The god sends out thick bolts of electricity to counter it giving a chance for Jager to set up two turrets. They begin firing vampiric spikes at the god, but quickly bust as the raw energy overwhelms them. Shiba summons up a cloud of her own to get some distance while Hiroshi just sighs and draws his sword, perhaps still thinking about that thing that happened yet I refuse to remember because I was busy reading a dirty French novel.

No matter what we do in this fight, once we start actually doing good (80+), I want to roar at him so loud it drowns out the lightning and thunder. Use all of them hundreds of thousands of voices we stole and have been letting gather dust.

This one is clearly a master of electricity, your chosen element. Focus to make yourself insular, an unlikely target for the flow of electricity, but do not make your own current. You lack the power and focus to overpower his electrical dominance, and even a spark you made can be turned against you. Instead, think of him as a battery. Eventually, he will run out of juice, especially if you ground him. Jager's spikes can possibly help, but nothing she makes on a first release will be able to handle the power flow. Making yourself into a living lightning rod might also work, but you'd still have to draw the energy out of him. Perhaps have Jager hand you a vampiric spike, and then you can siphon out the energy flow before it breaks, sending it right to the earth. He'll have to be immobilized until he's drained, so Sufreque can also help.

Means is half and half. He would be able, but he would presumably be better at it than whatever did the blight-booping. He did cleaner upgrades on shinigami than whatever did this before he even got Soul King parts. Also he's locked in another dimension or something and I doubt the shittygami visited him and came back. Motive... I got nothing. Maybe he thinks we don't want the shinigami because we don't seem to give a fuck about them and wanted to use a couple for gathering gods for him or something. That as a motive is iffy as fuck.

He can upgrade shinigami, but his brand of residual funk that he leaves is different and we've seen it before so we'd probably recognize it if it was his. So means is iffy. Motive is a great big obvious "HE'S LOKI."

Both have SCIENCE! and fucking with Risa as possible (very likely) motives. They'd also both presumably love to get their hands on more gods, and since the shittygami were binding and not eating, they very well could have been an experimental god-gathering squad. They both totally have the means to upgrade shittygami. "Blight" also fits better with their stuff than any other suspect. The black gunk on Whitey comes to mind for Lilith and blight is pretty similar to cancer tumors for Mendel. So Motive is check and means are big fucking check.

Closer to the last, Azure mentioned the Royal Guard. Fuckers have probably picked up enough of what remained from the Soul King to feed some of their numbers. The end result is some vaguely supercharged and likely unstable form with a short lifespan. Soul King's power will likely rot them from the inside in no time.

You sonido over the crackling landscape, your body leaving a violet blur of light in your wake, and slam your knee into his stupid face. A wave of electricity swims out of his body and across the ground, your own electricity barely shielding you from the wild energy.

You land on the ground and do a quick spin slamming your heel into his jaw and sending out more bolts of lightning. This isn’t so bad, you think. He is not as sticky as the last god you fought, and that will make your cleaning bill much easier. You see his bloodshot eyes turn to you and he is gone in a flash. You blink as the scent of ozone fills your nose, then cough as a fist slams into your stomach and you see the god teleported next to you, or something similar. A bolt of electricity cuts through your stomach filling the area with the stench of cooked meat.

You summon a portal behind you and snake one of your tails through. It leashes out and bites down on the god’s leg, digging deep and drawing blood. He doesn’t seem to care as he picks you up and sends another blot of lighting through you, this time cooking your chest and boiling your insides. You scream, then crack open your chest around the wound and bite down with ribs/teeth. Your ribs vibrate and tear into him and you think you have him for a moment.

Your various openings glow as he gathers energy in the fist you are biting down on and you begin to smoke. He continues gathering energy, and you have to think fast to let go of him as your regeneration gets overwhelmed. He kicks you as soon as you let go breaking your hold on his leg with your tail and sending you flying back.

He make out like a bolt of lightning, literally, and kicks you up into the air before you get too far. He nearly chases you again but a wave of inky pooling blackness washes over him like a wave at the beach. Sin-Fin rises out of the pool and cuts deep with her sword. The god sends out a bolt of lightning and, with ease it looks like, Sin-Fin carries the blast away from her. She swings a few more times until the god is forced back a few paces right into a massive mouth in her dress. It opens and bites down on the god holding him at the waist and you see Sin-Fin swing instantly, aiming for his neck with absolute precision.

The god isn’t hearing it as he supercharges his body and envelops all of her, him, and her dress in a wave of electricity. When your eyes readjust you see Sin-Fin in tatters, coughing up smoke. The god raises a blade made of lighting and swings it down to try and decapitate her in the exact same move Sin-Fin was trying to do before.

However before the blade strikes a wave of spikes slams into the god’s blade, siphoning off the energy and making the man take a step back. He glares at Jager as she calmly advances, her spikes firing wildly.

