. Ashara only nodded understanding and walked outside, before doing so she glanced at the other younglings and they stiffened and came as well. It seemed there was some kind of non-verbal communication taking place, had Tenno technology progressed since your time?

Regardless, Ashara seems surprised when you keep moving and you turn back to her motioning to her and the younglings. "Come, come" You say as you walk briskly to where you remembered the room to be. No running this time, you want to give the youngling enough time to vent and harden himself.

Behind you all, a long, piercing wail rises from the room and seems to stretch on and on into the Orokin Spire. The haunting sound is akin to the scream of the damned. You hardly falter in your walk, he will harden, you think to yourself. He must, or be destroyed by the memories.
>>
>>33123473
Soon enough you walk beyond the reach of the wail and you eventually come to the Golden room. You step up to the door and gesture to Ashara, she hesitates only a moment before entering. Once she steps through, you hear her gasp in wonder.

As you enter behind her you see her standing near the center of the room, slowly spinning on her heel to examine its contents. You notice a few things you had missed earlier, or had dismissed out of hand. Their were swords scattered throughout the vault. Orokin made without a doubt, you wonder why you hadn't noticed them before then you realize that Anima is all the sword you need. For some reason the idea of holding a sword other then Anima when she is close at hand is anathema to you.

The younglings enter and are immediately awe struck at the plethora of treasure before them. Ashara was about to gesture but hesitated then turned and walked up to you.

"You..." She began. "You found this, is there anything you want from here? My clan could make great use of the tools and resources here. We would be indebted to you if you allowed us to have it. The find is yours however, and it is yours to do with as you wish.

Thinking on her words, you realize that the treasure is practically useless for you right now. You could, maybe, eventually, return and properly claim it for yourself and any other you wish to give it too yet that possibility that you would never have the ability to return is very real.

>Do you keep the treasure for yourself, even though you wont be able to use it for a long time, possibly never?
>Do you give it to Ashara and her clan?
>Other?
>>
>>33123528
>Do you give it to Ashara and her clan?

>>
>>33123528
>Do you give it to Ashara and her clan?

We might never find a key to here, and her clan already has one, may as well give it to her.

Also, we'll probably get some kind of reward.

>>
>>33123541
>>33123555
You gesture to everything that surrounds you and shrug. You manage to growl out "All......yours....Ash..Ara...." and to your surprise she actually jumps into the air and laughs. Before you can do anything else she turns around and pulls what appears to be a grenade out of one of her pouches. Thumbing the activation beacon she hurls the grenade deep into the treasury. You look at her aghast at what she just did. She grabs you and hauls you bodily through the entrance, the younglings are just in time to dive through the door and slam it shut before you feel and hear a dull thud reverberate throughout the walling. Moments later the door buckles outwards as a huge, powerful force slams into it, you hear metal screeching and wind howling from the other side of the door and it seems that only seconds pass before the rising crescendo of shrieking metal howling winds ends.

You look at Ashara as though she is insane, cocking your head slightly at her apparent destruction of a room full of treasure. She had pulled out two more of the grenades and was casually juggling them as the younglings opened the door again. You stepped up besides them expecting a scene of carnage and destroyed resources.

What a waste.
>>
>>33123619
The younglings open the door and your groan turns into a startled gurgle of amazement. The walls and floors are scored with deep gouges and scorch marks but the destruction of resources and weapons you had expected was nowhere to be seen.

You step into the room incredulously then whirl angrily when you hear choked off laughter. One of the younglings was rolling on the floor in quiet laughter at your reaction, two others were doubled over, clutching at each in shared, quiet mirth. Ashara tossed one of the grenades to you and continued to bounce the other. You snatch it out of the air after seeing it wasn't armed. You look at her and take in her air of satisfaction as she explains.

