General Notes.

>Who are you?
You are Kouga, one of the brave soldiers that fight for the love and peace of the world, a Saint. You were raised in the Sanctuary by your Master Integra and under the tutelage of the Witch of Darkness Medea. The Sanctuary considers you a prized soldier because you were born under the blessing of a Dark God, who hopes to use you as his dark messiah to destroy the world of light.
But you won’t have any of that… thus your main mission right now, besides being a Saint, is to find a way to make the darkness you wield yours and find a way to stop the Dark God from possessing you again.

>What are you doing right now?
Under orders of the leader of the Sanctuary, Pope Ludwig, you and a Partner were dispatched to assault the stronghold of a group of Alchemists who were trying to rebel against the Sanctuary and producing Black Cloths. Your mission is to stop the production of these replicas and, if you can, to take some samples back to your teacher Medea.

To make things more complicated, you just found your powers of darkness belong to a certain evil Dark God that wants to devour the world until only darkness remains, but hey… at least you got to meet the Goddess Athena and called her cute!
That’s life!

Sadly you also learned that the Sanctuary has betrayed Athena and that you might not be fighting for what you think you are fighting for.

>How do your powers work?

Generally you have two elemental powers, the first are your electrical powers, which sadly over the years you have neglected. They serve as your primary ranged damage source and they have a low chance of stunning the enemy.

Then you have your Darkness Type Moves, which are used through Evil Right, generally you obtain some dice bonuses and DC bonuses depending on the type of attack used and when Evil Right is equipped you can use Curses and Witchcraft without having to waste a turn to prepare them.

In general your build resulted in you having weaker physical capabilities, and in turn you should use things like Elemental advantages and Curses to even the field.

>What is the elemental wheel?
Certain Elements beat others, the general idea is that if you use a super effective move on an enemy, you deal extra damage and will have an easier time rolling, the end. Some elements beat the weaker, generally it goes,

Wind > Elec > Earth > Water > Fire (> Wind.)
With Darkness > Light (>Darkness)

>Then what is an attack type clash?
Generally speaking attacks can be classified in three types, the first are Strikes, which are precise speedy attacks, and the second are the Guards attacks, which are iron tight defensive maneuvers, with Crashes being the third type which are powerful moves that exist to overwhelm the opponent.

These three attack types have a triangle relationship, in which Crash>Guard>Strike (>Crash). When you use an attack that beats the attack of your opponent, you gain an advantage, which translates in some extra DC bonuses.

>What is the DS thing in the Stat Sheet?
It’s how much influence the source of Evil Right has over you, the higher it is… well you guys know how these things generally go, right?

>Why didn’t you include X option in the choices?
Most of the time I just write what comes first to mind. If you want to do something else, have a different idea or want to use one of the skills not listed, then use the Other Option. It’s there for a reason.

As the light of the goddess fades away from around you, you finally feel free. Free from the oppressive aura of the Dark God, free from the light of Athena… and here and now you are finally alone.

Alone to return to what you are supposed to be doing.

Then you wake up.

Your name is Kouga, and you are a young Saint that has been chosen by no Star and that fights for the Sanctuary to protect the love and peace of the world.

The fact that you just found out that the Sanctuary just betrayed the Goddess of Love and Peace is not something you really want to think about right now.

Really you don’t.

The less you think of how your Master Integra might have betrayed everything she ever taught you, the better.

So waking up, you look around you and it looks like you are in some kind of box… no a coffin.

What? Before you can totally freak out, you think you can hear some voices outside your current dark and sealed prison and suddenly you know you have to get out.

The first thing you want to do is go out and check where you are, but you don’t. Last time you came out of an incredibly tough fight and the first thing you should do is to make sure you are 100% capable of fighting if something starts.

So you check your body.

You can barely see anything in the darkness of your metal coffin, so you try to feel your body. You flex all your muscles, and run your hands were you can and finally try to burn your cosmos lightly.

“So far good.” It looks like someone healed you after that fight, most of the damage has been restored and your right hand has returned to its normal state. “So good.”

Still that leaves you with your current situation and what you just learned.

How funny with everything that has happened, it feel like the whole thing with the Dark God is the least of your problems… which is why you want to think of that first. So far you know that that sealed God needs you for something… and that he gave you the darkness you use right now to be his dark messiah and herald a world where nothing but darkness exists.

At this point you should just ignore that guy and continue on your way… in the end, you don’t need his darkness, because the darkness you believe in is different than what the Dark God preaches.

Your darkness is not a tool to simply destroy…

But that leaves you with your main problem, the fact that Mars has really taken over the Sanctuary and that the Saints have betrayed Athena… this is big, like really big. And you weren’t sure what to do with this. Does this mean that you should just leave the Sanctuary and try to find Athena? Should you just keep things quiet and wait to check this deeper?

For all you know Athena could have been lying.

No, being honest with yourself, this whole thing bothers you not because of Mars or Athena, but because of your Master. Does this mean that everything Master Integra taught you about fighting for the Love and Peace of the world are just lies? And if she lied about that, has she lied to you about anything else?