A wave of concussive energy smashes into her and shatters her armor and you are certain you hear a few of her ribs snap as it slams home. She falls back as Shiba sends down a bolt of her own lightning. The god ignores it and, with a gesture sends a wave of energy her way as well knocking her back.

The god charges his weapon again and swings at Sin-Fin, but is stopped by a flying tackle. You see Ryoko’s skin bubble and hiss as it gets raw lightning poured through her. She lifts the god and slams him down into the ground before sending a few punches his way. The god twists under her and sends her flying, and you see she is flexing her arm a little as she regenerates, likely trying to get her nerves back under control.

We also can use the transport abilities of our allies if we need to. Sin-Fin and Plantdoka both already have Garganta r4 and Ryoko's Birfrost is the equivalent of a Garganta r5.

On top of that, the spxp upgrades to our garganta are far more useful to its functionality.

You see faint green energy form over your bodies as your regeneration is enhanced. You see Hiroshi’s sword has changed shape, probably that shikai thingy, and is already working at mending Jager and Sin-Fin. It is not enough to keep up with the speed of lightning damage, don’t ask. You charge forward with Ryoko and send out a blast of cero energy. He raises his hand and our cero is surrounded in crackling electricity, then slows to a stop in front of him.

You slip behind him and slam your foot into the back of his skull. He turns to retaliate and Ryoko slips under the attack to connect her fist with his stomach. The two of you continue your barrage for a little bit before you feel a hand dig into your throat. Raijin slams you into the ground and you feel your body shift to compensate for your neck becoming a cooked mess. You smile as your leg cracks open and sends up razor lined teeth to lash against his body. Ryoko seems to get an idea and, instead of helping you, she slams her fist into the stationary cero.

It explodes and sends Raijin, you, and Ryoko all in different directions. You push yourself up as the green aura surrounding you pulses and aids in your regeneration. Looks like Hiroshi can mass cast Regen III with his sword. Wonder what its bankai is.

Sin-Fin melts out of Raijin’s shadow and slams a spear of inky blackness into his side which twists and crawls over his surface. He reaches back and grabs her hair before she can slip away and pulls her out of the darkness. He sends constant lightning into her making her let out a shrill scream of anguish before throwing her into the falling Shiba who seems to have been making a play at impaling him.

He uses his lightning based quick movement to catch up to your lovely lascivious snuggle-fin and stabs his fingers into her stomach. You see droplets of red form around his fingers as her body starts to glow and smoke, her scream quickly turning into a gurgle before Shiba stabs him off of her. Sin-Fin smells alive, and with Hiroshi constantly healing everyone you suspect she will recover soon.

You sonido over to where he is and lash out with your kick like a whip. He electricity walks, awful name sorry, around it and slams his elbow down on your knee. It shatters, but you quickly grow a new one and send out a barrage of kicks.

Jager glances over to short-fin and chews on her lip for a moment before pushing some buttons on her gun and getting that weird scanner thing over her. In a moment the scan is done and standing there in black and white armor is Jager. It has a wolfish helmet with glowing eye pieces and you sort of want to call her the Iron-Jager because you like dashes and fancy comic books but you resist.

She seems to blank for a moment before saying “JAGER 3, online” then she dashes forward and slams a fist into Raijin making him take a step back. A gun pops up on her wrist in the gap between the step back and she fires a cero directly in his face. He skids back giving you a chance to lash out with cero enhanced, ultra dense tails. You finish the attack by wrapping him in your tails and sending him flying across the folded space.

He lands and you feel a surge of go juice as he pulls out a drum

This could either be an alternate attack mode that does heavy collateral damage and stuff, or a massive attack where he just goes apeshit on the drums and generates tons of concussive force. Either way, it might overwhelm Hiroshi's healing abilities since there will inevitably be a lot of splash damage.

You reach into your pants and grab your “I make people who listen to me crazy” guitar. You sonido to cross the distance to him as your tail vibrates in a way you are pretty sure you should let Jager feel some time. You think about abs as you see him ready his drums.

Shiba lets out a strange sound making you form an eye on your back and look at her. She seems to be holding a round jewel of some sort and, with a shrug, throws it at Raijin. As he slams down on his drum you can practically taste the building energy and you know it is going to be a big one. The gem gets caught in the energy around the god and when he hits it the massive concussive force and energy which would have been a huge attack gets caught in it and swirls for a moment. The energy overloads the gem, which shatters, before scattering harmlessly away from all of you and giving you the best chance to attack.

Your guitar collides with the God’s face and makes him stagger back as your guitar makes a high pitched sound you are pretty sure isn’t good. You take a step forward and slam it into his forehead making him take a step down. You almost reach for the drum but your ribs break and go into your lung making you stop. “Monologue what-“ You start.