"Transdimensional Grenades... Courtesy of our Lightning Claw friends at...The Observatory." She held a finger to where her lips would be behind her helmet and whispered.
"Shh... Don't tell them we have them, they don't know we....Liberated the plans." At that, her decorum broke and her shoulders began to shake as she laughed internally.
"You should have seen....yourself." She giggled. Slightly miffed, you stalked past her head held high but you can't help a smile creep across your face. This was undoubtedly payback for leaving them in your dust moments earlier.

Shaking your head, you gurgle in laughter, shrug and motion for her to lead the way. You begin a slow walk back to the room Anima was held in.
>>
>>33123673
As you file in behind Ashara, you come upon a sight you had expected. The youngling sat formally beside the corpse. He was no longer heaving in grief and seemed to be meditating. Ashara walked up to him and touched his shoulder, he jumped ever so slightly in startlement then settled when Ashara began to murmur to him. She sat down next to him to talk and the other younglings moved off to the side to leave their peer and teacher in peace.

You know it wouldn't do to interrupt a master-pupil discussion of such a grave matter.

You walk off to one side, seperate from the others and kneel down, feet beneath you and hands clasped together in front of you as you quietly contemplate the past events. You feel rested almost immediately and begin to scan the flawless wall you originally walked out of. There was no indication at all that there was in fact a hidden hall beyond the wall, there were nothing on the wall, no seam, no lantern bracket, nothing that could be construed as a hidden lever. There were no faint markings that indicate a pressure plate and so the only conclusion you could come to was the fact that it could only possibly be opened from the inside.

As you ponder this thought, Ashara and the youngling stand up smoothly. You realize it is time to leave. Ashara produces two small cylinders that extend with a twist, a hiss of compressed gas and a sharp click. Quickly and efficiently she pulls out a thin piece of cloth that quickly unfolds into a very long piece of cloth. She threads this cloth through the two metal rods and you see that she has made a stretcher. Assigning two of the younglings to shift the body and hold the stretcher, she beckons calmly for you to join them. Soon enough you are all clustered close together and she once again produces her Golden Key.

She uses both her hands and presses several hidden keys on the Key itself and then hold it face outwards above her head. You stare wonderingly at the key when an explosion of golden energy floods from her hands and envelopes you all in white, blinding light. You feel a slight nausea as well as a warmth that could be called discomforting and it feels that almost as soon as it started it was over. You gaze around you in wonderment as the solid white marble and gold inlay of the Orokin Spire had been replaced by a gigantic, thickly forested jungle.

Ashara sees your wandering gaze and walks up to.

"Welcome...To Earth.... Tenno."

And thats it for storytime today folks, tune in tomorrow for more.

General discussion time now: What do you guys want to see and what should I expect from you guys?

Anything you want to know?
>>
>>33123814
Will there be a Qt Valk later?
Also, Frost X Ember OTP 'cause I'm a huge faggot.
>>
>>33123814
You should expect us going full lone wolf forever.
That or waifuing someone
>>
>>33123817
There might a Valkyr later on, it'll depend on how the story progresses and what the players want to do.

It'll depend on how the story progresses. Like I said earlier im going to be fast and loose with my own story here, there might be an overarcing plot that the players can follow all they can throw it all away with "Fuck that: We Tenno Imperium now"
>>
>>33123824
I'll say it now man, you guys can try and lone wolf it as much as you want but the true power comes from Clans.

I honestly expected you guys to dive on a chance to build a Samurai Clan of imperialistic zealots who would follow you to the end of the universe.
>>
>>33123855
It's Waiframe time now.
All buts are belong to us.
Maybe.
>>
The Corpus, Grineer, Red Veil and Tenno all have their own interweaving factions. It'll be up to you guys, the players, to discern what these factions are and figure out how to manipulate them to your will. The Lotus will also arrive soon enough.

Stalker is of course, around. He might make an appearance.

Then again. He might not.