You know you should simply confront her… but a part of you is scared of what the truth might be.

Plus do you even want to go back to the Sanctuary, or hell, do you even want to continue this mission. Maybe the best thing to do is simply to run away and not look back.
But before you can come to a decision, you hear a voice, “Lift the Seals,” and feel the top of your metal coffin begin to move.

Before the top is lifted, there is something you have to do. You have to burn! You picture the universe within you, and simply burn it.

It’s not as bright as before, and certainly it lacks the golden light you used against Black Tarantual, but even so, the cosmos you had was enough blow the box that was sealing you wide open!

“ORAAA!” Shinning like a fallen sun god, you rise from your grave, and stand in what appears to be some sort of Lab! Around you copper tubes, machinery and containers with foul liquids decorate the small lab while giving it a sinister feel.

Metal twist in all directions, you see come cylinders with some monsters that don’t belong in this world of light, and then you see all manner of weapons handing from the ceiling… this ‘lab’ certainly has some character you say.

Just like the home of a mad scientist… and now you are feeling a bit scared.

“You, Servant of the Gods, stop!” You hear a voice behind you, and you quickly turn around. Behind you, a young blond girl stands, holding a piece of white- “Arms Alchemy of the Black Gun, Come Black Barrel!” No, the steel suddenly transformed, into a small black gun.

Its looks nothing too special, to you it just seems like an ordinary hand gun, but… a part of you feel scared. No, the powers that normally flow into your right arm are scared by that thing.

>May you bring an end to those who don’t have any endings. By this prayer you were forged, Oh Spear of that heralds the end of all Divinities!

“Saint of Sanctuary, please control your fighting instincts and stop. I do not wish you any harm… I merely want to speak with you!” The eyes of the girl were cold and judging from the white lab coat she was wearing, this sort of girl has never wielded a gun like that before.

You know that if you move quickly enough… no, you can’t risk it. That gun feels too dangerous. Judging from that piece of white steel she had, that gun is probably some sort of alchemy weapon.

“I do not wish for further blood to be split in this place, Saint of the Sanctuary.” Even though her eyes are cold, you feel a certain warmth from this girl… no a certain light, something like this young woman is telling the truth.

But can you trust her? She is an alchemist right? A part of you feels wary of trying to trust of them after Black Tarantula tricked you.

The blonde wearing the lab coat takes a seat in the dark lab, while keeping her gun trailing at you, “Good that you ask, my name is Dr. Illumina, Dr. Mariebelle Illumina, and I am an alchemist of Atlas. I am the head of the Black Cloth Research Project that is being run in this facility, and most importantly to you, I was the one who saved your life after your battle with my student.”

Just like before with Black Tarantula, her worlds have a certain detached stoicism to them that scares you, how can a human be kill their emotions to this extent.

“I have several matters to settle with you, Young Saint! Like how I had to waste half my budget to save your life or how you almost killed Black Tarantula using those wicked powers… but most importantly.”

The blue eyes of this Alchemist narrow as she leans in, and suddenly you know that is important. “Young Saint, I have to ask of you, do you know why your right arm can change itself?” Dr. Illumina pauses for a moment, as she rewords of her question. “Young Man, your name is Kouga, correct.”

You don’t even bother to nod, but it somehow this woman knows she is right, “Then Kouga, I ask you to tell why through what methods your right arms transmutes itself into the arm of a fallen God?”

The way her blue eyes seem to shine with an otherworldly gold seem to scare you, but does this alchemist know about your Evil Right and the Dark God… maybe you two can help each other.

Technically speaking Kouga right now is stronger than the average Bronze Saint, so the guys at the Sanctuary thought that if Kouga and his Partner worked together, they would be able to deal with this easily. Obviously they lowballed the threat a bit, but oh well. That person feels that if worse came to pass, Kouga would carry the mission with his right arm.

Just want to note that this mission did not pass the usual channels in the sanctuary, and was not authorized by the person who is now directing all the active Silver and Bronze Saints. When you come back Sonia will have some words with that person who walked all over her./spoiler]

“God Hand…” Mariebelle Illumina whispers those words as if trying them out, and then just smiled, a wicked and evil smile that shouldn’t belong in the face of a cute woman like this one, “That is an appropriate title for your right hand, however sadly the god that is taking possession of your right arm is a fallen God, and as such that divine power has lost many of the authorities it once had. At this point you might even compare it more to the arm of a demon rather than the arm of a god, but still, I am sure that if you do not seal that arm it will work to carry out its original purpose.”

You were kind of overstepping your authority, but you right now you know you need to recruit this Doctor, you just know it.

For a moment Dr. Illumina stays silent as she considers your proposal, before just laughing. “Oh this is … this is incredible, I never expected this even in a million years.” Even though the Doctor’s s laugh is merciless, a part of you feel that she is not completely opposed to what you are asking her. “You don’t even know me or what I want of you and you want me to join you?”