What do you think would happen were someone to touch your guitar without permission? You kick out at his legs as Jager opens her weapon ports and fires out several small darts. They explode after digging into the god and you realize that was probably a bad idea. You morph your arm into something like a meaty flower and wrap it around his head. You send out three ceros with rip apart your upper body and send him flying back into Ryoko.

She grabs him and slams him into the floor a few times but her grip is weakened as another bold of soul destroying lighting tears her to pieces and sends her back. Her body hisses as it regenerates and you see him about to follow through but stops as the shadowy spear still clinking to him pulses.

Sin-Fin falls from the ceiling along with Shiba who has another jewel. She swings the angel blade and you see Raijin actually wince in pain as the blade sends out a bolt of pure divine energy through him. Of course the feedback is still the same, Sin-Fin’s arm tears open in a few places but she grits her teeth and holds her ground as shiba stabs into a jewel with her spear. “Jewel of tides. Crash.” She commands shattering the jewel and sending a wave of chaotic go juice at Raijin.

The effect, your think, is like getting caught in a dryer or a fault line. Different directions at different speeds, all going around and around. It sends Raijin flying back just as Sin-Fin performs her second swing and sends another attack at Raijin.

Her body tears itself open from the feedback and she uses her inky black dress to support herself. You chase after Raijin and leap into the air, ready to swing your guitar once more.

You slam down on his collarbone and hear a crack making you lament you couldn’t feel the blow directly. You swing back and connect again as Jager charges up in her armor. She takes something like a Muay Thai stance and starts raining blows down on him, her armor crackling as each blow sends out a stream of electricity in response.

You kick up and start your own martial arts around Jager and him, Jager striking like a battering ram and your attacks striking like whips. The dark spear inside Raijin twists and tears inside him as you continue your assault and as Ryoko leaps over you and your armored wolfu you think you make just beat the crap out of him after all.

Until he hits his drum.

A wave concussive force tears skin and muscle from bones sending you flying back like a thick paste, strewing your organs about the ground and Ryoko as well. You pull yourself together and look over at your Jager and see her armor insulated her, but part of it is gone, and the rest damaged. You see sparks fly off of Jager as she stands back up and points her weaponry at Raijin and continues to unload. Raijin hits his drum again and sends out an ultra fast lance of destructive energy at her. Small rockets on her sides flare to life and push her out of the way, but you see the armor on her right arm gets completely torn away from just a glancing hit.

You stand, your body mostly intact, and decide to take the heat off Jager by soniding forward once more. A lance of destruction carves up the ground, but you dream walk just out of its range just in time. You get close and slam your leg into him, instantly making your leg boil and smoke from his power.

As Jager continues pelting him from afar you see Sin-Fin slowly melt out of the shadows behind him, her hair already turning violet. Her dress changes to a patched together piece with punkish tones and smiles before biting down on his broken collarbone. Raijin flinches giving you a chance to tear into his meat with your fingernails and cut deep bloody gashes in him. He grabs Sin-Fin by the hair and throws her at you. “Oi! Stop pullin my hair or I’ll get turned on. You think you can take responsibility for that? Or, I guess she can. Quite the fit bird, and she keeps tryin' to get me in her tails.” Sin-Fin explains pushing herself up and kicking Raijin’s knee making him buckle.

She does a flip which connects a kick squarely with his chin and makes him stagger back. “Am I sharing too much? I’m a sharer I am. Always flapping my gums letting people know my thinking parts. What? Course I’m not coming on too strong.” Sin-Fin points out.

You take the opportunity she made and deliver a cero enhanced kick to the staggered Raijin’s midsection and sending him flying back once more. Sin-Fin lands in your lap and wraps her arms around your head. “I’m not coming off to strong, am I?” She asks as you hear another drum.

You both flip to avoid it and get slammed by a second drumbeat which sends both of you in pieces a few meters back. “Guess not,” You reply as you both start pulling yourselves back together. “I mean, look at that. We just mushed our organs together.”

“How lewd. Couldn’t you have bought me dinner first?” Sin-Fin asks your enhanced regenerations take over.

Raijin is starting to look worse for wear.

Your fatebreaker tells you that’s the wrong hole, but you know better than to listen to them. You feel your body vibrate a little as your perception of time is stretched and skewed to fit your enhanced abilities. Sin-Fin and you rush at the same time but you move faster than her by virtue of being timey wimey. Seems she is unable to use her mimic abilities on fatebreakers at least.

You summon an orb of gravity to give you a nice spin as you whip through the air and slam your leg into his ribs. He raises up and you feel your eyelids grow heavy and a little bit of drool trickle out of your mouth as the sensation of broken bones floods through you. You duck under a retaliatory strike, the lightning clipping your shoulder, and sending raw agony through you which makes you all the more weak in the knees. You hold it in as you charge your arms with ceros and slam them into him. The first detonates and sends you into a spin which you use to slam your elbow into him and detonate your other arm.