I get the feeling Stalker does whatever the fuck he please.
>>
>>33123862
Anything ya'll want to know about the overarcing Empires? I'll give you basic information that anyone in the Universe would know. I wont drop hints about direct plot lines and things like that nor will I directly give away information related to specific factions within the Empires.
>>
Time for a harem clan.
>>
>>33123869
Could you talk about the Red Veil a little?
As well as manipulating the infested as you mentioned before.
>>
OP? Where did you go?
>>
>>33123915
>>33124052
Sorry. Was playing Warframe actually, gotta build dat Dojo son.

Anyway, from what I understand of the Red Veil game-lore wise they are a multitude of factions all meshed into one. Grineer, Corpus, Human, dissenters, rebels, idealists etc etc.

Game wise, they don't have much impact on you.
Lore Wise they openly ally themselves with the Tenno and want to bring piece to the galaxy.

Quest Wise: Well....Shady organisations shrouded in mystery that take members from all walks of life? You can bet your ass they are going to appear from time to time.
>>
>>33123915
Manipulating the infested: At a basic level, essentially, throwing a hive-egg at an enemy base and watching the base be enveloped in Infested goodness.

At a higher level, who knows? There might be sentient infestations there might not be. Some might want to bargain, some might want to dominate all the worlds life form and converge into titanic behemoths of flesh and cyclopean madness.
>>
>>33124088
>>33124105
By the way, could you establish the role of the Lotus in this quest?
As well as why we didn't spawn with a radio
>>
>>33123915
In the end, make suggestions during the thread about what you want Tenno to do and I'll see what I can do about implementing it. If you want him to become a Ronin then by all means, walk him down that path. If you want to join a Clan and help bring it to greatness, by all means join a Clan. If you want to become a Clanlord, found a Clan and build your Dojo. The skies the limit as far as im concerned.

But heres the warning, if you guys decide to do things that I, as the QM, feels would besmirch the honour of the Tenno, like say: Murdering a bunch of Tenno operatives because "Muh clan best" "Muh weapons" "Muh murderboner" Then you can bet your ass Tenno Assassins and maybe Stalker turns up to rip your anus out through your stomach.

In other words I wont really restrict what you guys can and want to do, just understand that your actions will have long and far reaching consequences.

Example A: The treasury you gave to Blooded Fang this thread is going to boost their strength a little, slightly tipping the balance of power between Fang and Claw clans.
If this precarious balance tips too far one way one of several things might happen: Tenno Civil War, Clan Collapse, Clan leadership change, Clans mentality changes, etc etc. Consider each action you take as something I can and might come back at you for.

Another thing, if you guys play an honourable Samurai throughout the entire quest then all of a sudden switch to "Lets murderbone everything" my inner bard will be so outraged by that terrible story telling I might become to depressed to continue the story. Once you guys start down a path with character progression I'll want you to stick with it and not arbitrarily chop and change.

This of course does not include momentous, life changing situations etc.

Sound fair?
>>
>>33124135
I will get to that but I hinted at it by pointing out some kind of non-verbal communication between the Fang Tenno that 'Tenno' couldn't hear.

Im still tossing up on how I want to represent the Lotus. There are a number of ways I could take it, Mother, Manipulator, Figurehead, Monarch, Religious Monarch, A Cult etc etc.
>>
>>33124144
I'm pretty sure we won't do murderboner everything.
Hell, we didn't try to murder any other Tenno yet.
Also, >>33123910 has a point, how do relationships work?
>>
>>33124185
I think a better question to ask on a harem clan is. Do we really want to have one made of super ninja samurai killers that might kill us if we mess up? I mean its all good to have some risk but still.
>>
>>33124185
They'll be in it but I want you guys to dismiss the idea of "Everyone wants muh D". There will be plenty free ass, I mean, you are a hardcore Samurai Space Ninja. Yet if you expect someone like Ashara to fall over herself asking after your D you've got another thing coming.

Essentially, chase after someone and I'll weigh their character and your character and see if there is the possibility of a connection. Tenno culture is very reserved after all.

If you want loads of puss then wait until the Red Veil headquarters and faction is fleshed out a bit more.