“Yes, because I need someone of your skills, I just know it.”

“Hahah, you just met me, and now you are asking me to join you… how forward, but I like that.” Mariebelle’s smile is scarring you again, but you endure your fears, and wait for her to continue talking, “We alchemists believe in what we call Equivalent Exchange, Kouga, so if you ask me to join you, you must give me something of equal value.” Even now, the Doctor’s words are dry and clean, like she was just commenting on something she doesn’t care about.

“Sorry, but I don’t know what I could give you, but I promise that I will make sure the Sanctuary pays you well!”

“What I am asking for is not any mere payment Kouga,” At this point you feel something crawling into her voice, it’s a certain warmth… a certain emotion, “just like you are forward, then allow me to have the same privilege this one time. Kouga, I will offer you my services… and give you access to my research, my black cloths and even offer you a method to seal that right arm of yours. In other words I will give you my whole life…”

To an alchemist their research was their whole life, the sum of their existence and the meaning of their hard work. That is why they guarded that knowledge religiously and would prefer to kill themselves instead of giving it up.

Mariebelle Illumina’s arms snake around you, until her two hand rest on your holders, “Kogua, I will give you my whole life, but in exchange, I want to give me yours. I want you to let me understand you, your dreams, your past, your hopes, that power you have, and most importantly,” The Doctor’s blue eyes rest on your right arm, and for a moment you think you see her eyes flash. “I want you to let me study your right arm, your so called God Hand.”

This this this is… this is… The Doctors hand feel heavy on your shoulders, but what she is asking is not much right? In exchange for giving everything she has done until now, she wants you to allow her to experiment on your right arm?

“Then I also want a subtle manipulation clause!” This one is very important, you have learned from Medea to be wary of older women who subtly manipulate you into doing dangerous work while ‘Ara-Araing’, so yeah you don’t need another Medea in your life.

Just by living with one another, humans subtly cause the behaviors of their peer to change in respond to their actions… that also counts as subtle manipulations… accepting this sort of clause would limit the time I could interact with you.” Mariebelle frowns for a moment as she works the problem out, “The best I can promise you is to try my best to now trick you into doing something… would that be enough?”

I have to add that I promise to respect your privacy as best as I can, but such a waste of time are not things I can tolerate.”

“Now that you have stated your clauses, then let me add some counter-clauses.” The Good Doctor then went on a series of clauses that she wanted you to consider, they ranged from asking you permission to perform tests, to rights to ask for blood samples, to naming her your primary doctor and most importantly she wanted you to keep using Evil Right.

“That Arm of a God is very Important, Kouga, it will be a vital part of my research, so I can’t have you not using it. At least use it when we perform certain tests, if you would kindly consider it

“Correct, our grand desire is to make a Philosopher’s stone, but is is not meant to literally turn lead into gold, no… our desire is to turn transform our impure existence into a more perfect one… to transform the lead that is a human into the golden state… a state that is similar to those of the gods.”

The Good Doctor stops for a moment, and you feel her voice take a certain hint of emotion, for the first time you feel you understand what really drives this woman, what really makes her tick, “You arm even though crude, is a step in the right direction. It somehow manages to turn your human flesh into a greater existence, one that carries the authorities of a god even though these are diminished.”

“In short… I feel that if we study your Evil Right, we might really be able to evolve humans to the next step. Our goal was to be like Gods… and with your right hand we might be closer than ever. I just feel that if you help me we might be able to create a more perfect human… to be able to turn humans into fallen Gods, no to turn humans into something different than Gods… into Demons.” Her blue eyes now shine with her hope, and her emotion is thick with emotion, with passion, with her hope. “That’s why I do not mind signing this contract with you, Kouga, because if this work, then there is no price I wouldn’t mind paying for it.”

The Good Doctor just smiles, as a roll of paper just appears between the two of you, “Kouga, this is our contract, a Geas Scroll that will engrave the terms we agreed upon. In exchange for everything I am, I hope that you will give me the key to our future, Kouga.”

You snatch the scroll from the spot it hovered in the air and read it fast, so far so good. It included all the clauses you agreed upon and didn’t seem to have some weird trick to take your soul or anything like that.

It just was a simple contract, right?

Even so you signed the binging pact, and that was how you recruited a new Alchemist!

“Then, Kouga, let me give you the first fruits of our pact, this is what you requested of me.” Dr. Illumina reaches into her white lab coat, and pulls out a black crystal from it. “I originally made this to help Victor III, but sadly it failed, but I believe it should work for you. This is my masterpiece, the most perfect of all the Black Cloths that I have made, a true living cloth that is on par with the original, and I believe that with it your problems will be solved.”

The Doctor just smiles, as she gives you a small black stone… no a Black Clothstone! “So Kouga, please accept the Cloth that I created, the Black Pegasus Cloth!”

You have Medea's shinning ball, but right now your partner is killing an immortal fire bird and he has to try learning some magic to seal the guy.