He goes back as you fall on your knees, and summon a singularity above your head. You open your mouth and start flinging up ceros into the mass, your wings stabilizing the mass of energy. You lock all nine in before wrapping your tongue around it and flinging the mass of energy, your arms still not grown back. It chases after him and you think you are going to have to do catch up but a Risa-Fin in front stops you. You see her summon up strange black and violet ceros of her own which she launches at the flying god and you finally figure out what is happening.

Above Raijin Jager has all her weapons system’s locked, her computer calculating your higher speed and plotting an intercept course. You see a small jewel flying through the air, and a pair of giant metal fists roaring to cover the distance. As you exit Hate Engine you see them all collide, the rushing energy making you throw up as you finish regenerating and your senses are overwhelmed.

You look up and see Raijin as the dust clears standing, but with chunks missing from him. He tries to hit his drum, but Iron-Wolfu slams a pair of spikes down into his hands, and then into his chest preventing him from using it. Risa-Fin is looking at the defeated god with an air of hunger to her.

Honestly, as the spd debuff, it was probably the most powerful ability there. Speed determines actions per round, which means that lowering enemy speed results in us getting hit less each round, meaning less juice sunk into regen. It also means that they have a harder time dodging our attacks and have to waste a higher percentage of their actions on dodging or defending from us.

It was effectively a buff to our go-juice, str, spd, and dur.

“Right then, let’s head back.” You say nodding. “You got any spare knickers in your stuff at the inn?”

“Yes sensei.” Ryoko replies as her rage winds down.

“May as well pop in for a bit then.” You say as Hiroshi opens up a path between the worlds.

He keeps his shikai out to continue the regeneration and you see Jager’s armor gets absorbed by her gun once again. Jager does look rather good, by the way. Sort of an active thing. You go the inn and find your stuff just as you left it, all prepared and nice. Ryoko asks if you would like to help her change but Hiroshi gently pushes her back into the room and closes the door.

“Hm, I wonder how the shrine will be when we get back?” Hiroshi wonders.

“It will probably work itself out.” You reply. Or we murder everyone until it makes sense.

“Ri-chan, I am somewhat worried about what you said.” He says. “Hm, how should I put it.” Hiroshi wonders.

“Look love, this is about as good as I get. You seem to forget that hollows all got a big chunk of them missing. Seems like I wasn’t too good a person when I was alive either and getting parts of me ripped out and forged into something powerful certainly didn’t help matters.” You explain.

“Ah, I suppose that must be true.” Hiroshi sighs.

Jager leans against the wall and frowns the towel she was using before wrapped around her neck. “But I feel like you are doing your best.” Jager explains. “You don’t really hurt anyone that doesn’t deserve it” Unless it is funny. “Or try anything too bad” Killing the world being only a maybe on your list.

Jager scratches her head as she seems to collect her thoughts. “Anyway. The point is I trust you.” She explains.

You sonido over to her and cling on. “Aw, Jager is getting all shy because of Risa being her bestest friend.” You explain.

The Shinigami are broken and divided. Their entire belief structure was exposed as a sham and are practically nonplayers at this point in the game (they were never players in the game, just pawns and will remain pawns until they die)

They need a strong leader to quell their doubts and give them discipline (and be loyal to Risa.)

I like Shiba and Hiroshi but the Shinigami are a luxury and mainly exist to bolster the number of our canon fodder. I'd like to keep them but they do have a cut off point if the headaches they cause outweigh their benefits.

“Never, we are bonding now.” You explain happily.

Ryoko comes out and, seeing you in a manly “Womanly.” Womanly embrace with Jager tilts her head and then shrugs and hugs her as well.

You tease her for it for a while, and then your group sets off to see the sights. You look around for any god but are disappointed when you don’t see anything, then leave back for the shrine.

You arrive and note everyone seems to have gathered in the main shrine area. Hiroshi and Shiba frown and go to check it out, likely going to be drawn in an infinite debate about things. You grumble and move to join in but feel Jager’s hand on your shoulder. “Hey, maybe we should stay out of it. Go do something else while everyone argues about pointless things.”

“We could all grab a bath since we got all sweaty.” Ryoko offers.

You finally find your plant in the play area in the back of your shrine, cleaning things up and working on stuff so Zweity will have a nice place to play.

“Welcome back!” Your plant was going to say, and you can tell by how he looked at you.

“You!” You say pointing at her, your eyes full of accusation. “You were not there today! I had to go off and fight the forces of darkness, or at least forces of not me, alone!”

“I’m sorry onii-chan. I had to help my friends with their school work and I wanted to get some stuff to fix up the shrine. Please don’t be mad, I just wanted you to see how responsible a big sister I am to Caede and Zweity! I wanted to show how I was just like you!” Your plantdoka heavily implies by way us twitching back with a strained smile.