A Harem could be a thing, it'll depend on character and story progression. A lot of things are up in the air now.

For example, if you are Emperor of the Tenno/Red Veil alliance and drive all your foes before them then fuck yes you get a Harem you're the Emperor.

If you are a dirt-low Ronin with shit for honour then only other people with shit for honour will seek you for companionship.

Inb4 this becomes Emperor Tenno Quest simply because players want a plethora of Dat Ass at hand at all times

>>
>>33124218

So are you going to completely stick with canon or will you keep worldbuilding to fill in the gaps left by DE?

Because it would take forever for those lazy assholes to do anything about the lore. And besides, I'd like to see you create other groups not related to the corpus or grineer. Maybe some Martian Fremen tribes fighting the Grineer like the Afghans against the Soviets. Or some cyberpunk shit going on in the underclass sections of corpus cities.
>>
>>33124331
I'll definetly be fleshing out the world more.
Like those Tenno Martial stances I threw in and that Ceremony of Farewell. Expect to see more bullshit like that.

Already got something in the works for the Corpus, I expect a new religion is going to burn through those bastards like wildfire soon enough.

I've thrown a few ideas around for factions inside the various factions but in the end it is all still up in the air until the players decide on a direction they want to take. There isnt any real point in fleshing out huge, wide stretching events that change the galaxy on Empire scales if all the players want to do muck around assassinating people. Its entirely going to depend on you guys and what you want. If you want a little Civ/Empire/Clan building in it, then simply start moving in that direction, I'll see it and start thinking of challenges and hierarchies and things. If you guys aim to explore the Grineer Empire's upper echelons/scum cities then I'll to do some world building.

Right now it is too early to tell, a lot of people seem to be leaning towards lone-wolfing it which is not what I expected from this sort of setting.

I don't mind staying with the clan and supporting them, but becoming ruler seems like it'll get a bit boring after micromanaging all the shit. Distancing ourselves from all the others gives us more opportunity.
>>
>>33124366
Quick question on the quest, since I barely played much on the game, but how does changing suits play out? unless we stay Excalibur for the whole thing, will is it a simple change? or is it more complicated lore wise?
>>
>>33124396
Thats fair man but at the same time, being the Clan Lord doesn't mean you HAVE to micromanage everything. Thats what an adjutant and generals are for.

If you want to be Warlord of a Clan but still be on the frontlines then all you have to do is throw it in as a suggestion and I'll develop the story so it aims towards that. Thats why I keep adding >Other to the options just to see what you guys can come up with.
>>
>>33124366
You know I think I prefer going Space Usagi Yojimo as appose to dojo managing.

Well, either that or we find a Tenno shota and become space Lone Wolf and Cub.

I genuinely have no idea how it plays out lore-wise. It is fairly vague, I think, judging by the gender-specific descriptions that game-wise when you change suits you also change gender.

Which is ridiculous and isn't going to pan out like that in the story.

For the most part Warframes are just that, Frames to place around your body. They boost your strength immensely and allow for superhuman feats and magical-esque abilities but in the end they are just suits.

I might take soul-forging as an option where personalities are bound to items such as greatswords and things along that line.

Excalibur is just a basic suit, mass-produced by the Orokin and then mass-produced by the Tenno Artisans. It is what all initiates wear and utilitarian enough to be of use in most situations. Some Clan Lords/Dojo Masters use them showing that it isnt just a plebsuit. Its a hardcore lethal weapon.

The other suit variants are much, MUCH rarer then they are in the game. They'll take extensive research and manpower on behalf of a clan to develop one. A lot of the ideas I had were Clan based which is why Im worried about you guys taking the Ronin-Route, in the end though I'll deal with it as it comes.

Research the suits yourselves and decide which one you like best. I personally like Ash but some of you might want Rhino or Nekros or any of them.

Im only pushing for Clans for realities sake, there is only so much a single Tenno can do after all.

You guys aren't immortal in this quest, you can and will fail.

That said, i'm not out to punish you. Just don't put yourselves in a position where some form of backlash is needed for your actions etc. That said a second time, just following the Tenno Way will result in Grineer/Corpus assassins, invasions ambushes assaults and all sorts of goodness.

Rance is a series based around a serial rapist who, due to the fact he has an unlimited level cap, generally does what he likes.
He ends up conquering several kingdoms, killing near-invulnerable demons, selling and getting back his soul, and multiple other deeds, then giving up those kingdoms due to the fact that everything aside from the women are boring.

Just woke up. You need to run either sooner, or later. Anyways, my thought is that we can make our own clan. Lead by example.

The decision of 'I am Tenno' more or less means we embrace the being an Orokin weapon part. We can disregard tradition and not fret over progression when we need. At least, until we have our memories back...which I'm sure will happen while we meditate. At the moment, my opinion is that we should look for a way to move around on our own, and meditate/fight in the meantime. Once we can come and go as we please, we say our goodbyes, and head out in search of Orokin to protect...or see what killed them all and avenge them. Learn why the Tenno failed, and what else can be done.

We are an Orokin weapon. Made to fight with honor and grace in defence of all Orokin. For now, that should be all we need, because we are Tenno.

And a funfact, the writer for the games between Rance 2 and Sengoku is a woman

Game Lore-Wise when the Tenno all awakened to find the Orokin gone and themselves masterless the Lotus appeared and gave them
direction.

As time went on and the fragile Tenno developed their minds and powers they began to experience different ideaologies, see Fang and Claw Clan's [not canon]. All Tenno still 'serve' the Lotus but they also have their own direction now. Above all, each Tenno aims to bring peace to the galaxy. That is what being Tenno means, it is what they were originally created for.

The problem I just realized is that a lot of you guys are thinking that the Tenno are JUST weapons.

They were created to be weapons true, yet they are still living beings and as such developed communities and culture. "Being Tenno" does not equal "Being a weapon"

Essentially, you follow Bushido which is why I am hesitant when you guys seem keen to fling yourselves down the path of a Ronin.

o-okay anon.
>>
>>33124663
I dunno about the others but I'd love to play an MC like a traveling swordsman, learning from various dojos, killing for pay and getting to see the solar system, free and independent.
>>
>>33124663
But see, it's not us who think that. It's the ideology our newly-awakened, memory-less Tenno. Who is still recovering from awakening in such a harsh manner.

I'm sure the thinking of our dear MC will change when he remembers his life from before.
>>
>>33124727
So you're saying that you think MC believes himself to be "just a weapon"?
>>
>>33124762
That's that one anon who thinks that. I'm a different anon and I disagree with him. That's why I also feel you should start your thread earlier so we can get a bigger following so there's more variation
>>
>>33124762
From what I saw, he believes himself to be just that, a weapon. Or rather, he doesn't know what else he could be, or should be. He has no memories of anything but fighting, no knowledge of anything but war and that its what the Tenno were made for. And a disdain for both being mired in meaningless tradition but even more for ignoring the Path of the Warrior.

Thus his next option is to find someplace quiet to think and remember. And to plan his next move. To the Citadel!
>>
>>33124848
Should I be less subtle?

You guys know Im trying to be subtle in some areas right?
>>
By the way, when IS next session?
>>
>>33124663
>fling yourselves down the path of a Ronin.
Just because we don't have a lord doesn't mean we're dishonorabru.
>>
>>33124875
Tomorrow same time as today. 3PM Australian EST

Which is +11 GMT
>>
>>33124882
And just because we don't want to join these particular bands of assholes doesn't mean we won't find some other clan.

Anyway, your whining about how you're disappointed that we're not playing the character you want is turning me off this quest, so either railroad us into your awesome story or shut the fuck up about it.
>>
>>33124931
I never said disappointed, just worried.
I've just been confused how you guys are drawing parallels between things that aren't there.

In other words, eat shit.
